IT'S CROSSOVER WEDNESDAY

It all started one day when Ohio Jack was reading his maps. Then Xanu appeared unexpectedly. Mr. Jack jumped back startled. He always thought himself a coward and this was Xanu, so he shivered at the sight of this “artificial god”. 

“Mr. Jack. I remember the last time I saw you, I had to get a crystal out of your abdomen.”

“Yes. I remember that. You made my targeting hard.” 

“Well, I am not here for this. I’m here to ask you a favor.” 

“What?” 

“I’m here to drop off my adopted daughter.” 

“Wait. You’re a dad?” 

“I adopted the star child centuries ago. Hang on.” 

Xanu disappeared and Mr. Jack could hear his voice saying, 

“Drop Star, I’m going to be away for a while. Now behave until I come back. Alright?” 

Mr. Jack could hear the voice of a young girl saying, 

“Ok, father.” 

Then a shimmering blue light appeared. Then it became a bright blue light. Then it disappeared and in its place was a young girl with light blue skin, white hair, yellow irises and a white and light blue dress. 

“Well, kiddo. I guess you’re stuck with me right now. I’m Mr. Jack. What’s your name kiddo?” 

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Jack. I’m Drop Star.” 

But then comes a knock at the door. Mr. Jack goes over to the door and he finds Sips. A merchant he hired to be an adventurer. He looked very grumpy as usual. But tight next to him was an ogre child with a big smile. 

“Hey, Jack. I’m just here to drop off Vicky. All you have to do is make sure she doesn’t follow me while I go prevent a genocide.” 

“Alright?” replied Mr. Jack. He was not going to question that. This was Sips after all. Just as intimidating as Xanu. And he was just a monkey. 

Vikcy and Drop Star became fast friends. Like, fast friends. Mr. Jack couldn’t keep up with kid energy, so he picks up a book and calls the two kids inside. 

“What’s that?” asked Drop Star. 

“This is a book.” answered Mr. Jack. “Here, you can tell a story by writing it down for another to read.” 

“Is there adventure?” asked Vicky. 

“Are you kidding me? Fencing, battling, climbing, ships, revenge, loyalty, love, justice, miracles. There is enough adventure to tell and quipes to quote later.” 

So he reads this story. If you have read Princess Bride and watched Fool’s Gold, you know what’s going to happen. Role Credits right here. 

Fruit Bat- Buttercup 

Sips-Wesley(he is not going to like that) 

Erina- Inigo Montoya(they avenge their dads) 

Gothor- Fezzick (for obvious reasons) 

Bou Clair- six figured guy 

Texas- Humperdinck (they have the attitude) 

Who else?! Oh right. 

Xanu- Miracle Max (Don’t believe me? Keep reading.) 

Old Gothi- the person who persuades Miracle Max 

Ohio Jack- the reader 

I feel like I’m missing a few characters, but… OH WAIT! 

Quinn~nora- Fezzinni 

And that is all I can think of. Unless you guys have something to add. 

"Do you want me to continue or no?"

"Get back, witch!"

"I am not a witch, I am your old friend. But from hearing all of that, I probably do not want to be that anymore now, do I?!!"

Teve a largada cancelada por causa de problemas elétricos no barco do Team Checo.

Na largada Vicky Piriá  largou bem e se manteve na frente mesmo com os problemas “técnicos”

A vitória da semi-final 2 ficou com a Oaki Racing .

Semi-final 3

Largada  Emma Kimilainen e Anne Glennon  largaram bem

Momento em que Emma Kimilainen assumia a liderança

Na  2ª volta Phelin  Kavanagh e Anna Glennon passavam na long lap.

Momento em que o barco da Team Miami estava parado no meio da pista e chamava uma bandeira amarela na pista inteira

Vitória na semi-final 3 foi do Team Blue Rising

Semi-final 4

Boa largada do Team Rafa

Momento em que o Team Drogba tinha problemas

Momento em que vinha punição para o Team Rafa por queima de largada passar duas vezes na Long Lap. A diferença nesse momento era de 16.76s para o Team Brasil com Catie Munnings.

Momento em que o Team Rafa com Tom Chiappe passava pela 1ª vez na Long Lap.

E a diferença para Catie baixava para 2.70s  nesse momento.

Momento em que o Team Drogba passou o Team Rafa quando ia passar na 2ª Long Lap por causa da punição.

A vitória da semi-final 4 ficou com Team Drogba com Yousef AL-abdulrazzaq, com o resultado combinado o Team Brasil e Team Drogba passaram para a final.

Watching Cats 2019 right now and I’m delighted so far

... but the instances of dogs killing the cats ARE few and far between? Four dog killings in 20 years of stories and hundreds of cats over even more time in series? That doesn't even keep up with real life. The cats run into dogs constanly that just chase them or are even friendly all the time, and they live out on the farmland where I presume they're dealing with farm dogs who are trained to attack predators like foxes and coyotes to protect livestock. They aren't running into some well trained tiny show dogs, its a whole pack of dogs that have no owner in sight out in the farmland obviously something's gone wrong.

Also it's a series about cats, they're gonna use their "natural enemy" for the drama and of course no matter what it's going to be brutal and horrifying from the perspective of the animal being killed in the scenario. Also they're predators, maybe some dog lovers don't wanna hear anything bad about their precious babies but dogs sometimes just kill small animals, like all the time, even when they're just playing. There is a reason you leash train them, and don't just let them wander, and you have to replace broken toys. They are predators. And this is before you bring the fact that these books are simply dramatized from the perspective of cats.

Two instances of an onscreen mauling across nearly 100 books where cats die left and right does not indicate they "hate dogs". Honestly given how incredibly rare it is despite how close these cats live to dogs and how every single time there's a clear excuse even if it isn't outright stated shows the opposite, and given they go out of their way to show cats who have dog companions it comes off as the opposite.

Dogs are one of the cat's predators that they face, it's not hatred to depict dogs being predators, or do they also hate badgers and snakes? Especially snake bites get significantly more greusome kills. But I guess no snake lover is going to accuse them of portraying snakes doing what snakes can do from the perspective of their victims as "snake haters." Do they hate cats because of cats like tigerstar and darktail who are depicted specifically with malicious intent and even the good cats have kills under their belt? If the series was told from the perspective of the mice they kill every day? No, I don't think anyone would.

Out of curiosity just because I’m not sure of the connection- but why would UK authors have anything of relevance here? Just genuinely curious since I’m from the UK and I wouldn’t know the relevance here.

We were just talking about how recently the brutality of dogs attacks has seemingly increased while there are less dog encounters overall. In Vicky’s era curious, boisterous, presumably not too harmful dogs popped up from time to time and chased the cats around for a bit but that seems to be much less so recently. Now when dogs are used at all they only seemed to be used for the purpose of causing a particularly brutal death rather than chase scenes. I remember a chase scene in Hawkwing’s Journey and maybe one in apprentice’s quest? But in Vikcy’s era these chases did seem to have more frequency.

And I am extremely aware dogs are predators, and will kill things (in the warriors universe they are the non-cat animal directly responsible for the most known animal attack deaths), but the recent portrayal of dogs in warriors just seems to generally be more savage as a whole than they used to be.

Like I mentioned (but I don’t think I made clear sorry) I really don’t think it’s dog hatred I just think it’s a case of “ok we need a brutal kill - dog attack is effective here” because let’s face it, for books set in the UK bloodlusted dogs would be the most dangerous animal threat for a cat to face. What I’m trying to say is that there seems to be a slight shift in how dogs portrayed recently - but again I should stress I don’t think this is dog hatred, just a convenient threat paired with probably not having enough time to put a chase scene with a terrier or something in at another point.
