Bye team discounts, hello team accounts
Lovely illustration by Vika Semykina, discounts our own
We are full of plans. New website. Next iteration of the UI re-design. Better, more sophisticated search. New customization options, more convenient than CSS edits. Many fixes and improvements for both desktop and mobile apps.
But before all this is released, we are going to introduce a big future change into Checkvist's architectural, functional and pricing model. Team plans.
'PRO team' will be a new group account type, with
Centralized data ownership (no more fears when an employee leaves the company),
Safer user management and granular payments,
Improved access rights management.
There will be more 'Team' features, of course, but these will come first.
The Free plan and the safe upgrade/downgrade policy remain the same. The current PRO plan's pricing and policy remain the same.
Current customers will pay what they have subscribed to, just as it was for the last 10 years.
What we are going to do though is removing team discounts. And change yearly one-time payments to yearly subscriptions (if you want a one-time payment, just cancel the subscription - and you won’t be charged for the next term).
So if you are thinking of buying several PRO accounts with a 10-30% discount, you have ~3 weeks to do that.
Supporting group work is a big step forward for us. Hope you like the news :)
Onwards!

Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan warns against opening of new Wine shops in Jammu
JAMMU: A delegation of Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan under the directions of the its president Ch Lal Singh Tuesday lodged a protest against the opening of new wine shops in Jammu and also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu. In the memorandum, the DSS expressed shock on the change of recent policy of Excise Department in which they made a scope to open more wine shops in Jammu province. DSS warned the authorities on any such move in the State and casted aspersions on so called new political leadership of Jammu, which was allowing all this to happen. Taking a strong note of the new guidelines, according to which the parameters of the distance from schools, colleges, and other religious places has been reduced from 300 Meters to 100 Meters, Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan sought a high level enquiry to identify the persons behind this decision. The DSS delegation told the Div Com that this new policy would not be accepted under any circumstances. "The so called leaders of the Jammu whose future seems to be dark and they are sure about this, now have applied for the new wine shop licenses so that in the coming election they can mislead the youth and the people of the Jammu," the delegation said and added that the people of the Jammu have already suffered a lot because of the wrong policies of the Kashmiri dominance. The DSS delegation also conveyed its resentment over the mobile telephone response tune in Kashmiri language even as Jammu people don't understand Kashmiri. "It seems that all the telecom companies intentionally and unintentionally imposing the Kashmiri culture on us and deliberately confusing the people of the different regions. Dogri Language is also under the eighth schedule of Indian Constitution and therefore, response tune in Dogri language should be played as early as possible," DSS said and warned consequences if no action is taken on these issues. The DSS delegation was led by KD Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, Adv B S Jamwal, Sudershan Choudhay, Vikas Dutt, Navneet Kaur, Advocate Vikrant, Raju Pehlwan, Raghav Khajuria and S Daljeet Singh.
