yeah i agree. marvel has been trying to push this thing for the past few years that the inhumans are somehow as oppressed as mutants and it leads to some very tone-deaf, insensitive writing (ie in the dazzler one shot). imo the ONLY inhumans that can be called heroes are crystal and medusa, and both of them have been going through dedicated character assassinations for the past 5-6 years. the inhumans function at their best when people (writers) recognize they belong to a fucked up society and work with that instead of the outside world

if your attraction to men feels forced or just something you assume to have.. or like if feeling attracted to men is more of a chore or like.. gives you anxiety. that was what hinted me to it. but i heard some people just realize they have the option to not like men or think it's too much trouble and that makes them realize they're lesbians. because they really have no attraction tieing them to liking men... but it varies a lot. you can always try out labels.

i think the part about it being something i assumed i had to have is like far too relatable...and you’re right i think i’m going to try it out as a label and see if that makes me comfortable? ty cruz ily 🖤

not to force labels on you but lots of lesbians have attraction to fictional men and celebrities it's normal but personally i think lesbianism is defined by prioritizing loving women more than strictly being attracted to women

Like, everyone likes them but if you don't actually like any guys irl/ don't think you'd ever enjoy being with one/ whatever than lesbian probably sounds right??? for me personally i realized i was a lesbian when i realized i could never imagined myself with a man and liking fictional men didn't exactly mean i loved men irl but every lesbian has a different experience

it’s beyond irritating like every time i think they’re slightly close to approaching the actual plot they pull a “gotcha!” and go back to where they know nothing!! like i could literally care less about jonah or whomever the fuck he is and karolina’s mom&dad!!! the whole reason the comics worked was because vaughan understood pacing and had them run away by the end of issue 6...

Not a big Reed fan myself but it's more because half the time I run into him Sue is sad because she's being ignored. I know he has a load of positive qualities, I just really dislike the dynamic I've seen him in with his wife and other characters.

reed does have a tendency to get hyperfixated on his work, but imo you couldn’t be more wrong about the dynamic between reed and sue? reed’s intelligence and drive and kindness were what sue was attracted to initially. and when it comes down to it, reed values his family over everything. he’s turned down omnipotence, godhood, and unlimited power/knowledge multiple times because he loves his family so much that he can’t leave them. and he’s an attentive husband so much so that he stops in mid-battle to console sue if she’s feeling down. he reads books to his kids at night, he plays board games with franklin, he encourages val’s drive, he takes in so many kids/people who don’t have another place to go and is attentive to all of them. i can easily pick out 1000s of panels where reed is a loving attentive husband, father, friend, and mentor because at his core, reed loves more than anything or anyone.

i think the issue with the dynamic you (and others i’m sure) see in reed and sue’s relationship is that you are reading material where they aren’t a focus. and we all know marvel writers have a loose grasp on canon, so non-ff writers tend to play up issues between the two because they can’t imagine a relationship without drama ig. and even then, they’re the most successful and long-lasting relationship in all of comics (married for 52 years and counting!) because even non-ff writers can tell that nothing will keep them apart because they love each other so much!!
