I would give away my life saving for an nfl sports anime. To continue with the quarterback theme, Joe Burrow himself had to be next. Such a brooding demeanor, he was built to be in an anime. Jojo gives me the vibe of being the dedicated yet cold hearted competitor. A character who takes losing to heart and takes that feeling with him into every game. He reminds me of Aoimine and Aone.

NFL WEEK 1 THOUGHTS
Man what the FUCK i'll be doing these now, I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!!!!
Fun fact, this is my first time watching football in action! I've only really tangentially followed everything via Reddit threads and twitter stuff. It was a treat and I loved every game I watched.
MY VIKINGS THRASHED THE GIANTS, I LOVE FOOTBALL. WE'RE SO BACK. WE'RE GOING TO TO SUPER BOWL WITH SAM DARNOLD AS OUR QB, AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER ABOUT IT. I LOVE ANDREW VAN GINKEL. I am very hopeful about the Vikings future, we got a lot of cap space, good defense (though I don't know if it's because we have a good defense or because Daniel Jones sucks) and overall, the vibes are good.
Speaking of, my god, Daniel Jones. They are paying this man a four year 160 million contract and he has thrown more touchdown passes FOR THE OPPOSING TEAM RATHER THAN HIS OWN. I feel bad for the Giants considering that they lost Saquon, their offense ALL sucks, I do not know what Daboll is thinking with all of these plays considering that this is DANIEL FUCKING JONES.
The Chiefs squeak by with a scripted win. Sad for the Ravens but they're definitely going to be good this year, this is no reason for any fan to be panicking. But also, what the FUCK were the bills thinking giving XAVIER WORTHY TO THE CHIEFS??? Genuinely impressive stuff from him in this game, speedy fuck and I'm going to die because the Chief's dynasty is going to go on further than the fucking Patriots one.
Thank you Will Levis for providing potentially the funniest NFL pic of all time.
6. Also, genuinely hilarious win by the Bears who had: 0 Passing touchdowns. 0 Rushing touchdowns. Winning 24-17 via 3 Field Goals, a Pick-6 and a blocked kick TD. Caleb Williams only passed 96 yards. This might be one of those Bears seasons where the Bears have a godlike defense and a bad offense.
7. As per usual, the Falcons are stuck in a Hell of their own creation. This is incredibly hilarious for me and I will continue to smoke on that Atlanta pack. The entire NFC South can go to hell far as I'm concerned, I hate ALL OF THOSE TEAMS!!!
8. I'm sorry for my recently followed Bengals fan but I AIN'T LIE. THE STEELERS COOKED. They might have a good season (they always have a good season I have no idea how they do this.)
9. The Raiders punted on 4th and 1, with 7:15 remaining WHILE LOSING. I think they deserve that loss.
10. I love the Texans and I love CJ Stroud (<- Is only a Texan's fan because I gotta have a team to root for in the AFC) I'LL BE TRYING TO DO THESE EVERY WEEK CUZ I LOVE FOOTBALL. PLEASE TALK TO ME ABOUT FOOTBALL. PLEASE.

Aaron Donald leaves a legacy of greatness
What can you say that hasn’t already been said about Aaron Donald? Defensive Rookie of the Year. Pro Bowler. All-Pro. Team leader. Super Bowl champion. With Donald, one superlative triumphs another. That’s how great he was as a player in the National Football League (NFL). With his announcement that came via the social media platform “X” (formerly known as Twitter), that he has decided to hang up his cleats for good, Donald leaves behind some big shoes for the Los Angeles Rams to fill.
Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald (99) chased down Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore (4) during an NFL game played at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 15, 2023. Photo credit: Sammy Saludo/News4usonline Rams head coach Sean McVay will no doubt miss Donald’s presence. “The great players in our league elevate the people around them and Aaron has modeled the way for our team as long as I’ve been with the Rams,” McVay said in a statement. “He’s an elite competitor, someone who leads by example in a way that’s authentic to him, and an exceptional teammate who inspires everyone around him to be the best version of themselves. “As great of a player he is, he’s an even better person. He is truly one of one and epitomizes everything that’s right about sports. I will forever cherish the memories we’ve made and will always be grateful for how he poured everything into this game and into our team. He’s meant a lot to me personally and to my family,” McVay added. Donald started his career with the Rams when the team was known as the St. Louis Rams. That lasted two years before the former Orange County-based franchise relocated to Southern California and became the Los Angeles Rams. It didn’t matter where the Rams played, No. 99 was always going to be present, always going to be the dominant force that has made him a future Hall of Famer. When Donald played, you knew that he was giving every ounce of dripping sweat to try to win a football game.
Family time. Aaron Donald with his family. File Photo/Mark Hammond/News4usonline In his case, the best way Donald could do that was to sew a lot of chaos in the opposing team’s offensive backfield and track down the quarterback. Donald did much of that during his amazing 10-year career in the NFL. During a decade-long career of playing grit and grind football, Donald became enemy No. 1 for opposing quarterbacks. At the time he announced his retirement, Donald wrapped up his career with 111 sacks. Considering the number of times that he was often doubled-teamed and triple-teamed throughout his career, Donald became football’s version of “The Equalizer.” Whenever the Rams' defense encountered some difficulty, Donald was always the solution. Just ask Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. It was Donald who sealed the deal for the Rams to win Super Bowl LVI when he brought the heat to Burrow and forced the Cincinnati quarterback into a harmless incomplete throw on 4th-and-1 with seconds remaining in the game. “We are so grateful for Aaron’s dedication to greatness and for leading our franchise on and off the field for the past decade,” said Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke. “He has left his mark on generations of football fans and his accomplishments, coupled with his work ethic and passion, continue to inspire his teammates, coaches and athletes across the globe. It is a privilege to have witnessed one of the greatest players of all time and we are proud that Aaron Donald will forever be part of NFL history as a member of the Rams,” Kroenke added. The moment was never too big for Donald. Perhaps more impressive than Donald’s ferocity in which he played is the fact he was there. Despite the relentless physical punishment he absorbed over the years by just being in the trenches, Donald was almost always present and ready to go on game day.
Aaron Donald (99) played his entire career with the Rams organization. A three-time Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, Donald retired from the NFL with 111 quarterback sacks. Photo credit: Mark Hammond/News4usonline In that regard, Donald proved to be a true Ironman. He played in 16 regular season games in eight of the 10 years he played in the NFL. During that period, Donald became the chief disruptor, claiming double-digits in sacks in six seasons, including registering 20.5 quarterback takedowns in 2018. Hyperbole and numbers don’t fully tell the impact of Donald in the middle of the Rams defensive front over the years. He was voted All-Pro eight times. He was named to the Pro Bowl 10 times. And there is the matter of Donald being tapped to win the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year award three times (2017, 2018, 2020). You just don’t replace Aaron Donald. But the Rams are now tasked to do just that as the team prepares for the 2024 NFL season. That’s one gaping hole to fill. At 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds, Donald was the embodiment of a physical warrior. And if this is possible, Donald’s relentless motor came with a desire to be the best at what he does. “There will never be another Aaron Donald,” said Rams general manager Les Snead. [ad_1] Alaina Getzenberg, ESPNNov 8, 2023, 06:00 AM ETCloseAlaina Getzenberg is a staff writer who covers the Buffalo Bills and the NFL. She joined ESPN in 2021. Alaina was previously a beat reporter for the Charlotte Observer and has also worked for CBS Sports and the Dallas Morning News. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. You can follow her via Twitter @agetzenberg.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Answers on offense are in short supply for the Buffalo Bills, who scored 18 points in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night. After a loss to the New England Patriots in Week 7, coach Sean McDermott was asked why the team was having trouble scoring early in games."I wish I could tell you," McDermott said. "... We talk about being more detailed, getting into a rhythm early, playing complementary football, and all three phases working together. ... So just overall, got to find the answers to that."Fast-forward to Week 9 against the Bengals, the Bills offense came out with a statement touchdown drive, averaging 12.1 yards per play while playing up-tempo. But then Buffalo gained a total of 37 yards on the next four drives and took a 14-point deficit into halftime that proved insurmountable in the 24-18 loss. The theme of the Bills offense has become too little, too late: They've averaged 6.8 points per game in the first half since Week 5 (ranked 28th) versus 13.4 ppg (third) in the second half during that stretch.Questions on whether McDermott was considering making changes to offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey's duties were met with a firm "no."The Bills' chances of making the playoffs fell to 57.6% after the latest loss, according to ESPN Analytics. With eight games to go and facing the second-toughest remaining schedule, the Bills must find answers to problems they've been grappling with since the offseason: How to improve the running game, boost yards after the catch and limit mistakes like turnovers."The big thing for us is not becoming one-dimensional and predictable," Dorsey said.Statistically, the Bills offense behind quarterback Josh Allen looks good, ranked second in offensive EPA (65.12) and in the top five in a variety of categories, including yards per play and completion percentage.Bills quarterback Josh Allen has struggled with interceptions, sharing the league lead with nine. Ian Johnson/Icon SportswireBut those numbers haven't led to good performances regularly, especially early. The running game has been part of the issue. The Bills rank 26th in designed rush percentage (34.4%), and they haven't consistently integrated second-year back James Cook into the offense. Cook had six carries for 20 yards against the Bengals and did not play a snap in the fourth quarter. With 44 yards, Allen finished the game as the team's leading rusher. This offense doesn't need a dominant running game as long as Allen is putting up gaudy passing numbers. But they do need defenses to respect their running backs."I think that's all part of being a good offense is being two-dimensional -- not that you're gonna be 50-50 totally balanced, but the threat of being two dimensional," McDermott said after the game.Integrating a running back who was also a threat as a receiver was part of the goal this offseason, in part because the Bills wanted to increase YAC. But the Bills currently rank 25th in YAC per reception (4.68).Editor's Picks1 RelatedAllen too often tries to make the big play downfield instead of taking the smaller gain. That was something he wanted to improve this year. He was more effective when he has less time to throw against the Bengals; he completed 81% of passes when he had less than 2.5 seconds to throw against the Bengals but completed 52.9% with 2.51 seconds or more to throw, per NFL Next Gen Stats.Allen has seven touchdown on passes of 15 yards or more downfield, tied for third-most. But he has eight interceptions on passes if 15 yards or more downfield this season (the most in the NFL).Since injuring his right shoulder against the New York Giants in Week 6, Allen has completed 3 of 15 passes with 20 or more air yards, including one interception."To be perfectly honest with you we felt pretty good about where his shoulder was going into [the Bengals] game," Dorsey said.Allen is tied for the league lead with nine interceptions and has the most interceptions in the league since he was drafted in 2018 (69). For its part, the offensive line is pass protecting well. Allen's sack percentage is tied for the lowest of his career (3.9%) and the line's pass block win rate is 64.2% (fifth-best).One game and one adjustment won't fix the Bills offense. Luckily for Buffalo, the next game is at home against the Denver Broncos on "Monday Night Football" (8:15 p.m. ET, NBC) against the league's 32-ranked defense. After that, however, they face the New York Jets (4-4), Philadelphia Eagles (8-1), Kansas City Chiefs (7-2), Dallas Cowboys (5-3) and Los Angeles Chargers (4-4)."For right now, we got to look ourselves in the mirror, understand we do have a tough stretch, but that's the NFL," center Mitch Morse said. "... We'll look at the film and I mean, we're not panicking, but the sense of urgency has never been higher." [ad_2] Source link

I keep thinking I've heard everything then . . .
I keep thinking I've heard everything, then . . . Every time I think, "Now I've heard everything," something else comes up and reminds me that no, I haven't heard everything yet. The latest item on the "now I've heard everything" list, also known as the, "What the . . . (fill in the blank)" list? You know how at the Bills-Bengals game this past week, when Damar Hamlin showed up to encourage his team? That wasn't Damar Hamiln. It was a clone. You see, Damar Hamlin really died. So the NFL and the FBI substituted a clone because they don't want to admit that Hamlin really died from the COVID-19 vaccine. This is why Hamlin has not done an interview since he was released from the hospital. And also why, when he went to the Bills-Bengals game, he came dressed in a mask, sunglasses, and hoodie. The person in the SkyBox that was filmed giving the "heart" signal to his team? That was the clone. And by the way, he wasn't really giving the "heart" sign. He was flashing Illuminati signals. This is the theory floated on Twitter by a particular Tweeter whom I will not name. And sadly, there are those going along with it. Damar Hamlin decided to troll the trolls by posting a picture of himself posing next to a mural someone painted of Damar making his "heart" gesture and commenting, "Clone". So let's see: Damar Hamlin collapsed from cardiac arrest on January 2nd. But his cardiac arrest wasn't caused by a rare condition called commotio cordis. Or possibly another type of heart condition. It was caused by the "jab"; i.e. the COVID vaccine. So the NFL went into coverup mode and brought in a body double to play Damar Hamlin. He was trained for 72 hours to walk and behave like Hamlin, including the famous heart gesture. And it was the FBI that brought in the body double. When he appears in public -- which he has done rarely -- he wears a mask, sunglasses and hoodie so that people won't know that he's not the real Damar. This is why he won't show his face and why he hasn't done an interview since being released from the hospital. If you sit down and think about it: - Wouldn't his family sense that there was something "off" about their son? - Why would the FBI be interested in bringing in a body double and helping the NFL cover up a death? - Why would the NFL cover up a player death in the first place? - Wouldn't the team know that there was something "off" about their friend and teammate? Has it occurred to anyone that the reason why Damar Hamlin hasn't done any interviews is because he's still being treated for his heart condition? That the reason he wears a mask in public is because he has a heart condition and is now immunocompromised? That he wears glasses and a hoodie in public because he'd probably be swarmed if people knew who he was? I've read YouTube conspiracy comments about the JFK assassination, the RFK assassination, the 1969 moon landing, and the 9/11 attacks. A few days ago, I blocked a Tweeter who commented that they found it hard to believe that 19 "terrorists" took down a whole country with "box cutters" (the words in quotes are from the tweet.) Six million Jews died in concentration camps, men did walk on the moon, the birth certificate is real, jet fuel does melt steel, and Oswald acted alone. Add to that list: Damar Hamlin does not have a body double. It becomes very hard to keep your faith in humanity when you read certain comments on social media. These days, I just look at them, shake my head, and move on after a well-deserved eye roll for the commenter. Just my .04, adjusted for inflation.
