*VESTA EVENT #004

*LAKE VESTA REGATTA_

As the summer heat starts to peak, Vesta residents start to recognize the signs of summer coming to end. Back to school shopping has begun, and signs appear for the Lake Vesta Regatta. Boats flood the lake and streets, and the makings of a water obstacle course appear.

*DATE_

The event will begin THURSDAY, AUGUST 20 at 12pm EST and end on MONDAY AUGUST 24 at 12pm EST.

*LOCATION_

The Lake Vesta Regatta is held at Lake Vesta and it’s surrounding beaches. 

*SPECIAL FEATURES_

Boat Races: Starting at 6 AM and running until sunset daily there are boat races throughout the day. These races will include motorboats, sailboats, and rowboats

Water Obstacle Course: A portion of the lake is sectioned off for a water obstacle course that will delight both kids and adults alike.

Street Food: Food vendors will be serving up food centered around mostly seafood.

Sandcastle Competition: Starting at 12PM and running until 3PM friends and family will have their hand at building their own castle made of sand and enter it to win.

Jet Skiing & Wakeboarding: Join us down by the lake all day to partake in a turn on the Jet Ski or the Wakeboard with trained professionals.

*NOTE_

You can post and reply to event starters during this time period up until 12pm EST MONDAY, after that we ask that you no longer post or reply to event starters. However you may continue current ones to a close.

I only see a handful of you guys still following me and I openly know I’m doing a shitty thing by using the tags, but I want this out there. You guys have the right to know what happened to me. Using past tense for everything, so lord knows who I’m talking about.

I think we should discuss why people left the group. I will not be giving any names, characters or direct proof. The admins have this proof. It has all been turned over from what I have gathered. If you guys don’t listen to me, that’s fine. If you guys ignore me, that’s fine. If you guys think I’m a bitch, that’s fine. Opinions are meant to be formed by yourself and only yourself.

And that is going to be the thesis to my statement. There was an admin that would express their opinions on muses, fcs, fandom shit and other topics while in a position of power that made it near impossible to disagree with them and created a toxic and systematic bullying culture. Some things this admin did is as follows but not limited to: making fun of people's applications to other members, making fun of specific groups of fc's, putting people into awkward positions either due to ethnicity or relation to another person within the rp, shit talking other people's characters while as admin, shit talking other muns as admin etc.

The reason why I left is because an admin told another member that she was scared of me coming to them with the intensions of laughing or making fun of my intensity. I am autistic. I do not hide this fact. Anyone who has talked to me knows that I bring it up so people know to be patient. When I am upset, like I am now, I speak extremely stilted. It is like this in person, too. Going to another member while you are the admin with the intentions of talking smack about someone going to them is inappropriate.

Me going to the admins about this is why I left the group. Not to mention that this admin has talked down about other muses to people while they were admin.

Now, what was I coming to them about? The fact that multiple people KPop FC’s felt like we were not being responded to. I try my best to reply to any and all starters on any of my characters, especially when I noticed I was replying to the same few people. It happens. You make friends with people you like to write with. But I was ignoring new people. I notice that this bubble was happening with multiple friend group and I just wanted to let the main know that multiple people were having this problem, too, not just me.

It’s no big deal. We are all guilty of this at some point or another within an RP. IT happens. But we were shrugged off and told that it was not happening. And then we were called out within the OOC post which was then targeting us as the people who went to the admins.

The admin who created this culture is still within the group despite multiple evidences coming forward about what they did, what they would say and general toxicity that came from them.

Vesta can do better. The muns in this group can do better. I have no ill feelings towards anyone within this group.

To anyone I hurt since I was also complicit within this culture, I am sorry. If you want a formal apology, please come to me and let me know what I have done and I will reflect and give you my whole heart. I sometimes don’t catch social cues and that is on me. I want to make right on it. I openly know that I might not have been nice in my DM's with her and it took until it happened to me to realize what I was doing was unacceptable. But I'm going to do my part in ending this culture.

The event will begin SUNDAY OCTOBER 18th at 12pm EST and end on SUNDAY OCTOBER 25 at 12pm EST.

The monster mash, it was a graveyard smash

The (momentarily) supernatural town of Vesta, MI Halloween is a week long celebration. The supernatural beings of Vesta each put on their own Halloween party, each one trying to one up the other, and invite the mortals to enjoy the party. In a world of the magic and mystic though, not everything is as it seems.

Party #1 - The Fairies  Wednesday Night Hosted by: @jooniesong​   Magical Element: You might want to stay away from the punch at this party, unless you don’t mind being candid the rest of the night. Just like fairies can’t lie, this punch makes the drinker truthful, and only truthful, the rest of the evening. Other party events/location: Its going to be at one of the parks. Midsummer Nights Dream-esque. Lots of pretty flowers and twinkly lights and homemade food. 

Party #2 - The Vampires Thursday Night Hosted by: @lysataylor​ Magical Element: Most Vesta Vampires have learned to survive without drinking human blood, so mortals are safe! However, we suggest you stay away from the impressive portrait of Dracula. If you look into his eyes for even a split second, you fall under a vampiric hypnotism and will be controlled by the next person you speak to. Other party events/location: Royal Museum of Art.  Decadent black tie charity event with a small band and cocktails.

Party #3- The Witches Friday Night Hosted by: @autumnhornburg​ Magical Element: The Witches are known for some of the best brews in Vesta. At this party, they’re letting everyone sample their newest drinks, and they just might have some influence on your mood. The drink in the yellow bottle makes you cheery. The drink in the green bottle makes you jealous. Pink makes you flirty. Blue makes you sad. Purple makes you sleepy. And orange makes you scared. Other party events/location: Warehouse in the Industrial Park that has been done up for the night.

Party #4 - The Werewolves Saturday Night (Full Moon) Hosted by: @carter-penn​ Magical Element: The werewolves have set up a huge corn maze, but you don’t want to get lost in the maze after the full moon rises. At that point it turns into a haunted corn maze, run by the werewolves in their wolf form - unable to change back to their human form. (Don’t worry mortals, they have much more control in their wolf forms now than they do in all the old tales.) Other party events/location: Party to be held in Sweetville Park in Quincy Borough as some of the most sinister, immoral, wicked folks hide behind the white picket fences of the suburbs. Themed drinks from local bartenders like the Wolf’s Blood (Whiskey, Vermouth, Blood Orange Liqueur, Bitters, Orange Bitters), the Silver Bullet (Vodka, Lemon juice, Gin), and the Full Moon Cocktail (Black Forest red wine, bourbon, simple syrup, and a large round ice ball). Wandering throughout the party are local magicians practicing slight of hand and transformation of objects. 

*NOTE_

 In true supernatural fashion, time is a little wonky. The parties are simply backdrops for threads and you can play as if you’re at any party throughout the week of event (they don’t have to be in chronological order). 

General lore for each species can be applied to your characters. If you have any questions about what is or isn’t allowed, just ask! Also, always check with your RP partner to make sure they’re okay with whatever supernatural elements you’re applying to your threads. 

The magical elements of the parties are completely optional! They are there to inspire and encourage different, fun threads.

This is an AU event, so the things that happen during this week will not bleed into your normal character development, etc. 

For those who want nothing to do with a supernatural element, you’re welcome to play mortals at a normal Halloween party since all magical elements at the parties are optional. We encourage Halloween costumes and other normal Halloween traditions! 

Unless your character is picked to host one of the parties, you’re welcome to change the supernatural species of your character prior to the start of the event from what you had originally put on the survey.

* VESTA EVENT #005 _ RENAISSANCE FAIR OUTFIT *

clémentine used to love history in secondary school (québec's equivalent to middle school & high school combined because torturing students is fun). enough to participate in such a fair? that is questionable. i feel like she did not want to go, at all, using the excuse that she could run the bakery while her employees were having fun. that was until someone showed her this dress... and she spent a little fortune on it, but it was definitely worth it!
