Weapon: Destiny’s Creator a bow that Asmund Lauck placed an enchantment on that allows Victoria to use up some of her magical energy to duplicate the arrow she fires into as many as she wishes and control them to hit their target as long as her magical energy can hold up.

October 12th: Sword

Asmund watched as his father spun a sword in his hand slashing through moving mannequins with a slash through the air to his father it seemed like time froze but to Asmund a nanosecond later three mannequins were frozen and two were slashed in half. 

“Ya know Asmund. One day Hailstorm will be yours.” Fulke used to tell him.

Now Asmund was 40 and spiraling through a wave of murkfoots. Freezing them as they went. He set the simulator to 100 monsters and had 20 down. Flashing his blade time slowed slightly and he sent plants unfurling across the area taking out another 20. Suddenly he went to stab one but caught hooked on the side by both of a murkfoots right arms and launched into the air. 

He watched as a spear landed below him and more vines shot out across the field swirling around 15 more murkfoots before exploding killing them quickly. “Forty-five more hun!” Scarlett shouted as she skidded across the floor unhooking Valkyrie from the floor. 

“Twenty-five!” Victoria’s voice rang out as arrows hailed from above launching through 20 murkfoots. 

“Five more down!” Benjamin’s voice rang out as the four warriors stood back to back, Ben taking out five murkfoots to get to the rest of the gang. 

“Let’s finish this.” Asmund offered and they all linked hands sharing their magical energy. 

Asmund’s plant magic, Scarlett’s lightning magic, Victoria’s light magic, and Ben’s earth magic. The field began jutting upwards sending the remaining monsters into the air before gripping them with vines and ripping them to the ground before lightning flew from the sky bolting into them and arrows of light piercing through them before the simulator came to a close leaving the mages to let out their collective held breath from combining their magical energy.

Asmund’s father might be gone but he still has his father’s sword and the people closest to family to him.

October 5th: Behold

A sparkle of dots shone in the sky upon a balcony connected to a castle overlooking a large village. A crowd had been summoned below. 

"Ladies and gentlemen behold! The new royal heir of Castle Elkmire!" The queen spoke out as the sparkle of dots had formed the constellation of Ara the altar upon her dress. The king carrying out a newborn swaddled in his arms. 

"Victoria Tamboli princess and heir to the Elkmire throne. Everyone give her a warm welcome to Primwall." The king spoke as a portal was summoned before him and two larger ones appeared in the sky depicting Victoria swaddled to the city below them.

Little did they know she would become queen of Elkmire just not the way they thought.

Nanowrimo 2020

“Show your might and maybe we’ll humor your offer. Which of you is stronger? Wielder of Valkyrie?” The one girl of the group questioned and took a step forwards drawing to sicles made of ice while Scarlett let Valkyrie free from its capsule into its glaive form. 

As Arcus and Asmund backed off so did the two males alongside the girl. 

“So are you supposed to be heir to the Elkmire throne?” The girl questioned. 

“Not quite. You’re thinking of our friend Victoria. Although we’re hoping to dismantle the monarchy of Elkmire anyways to where there won’t be any heirs to the Elkmire throne.” Scarlett informed. 

“Well, I’m Ulva princess of the ice crystal palace and heir to the throne. But since you aren’t the princess I won’t feel too bad about defeating you.” Ulva informed and the two clashed the blade of Valkyrie shattering one of Ulva’s ice sicles but the other one catching on the rod. Lightning went sparking through the glaive making Ulva back off and the blizzard from before began to close in. 

As Scarlett began to become blinded by the snow Ulva launched up in front of her and went to slash downwards but Valkyrie dug into the earth below launching vines up catching Ulva’s wrists and yanking her to the ground before lighting on fire but the vines were frozen quickly and Ulva slashed towards Scarlett slashing the front of her coat. Scarlett tossed Valkyrie into the air and shrugged off her coat as the glaive turned into its whip form and as she slashed out with it the whip lit on fire slicing straight through Ulva’s ice blades but she quickly created another set and whirled towards Scarlett and threw one of her blades at Scarlett. There was a flash followed quickly by a boom and at Ulva’s feet the ground was torched as Scarlett’s right arm oozed warm blood down it. Ulva allowed the blizzard to clear. 

“This match is a draw. I got to see most of your power although there is definitely more than meets the eye. Welcome in heroes!” Ulva stated and waved her arm opening up the ice barrier and as wall after wall opened Asmund understood why no one had busted through the barrier before especially with all the enchantments he could see tracing the outsides with the blizzard gone. 

“The dragon must remain outside.” One of the guards stated as the crew began walking through the barrier making Asmund and Scarlett stop abruptly. 

“He’s part of our team. We’re not doing this without him.” Asmund growled out. 

“Asmund calm down. I’ll fly around and get an aerial view of the surrounding area while you’re in there.” Arcus spoke and unfurled his wings and took off into the sky while Scarlett and Asmund continued in through the barrier as it closed behind them wall after wall. 

Scarlett looked around in awe as she saw arctic wolves running around leaving snowy pawprints on the concrete as they ran but Asmund looked in confusion as he felt a weird energy from a few of the wolves but ignored it as they were greeted by a man in white fur that seemed to turn into a rainbow as light bounced off it. 

“Welcome Scarlett Nagwei and Asmund Lauck. I am king Sinaaq of ice crystal castle and it is a pleasure to meet you. My apologies for Ulva challenging you, we just had to make sure you’re the real thing. Being masters of ice magic means we know that you can easily create images out of light through different objects.” Sinaaq chuckled and he slammed his staff into the ground opening the doors to a small castle. “Follow me there is something important to show you. Depending on your reaction we’ll decide on whether or not to join you.” Sinaaq added. 

“Wait, we haven’t told you our plan?” Asmund questioned. 

“We’ll get to that but we have something more important than your plan first hero.” Ulva stated following her father and Asmund and Scarlett shared a look as Scarlett shifted Valkyrie back into its capsule form and stowed it away in her jeans pockets. 

The group walked into a room that seemed to have two whirlpools meeting tips in the middle of the room and swirling in opposite directions. 

“We keep this whirlpool to show when the king and queen use their void and time magic together because I’m sure as you know the queen's time magic isn’t really time magic it’s just an enchantment. But together with the void magic it is quite powerful.” Sinaaq began but Ulva cut him off. 

“A few days ago it seemed like a rift appeared from a different point in time opened up and this second whirlpool appeared. It seems as though the king and queen are using their combination magic to keep the rift from merging with us though.” Ulva finished and received a glare from his daughter. 

“Along with what Ulva stated you should know that when time is going normal the whirlpools are just static waves of water floating in the room. They turn into whirlpools when time is being manipulated. Of course the one is linked to the Tambolis though so no one else’s time magic interferes like your friend Hara and his time blade. But with that we’re figuring this second whirlpool is linked to a certain person not multiple someones or somethings.” Sinaaq said. 

“So how can we be sure these whirlpools aren’t manipulated by time? If it’s on the plane of something from another timeline it has to be strong enough to affect us to where we wouldn’t realize let alone be able to see it in action.” Asmund stated more than questioned. 

“Asmund’s right we’ve seen Hara’s time blade in action and it freezes everything for those twelve or less seconds.” Scarlett added. 

“Correct except within here. Our scholars have cast layers and layers of enchantments on each layer of our ice barrier making it to where time can only move normally here even if the rest of the world freezes time would still remain the same within here.” Sinaaq replied. 

“Pardon my rudeness because I’d love to believe this and believe that we had a chance currently with the king and queen being weakened from defending against this other time creature. But I’ve also studied enchantments my whole life and have never been able to find or create one to block time magic.” Asmund stated and Sinaaq got a glint in his eye. 

“Ulva show Scarlett around I’m going to take Asmund to meet the scholars that put together the enchantments.” Sinaaq offered but Scarlett quickly shut that down. 

“Absolutely not. You didn’t allow Arcus in through the barrier and without agreeing on at the very least peace between us I will not allow us to be separated.” Scarlett growled out making Sinaaq frown. 

“Fine then let us make a binding contract. For the time you are split apart if Asmund Lauck or Scarlett Nagwei get harmed in any way allow my city to crumble.” Sinaaq stated and put his hand out with it glowing a multitude of colors and letters from different languages piecing together to create what she guessed was the agreement passing over his palm. 

As Scarlett reached her hand out she felt something pierce her brain followed by something piercing her ears. “Scarlett you can’t shake his hand. What he said isn’t what he’s agreeing to. He’s the only real person here the rest of them are tricks of the light and the agreement on his palm is unbreakable and it’s so if either of you get a scratch on you Emera collapses.” Arcus’ voice rang loudly from Ulva’s mouth and echoed across the room. 

“ventum inspiratione! glaciem desolati!” Asmund shouted and Sinaaq was sent flying across the room and all of the ice around them melted into water and then disappeared into nothing leaving a large void around them. The only things remaining of the ice castle were Sinaaq and the two whirlpools. 

“So everything you said was a lie? We wasted our time coming out here.” Scarlett hissed out. 

“No! No you didn’t! Yes almost everything was fake but Ulva was my real daughter and there really used to be an ice castle out here that I ruled from and those this void does keep out time magic and those whirlpools are really levels of the king and queens magic and the mystery creatures magic!” Sinaaq shouted out quickly as Asmund drew Hailstorm and Scarlett let loose Valkyrie. 

“quad reprehendo inpulsa. Now say that again.” Asmund ordered and when Sinaaq finished Asmund lowered his weapon slightly. 

“What kind of enchantment did you put on him?” Scarlett asked with a quirked eyebrow. 

“A fact checking one. If he had told a lie it would’ve shocked him until he died. Now then I’m assuming you didn’t make this void?” Asmund offered and when Sinaaq let out a quiet no the void around them disappeared leaving them on an area of grass where it had just begun to snow. 

“We won’t be accepting you as an ally but go and live the rest of your life. If you ever go against us though just remember what it felt like to be imprisoned in that void for however many years and quadruple that. Goodbye Sinaaq.” Asmund stated and Scarlett cast the man a soft glare as Arcus landed next to them and they began walking the short distance out of the forest.
