He is so smug about the fact that he gets to call you his spouse. Absolutely the type to refer to you as his husband/wife/spouse and then melt over the fact that he can say that.

Similar to the last point, as you now have a title due to being married to Percy, he will find excuses to use it. It's another reminder that you chose him!

No matter how stubborn this man is with most, he folds like wet paper with you. Percy is awful at saying no to you. He is whipped and he cannot do a thing about it.

All he really wants to do is spoil you with everything he has. What is the point of money and status if not to give you the perfect life?

Cassandra does her best to strike up a friendship with you and thinks it is hilarious that you could easily convince your husband to do anything. She will try and get you to take advantage of this for silly things.

If you become close with his sister, he's done for. Family is so important to him, and you and Cassandra are the biggest parts of his. Having you two get along is all he wants.

Cass makes a comment once about wanting to become an aunt and almost kills Percy.

Vex

Vex is subtler about how incredibly happy she is, but you know the way her eyes sparkle whenever someone mentions you.

There are jokes made about you being Trinket's step-parent. Trinket has decided the correct way to react is to try and make you pet him whenever he hears it. If he isn't expecting it, he gets excited and will knock you over from the force of it. Vex loves this.

Vex'ahlia has a possessive streak and you are well aware of it. She likes having a hand on you whenever she's next to you, and it will become incredibly obvious if she starts feeling as though someone is paying a little too much attention to you. This is when she starts saying 'My spouse," every time she refers to you.

She will say the worst, most blatant, innuendo in front of the party without so much as a blush. If you get flustered, then it's all the more fun.

Vex finds a lot of joy in still being able to fluster you, no matter how long the two of you have been together.

Vax

Vax can't quite believe that you agreed to marry him. On some level, it feels like he has been living a dream since the wedding.

He's so ridiculously soft over you. Vex claims he has heart eyes whenever you aren't looking. She's right.

He has dreamed of having a simple, content life ever since he was a kid. All he really wanted was to have someone he loved and could rely on. You give him so much more than that.

His deal with the Raven Queen haunts him sometimes, when he thinks about how much time he will or won't get to have with you. He promised himself that he would give you all of the love he could for as long as he could.

Vax tries to do small things to make your days easier when he can. For him, that's what love is. Wanting to make someone's life easier, to make them happy. You'll often see small things that he'd done for you without him saying he's done them.

Doesn't really know who Bhaal is. Maybe she's heard the name during her travels. But you'll have to explain to her a bit. I mean, the guy must be a shithead if you left him.

Chapter One: At the Start

Vox Machina had defeated an army of the undead and killed a vampire and his necromantic wife which stopped them from unleashing an entity they called the 'Whispered One.' They had avenged Percy's family and liberated the people of Whitestone.

And helped rid their friend of his literal inner demon.

They had returned to Emon via Sun Tree teleportation thanks to Keyleth and cleared their names to Uriel and his council.

Afterward, they were allowed back to their Keep, given a parade, and seats on the Sovereign's Council. The taverns and brothels were once again open to them and they were awarded a small fortune for their work against the Briarwoods.

The Sovereign had even taken Percy aside and apologized to him personally for bringing the Briarwoods to Emon. And while Percy stiffly accepted it, the rest of the team could see that much still weighed on his mind.

He returned to his workshop in the Keep and began work on a gun to replace his original pepperbox and an electric glove he had dubbed 'Diplomacy.' The metallic clang of his hammer echoed from the basement, louder than before they had left for Whitestone since he kept the door open and did not lock himself in.

But as his creations took shape, his mind became more tangled as Delilah Briarwoods' last words rang in his thoughts. In all of theirs.

"I wonder... if you will ever find... Ciara?"

Ciara de Rolo.

Fourth-born child of the de Rolo Family, younger sister to Percival de Rolo, older sister to Cassandra de Rolo, and was believed to have been killed with the rest of the de Rolo family the night the Briarwoods attacked.

Percy and Cassandra had spoken on the matter for hours before Vox Machina left Whitestone, on the possibility that their sister was still alive.

The siblings agreed that since Cassandra would be staying in Whitestone to help rebuild and lead the people, Percy would look for any sign of Ciara.

But, there had been an agreed-upon deadline of three months. Cassandra had insisted on it,

"You've spent your life devoted to avenging our family, Percival. While I do wish for our sister to be alive and have her found, I don't want you to be devoured by this quest either,"

He could not fault her worry, and agreed, asking that the three months only began when he had replaced the weapons he had lost.

That bargain had been struck, and now, with Percy carefully placing the four-barreled pistol on the table before him and staring at the jeweled glove on his left hand, he knew it was time.

Originally, Percy had intended on going alone as he felt that his friends had done enough when it came to his family. But, when he declared his intentions to Vox Machina the next morning, Percy was met with disagreements from all sides,

"You honestly think we would let you do this alone?!" Vex questioned in disbelief as Trinket growled from where he sat,

"Vex... Look, I appreciate everything you have done-"

"You better fucking be! We've fought zombies, vampires, and even a fucking demon!" Scanlan exclaimed while Grog piped up,

"Yeah! And I let you shoot me!"

Pike put her hand on Grog's arm and turned to Percy, "What they mean, is that you shouldn't expect us to let you do this alone,"

"They're right, Percy," Vax nodded, his tired gaze meeting the equally exhausted eyes of Percy,

"I mean, it's like Scanlan said, we just defeated an army of the undead. So how hard can finding one person be?" Keyleth asked with a slight laugh.

Percy sighed while placing his hands on the table,

"Given the fact that no one has seen her since, the Briarwoods attacked, and all we have to go on is the dying words of Delilah, very hard, Keyleth,"

The druid's expression fell at his words as Vax rolled his eyes,

"Well, Percival, if you were planning on doing this alone, what was your first step?"

Percy didn't have an answer,

"Could scrying work to find her?" Pike questioned, "I've never attempted to do it myself, but we could ask someone at the Temple of the Everlight. Or Lady Allura?"

"Yeah, but, I think we don't exactly have the best relationship with Allura?"

"What? C'mon, Scanlan!" Exclaimed Grog, "She totally likes us!"

Percy sighed and glanced at Pike, "If, you are willing, would you go with me to the temple this afternoon?"

The gnome smiled and nodded, "I'd be happy to,"

A hand was placed on his shoulder as Vex said, "You're not going through this alone, darling. We won't let you,"

Agreements were heard around the table as Percy sank into his seat, disbelief crashing over him.

He'd thought that, after what happened, they would agree to let him go on his own.

What happened at the Ziggarut was a bit of a blur, but most prominent was when he'd pointed the pepperbox at his friends. As the barrel spun, and that thing showed him name after name in fiery lettering.

The names of his friends, and Cassandra.

The only family he had, this new one he had built and what remained of his old one, and he had almost killed them! 

But each of them was willing to put their trust back into him.

Percy didn't think he deserved it, but he would not squander this second chance. He didn't know what would happen if he lost it.

Again,

"Thinking about your sister?"

He looked up at Vex's question, realizing that everyone else had left the room which left him and the ranger by themselves,

"Yes," He sighed, placing his head in his hands, "With Cassandra... I, could at least begin to understand what she went through. Since the two of us were kept together before our attempted escape. But, Ciara, I... know next to nothing,"

Vex carefully reached out, grasping Percy's gloved hand, and held it tightly with silent encouragement,

"The last time I saw her, was at that, damned dinner," Percy hissed, "She was standing next to Julius. She'd... Ciara had..."

The ranger squeezed the hand she was holding as Trinket nuzzled against Percy, placing his armored head in the gunslinger's lap with a huff,

"Darling?"

Percy slumped further against the table, his free hand resting on Trinket's head as he returned the grip Vex had on his fingers,

"They killed our parents first. A sword through the chest for my father, two bolts to the neck for my mother," The hand Vex held was shaking, "Julius saw what happened and tried reaching us. But, he had been next. Ciara had been standing next to him, his blood hit her face, and she froze. I..." Percy glanced up at Vex, "The last I saw of her, was when our sister Vesper grabber her and Whitney's hand, and ran out of the room,"

Vex closed her eyes, once again imagining the horrors her Percy had faced before pressing her lips to the cold metal on his left hand,

"If Ciara is alive, we'll find her, Percy,"

"And what if she's dead? What if she'd been killed?"

"Then we find who killed her, and give them the same treatment as the Briarwoods,"

The determination in her voice brought a small smile to Percy's face, but it fell as quickly as it appeared when he asked,

"And what if it was the Briarwoods who killed her?"

The ranger, as if expecting this question, answered quickly,

"Then you and Cassandra mourn Ciara. Without either the Briarwoods or Orthax hanging over your minds,"

Trinket let out a light grunt as he licked Percy's hand, then nuzzled the man hard enough that he fell into Vex's side as she wrapped her arm over his shoulder,

"One way or another, Darling, you will get answers to what happened to her,"

Reader plays with VM's Hair

Percy isn't quite sure how to respond when your fingers brush through his short hair, pushing it back out of his face. He tenses up for a moment, not used to something so tender. But when your fingertips drag across his scalp he relaxes, leaning back into your touch.

Vax is very happy the first time you touch his hair, twisting it around your fingers in an attempt to make it curl. The first time you braid it catches him off guard but he loves it, not taking his hair out of the braid until you want to brush it again (it's a curly mess).

Vex is a bit more hesitant at first. She likes to have her hair exactly where she puts it, so your gentle touch is almost unwelcome at first but she relents, because it's you. You gently brush her hair, humming a song your mother used to sing to you, and nobody dares disturb you. For once, Vex almost seems at peace.

Pike loved when you started to play with her hair. She loves the way your fingers drag across her scalp, almost as though you're trying to massage the tension away. She will always, always, make time for it after a mission.

Scanlan is surprisingly iffy about other people touching his hair. So when you do it for the first time, it takes a lot for him not to flinch away from you. After a while of you gently running your fingers through his hair on a morning, he settles into the new routine.

Keyleth is so happy when you start to play with her hair. She leans into your hand immediately, silently giving permission for you to do what you pleased. You twist it round your fingers, braid parts of it, brush it through, twist sections up into buns. It's a fun way for you to relax together.

You knew Vex'ahlia loved teasing. You didn't need to turn around to see the in your mind with exact details the amused smirk she currently had. You thought that asking her to teach you archery would be a good idea, underestimating Vex'ahlia's ability to tease you. Her firm grip on your waist to stabilize you, her breathing playing with the goosebumps in your neck, her body pressed against your back, you did not know if you were in heaven or in hell.

"Your hands are shaking," she hummed playfully.

"Yeah, no shit !"

Your eyes were on the target, your mind was elsewhere. And you knew she was aware of that. The low and seductive chuckle vibrating in your ears told you enough.

"What a tease," you sighed. "How could someone so cute can suddenly turn so frivolous will always be a mystery to me."

You suddenly felt her touch and her presence retreating as well as her amused aura. Lowering the bow, you turned to look at her and were faced with a surprising but endearing sight.

Her eyes timidly avoiding yours and the blush gently spreading on her cheeks revealed how she felt thanks to your words.

"Oh dear Vex," you gasped, your eyes softening. "Are you flustered ?"

This simple remark seemed to infuriate her state even more.

Vex'ahlia

Vex is pretty protective of her bow, she likes having it on her in case it's needed at a moment's notice.

However, if you steal it, she'll suspect Vax and Scanlan first, giving you some time to have your fun before she catches you.

She's about ready to kill the boys, but when she realizes you have her bow, the anger all just melts away. Doubly so if you are visibly bad with the bow.

Vex will teach you how to use it just for the excuse to be pressed up behind you to correct your stance.

If it's her Fenthras bow, she will not teach you how to use its abilities unless you specifically ask. She is well aware of how much trouble you could get into with the bramble shot.

Keyleth

Keyleth more uses her magic and wild shapes than a direct weapon, but her staff is a good equivalent.

She will assume that she misplaced it, and she will panic about it. Please tell her when you take it.

Ask for your own staff and she will get you a tree branch, it's not hard. It will be a very nice branch though.

She knows the basics of defending herself just with her staff, and she's more than willing to run you through them too if you ask!

She would love to spar with you during downtime. It improves both of your skills and it's fun to knock the staffs against each other.

Pike

Another magic user! She does have her Morningstar though, and it is ridiculously fun to swing around.

She'll laugh when she sees you with it, trying to understand the balance of the swings. It's a little bit like swinging a sledgehammer.

"Come on, I've got my shield! Swing it at me!" She playfights with Grog all the time, so there's nothing she would love more than teaching you to use the Morningstar by jumping right into the action.

Pike is pretty comfortable with using either her weapon or her magic, so she isn't super bothered by you borrowing it. If you don't ask though, it will become a game of hiding it from each other.

She will not offer to get you your own because she really enjoys seeing you swinging hers around. It never fails to make her smile.

Okay, so the entire team has their own negatives that everyone seems to like.. make a good thing and use it to their advantage?

Obviously, for plot reasons, you have Shoto's family trauma too.

They have NEVER seen your ice/fire curse as something to be looked down upon, but they never really tried to convince you it isn't.

I feel like they'd be too awkward about it knowing the background LMFAO

Because of this, you just kind of thought they were equally as ashamed of you as you were with yourself.

It's some powerful magic shit so they try to tell you to be careful about it, you took it the wrong way

You eventually end up talking to Keyleth about it, and she started squabbling about it to you nervously because she thought she offended you

In all actuality, they all love you and enjoy your company.

They think its cool when you do ice tricks.

It obviously took you a while to warm up to them with fire magic, and its always nice to have around winter.

Pike specifically asks you to warm a lot of stuff up for her, since you figured out how to just make your hands warm.

Usually things like socks, blankets, food, drinks, or for you to boil water in the middle of no where.

It's always a funny conversation to have with her.

"Heyyy.. uhmmm... You mind-"

You take the item and already start heating your hands up.

"No. No I do not."

You love being helpful to them ˙◠˙

Percy likes to bring you to his little workshop and make you his assistant, he finds its much easier to make weaponry or contraptions with someone who can help him bend metal.

You stick your hands out, and he places a long, thin, spiral of metal on them.

"Thank you." You hum. in response to him.

Percy is so thankful to you out of all of them. He says thank you for every little thing.

At one point, when you were still learning, You froze one of Keyleth's plants, and she got a brain freeze for a solid 15 seconds.

"Oh my GOSH! Keyleth I am so sorry oh my gosh.."

"No-no.. its okayy.. he was almost dead anyway.."

She said, holding her head, groaning from the severe brain freeze she suddenly got.

Doesn't know what to do when you begin coughing up a deep blue flower color. She thinks it's some weird spell that was used on you and takes you to Keyleth for help.

Keyleth, knowing the ailment you have due to Ashari history she's learned, is immediately worried (but also gushing about you being in love with someone). Vex is confused as to what she means. Why the fuck does being in love cause you to slowly die?

Your feelings towards her get admitted, as Vex pretty much threatens you. She rather you embarrassed than die. Vex is shocked when she learns that she's the cause of your pain.

Keyleth is in the process of explaining how their is magic to fix you, but it'd make your feelings go away, but Vex doesn't listen as she pulls you into a hug and calls you an idiot. You all have been through so much together, of course she'd fall in love with you in return.

Vex is letting you know that her heart is yours and is relieved at the petals being less frequent, as if your body accepted her words and is getting rid of the last of the petals.

Bonus: Keyleth is absolutely gushing about how romantic this all is but she's failing to stay quiet to give you two a moment.
