"How do you get the boat out of your basement? What is your favourite memory of Shannon and Kelly?" veryspxcialagentdinozzo with much love.
Everyone's so hyped up about the damn boat. A small part of him even wants to laugh about it, a short bark of laughter that comes from his own personal amusement [ if not mildly sadistic. ] He's got a right to keep his secrets ---- only, he's also got a past, and that's got secrets too, so where's that leave him? In a dimly-lit basement, coated in sawdust, and with a bottle of bourbon. On most days.
So, he doesn't wanna answer that first question.
Instead, he smiles, the ghost of one [ like the ghosts that fill that same damn basement ] and turns his gaze out into the distance.
Crystal clear, like it happened yesterday, memories of his first wife and daughter flash before his eyes -- it starts with the day his little girl was born, and sure as hell doesn't stop there. He remembers first words and first steps and messy morning breakfasts [ Kelly sure did love her food-fights. ] He remembers late night movies on the living room sofa, telling Kelly to cover her eyes because Mommy and Daddy were gonna do some of that scary kissing. He remembers camping trips, and riding horses down the beach.
He remembers building a bird house, how he and Kelly [ who painted it herself ] surprised Shannon with it on Mother's Day. He remembers hugging both his girls, real close and real tight, just like he remembers how much it hurt to let 'em go.
[ Don't go, Daddy, please don't go. ]
”My favorite?“ He asks, and if his throat's tight, if he's gotta swallow back a couple things, Jethro won't tell a soul.  ”Everything -- every last one.“

"How'd we get in this mess?" veryspxcialagentdinozzo also known as xtheheroesx's new Tony DiNozzo blog. :P
2. got stuck in a storm at sea
there had been plentiful dreams of dark waves looming like giant titans that finally crashes down and ultimately drowns the unfortunate soul caught in the unmerciful storm. only there had never been a lonely, permanent end threatening to take hold. and now he wasn’t alone. they had been sailing pleasantly and the sky was the color of raw blue topaz with warm cotton ball clouds as gentle companions. There was no foreseeable danger here. There never was.
The night before, the crew had been drinking and singing merrily. Someone was playing the banjo with an air of child like grace and the room was never absent of laughter. The following day went just as well and nothing sparked their attention as off. But the sea is magnificently dangerous and volatile with no exception.
The sky has become the color of spilled blue ink and the rain shifts into a heavy fall. The water harshly rocks the boat and the people on board walk about like a dunk man. They struggle to keep afoot but fail without much hope. The deck is washed with salty water and feet splash hurriedly to warmer quarters. It is Tony who is still fighting to keep his footing but the sea’s wrath is prevalent. Before he disappears to safety below deck, Cas notices his mate and hastens to help.
Temperatures drop quicker than the effects of gravity and without thinking, one of the two men grab a tarp that tumbles by, and together they feebly attempt to make use of it by making it a temporary cover. The sea continues to surround the boat with waves of tremendous size and almost capsizes the poor vessel once or twice. The watery walls are menacing and they toy with the boat as if deciding whether or not to crush it. Castiel and Tony almost reach the door to below but not before falling multiple times on the way there. They’re shivering violently and are obviously drenched but they’re so close.
the storm lessens just as quick as it came which means they’ve rested in the eye of the storm. For now, the two revel in the sudden calm and throw the tarp down. It isn’t as if they’ve never been in this situation before. They know what to expect but it’s also terrifying. The boat is still and the clouds swirl slowly but it is not over yet.
