alright, i'm not sure how much of this is already commonly known but i have been investigating the source of these images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and this video:
youtube
a comment on this blog post suggests that they were taken in sydney:
Tumblr media
the upload date of the video also dates the events to before january 2008. we know that tucker rule and james dewees were there. the song they're singing is gloves by reggie and the full effect:
youtube
for these reasons, i THOUGHT that the photos and video were taken at the sydney entertainment center on november 30th 2011. reggie and the full effect opened for mcr that night and gloves was on their setlist:
Tumblr media
this is backed up by this youtube comment on the dancing queen video talking about fluxuation in sydney (i unfortunately can't find the video it mentions but the channel is here):
Tumblr media
tucker talks about playing for mcr in australia in 2007 in this podcast clip:
youtube
this was what i THOUGHT. and i was going to post this but i thought i should do a little more research just to see if i could find anything more. and i stumbled across this livejournal post:
Tumblr media
every single image on the post is broken. but i'm pretty confident that the pictures we all know and love were in there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^this one especially seems to line up. they were taken at a bar called the lobo plantation in sydney on november 29th 2011.
the captions of the other pictures make me SO mad that they were deleted. im so fucking curious. well thank you to deleted livejournal user theyoungpretend for (probably) being the one to post these historical images. if anyone knows of any way to access the rest pls lmk (tinypic went down and all the images hosted on there were deleted)
Tumblr media
also this picture seems to have been taken on the same night??
here are some more (questionably worded unfortunately. like some of these are really insane) posts which mention what happened:
x (i think this may be from one of the people in the picture above?), x, x, x (hidden in. ryan ross/matt cortez fic?), x, x, x, x, x, x (masterpost where almost all the links are broken). ive saved all of these on the wayback machine in case they ever get deleted.
this iconic ray moment was the day after btw:
youtube
if anyone has any more info or any pics PLEASE let me know!!!!!!

Do you have any books to recommend for people who are new to writing but want to get into it? Ive got some money to spend on books and I’m not sure where to start, and I don’t wanna buy something that’s not worth it :,) but you’re one of my favourite writers and I trust that your taste is good considering your writing is beautiful 🫶🏾
ANONNNNN I’M SO SORRY THIS IS SUCH A LATE RESPONSE 😭😭😭 i spent … a little too much time stressing over what books to include. and how to describe them. blame my faulty brain ok!!!
BUTTTT first of all!!! i’m so honoured that you’d think to ask me this!!!! and that you trust my taste!!!!!! that you think my writing is beautiful (i sobbed btw) YOU’RE SUCH A SWEETHEART… thank you very much 🥺🥺
i decided to make a list of some of my overall favorites, but pls remember that writing is subjective!!!! i hope you can find at least one or two books on this list that intrigues you, and that you’ll end up liking the way they’re written too, but. y’know. there’s never any guarantee!!! i added links that’ll take you to goodreads, where you can check the summaries and reviews of each book to hopefully make the process easier for you 🫡🫡
with that being said!!! here are some ari book recs just for you <3333
war of the foxes - richard siken
my absolute favorite poetry collection, from my absolute favorite poet <3333 i’m assuming that you’re looking for novels rather than poetry but. i HAD to rec this one. because i love it soooooo dearly and it’s inspired my writing so much!!!! siken’s use of language is just …… sooooo tasty. so good. i’m completely obsessed with him. his other poetry collection is called crush and centers around tenderness/sex/violence (and the ways they blur together), but i’d say this collection is more about. art. making art. it’s also about love and war and. lots of things. but art is a big theme. paint on paint. etc. it made me severely ill in the best of ways <33 i really couldn’t recommend it enough!!!
eureka street - robert mcliam wilson
this book is . sooooo underrated 😔😔 i hate it so much. not the book i just hate that it isn’t widely renowned because it SHOULD BE. i read this for one of my high school english classes and it. changed my brain chemistry forever. it’s so good. wilson’s writing is so insanely gorgeous?? it reminds me so much of the writing in disco elysium (my fav video game + biggest writing source 🙏)…. honestly i think it’s worth reading for the writing alone. anyway!! this is a book about love. it starts with the quote ”all stories are love stories.” it’s also about the troubles, which is a conflict between catholics and protestants in ireland during the late 1900s. this book takes place at the end of a period of terror and bombings, but still manages to be about love first and foremost. the main characters are charming and silly and kind of insane in the head <33 this book is VERY funny btw… it had me laughing out loud a lot but also had me feeling so much. it’s so, so heartfelt. you can tell wilson loves belfast. and you can tell belfast loves its people. this book is so special to me and i don’t think i can explain its entire appeal with just words, so you’re just gonna have to trust me when i say it’s wonderful <33
the human flies - hans olav lahlum
do you like murder mysteries 👀👀….. i do. this is my favorite one. it’s very near and dear to my heart!!! the human flies is a classic whodunnit where a man has been killed in his apartment complex, and the other residents are all suspects. it’s about trauma. kind of. and it has a really good historial twist where it turns out that they’re all connected through ww2… but i think the greatest charm point of this book (aside from the mystery) is its characters!! they’re all really vibrant and charming. or not so charming. but they’re hard not to get attached to i think!!! this book also subverts the detective genre by making its detective really useless which i love <333 he ends up being contacted by a girl in a wheelchair who’s basically sherlock holmes and she does all the mystery solving. it’s great. if you’re into the murder mystery genre then i really recommend this one!!
beartown - fredrick backman
THIS BOOK . god. this is another one that i can’t really talk about coherently because it means so much to me. i think every single person on this planet should be strapped to a chair and forced to read it <333 this is a book about…. literally everything. if i had to pick just one thing it’d be community. but like… it’s about family. it’s about friendship. it’s about hockey. it’s about sexual violence and locker-room culture and their devastating consequences. it’s about cherry blossoms and the hope they carry. it’s about healing. it’s about a small town and the people who live in it. every single one of them are interesting. when it comes to the actual plot… i think it’s best to go in blind but i doooo feel obligated to tell you that the center of the book’s conflict is a rape. the first half of the book introduces beartown, its famous hockey team, its people and their stories. the second half deals with the consequences of this rape. backman wrote this book so, so thoughtfully. the topic is obviously sensitive but you don’t need to worry about the perpetrator not getting what’s coming to him, because he will. and ohhhhh BOY backman’s writing. his writing is so unbelievably pretty. that’s the best word for it. he’s literally carrying swedish literature on his bare shoulders. holy fuck. in conclusion; this is maybeeee my favorite book of all time? and you should read it :3 it’s very long but i promise it feels so fast once you get into it. it’s the kind of book that i think everyone can fall in love with!!!! it really did change my life i think.
the travelling cat chronicles - hiro arikawa
honestly, i think this is the book i’d recommend to you the most!! not because of quality (though definitely that too!!) but because i think it’s perfect for someone who’s just getting into reading. minus points for being kindaaa long but that’s all!! i think i should preface this by saying that this book made me cry LMAO. ugly cry. sob. i’ve never cried so hard reading a book before…. it wasn’t a bad cry though!! this book is sad but it’s also so charming and hopeful and sweet. it’s about a cat who travels around the country with his owner satoru(!!), not knowing where they’re going or why they’re going there. the kitty is the narrator and he’s sooo charming. satoru is too. their dynamic is so precious :(((( if you love cats then you’ll love this book, trust me!! anyway… to me this is a great pick for new readers because the writing is super pretty but also really. easy to chew? the story is also written in a very compelling way which should make it a pretty quick read despite its lenght!! it’s very much a roadtrip book :3 i love it a lot and even though it made me cry i consider it a bigggg comfort read (but i’m a jjk fan so take that with a grain of salt)
the stranger - albert camus
ok so!!! i did try not to add any classic books to this list because honestly i don’t think many of them are good introductions to reading. the educational system could learn from me . BUT…. this is one that i think you can get really hooked on even if you don’t study literature. this is a book about . existentialism. or just apathy (and overcoming it)… the protagonist doesn’t really want much in life. he just follows the herd. he’s basically like…. just some guy?? but also very much Not just some guy. because just some guys don’t answer their girlfriend’s proposal with ”if you want to.” or chainsmoke. or kill a guy because ”the sun was too hot.” yeah. he’s very charming (<- worrying taste in men), very weird and very interesting. most analyses on this book are just attempts to diagnose him. the central conflict of the book is the murder he commits, and the trial that follows, where the attention shifts from his actual murder to… the fact that he didn’t cry at his mother’s funeral. hm. this book is really fun. :3 and i love camus’ writing!!! like many books on this list it’s pretty but easy to chew, so i think you’ll enjoy it. read if you want to Think about life. or if you want to see meursault have his bisexual awakening in the middle of a murder trial.
the great gatsby - f. scott fitzgerald
jay gatsby they will never make me hate you…. remember what i just said about not wanting to add classics to this list? the great gatsby is another exception <333 honestly i just . really love this book!!! it’s such a short and tasty read!!!!! i’ve heard that american students really hate it because they were forced to read it and like . i sympathize but 🤨 c’mon. there are sooo many classics that are so much more hellish to read for school…. they don’t know how good they have it……. anyway. the writing is very pretty and the descriptions are soooo…. captivating. so many lines are stuck in my brain. (”they’re a rotten crowd. you’re worth the whole damn bunch put together” my BELOVED <333) people will tell you that this book is about the futility of the american dream and it IS but i also think you should make your own interpretation!!! because there are lots to make. personally i favour the queer one <33 because i’m…. me. gatsby is just . such a tragic character. but also so pathetic. and charming. he’s one of my og meowmeows. this book is worth reading if only for him. i need to dip him in olive oil.
kafka on the shore - haruki murakami
…. sigh . look 😔😔 do i like haruki murakami? no. do i like his writing? unfortunately yes. this book is fucking wild and kind of gross in . a plethora of ways (tw for umm cat beheadings? almost rape (in a dream)? fantasy incest kind of maybe…?? it’s not as bad as it sounds but like. it kinda is. idk.) but for some reason it’s still one of my favorites. i feel like murakami’s classic blend between fantasy and reality stays the same throughout his works and it’s just….. reallyyyyy tasty to me. i think that’s why i still think of this book so often. it really really moved me. and i mean…. let’s face it, his writing is very pretty. this is a book about growing up and it really doesn’t shy away from the discomforting topics that come with that. it’s also about talking cats and mommy issues. kafka has lots of them. i think he’s kind of annoying. the other characters are very charming though!! in this book you basically follow two different plot lines, and both are really captivating imo… buuuut the book is Very Long and very weird so i don’t know if i’d recommend it to someone who’s just getting into reading 😭 it really is very good though… if nothing else, read it for the Vibes. they’re very tasty.
waiting for godot - samuel beckett
this is a fun one <333 and a weird one. NOT a good rec for a new reader lmao but i do have to add it because i adore samuel beckett…. and this is my favorite play!!!!!! it’s usually associated with absurdism which i think says enough on its own. this is a play about…. waiting for godot. that’s all <3 the two main characters, didi and gogo, are basically stuck in a timeloop where they wait for godot to come. he doesn’t. they keep waiting. i adore this play for many reasons but some of them are: timeloops my beloved (1), didi & gogo are super funny and gay and their back-and-forth dialogue kinda turns into poetry sometimes (2), it’s SO much fun to analyze (3). godot can literally be whatever you want him to be. that’s so fun!!!! it’s a weird play but if you want to get into reading plays then… it’ll be here <33
giovanni’s room - james baldwin
aaaand finally!!!! this lovely gem <333 i’m actually not completely finished with it myself but i can tell you that it’s already one of my favorites!!!!! it’s about . shame. and tenderness. and morality. all that good stuff :3 i’ll try to keep this short but . basically…. it centers around a closeted gay/bisexual man who goes on vacation to paris while his girlfriend is vacationing in spain. in a certain bar, he meets a certain barman, whose name is giovanni. they really hit it off. sadly they’re doomed by the narrative. goshhhh this book is just. ough. first of all??? james baldwin is SO . fucking good. his prose is so gorgeous. soooo so gorgeous. worth reading just for that. but the dynamic between david and giovanni is …… so lovely??? and the glimpse you get into their heads is just so. beautiful. :((( this book is so SAD . but also not really. it’s bittersweet. david has to choose between a safe life and a happy life and he’s doomed to choose the safe life. that’s all there is to it.
aaaaand those are my recs !!!! i feel like i’m forgetting some really good ones……. but i don’t want to keep you waiting any longer :’3 i really hope this helps anon!!! i’m so excited that you’re getting into reading!!!!!!!! it’s really just a matter of finding writing that you actually like. i recommend searching up some quotes from each book, just to get a feel for the writing itself!!! pls know that i’m cheering you on in your reading journey 🫂🫂🫂
(and if you end up reading any of these then. pls do let me know!!! i’d love to hear your thoughts 🥺)

first off, it is incredibly clear that you're incompetent and don't fucking pull the autistic card. this is the autism website. i am also autistic. what fucking ever.
if you even just googled genocide and looked at the death counts, at the sheer amount of names of the dead, you would recognize the genocide as what it is, a genocide.
are you aware that there have been internet blackouts on and off in Gaza - perhaps the reason why there's no videos? did you know out of the 50 or so journalists working in gaza, that about half have been killed deliberately? and it is deliberate. ARE YOU AWARE THAT USING WHITE PHOSPHORUS (LIKE THE IDF) IS A WAR CRIME? do you know what that does to your skin? do you know what it looks like? do you know that the IDF has bombed at least one hospital, and the others are out of supplies. (the claim that hamas is operating in tunnels under them insane btw) do you care that children are being orphaned? Hamas would not exist if it weren't for Israel. It wouldn't exist if colonization of Palestinian land didn't exist. Also, if you really did see that shit, send me a link. Send me a source that's been factchecked. Just because the president of the US believed it, doesn't mean you have to as well!
hamas only exists because of israeli settlement. it doesn't take a degree in polisci to understand that.
i've seen videos of bodies. bodies bodies bodies. i've seen videos of people falling over in grief. you are talking about human fucking beings with the flippancy one might use when talking about football.
you're just like any other centrist. you stick painfully to the status quo but you chose the label to act like you think about things. nope! you are are just like every uncritical ignorant person on this earth.
and to answer your question: calling women thots for having their thighs out is misogyny. also if not transphobia, what did you wishing for a pre dylan mulvaney era mean? do you just not like the theater? why are you formatting your response like a child? Would you like someone who's openly kinky/weird/trans/etc in your church? be honest with yourself!
it is pretty fucking evident you don't give a single shred of a fuck about any of this in reality, or you're incredibly misinformed and see no issue with that. you are incredibly unserious, as well. if you take anything away from this at all, just know that you are talking about people who are being massacred. thousands and thousands of people, and you are defending the state that not only pushed them out of their homes but is also actively murdering them. this is not a war, or a conflict. Palestinians resisted, as oppressed people always have and always will, and israel decided to bomb anything and everything. they could've just gone in, killed the 'terrorists' and washed their hands, but they didn't. because it is a genocidal state.

Can you do a theory of how S.D.J got stuck in a tape? (Ik there isn’t much clues but I just wanted to ask) :)) Btw LOVE YOUR THEORYS!!! :D
Awww, thanks! I’m really happy to hear that you like my theories. 💖
Unfortunately, there is very little evidence at this time to create a solid theory about why Jack was trapped in the tape to begin with. I can, however, talk about what we do know about the tape so far and what my headcanons are.
I will be using some screencaps of the demo as well as images that were posted publicly on Sauce/Jambeebot’s public twitter before it was closed down, as well as links to the official Sunny Day Jack twitter. Gentle reminder to everyone - please don’t repost any of the private images posted on the Snaccpop Studios Patreon. The crew relies on those kind donations in order to make the game at all. Consider joining it instead, donating to the Something’s Wrong with Sunny Day Jack kickstarter, or just spreading word about this engaging game.
With that said, let’s start off with the tape itself.
Tumblr media
An ordinary but old and cracked VHS tape with a sticker on it bearing the words “84′ Incident” written in smudged red marker. It’s pretty well universally theorized that the video tape captured Jack’s death, which appeared to take place during filming of the SunnyTime Crew Show. We get a shot of the incident itself here on the twitter page. (Pun not intended.) There was also apparently children on set as well who witnessed the incident, according to the actor who played Cloudy-Belle Sue.
Tumblr media
We get a glimpse of this incident as well in the style of a children’s drawing on the title screen of the demo, along with a closeup of the tape.
Tumblr media
After that, Jack was trapped in the tape for (presumably) almost 40 years. To him it was a place where he couldn’t dream, where he felt cold, and where he buried his old self as Joseph to fully embrace the role of Jack.
Then MC gets a hold of the tape, pops it in a VCR, and is introduced to a rather confused but relieved Jack... only they don’t remember that. They just woke up the next day and Jack was just... there. Now the tape won’t play again, so there’s no telling exactly what is on it.
Seems pretty standard with ghosts possessing something involved with their murder and haunting whoever interacts with it right, right? What I find interesting is Jack is always called a ghost(?) The fact that this is in question at all suggests to me that there’s something more going on with him than the typical ghost can’t move on from their horrific murder story.
I think the fact that this is in question plays a part in how Jack was trapped in and is still connected to the tape. There’s too few clues to be sure of how that happened, so it’s just left to pure speculation on our parts. All we can be relatively sure of is that it’s related to Jack’s death and the incident itself.
You know, let’s take a moment to examine Jack and what he can do now. Maybe it’ll give more ideas about how he got into his situation.
Jack is quite an interesting sort of ghost(?). While it’s tempting to look at another game involving ghosts made by SnaccPop Studios, the Groom of Gallagher Mansion, as a point of reference for how other ghosts are depicted, I’m going to stick with strictly SDJ-related sources.
Jack is solid to MC (unless they don’t want him there), and can be perceived by all their senses, but no one else. He doesn’t show up in mirrors or recordings. According to a line from the Patreon-exclusive virtual body pillow, Sleepy Time Jack, he has a heartbeat. He has bodily fluids such as spit, sweat, and semen, as shown in the demo. He feels warm to the touch, not dead at all.
Well, maybe not all the time.
Jack has the power to influence other peoples’ thoughts and feelings. It’s most obvious with MC, where we have seen instances where he seems able to outright read their thoughts/narration, but he was able to influence Nick’s mind to the point of nightmares, insanity, and self-harm. For the most part he can’t interact with others, but it seems there’s a way he can force it?
Or maybe Jack could be perceived by others... but he has a reason to choose not to exert that much influence on reality.
Maybe it’s because he’s not strong enough yet at the start of the game?
MC’s love seems to make Jack stronger. There’s a “piece” of him in a place others could never reach, and that piece of him grows bigger and stronger. The stronger it gets, the closer he gets to being “one” with MC forever.
I think that “piece” of him is inside of MC and is vital to keep him solid and real. I suspect that Jack might have a “piece” of MC inside him as well... one he can make even bigger by taking more from them and giving more of himself in return, as suggested by a quote from the “no” route.
I want him to re-write me in this moment. I want him to do what he wants to help me forget anything that isn’t him.
He’s taking some part of me...
Infecting me with some kind of fever... Some need...
And I don’t want to admit it...
But I want to surrender and let him fill it.
Although MC is under supernatural influence that makes them addicted to the feelings Jack gives them, it seems as though their wants and desires towards Jack play a key part in everything.
In the game, if MC keeps their distance from Jack emotionally, he gets “colder” to them, and it could get to the point that they can’t touch him anymore. I imagine, if they turned their back on him completely, they could make him disappear altogether.
The influence Jack has on MC is subtle most of the time, just really good feelings mostly. I theorize this is a supernaturally-enhanced sort of empathy due to MC having a piece of him inside of them (and likely vice-versa). I believe that’s how Jack can detect MC’s emotions in return and catch some of their thoughts. It seems this works both ways, as suggested by the “yes” route, where MC can sense things about Jack but is too caught up in the pleasure they’re sharing to really think about it much.
He was close.
He didn’t even need to tell me.
I suspect if MC knew how to use this power, they might be able to have more of an influence on Jack.
After all, it seems as though if MC is going through something like, say, the pain of a period or being drunk, Jack experiences these things too. At least according to a couple posts from the Jambeebot twitter.
Tumblr media
(Again, keep in mind posts and art from Sauce’s twitter need to be taken with a pinch of salt when it comes to canon, as things can (and have) changed before the final product of the game.)
Jack himself says that MC makes him feel love, and he’s so happy to be with them. What if that’s why whenever MC spends time with him alone, they feel so happy? What if MC is literally feeling Jack’s love and happiness, which is why being around him feels so addicting? After all, isn’t it addicting to feel loved by someone so unconditionally?
It can be resisted as well, though even when they do in the “no” route, it’s a very weak resistance. MC is addicted to the warm and fuzzy feelings Jack gives to them, which Jack can intensify and doesn’t want to give that up.
I was suffocating in his embrace.
Something about the air was thick and sticky.
Like I was breathing cotton candy…
Like I was under a spell.
Jack even keeps asking in the “no” route if they can feel how much he cares about them, how good he can make them feel.
MC themselves admits earlier that they feel for Jack. He likely can sense that, which could be why he said they make him feel love.
There’s a strong emphasis here on consent and feelings, as well as pieces of both MC and Jack.
Also, before we move on, I want to quickly add that Jack might have the ability to manifest items as well. We know how confused MC was about blueberries appearing out of nowhere, but Jack could’ve snatched them from a grocery store or even snuck them into MC’s cart/basket when they weren’t paying attention so they eat healthier. However, what is harder to explain away is a full change in wardrobe that is distinctly themed around Sunny Day Jack and fits him perfectly. Somehow I don’t think MC bought that for him at the store.
As I’ve mentioned before in past theories when it comes to my own personal telling of the story, Sunshine in Hell, I think Jack has a piece of MC’s soul and MC has a piece of his soul in exchange. I think that whatever happened when MC watched the tape, it created a sort of contract between them and Jack, one that requires consent on both their parts. It requires that continual consent and for their bond to be strengthened in order to give Jack more strength.
It sounds almost like a ritual was performed, wasn’t it? Maybe Jack’s costume as a demonic incubus isn’t too far off the mark from what he is now.
Who knows... it might even be why MC is so tired lately.
(Though they could just be exhausted from being overworked by an uncaring boss.)
Which leads me back to the 84′ Incident. What if Jack didn’t simply randomly possess the recording of what happened because he couldn’t move on? What if his soul was trapped in that tape all this time? After all, he seemed so confused at the start of the game about what’s going on and what happened to him, which suggests he didn’t willingly go to, as he put it, hell.
The entertainment industry is a truly frightening place. Money, power, connections... they can bury so many secrets, even people and memories. There are rumors of unsavory things like crime rings and cults. The studio behind the SunnyTime Crew Show seems to have a dark side as well considering it buried the memory of the show and the murder of Jack under the threat of NDAs.
So now, let’s talk about LambsWork Productions. As I previously touched upon before when analyzing the teaser picture of an undead Jack looking in a mirror, the name of the studio is very interesting. A lamb’s “work” is to be sheered for its fleece, or butchered for its meat... sometimes both.
I think that LambsWork Productions was connected to a cult, maybe even built by a cult outright. I believe what happened to Jack to trap him in the tape may have been part of a ritual.
Jack was a teenage runaway who changed his name from Joseph, hiding his real identity. We don’t know how he was discovered by the studio, but he would be someone with no connections, and no family, maybe even no friends.
Who would look for him if he went missing?
This seems counter-intuitive doesn’t it? Jack was a famous actor with many eyes on him. So many people, kids and adults, loved him.
What the people loved was a character he played. Even when being interviewed, Jack had to stay in character. He couldn’t be “Mr. Haberdae” even when talking with a reporter who wanted to learn more about him.
The studio made a creation that was loved... and what if that was part of the ritual? What if Jack’s murder was planned all along? It would explain how they could so quickly and thoroughly bury all evidence that the show ever even happened if they were prepared to do it ahead of time.
Being loved and being willing plays a part in Jack’s powers. What if that ties into the murder? What if Jack, this fictional entity the studio made up, needed to have the love of countless people, and the distress and pain they felt from seeing him die, along with his death?
For what purpose? It’s hard to say, but Jack’s powers are nothing to sneeze at. For all we know, whatever MC underwent to be bonded to Jack by watching the video wasn’t actually meant for them... it was just the first time it actually worked.
After all... consent plays a part. If Jack didn’t consent to, say, his murderer getting a piece of his soul and control over him...?
Now we’re really going deep into headcanon territory here, and it ties into the tragedy of [Redacted] and the lover who used him. I will stress that my headcanons will likely change as more evidence comes out or as I work on it more before writing it into Sunshine in Hell, but I figure it might be entertaining to tell it anyway.
It goes like this: someone with a lot of pull and connection to LambsWork Productions, maybe even the owner in charge of it all, wanted supernatural powers. They were connected to the occult and learned of a ritual that would require the absolute obedience and enslavement of a soul, as well as love and innocence of children to create a servant that would do whatever they wanted.
What it required was a person who is utterly devoted and willing to submit to the caster. The easiest way to do that? Why, love and desperation of course. Find a person who has nothing and offer them a life they always dreamed of... they just need to be obedient, sacrifice more and more.
This person is pushed slowly to do more, give more of himself. He is pushed to act a certain way all the time, painted up as this new persona to further signify that he is no longer [Redacted] but the always helpful Jack. He needed to want to be this character they created... who they were going to make real with the ritual using his willing soul.
When the target is primed to be obedient and utterly addicted to needing the caster and everything they have to offer in every way imaginable, and is loved by many innocent children... that innocence is destroyed as part of the ritual by having them witness his death.
The ritual results in this creation that will do anything for their master... provided it is consenting on both ends. The victim doesn’t even need to know it was all a setup. In fact, it’s better he doesn’t know in order to ensure he’ll remain desperate in his new inhuman state.
The recording is the medium to create the connection to the new supernatural entity. There was just one teeny, tiny hiccup.
Consent.
The person who performed the ritual and wanted those powers wanted to make that connection, but Jack? Ho... they might have twisted [Redacted]’s heart to be desperate for their love and everything they provided, but Jack is far from stupid. Whether he started to suspect before his death and hid it, or he realized what was going on when murdered, who’s to say? Either way, he did not consent to his former lover taking a piece of his soul when the tape was played, and thus the ritual failed, no matter how many times they replayed his tragic death.
The tape was kept as a reminder, a snuff film for entertainment purposes until it gets lost or discarded in some other way. The culprit would have to figure out what went wrong, how to perform the ritual correctly next time... Or another member of the cult who learned of the ritual decides to try again, believing they know what went wrong.
Maybe the problem was relying on romantic love. What if the “lamb” to be sacrificed was someone who would have a stronger bond to the caster, maybe even more desperate for love and approval than a lover. Say, perhaps... a blood relative?
Actors sometimes join cults. If, say, Jean joined and found out about the ritual and wanted it to work out for himself, well... he does have a child from one of his sugar babies who wants to be an actor, doesn’t he?
What stronger love is there than a parent and child, especially a child who might have spent a lifetime wishing for his absent father’s love?
Well, Jack might argue his love for his sunshine is stronger. After all, unlike those monsters who damned him to the hell of the VHS tape for selfish purposes, they didn’t need him like Alice(/MC) does. They didn’t long for love as desperately as he did... and he was certainly so very desperate for even a speck of warmth after 40 long sleepless years trapped in a cold empty hell...
Soooooo... yeah. That’s the headcanon I currently have for what Jack is and why he was trapped in the tape. With how few clues there are, I’m not banking on this headcanon on being anywhere close to accurate to what’s going to happen in the game. Chances are very good that this headcanon will change and evolve as I get more ideas and more hints are dropped. Still, I find the idea to be fairly entertaining, and I hope you did too.
What does this mean for Jack, Alice, and their connection of souls via the ritual? I’m going to have to think about that a bit more, but whatever it was, it was something worth a hell of a lot of trouble for the studio to go through...
After all, Jack has a pretty impressive array of powers already, and they’re only going to get more powerful, maybe even manifest other unexpected ways we haven’t seen yet, as his love for Alice and hers for him grows ever stronger...
Of course, with an MC resistant to that love? Well... that might explain the glitches we see here.

How do you get all of this information for your updates? I read them, and find them the best source of information I can find, but how the hell do *you* put them together? There's always like a bajillion links, and it's information from places spread out over a pretty large area, and always cross-referenced. How do you do it?
It takes a LOT of time and I'm getting better at it as I go. And I freely admit I'm cribbing from other OSINT accounts all the time. For instance, I'll check the Finnish scribblemap, see where they are showing advances or whatever I never heard about, then go search for the name of that village or whatnot on Twitter and see what pops up. I was able to find the recent reports of damage in Makariv that way, for instance. (I've got the Finns in my OSINT bookmarks folder now but since I'm not on Twitter I can't actually ask them directly about their sources.) The other absolute fucking hero is an account of "10+ volunteers" who geolocate as much footage as possible and also repost other twitter users who geolocated stuff. I also always click through on various videos to see if someone in the comments has geolocated it. Geolocated video is of tremendous value because it confirms that an event actually happened where it's said to have happened. It also shows you exactly where it happened; many videos are just titled "Kharkiv oblast," which could mean near the city or anywhere in the entire fucking region. It doesn't just filter out mislabeled videos reposted by idiots (or info ops) it gives you a much finer-grained understanding of where things are happening.
The way I sort is to open my OSINT bookmarks folder (in incognito mode because Twitter is making itself more and more of a cunt about preventing non-account owners from viewing it) and scrolling through various feeds. As I see salient data I (on my second monitor) ctrl-T in a non-incognito window, ctrl-v to paste, then right-click to add the tab to a new group that I'll name "Odessa" or "kharkiv" or just "general" or w/e. I have to copy-paste to a normal window because Chrome loves to die on me cuz "muh RAM" and incognito mode doesn't save in history so you lose everything if it dies. Ha! Ha! THANKS TWITTER, FUCK YOU.
Then I read through all that shit, parse it, etc. Sometimes have to let it percolate a little to draw a bigger picture. Then I start pulling it all together.
I'm also reading the ISW daily reports, and reading the Ukrainian general staff bulletins directly as often as possible to ensure the ISW didn't leave out any tidbits that I find interesting, (there's been a few) and generally just, I'm going fucking insane! INSANE! INSANE!
And you all thought I was nuts when I was just pouring over Google Earth looking for DPRK TEL bunkers didn't you?
Oh, I keep Google Earth Pro open too (which isn't helping the RAM situation lmao Google) so I can quickly copypaste village names or decimal lat/long into the search and see where the hell these things are said or geolocated to be happening. This is confusing sometimes esp. with UMoD reports because some damn villages have the same name; you've got to be careful to sanity check the oblast/area of operations as well. Google Pro is free now btw and has been for a while, it's still a surprisingly powerful too.

Annon-Guy: Hopefully someone will get Tumblr on it. BTW, I know you wanted to wait until you got the video on your page, but what did you think of the Emil X Marta video I made?
Sorry, mate, I know I kept you waiting on this one. =w= I'll link the video at the end because if it had gone through normally it would have posted with the ask anyway. I do very much like the image selection, but I do think (and this is just my opinion and NOT common practice with fanvids so it's not something you missed or forgot!) that even the official art should be sourced because it's always painful when you see cute art of your faves and then you can't find it online, especially because, with DotNW being part of a multilingual fandom, some of the results won't show up in Google images if you don't know what you're searching for (a lot of art I have of Richter, for example, is stuff I only found on the JP side of Google or after meticulously searching with reverse image search and SauceNao [a godsend since it even shows results for art that is no longer being hosted. {RIP all the JP artists having to take their art down for insane copyright reasons sometimes.}]) Again, that's just something I'd like to see done more often and not something I really expected you to do, and definitely not something you did wrong because you sourced your songs and that's more than some people do, honestly. Sourcing the fanart was a great move though, and I definitely appreciate that! 0w0 Nappo deserves all the love. The music selection is also great! Again, Emil/Marta isn't really something I actively ship and I mostly just admire art of it at a distance, but the song "Hero" definitely suits their dynamic. Or at least the dynamic the game probably intended for them, even if that isn't what all the players interpret from their experience with the game. As for individual images, and this is more just about the images than your use of them: 1. A lot of the images are from the post-game credits scene/gallery in the PAL version (god I'm jealous of the PAL version, they got a gallery and costumes and USA got the game and NOTHING else until the chronicles edition where we got... a mediocre novella [I appreciate the novella of course, but either the translation sucked or was deliberately dumbed-down for kids playing because it is written very blandly. XD]) One of the images is the picture of Emil and Marta riding on a Simurgh.
Tumblr media
Do you think Emil is actually enjoying himself? Looks to me more like he's hanging on for dear life? I know the ending cards are supposed to be silly because there's also one with Emil getting chomped on by an Axe Beak and I think these are more to make the audience smile at the end of the game than actually be interpreted as canon but... if they are diegetic, do you think Emil actually chose to ride like this or did he just almost fall off and Marta hasn't noticed yet? 2. In the image with Emil, Marta and the Fenrir, do you think the Fenrir is accurate to scale or exaggerated? There is an implication that these are drawn by the characters rather than photographs, so if they are drawn, who do you think drew the Simurgh picture above? If they're meant to be stylized but not representative of drawings, do you think Fenrirs are that big because if so, Richter didn't stand a chance. Fighting with a wolf that big is unfair, Emil! XD
Tumblr media
3. In the following picture, Tenebrae is stealing food that it seems Emil was trying to offer to Marta. Tenebrae himself said that he absorbs mana naturally so that he doesn't have to eat and seems to consider that more sophisticated than how Emil chooses to get his mana (it's implied Emil could also survive without eating if he wanted to.) Why do you think Tenebrae is suddenly interested in eating? Do you think he's doing it to pass himself off as a weird dog at the festival or do you think he's doing it to bother Emil? Or something else entirely? He is called spiteful by Aqua a lot, so I think he might just be doing it to harass Emil. XD
Tumblr media
Anyway, I know that's a lot of questions for someone without an account here and a lot of them are more about the art than the actual video, but yeah! I'm just wondering if you have opinions on some of these! I think if you want to answer, the submit box would work better since I don't think it has a character limit and the ask box has a limit to how much you can type. If not, you can still answer and type it up in sections of asks and I can slap them all together in response. Other than that, I think it's a cute fan video. My only real critique is that the images from the JP novels look a little out of place since they're black and white, but I know you can't really help that because that's how they were printed and that's how they're shown wherever you can get them online, and if a color-version exists, it's probably in an unreleased master file for the novel production. Still, it's a very nice selection of art! Better than a lot of the unsourced fanart piles I've seen in fanvids/VGMVs.

Proof that Sonic Mania is a direct prequel to Sonic Forces (+additional info)
I think it should be obvious by now, but just for the record, I want to put all the points together.
HEAVY spoilers for Sonic Mania under the cut!
1) Marketing strategies
Right out the bat with the boring stuff!
Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania release in the same year, only 5 months apart. This has happened before (Sonic Rivals released only 5 days after Sonic ‘06), but never for two games on the same console. Mania and Forces are both Switch-games, though they also release on PS4, XBOX and PC. Economy-wise, releasing two seperate, really big games so close to eachother isn’t a good idea, as you’ll flood the market and make less sales.
Unless... those two games are connected!
2) Musical nods
youtube
The OST for Sonic Mania’s true final boss.
youtube
“Fist Bump”, the theme for Sonic Forces.
This one should speak for itself.
Now for the good shit!
3) The Phantom Ruby
This
Tumblr media
is the Phantom Ruby. It’s an insanely powerful object. So powerful, in fact, that it literally warps reality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s hard to take screencaps of that, but during the final boss, the timer goes bananas and starts to display random numbers.
Getting the Phantom Ruby before Eggman or the Hard-Boiled Heavies do is your main objective in Sonic Mania. This ultimately fails wether you have the Chaos Emeralds or not.
In the Bad Ending, Little Planet is still stuck, and the Phantom Ruby disappears.
However, in the Good/True Ending, the Phantom Ruby seems to gain a mind of its own. It knocks Sonic out of Super-mode, takes the Chaos Emeralds and opens a portal that sucks both Sonic and the Ruby in. Little Planet is freed, and Sonic is warped to an unknown place.
Credits roll, that’s the end of the game.
But hey, that Phantom Ruby looks a bit familiar, doesn’t it?
Tumblr media
hmm
Tumblr media
HMM
Tumblr media
HMMM
youtube
HMMMMMMM
(not my video btw, i had to reupload it because Tumblr doesn’t like the site it was originally uploaded on)
Now I’ve theorized on Infinite being a reality-warper before (confirmed yay), so I won’t go too in-depth on that here. But this does confirm a few things people have been wondering about.
Mania takes place in a seperate continuity from Forces, presumably replacing Sonic CD in the canon lineup (what with the presence of Little Planet and all).
Classic Sonic in Forces and Sonic in Mania are the exact same guy.
Infinite (or at least the source of his powers) is from the Mania-dimension.
Infinite has the same powers as the Phantom Ruby (teleportation, dimension-hopping, screwing with the flow of time, knocking Sonic out of super form, oh fuck).
If you need more proof for this theory, this post covers a lot of the stuff we knew before Mania’s release.
So that’s it then. Forces and Mania are directly linked. Now, everyone has said it before, but I am going to say it again for good measure.
Sonic Forces is going to be fucking LIT, my friends!

The Art Behind Manipulating & Guarding a Fandom (p. I)
NOTES:
*I’ll be quoting a lot, esp the parts I consider more relevant, however if you want to study the whole thing [which I HIGHLY recommend] I’ll attached the link to each of the sources. It might seem like a lot of info but PLEASE do yourself a favour & check it ALL out.*
*I’ve divided the subject in FOUR PARTS bc since I need your total attention & I don’t want you to start sleeping halfway, I’ll be posting periodically, at least till you end processing the prior post*
*Most of the posts I direct you to, are SHORT & in my opinion not too dense to read. In fact, the great majority are Q&As. I'll identified every post with a letter, it means that throughout the various posts you’ll see them repeated, so no need to read one twice*
*If you’re starting to get tired or feeling swamped with the amount of info. Take a break, process it, go eat something & free your mind then come back. It’s highly relevant to read the whole & if you think it helps you to rest for a moment, I encourage you to do it*
*Everyone who has a 5H blog or related, READ & SPREAD THIS. At the end of the day we’re equal victims of this happening*
- decoding1432.
Ever felt like you get fishy anons? Ever questioned whether if your blog or Twitter acc is monitored? Ever doubt those “exposing accounts” claiming to be insiders? Ever mistrust a mutual or similar? Yeah, well all that encircles a phenomenon better known as:
Astroturfing
Before we jumped into the meaning & detailed explanation of it, allow me to tell you the story of how I found out this fascinating concept. I’ve been wanting to do a post about “bot accounts” & “fanbase manipulation” since I read this post about the way Sony deals with fandoms. If there’s someone out there who knows about this better than anyone else, is the directioners. I swear the amount of data they own regarding the industry is enough to fill 10 libraries (I went through hell to find everything lol)
I must say in advance that most of the information obtained in my research are posts from theirs– all credit to them for their masterposts– so I apologise if you get too tired of reading “Harry, Louis, Ziam, Modest & bla, bla, bla” but it is ultimately very worthy stuff & let’s not forget that band came out from the same womb (great thing fans over there are too woke & we can grab a lot from their knowledge, seriously I have insane respect for that fanbase). Anyway, like I was telling, I first heard the word “astroturfing” when I was talking to lawyerlarry:
Tumblr media
I asked her with the purpose of being linked to a post relating “bot accounts” or alike but to my surprise I was lead to a much more complex principle. At first, I deadass thought my lack of vocabulary in English was the cause I hadn’t understood what lawyerlarry was trying to tell me. When you look it in the dictionary, you’ll probably get something like this:
Tumblr media
Now, what does it really mean in the SM context?
(NOTE: I’ll leave several definitions so that you can get a clearer idea).
No.1 *link A*
Tumblr media
“This sounds very much like, trolling, you say. It does, but whereas trolling is done by one or several individuals for mischief, astroturfing is an organised, professional form of trolling with an agenda, an objective, a set mode of operation and an end-goal. Think trolling on steroids.
It sounds very far-fetched and very conspiracy theory-ish, but it’s been used in a lot of forms, from maligning celebrities and high-profile people to companies using astroturfers to provide fake consumer reviews, boost their credibility (thank you for reblogging that article mirandaskye, btw!), or discredit their competition. Some even go on a nationalistic scale of seeding political dissent among political parties. Because of the anonymity that the internet can provide, astroturfing is mostly common online.
Astroturfers can take several forms:
Posts, comments, etc from fake social media identities
Fake consumer reviews or brand/product testimonials
Fake online organisations/watchdog communities”
No. 2 (summarised) *link B*
Tumblr media
Means pretending to be a fan, when in reality the agenda and strategy are controlled by a non-fan or “tptb” organisation. (‘tptb= the powers that be’ for the 1D fam is what we refer here to men in suits).
“Astroturfing takes place all the time it happens all across the internet everyday. There are varying degrees in which it happens. There are corporate bought twitter followers (x) and paid for positive and negative yelp reviews (x). It goes on and on. It is just part of business. Unethical? Misleading? Yeah but they’ve been doing it since forever. Big multibillion dollars have been fined for engaging in astroturfing (x) yet they still engage in it. The financial benefits must outweigh the risk.”
No. 3 *link C* (more summarised)
Tumblr media
No. 4 *link D* (even more summarised)
Tumblr media
If you ask me, I would personally keep the first definition because certainly astroturfing encompasses more than just Tumblr. It extends to Twitter up to the political world. If you’ve gotten to this point thinking it’s a conspirative aspect, watch the following video, IT’S A MUST:
youtube
Since I’m such a nerd for TED Talks I enjoyed it besides  I’m so fascinated by this concept. But in all honesty, ten minutes of your life that won’t go to waste.. However if you decide to keep scrolling down at least I suggest you skip to minute 2:08- 2:48 & 8:56- till the end. For anyone who can’t play the video, I’ll remark the points:
Min 2:08- 2:48
“What is Astroturf? It’s a perversion of grassroots, as in fake grassroots. Astroturf is when political, corporate, or other special interest disguise themselves & publish blogs, start Facebook & Twitter accounts, publish ads, letter to the editor, or simply posts comments online to try to fool you into thinking an independent or grassroots movement (in our case fans) is speaking. The whole point of Astroturf is to try to get the impression there’s widespread support for or against an agenda when there’s not. Astroturf seeks to manipulate you into changing your opinion by making you feel as if you’re an outlier when you’re not.”
Min 8:56- till the end
“I have a few strategies that I can tell you about, to help you recognise signs of propaganda and astroturf. Once you start to know what to look for you’ll begin to recognise it everywhere.
First, hallmarks of astroturfing include use of inflammatory language such as crack, nutty, lies, paranoid, and conspiracy. Astroturfers often claim to debunk myths that aren’t myths at all. Use of the charged language tests well, people hear something’s a myth, maybe they find it on snopes, and they instantly declare themselves too smart to fall for it. But what if the whole notion of the myth is itself a myth and you and snopes fell for that?
Beware when interests attack an issue by controversialising or attacking the people, personalities, and organizations surrounding it rather than addressing the facts, that could be astroturf.
And most of all, astroturfers tend to reserve all of their public skepticism for those exposing wrongdoing rather than the wrongdoers. In other words instead of questioning authority, they question those who question authority.”
Tumblr media
Why is this so incredibly familiar…?

Blank Space- The bearding analysis
youtube
*This is only my interpretation and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I originally started to write this to celebrate ‘Blank Space’ was about to reach two billion views on VEVO. The milestone has come and gone and it stayed put in my drafts until the recent interest in the meaning behind the lyrics.
This song is one of my all-time favorite pieces of music not only because it’s a pop masterpiece, but because Taylor oh so cleverly used it to expose her PR ‘love life’ strategy through a disguised satire.
Also take note that by now we immediately associate the music video imagery to the song (Call it a ‘Michael Jackson Thriller’ effect), so the message she sent through interviews about what the song was supposedly about got delivered with such a powerful force that people didn’t question it.
In reality ‘Blank Space’ was never just a song. It is a masterfully crafted production (it even included an app for God’s sake) designed as a vehicle for Taylor to say ‘fuck off’ to the false image created around her.
But that’s not all. What makes this production even more clever and mind-blowing is the deeper message that lies hidden just under the surface of the general public’s perception.
Let’s start first with what is common knowledge.
General public’s perception based on Taylor’s interviews:
- She’s making a parody of what people say/believe about her
- She’s cleverly profiting from that ‘false’ made up image
- She’s mocking the press’ obsession on her ‘love life’
- She’s punching back against those who think she only dates men to write successful ‘break-up’ songs
Quote from Taylor: “Essentially, it is a song I wrote about basically the fact that the media has kind of portrayed me to be this desperate crazy serial dater and so I decided I was just going to kind of continue the joke and take back the narrative.”
Interviews talking about the song: Link 1, Link 2
Grammy Museum acoustic performance and intro: Link
1989 Album secret message:
“There once was a girl known by everyone and no one."
Lyric analysis:
Nice to meet you, where you been?
I could show you incredible things
Magic, madness, heaven, sin
Saw you there and I thought
Oh my God, look at that face
You look like my next mistake
Love’s a game, want to play?
‘Blank Space’ is like a bearding manual and it perfectly starts with an introduction scenario where she first meets a guy and immediately type-casts him as her next mistake because she knows the relationship will have an expiration date. She sells the contract’s advantages and describes to her potential ‘love interest’ the relationship scenarios that will have to occur in the public eye. Taylor then confesses she has been playing the fake relationship game and makes a final offer at the end of the first verse: Are you in or are you out?
“I could show you incredible things” is the first clue that suggests this is not only a satire song about her being ‘boy crazy’. To me, the fact that she says it right after the introduction means selling the benefits of dating her is the first order of business. Not a romantic involvement. It also has nothing to do with sexual attraction. It’s what she can offer to entice the beard.
New money, suit and tie
I can read you like a magazine
Ain’t it funny, rumors fly
And I know you heard about me
So hey, let’s be friends
I’m dying to see how this one ends
Grab your passport and my hand
I can make the bad guys good for a weekend
In the second verse Taylor confesses she knows all about the type of man her ‘new boyfriend’ is. The fact she mentions “I can read you like a magazine” suggests she has sin him in publications and understands his ambitions.
“Ain’t it funny, rumors fly” is a very clever line that hints at amusement when the media get the first first leaks of info on the new couple.
“So hey, let’s be friends” is a key suggestion that she is not talking about a romantic interest. She is merely offering a partnership to her beard, a mutual-beneficial arrangement that won’t lead to heartbreak.
The last part of the verse is a reminder that Taylor is first and foremost a story-teller  and writer. Here she is already figuring out how the ‘relationship’ will play out, imagining all the places she can take it to, and even going as far as dreaming the breakup scenario before it begins.
So it’s gonna be forever
Or it’s gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it’s over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They’ll tell you I’m insane
‘Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game
In “You can tell me when it’s over if the high was worth the pain” we can read ‘high’ as career benefits for the beard, and ‘pain’ as the months of media/public scrutiny and a hectic schedule of ‘public appearances’.
“They’ll tell you I’m insane” I think is referring to her ‘need-to-control-every-tiny-detail’ and anxiety issues Taylor has confessed to in past interviews.
“You love the game” hints her ‘boyfriend’ is thirsty for fame and is willing to play the ‘celebrity love game’.
'Cause we’re young and we’re reckless
We’ll take this way too far
It’ll leave you breathless
Or with a nasty scar
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They’ll tell you I’m insane
But I’ve got a blank space, baby
And I’ll write your name
Taylor continues to describe the ups and downs of the whirlwind ‘relationship’ her and her beard will play in front of the public eye.
“We’ll take this way to far” suggest the feeding of rumors through ‘sources’ or not ‘taking care’ to deny false information in order to let the stunt grow bigger.
At the end she finally reveals the song’s title meaning: she has everything set up and ready for the bearding phase to begin. Contracts literally have blank spaces to insert names and initials. Enough said.
Oh, and btw, I don’t buy into the ‘pen click’ sound before “And I’ll write your name”. In her voice memos she does the sound with her mouth and I think it’s just the sound some people make when they wink and are trying to be saucy.
Cherry lips, crystal skies
I could show you incredible things
Stolen kisses, pretty lies
You’re the King, baby, I’m your Queen
Find out what you want
Be that girl for a month
Wait, the worst is yet to come, oh no
In this part of the song Taylor goes on to describe the public image of the relationship: set up pictures of perfect settings, papped pics of a kiss that was ‘private’, ‘perfect couple’ hints. She was basically foreshadowing scenes of her two subsequent beards.
“Find out what you want, be that girl for a month” This is Taylor offering her image and power to the needs of the beard according to what was agreed at the beginning of the ‘relationship’.
“Wait, the worst is yet to come,oh no” suggest a warning to the beard of the media whirlwind to come when the ‘relationship’ runs its course.
Screaming, crying, perfect storms
I can make all the tables turn
Rose garden filled with thorns
Keep you second guessing like
"Oh my God, who is she?”
I get drunk on jealousy
But you’ll come back each time you leave
'Cause, darling, I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream
This last set of lyrics basically depicts an ‘insiders view’ on the bearding relationship where everything from the outside looks perfect, but inside of it is a mess and she confesses she’s the one in charge and can stir anything to benefit her interests.
The last two lines are amazing and probably the one that sticks out the most of the whole song. To me they mean that even though it is exhausting and frustrating to be under her control, the beard doesn’t have a choice but to do what he is told because the ‘nightmare’ is worth the success ‘daydream’.
That’s it. The rest is a repeat of the same lyrics.
What do you think the song’s about? It’s kind of scary how after this was released her biggest PR stunts happened and basically followed the song to the ‘tea’ (pun intended). Maybe she was trying to warn us?
If you want even more analysis on the genius of ‘Blank Space’ I’ve added a couple of links below that I’ve found greatly interesting.
