A/N: Hi cuties! After posting some dc comics related imagines over the last couple of years I've decided to finally post a list of my own headcanons for batboys! Just a disclaimer - these are based on multiple dc related media (comics, shows, fan-made content) as well as just my imagination. I do not mean any harm with these! Dick Grayson (25-29ish yo)

Wears contacts all the time when he’s out. His sight used to be perfect up until puberty. Only wears prescription glasses when he knows he’ll spend the entire day wearing sunglasses – has prescription on them (he does have an emergency pair of regular glasses though).

Has a deep set of dimples. More visible when he’s a dehydrated raisin of a human being. He has a special bottle for just water to force himself to drink more.

Is left handed. His siblings bother him for that matter when he accidentally elbows somebody while eating.

Is “silently” addicted to energy drinks. Has tried to switch to other beverages but ultimately always goes back to energy drinks.

Sings in the shower, has a genuinely good singing voice. Pretends to be shy when people suggest doing karaoke.

Has chronic wrist pain due to a bad fracture.

Is a minimalist. Hates clutter and frequently gets rid of things like clothes, unnecessary gadgets, kitchen utensils etc.

Loves rock climbing and bouldering.

Has pockmarks on his cheeks. Had tried different products to make them fade away, but gave up and accepted his fate.

Uses a lot of post-it notes around his apartment.

Jason Todd (22-24ish yo)

Jason is the only one with brown eyes. You cannot convince me otherwise. Don’t try to.

He’s the best cook out of all the guys. Finds it very therapeutic. Genuinely enjoys making meals especially if others can stop by for dinner or pick up his food. (always makes me think of those pics of him and Dick in the kitchen in Gotham Knights!)

Has type 1 diabetes, uses a pump. (As mentioned here!)

Has a private library stamp for his book collection because any time someone visits him, somebody borrows (steals) books from him.

Plays the violin, self-taught as an adult. It’s his “safe” hobby that convinces his neighbours that he’s just a regular guy.

Has a full arm tattoo sleeve, it’s his way of dealing with body dysmorphia and body image issues. His tattoos include book references, fav movie characters and different symbols for all of the siblings (not their super hero stuff though, for safety reasons).

Has reading glasses. (As mentioned here!)

Hates arugula, loves Italian cuisine. He is not afraid of carbs (his glucose monitor states otherwise) and makes noodles often.

Has wavy hair but doesn’t use proper products for his texture.

Has veryyy straight teeth naturally. Others are jealous.

Tim Drake (20-21ish yo)

Journals. Even when he’s severely sleep deprived. It’s his way of dealing with heavy stuff, but also his archive in case he goes missing.

Has a nintendo switch. Doesn’t really use it but he knows that Damian steals it that’s why he keeps it instead of selling it.

Has a proper skin care routine. It includes dying his hair dark every 4 weeks cause he has gray hairs due to stress.

Uses ktape regularly. Struggles with chronic back pain and uses a foam roller.

Is vegan. Doesn’t try to convince other peeps to switch to veganism knowing that they are barely capable of making food for themselves. Will make an exception and eat meat if it’s a meal prepared by somebody close to him.

Is a huge music fan, listens to music often. Mostly metal, but also pop, rap. Doesn’t really discriminate music genres.

Loves playing board games. Is the type to bring board games to social meetings of sorts in case people want to play.

Has a very pleasant, contagious laugh. Rarely laughs out loud, but those who know his laugh try hard to make him laugh for that matter.

Has really sparse facial hair. Would like to grow out a stache or beard but cannot.

Blushes very easily. Doesn’t like it. Despises cold temperatures for that matter.

am i the only one that has VERY specific interests inside of scp but also isn't very connected to the lore of said interests?

Like, first off I am extremely specific with the things I like and don't know alot of the BROAD info. For example I'm been obsessed with 035,049, and alagadda for the last 4 years or so, and newly fixated on sarkicism, but that's kinda it. Like if you asked me anything abt the mtf groups or the researchers i couldn't give you anything just bc I haven't looked into them and haven't really planned to. I know I SHOULD learn absolutely everything I can about every topic, but it's a very daunting task. Scp is huge. Am I being a fake fan or poser just because I cant understand alot of info on different aspects in scp? I want to, it's just scary.

second, even with the things I DO like (I'll use sarkicism and alagadda as an example, only because I'm somewhat happy on the knowledge I have on 035 and 049) I still don't know as much as other people into it. Am I even allowed to say I like alagadda if I haven't read all the tales and know the entire lore? Am I able to say I like sarkicism and post about it if I haven't even started reading En Memoria Adytumn(?) And get most of my info from what others say (I have read both tales - to my knowledge- containing derdekeas, so he's an exception ig). I don't want to be a fraud. I love my headcanons and making new stories out of stuff I know for my own universe, but I'm starting to think that they're moving me back in my "studies" of scp

All in all, I'm worried. I've felt like this for the whole 5 years I've been in this community, and it's never really gone away no matter how much I assure myself that it's okay to not know everything. I don't want to let anyone down or disappoint, I want to be the "ideal fan" of the scp universe that knows almost everything but I'm just not. I have barely anything to show for the time I've been obsessed with it, and it's embarrassing. Tbh i dont feel comfortable calling it a special intrest of mine anymore just bc from what ive heard, a special intrest is something youll learn anything about and are expertly versed on. I want so badly to learn everything I can, bit there's a lack of spark to do so. I think my pessimism is holding me back and I don't know how to break free. It sucks ass.

Anyways, thanks for making it this far. Just something I had to get off my chest. If you have any insights or opinions, please vote on what I should do. I think it would give me the push I need to get set on a decision and

Belated MLK Day Special: Our Friend Martin AKA Martin Luther King: Time Jesus (Commission for WeirdKev27)

Hello all you happy people and a happy very belated MLK day to you all. What happened was the slot only opened up for this review on the day itself and it took me a while to watch it but frankly any day is good for honoring Martin Luther King. And today we're honoring the good doctor, hero, legend, and man of peace with a look at a bizzare educational film that attempts to do the same. It... it certainly tried.

Our Friend Martin comes to us from 1999 and from 90's animation and home video giant DiC. I don't have much more: the film was shown in classrooms as my friend cory has vauge memories of it and was nominated for the outstanding animated program emmy, but wikipedia didn't have much more. It does have an absolutely STACKED cast: LaVar Burton, Jaleel White, Ed Asner, Angela Basset, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, James Earl Jones, Ashly Judd, Susan Sarandon, John Travolta, Adam Wylie and current at the time of this writing Behind the Bastards subject Oprah Winfrey. Most of these are small rolls, a scene a piece, but it's still impressive and heartwarming just how many big names showed up for this.

Our Friend Martin is a lot. It has a child's shirt being ripped off as a running gag in the same film as an entirely accurate look at the Birmingham Riot. It's a film that's geninely educational as I learned some stuff from this specail.. but also uses time travel and has Martin Luther King sacrifice himself to save the future. It's a film that despite being behind I still badly wanted to review as it's something you just kinda have to get out of your system. Something so singularly weird yet exactly what you'd expect of it's time. it's our friend martin and it' under the cut.

Our Friend Martin is the story of Miles, an enthusastic young boy who dearly loves baseball and is a huge Hank Aaron fan but is bad at school. What I like is that there's some nuance to it, as Miles later tells his teacher part of why he focuses on it is he figures there's no real out for black people besides being famous and thus isn't focusing.

He's also 12 so his mom threatens to take away baseball and his teacher admits the principal wants to hold him back if his grade keeps up. Miles knows what most kids, and this grown ass man tend to know about Martin Luther King: he was a good man, did a lot of great things for civil rights. I know a bit more, his orignization of the march on washington.. but the fact I don't know much more than a fictional 12 year old is fucking damming and something that shamed me as I watched this. I mean.. I should know more about a man who helped make the world far better and was taken far too soon than what I barely remember from school. Granted my missouri education whitewashed a lot of stuff about the civil war, so i'm not super surprised we didn't have a big deep dive into martin luther king and all the horrible shit racist assholes did to him.

Miles is played by Robert Ri'chard. As I learned thanks to the magic of wikipedia, the child cast here all went on to do stuff, and Ri'chard went on to be the love intrest in One on One, a sitcom I dearly remember for being great fun when it was on the N, starring Proud Family's Kyla Pratt and having a bitching theme song.

His mom isn't in the movie much but is played by film legend and 911 superstar Angela Basset, one of many big names here for about 5 seconds but doing a terrific job.

Miles has other problems too in this case Kyle, his bully who as is standard for 90's bullies, wants to beat on him because shut up, is mildly dumb, has a weird haircut and gets comically humilated. In most cases this would be tripping in a puddle or having a dog bite him or getting escorted out of a ballet school after chasing Alfalfa and Spanky in there. In this case he chases Miles to the bus every day where he gets on just in time and the crazy old buss driver shuts the door on his shirt and drives off. This does not as you'd guess lead to Kyle being drug along the road to school to think about what he did and possibly be scarred for life, but instead his shirt just gets ripped off.

Now this is already fucking weird. When descirbing this to my good friend Jess, her response was an understandable

But it gets weirder, as Kyle now needs a ride in the car from his chainsmoking dad. His chainsmoking dad is only in one scene smoking it up, berating his son for being a half shirted looser and because they could get John Trevolta for a cameo. Weirdly he does not return later when they come back and the future is a back to the future part 2 style hellhole. Yes we're going full biff tanen for this one.

So on top of this, not only does this bus driver rip shirts off, but he also nearly runs children over. A lot. To the point miles is used to it. His name is Wild Man Willis and he's voiced by Richard Kind though we don't hear him till he shows up in the biff tanen timeline. Now granted all but one white person in the Biff Tanen timeline is a violent racist but the fact Mad Dog nearly runs over a black child every day tells me that maybe he always was and this is just plausable deniablity. Not all that plausable mind you as "I hit a child with a bus because I can't publicly do hate crimes again yet" isn't a defense in 1999, but hey.

So yeah already we have attempted comedy and attempted manslaughter and while it won't get WEIRDER it certeainly comes close.

For now let's meet the rest of the main cast as they prepare for a field trip: First up is Randy, Miles Token White best friend with a questionable southren accent, played by future fast in the furious tokyo drift star Lucas Black, once again in a roll he just was not ready for. Tokyo Drift speaks with a horrible southren accent they shoudl've just abandoned as young mister black cannot keep it up. Randy is a skateboarding cool dude who unforutnately is in most of this movie. I do not blame his voice on BLack whow as a children at the time, but more on the voice directors for not getting a better performance or dropping the southren accent.

Filling out the class is Maria, played by Jessica Cruz of On my Block and Liv and Maddie fame, both shows I haven't watched but I will give credit where it's due for. Maria is poorly written as the brains. She's not stupidly written but she is a know at all type a who constantly downtalks the main cast and whines constantly. It's a case of me appreciating that they made the only latina member of the cast smart.. but then being annoyed that she's that sort of smart that grates. The kind of person who just ahs to waggle their brain in your face.

Teaching these annoying children is Mrs. Dale, a hippie teacher who is wise and kinda there and played by Ashley Judd. That's about it.

Now we've met our cardboard cutouts their taken to visit Dr. Martin Luther King's home, and meet the curator, Mrs. Peck.

Yup Whoopi Goldberg taking a break from the Enterprise and the View to help with time travel. Or maybe this is Guinan as she is hundreds of years old. Point is Whoopi Goldberg is helping children travel through time so we should get back to that. When shown MLK's childhood bedroom miles notices some sparks and decides to visit the roped off room.. and is let in when Whoopi notices he has the touch, winds the magic time watch and off we go.

First stop is Martin Luther King Age 12, whose playing some baseball. We get the usual "We've traveled back in time?!" stuff you expect, not realizing it, realizing this is young version of person, etc. You get it.

It's also one of the more effective segments as young martin is playing with some white kids... whose racist mom shows up, berates them for playing with the "colored" and tells Randy, whose also here, point blank if he keeps hanging out with black people "he'll hang from the same tree as them" I... I don't have a pithy reaction image for that this special went fucking hard and it won't be the last time. For all it's flaws and weirdness.. this specail dosen't sugarcoat racisim. It isn't as blunt as it could be, but it's still blunt enough to make it clear just how bad it was. While most kids films, especailly edutainment like this, woudlnt' shy from the racisim part, the mention of hangings and some of the later stuff is pretty damn blunt, as well as the whole biff tanen future.

Next they join a teen martin on a train, finding out about segregation first hand. Danny Glover is the train conductor. That's.. not the best use of your Danny Glover film. They do make better use of their other stars for this bit: Jaleel White plays teen martin very well and I appricate having a diffrent performer for each time period. I"m already a fan of Jaleel as a voice actor, and i'd say he's my faviorite of the martins, injecting some energy into him. James Earl Jones plays Martin's father Reverened King, who the boys meet as they join MLK for supper and I like emphasising that his father made rounds, visting the sick and those who can't leave the home for prayer and such, imparting WHY MLK was like this: he had a good role model who taught him to look out for people. It's simple, sure, but it works and makes me want to learn more about the good reverened, which is what an educational film should do: teach you but also make you want to learn MORE about the thing. To make you enjoy the subject.

Next up is the Mongomery Bus Boycott, the famous one inspired by the rosa parks incident and something I had heard of because who hasn'.. and this is where the film once again goes hard. After the film's usual repitive round of our heroes trying to get martin to remember them, it happens almost every time and never stops being annoying and it's clear he dosen't from timeline to timeline, Martin gets some horrifying news from his friend Turner, played by Samuel L. Jackson himself who unlike a lot of the cameos in this film, actually gets a decent chunk of time to do stuff. Martin's house has been bombed

I had not heard of this and frankly this should be taught in more classes: The reverend's house is bombed. It woudln't even be the last time as the Birmigham Riots we'll get to next were caused by a bombing in a hotel room Doctor King had stayed at and the bombing of his brother Dexter's house. It's not at all suprising there were attempts on the good doctor's life before the one that sadly succeeded. It dosen't make it any less horrific as his wife , played by Behind the Bastards Subject Oprah Winfrey, Coretta is in deep fear.. and his friend Turner wants blood. It's understandable frustration: all Martin did was the right thing, boycotting the busses for equal rights.. and he was attacked for it. And it's telling his response isn't to join them in the attack (If hammily called by Jackson calling for people to use "guns and bricks") but for peace like Ghandi. IT's overwrought sure but I get the message: we are not them. The sad part is sometimes.. that just dosen't work. I respect dr king, he was a truly wonderful man who fought with peace despite how much he went through, how many hoses were turned on him how much time he spent in jail he persisted. I respet him. I wish peace always worked. I really did and I wish the world he dreamnt of would exist... but even if I don't agree that peace is the only option... I can agree that it should be the main one, and that he's one of the most courageous, kind and brave people i've ever known for fighting for it so damn hard, for fighting for what everyone should've had all along.

So to hammer this in our heroes are transported to the Birmingham Riot of 1963, something I dove into on wikipedia and was.. ugly. The short version is that Civil Rights Protestors were targeted and after bombings on Dr King's brother and an attempt on his life the people took to the streets and riots broke out, not unfairly given .. everything. What the special cuts is that John F Kennedy decided to quell the riots.. after all the violence against black people essentially sending the national guard to beat up black people rightfully upset that racists attempted to murder people just doing the right thing and had already taken several firehoses to the face from Bulll Connor, racist politican bafflingly voiced by Frank Welker here.

It's.. a bizzare experince to be sure. I don't doubt frank as a voice actor, he's one of the best in the buisness. He's scooby fucking doo, nuff said. And he has played villians, most famously president megatron

But it's very werid to hear one of his staple voices coming out of historical monster bull connor. He's a pitch or two from Megatron turning the fire hose on protestors. It's .. a lot.

The rest is fantastically done.. a horrifying panoply of dogs, fire hoses and bottles broken as violence spirals and our heroes are just.. lost in it. Their not hurt because edutainment, but I apricate the effort. It's a truly horrifying scene.

So it's back to the present and while he's genuinely learned some stuff Miles main takeaway is "time travel is rad" and "Martin Luther King is my friend now" so he plans to go back with randy tommorow.

The next day in class we get one of the weaker scenes. After a quick check that yup Kyle lost his shirt again and escaped death once again, our heroes chime in on a discussion of MLK and narrate over a video shown historical facts about King's arrest by bull connor, his being held and how after days of hearing nothing his wife called JFK who while a piece of shit about the riots, let's not mince words, did the right thing here and put pressure to get the good doctor released. IT's interesting stuff but I question both why this wasn't another stop on their time journey. Was it because King woudl've been absent if theyd idn't visit the jail itself? I dunno. It's weird.

Speaking of weird we have the weird way a lot of historical footage is used.. with a lot of color filters over grainy old footage. It looks weird isn't great and is mostly there to paper over where they didn't have the budget to animate something.

During the footage miles and co are spotted by Maria. Suspcious she tails them to the king house.. and brings Kevin because.....

So Miles and skrateboard get let back in while Whoopi Goldberg warns them about alterting witht he fabric of time. With a vauge warning instead of saying "Don't change the past dumbass". She lets Maria and Kevin in because why not send more dumbass children through time, and they end up in the room and end up traveling to the march on washington.

Kevin looses his shirt, again and he and miles prepare to throw hands but are stopped by Dr King. He was played by Levar Burton in the previous flashback and now by King's son Dexter, who does a great job especailly for someone who dosen't voice act regularly. The kids encounter their teacher as a younger woman, a bit I love, and Miles buys kevin a shit to bury the hatchet. The running gag comes full circle.

So we get the I Have a dream Speech.. which is done via archival footage but is still as stirring as ever and is the only time the use of historical stock footage works. The man's audio himself is the only way this really coudl've gone and while i'ms ure his son could've recited the speech well, and by heart, it feels right to use Martin's own words.

The kids are inspired and return and Miles is ready for more adventures.. till he finds out the awful truth... Martin Luther King was assassinated. And here's where I feel the film slips up: while the idea of this last act isn't horrible.. I question why it was necessary. The film's already nearly an hour long, it's more than long enough to fill up a class period or tv schedule. Why did we need Miles to go back in time to save Martin Luther king but destroy the present? It dosen't really add much... we get from the various flashbacks how important martin is, and Miles hearing the I have a dream speech in person feels like a better climax. Or if you have to touch on his assination have him be too late and instead go to the funeral. Or talk to martin shortly before and have MLK comfort him. THere were other methods

but instead miles grabs 12 year old martin.. whcih itself is just.. why? I get it was th efirst he met but woudln't it make more sense to grab him BEFORE he died? As a result time is destroyed and everyone else looses their memory.

So after ominously hinting at it all review, let's talk about the Biff Tanen Timeline. With MLK disappearing at age 12 miles is living in a beaten down apartment, MLK"s childhood home is rubble, and Randy's now Racist Randy, while Miles stupidly goes to his school and gets shooed out by the racist principal played by Ed Asner in a wasted part. Also maria can no longer speak english which... kay.

I'm... very mixed on this. I do like some touches like Randy being racist, showing had things just been slightly diffrent he woudln't be the kind annoying dullard we know but a racist asshole. And I may fucking hate randy but Racist Randy is even worse. Kevin would largely be the same but without his shirt based face turn from the sacred timeline.

My two big issues are

Miles is a fucking dumbass the whole segment and while I get not all fictional kids are going to be Marcy Wu levels of genre savy and spot the tropes, it's too blindingly obvious for him to not get, let alone for Martin alone to figure out.

While the present would be worse, which yes is possible, if MLK never existed, it feels insulting to all the other brave men and women (And probably a few nbs) in the civil rights movement, men and women who I wish I knew more names of and feel like researching more after this entirely due to this section of the film, to insuiate NO PROGRESS would be made without him. I get it, this is a late 90's edutainment specail. It's not going to be subtle. But MLK, while one of the biggest faces of civil rights was not the only one who fought for them. History would not be the same, things would've taken longer to set on the right course. It would not be good.. but I refuse to belivie all those involved would've done nothing. That Malcom X would've done nothing had MLK not existed. That's bullshit. It dosen't mean things wouldn't be much worse, or that Randy might be racist or what have you, but it wouldn't be the same as it was in the 60s. For all the fuckery we have now, I have to belivie humanity's better than that.

So Martin realizes he has to go back and die and become time jesus. Miles begs him not to.. but Martin returns and so does all of time. The actors play it very well and the moment is done shockingly well. As for why he can't just go back in time and save MLK... it's because the creators realized having Whoopi Goldberg explain MLK Has to die because time reasons goes against the message just the time. She also has ripple effect proof memory so she lived through all the horrors of the biff tanen timeline are left glued to her memory.

Miles is left sad though, if happy his friends are back to normal, but takes a good message: that we still do what we can and the work continues. Granted the work in this case.. is painting a mural of mlk while a bunch of acid washed clips of king are filtered in and a very 90s cover of ain't no mountain high enough plays

There are not enough drugs in the world to explain this ending, and i'm not on enough of those drugs to explain this ending. So with that inspiring acid trip done, our heroes stare at their handiwork as the movie ends.

Our Friend Martin means well. It does teach a lot about Dr King and to it's credit got me intrested in the man's life on a deeper level. Part of it is wanting the full story without the editing down for children, but i'm still intrested in something I shoudl've studied long ago and that counts.

This special's still trapped in the confines of it's time, being incredibly 90s and thus not having the budget something like this really deserved or the time it needed. This specail REALLY needed to be a full movie to get the full impact of things and truly use it's cast, but they barely had the budget for 40 minutes, and would've been better served shaving it slightly. We didn't need the biff tanen timeline or the montage at the end.

Our Friend Martin is a decent special, easy for me to poke fun at, fun too, but I can't deny that unlike a lot of other edutainment specials it does the best it can for it's time to be honest about it's message and about the horrific times MLK lived in and a good reminder of what the "good old days" many a jackass wants to go back to meant for the bulk of Americans. I can mock Martin Luther King being made into time jesus all I want, but I still give credit where it's due. This specail may be choppy, on the nose and with one timeline too many.. but it's heart was in the right place. Thanks for reading

Crowley dying in s3

I wasn't sure how to start this meta. I've had this theory with possible (big possible) evidence sitting around for ages and I just didn't know what to do with the information.

After I'd already had this information, I only seen a hand full of others talk about it, but none have touched on it in the same way as the things I've found in my research.

So let's get on with it. For reference I'm going to tag @nightingalecottage and their lovely post here. I really recommend reading it. This theory only saw the light of day because of their post and I told them I would tag them with my meta since it lends a lot to it. And I promised myself that I would finish this for them.

Now for the meat and potatoes. I'll break it all down about how I found this information and how it might lend some theory about possible plot to s3.

The facts were these.

To start I was doing research for a fic I'm working on and the details don't matter much but I'd planned to make my 'human' crowley a barrister. I was googling famous barristers for inspiration.

This lead me to wikipedia naturally as you do. And as I was looking over the list I saw this.

After seeing this name on the list of barristers in popular culture I had a mini freakout. Mainly because two things NG is a huge fan of Charles Dickens and A Tale of Two Cities is on the bookclub reading list. And I kept thinking why did this seem familiar and this is why.

A Tale of Two Cities is on the list of books that they recommend we read or were found in s2. So after I stopped freaking out I immediately went to the wiki page for this character. I wasn't too familiar with this book so I wanted to know more. As I was now super invested and intrigued. And found this.

Sydney Carton

I couldn't help be blown away by the similarities here between Sydney Carton and a certain depressed snake demon from s2. Morosely asking Shax on a bench in the first episode "What's the point of it all?"

For some context, in the novel Sydney Carton and his later best friend Charles Darnay share a striking semblance and are easily mistaken for each other. This is how Sydney is then able to make the switch with Darnay in the end saving his life.

This brings to mind of the lore that we know that Crowley and Aziraphale were once long ago one character and split into two. Also with the ideal casting choice that Terry Pratchett wanted one actor to play both roles. That would have been really interesting and funny. Also this plays into our favorite duo MS and DT having not worked together before because they were up for the same roles.

Let's move on to

Charles Darnay

Darnay resents his uncle's views much how Aziraphale resents certain aspects of heaven, but is never able to act on very much.

The note about Darnay being tutor of French made me chuckle considering what we know about Aziraphale being terrible at French. With that whole scene centered around it in s2.

Ok so we all are well versed and familiar with the famous Bastille scene. We all know the one and its clear the inspiration here for it comes from A Tale of Two Cities possibly.

Side note Darnay and Carton are both in love with Lucie here, but I posit that in the case of Good omens, Aziraphale is possibly both Darnay and Lucie. Making him the best friend and love intrest.

And finally why does any of this matter and what does this have to do with Crowley maybe dying in s3 you ask?

The one important detail in all of this is that at the end of the novel Carton heroically sacrificed himself to save his best friend and for the women he loves. He feels it gave him purpose and felt as if his life finally had meaning.

Two things here. The scene in which Carton swaps places with Darnay being able to pass as him well enough to save his life. Is very reminiscent of our Body Swap from s1. As well as the idea that in s3 this could also happen, but in the sense that Crowley does it to save Aziraphale's life. I clearly have no idea how s3 will play out.

Now I'm not saying that s3 will be as dramatic as all of this. It is still a comedy at its core. As others have touched on in meta and in nightingalecottage's post there are many little hints that point to the similarities and the idea that Crowley maybe doomed by the narrative. In a way, I personally don't think that Crowley's hypothetical death will be permanent. I just do not see that happening at all. A temporary death I could definitely see and it could also serve to show how much Crowley truly means to Aziraphale. The shock of it would maybe be similar to how Crowley thought he lost Aziraphale in s1 and could be a parallel.

In the end this is all speculation and theory. Either way the idea of it all makes me vibrate and I needed to finally share this with someone else. They wouldn't have recommended this book if there wasn't some sort of meaning here right? And its entirely possible I'm looking in the wrong direction.

Overall there are many parallels and similarities here between A Tale of Two Cities and certain parts of Good Omens, I'm sure I may have missed some and I just wanted to end this now before it gets too long. A little about me:

I am a girl from Austin, Texas trying to have a positive, minimal, and deliberate internet experience surrounded by the things I love and people with similar interests :)

I got into AoT in 5th grade at the crisp age of 10 years old (some say that's a little young, but whats done is done lmao. I had a friend who I thought was soooo cool and her older sister got her into AoT, therefore I got into AoT. I quickly became OBSESSED and even more into it then my friend. That same year me and my family had a big move to a place where I was totally new and unfamiliar. I struggled to fit in at that new place for a long time and my love for AoT only grew to make up for it. I started out as a purely Levi fan-girl (no hate to you guys I respect y'all lol) but as I got older my love for all the characters, the art, and the story as a whole only grew deeper as I waited for new chapters to release. I remember going to Barnes and Noble with my mom to get a new AoT manga if I got good grades that semester. In high school I started collecting the Funko Pops and started expanding on my collection besides just the manga with my fry cook money I was earning!

Immediately after graduating high school I married my best friend and high-school sweetheart and started a VERY big girl job which AoT probably played some part in. I'll let y'all guess what it might be. I have worked hard and now I have my own space in which I live out my nerdy little life with my husband as my Attack on Titan collection grows. I cant wait to share it!

My favorite characters are Reiner and Armin, with Mikasa in the top 3 right behind them! My favorite AOT songs are Attack on Titan and Call Your Name (GV) by Sawano Hiroyuki, as well as Under the Tree by SIM.

Non-AOT related interests:

While I do love AoT the most of all my intrests, I share my love with other things too of course!

Favorite Video Games: Super Mario Galaxy, Skyrim, Animal Crossing, Legend of Zelda (like all of them lol), Miku PROJECT DIVA mega mix, Super Mario World, and Calico.

I love to draw and do so traditionally and in procreate :) I also crochet and run!

While I love AoT I also enjoy lots of other anime and manga! Some of my favorites are Beserk, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, Neon Genisis, and Death Note! jeez..now that I read that I think I love watching anime characters try to play god lol.

Lastly, I am a huge lover of music! My dad had a huge impact on my music taste growing up and even makes his own music. My husband recently got me a Miku themed Mp3 player that I have been LOADING with all my favorite songs and albums! I also enjoy cassettes. Physical media for the win!!

I have found love in a new reality and will be planning to shift there for a very long time.

I already posted this in Red Takami's shifting discord sever in the methods channel, but I also wanted to post it here because I feel like i've been neglecting my tumblr. When I first joined shifttumblr, the inital introduction I had to it was Leydenkilgore's profile. She is a saint. Even though I have shifted before I unfortunately have fallen into a slump do to personal issues and haven't shifted as much as I use to. I also fell out of love with a lot my old dr's; Though I hope they intrest me again later in my life. Leydens post about expermenting with methods stuck out to me, as i've never really thought about doing that. I wasn't familer with any of the methods she had talked about as I just make it up as I go when I shift but from here on out I will be changing my routine. In her post she talked about watching a film that helped create a new method. I read the google doc she made and now I have a plan on a new shifting routine. (I recommend reading the google doc if you're interested it is linked in her post, which I have linked earlier in this post.)

i’m experimenting. I didn’t try and shift last night like I said I was. Last night I FINALLY decided on a reality of which I wanted to shift to. (i swear everyday I think of a new dr; i’m trying to fix that) I had this problem were I would over script for my dr’s…. and then never ending up trying shifting there because of multiple reasons; I didn’t feel the connection I felt with it when I first thought of it, or I got really motivated to script every little detail instead of actually shifting… So i’m doing something new. I’m not going to script at all for the dr I’m shifting to and just trust my subconscious. I know the general vibe of what I want and who i’ll be but other then that it’s up to the right side of my brain. I’m going to try the hypnagogic method tonight and tomorrow, then i’ll be trying the somewhere in time method for two days after that. Then after that I will be trying a combined method of both; Hypnagogic Time method. ( i have tweaked it to my liking ) I have the intention to shift with each experiment. And i’ll log my dr experiences in my journals ( that i script into all my drs ) and if I ever come back or shift to a parallel reality like this one I will share them! I am also laying down on the floor for this method because every time I go and shift laying on my hardwood floor I always shift. I don’t know what it is about it that makes me shift, but if you want to switch up your shifting routine I definitely recommend it.

I've always thought about shifting but didn't have a name for it. It was in the back of my mind since I was a kid; then it blew up on tiktok and then I started to get more into it, I just always felt that there was a possiblity of something like it; mainly because I wanted something like shifting to be real. Then, a couple years ago I did it for the first time and that made me full send into it. I mostly shifted to space dr's because space was what I was most interested in. I was huge on shows like farscape, cowboy bebop and the x-files. Before life in my or hit the fan and became really shitty, I was shifting to my space stalker dr non-stop. And then a bunch of family issues arose. And that's when the shifting slump started. I was having severe mental break-downs everyday, was extremely exhausted and just taxing to be around; I would blow up at people for the smallest things and my family would do the same to me. Thankfully, everything died down. My life gradually went back to normal, my family became safe to be around again and shifting just wasn't on my mind as much as it use to be. But now, it is. Since then, I haven't really thought about shifting to my space stalker dr but in the back of my mind a new idea popped up. I will maybe post about Lumari more, I have made one post showing the map but that's about it. I have also shifted there a couple of weeks ago but as a... guy?? Which I did not intend to do. I stayed there for a couple of days and shifted back on accident. Since then I haven't tried to shift. But I intend to tonight. ( as a girl lol ) Again I haven't made an indepth script for this dr because I do not want to lose the spark I have for it.

My plan for tonight is meditating, laying on my floor with my headphones and listenting to music that reminds me of my Kirasia reality. Then, focus on my breathing and think about slow calm moments in my reality. I have the intention to become aware of my dr while I am looking out of my bedroom gazing onto the mountains.

I've been a huge fan of Additional Memory the past few months and associated Nagito to the will stetson cover of it for some reason lately, apparently it's apart of a franchise that's tied to Kagerou Days???!? I don't know too much about it, it seems like a lot haha. Saving it for later if I ever want to get into a complicated big franchise type new thing lol. But I keep thinking of him when I listen to it even though it's not specifically his situation. The song itself and how it builds up, gets so chaotic, has a climax and then calms down with the last major intense climax representing the actual death is fitting to me. (me when i go crazy over an instrumental😭😭😭😭😭)

I also associate Identity by Kanaria for Hajime/Izuru and Dear Doppleganger by Kemu with them as well.

I tend to associate a lot of INABAKUMORI songs with Nagito Komaeda too loll the occasional somber tones, well set up sections where you require patience, and high energy beats fits a lot of his aspects of his character to me lol. Lagtrain I've associated him with for years because I think it slightly lyrically fits

Also. I cannot talk about Vocaloid without talking about Ghost and Pals when they've been on my spotify wrapped like 4 times in a row LMAOO 😭 But two of a kind also gives me an ever so slight association to Nagito. Not entirely lyrically, which is why I feel it might seem silly of me to say it, but but mostly just the INSTRUMENTAL TRULY SELLS IT. Like, the calmness, slight intensity increase, back to calm, and completely insane until the very end is just fitting to me.

As you can see the lord and savior of my mental state has been turned into a horror movie character BUT it May not be a bad thing

I myself am not really a huge fan of horror movies of any kind, latley the horror genre of any kind has been mostly focused on jumpscares and I just think thats a bit cheap since it is a natural instinct to be afraid of those, and the public domain horrors as much as i would love to not expect bad from em have mostly been the same thing, a human in a costume or mask, does murder and thats pretty much it, also ppl like to Rush these alot

Do u think where ever gonna get a magical equibalent too celestials? When i first found out about the psychic element i was jet to get into the game but i had lerned some things regarding the lore and the such.and details like how the natural elements had a ethereal equibalent,and i saw psychic as the one for fire.and sense i have this instant intrest in anything that has to do with the idea of a entety being the enbodiment of a form of energy or element i started to think of how the celestial for psychic would look and be.and then i lerned that the celeshials where each alined to a certain month and 4 extra celestials woulnt really work.so maybe somthing like a sub category like dreamthicals and mythicals or the such would work

But if we're talking in-game lore, maybe they wouldn't be Celestials per sé, but something very very close? And work in a similar fashion? Kinda like the Colossals and the Titans? And maybe they can correspond to something other than months, like. Planets or something idk.

Seconded. I may have to read this run only because it keeps botching things too terribly at this point it's hard to ignore. Most of it's the paul and mj stuff, which is just pure conentrated uggghhh and a shining example of proving the point across the spider-verse is trying to make (no spoilers for those seeing this who haven't seen it but i'd be more than willing to elaborate if asked). But this is just.. gross. Kamala dosen't have a solo or even a mini currently, and from what i heard while she was in the book didn't get to do much. The IDEA of Ms Marvel working with Spider-Man.. is kinda brilliant, as she was a relatable teenage breakout like him, is close friends with Miles, and is a huge fan of peter's. It'd be an intresting dynamic. I wasn't opposed to adding her to the book when I heard about it as , if their not going to give her an ongoing, this isn't a terrible plcae But in hindsight.. she was just put in the book to die. Wells apparently hinted to hell and back MJ would die and either he backed out as he realized even that was too far , or simply did it ON PURPOSE to do a vince russo style swerve (bro). He put a character whose breakout status is in PART due to being the first big name, a-list pakastani heroine out there, one whose culture was a part of her while still having a lot to her, in his book TO KILL HER so a WHITE GUY could feel bad. How Wells coudln't remotely see how fucking awful this comes off is beyond me, but not suprising given the MJ Debacle. I haven't even read a lot of her books. I read her solo for a bit during and post civil war II and the first two arcs of it before that, and tried the saldin amed run (then gave it up due to a stupid amnesia thing I don't want to get into. But what I read was fresh and had one of the best supporting casts in a hero book in a while, all of whom took some very intresting and suprising turns. But i've read just enough of the character to both know her well and see this as bullshit. Marvel let her be killed off.. because they can't grasp that maybe low sales aren't always a characters fault.. but because the run just didn't grab people and maybe they need to do something new. I do think she'll be back as a mutant, which granted is during their darkest hour.. but as an x-men fan and with marvel kinda not giving a shit about inhumans anymore, i'd be delighted to see her join the krakoan side of things. But the way getting there is so so dumb it hurts. Also yeah, while its a common crticisim it is VERY weird no one she actually teamed up with reguarlly, especially miles who again is the OTHER SPIDER-MAN AND WOUL DHAVE EVERY REASON TO GET INVOLVED IN PETER'S SHIT.

Spoilers for 100 yq chapter 103

Welcome to another episode of me fangirling over Lucy disguised as analysis.

This chapter is one of the most important chapters for Lucy's character development and it was brilliantly executed.

We start off with the Gemini fake out. The thing that worried fans for two weeks turned out to be Lucy's spirits looking for her. While I was pretty sure Lucy wasn't going to lose her arm knowing she was fine was a huge relief.

Then she got into Aries form. I follow the logic on that. It's the only star dress that can offer her protection against physical attacks. Also it is just me or they were intentionally putting the focus on Lucy's guildmark?

Anyways that didn't work. Kiria was able to cut through it and Lucy was about to give up.

This is where things get intresting.

Kiria says no more miracles for you. It could be just because of the translation but the way she says this implies that Lucy being saved was something someone else did for her. In reality only Lucy could have pulled it off.

It's scenes like these with Gemini that make you realise most people don't really know much about celestial spirit magic. Not only that but Lucy's magic is on another level. If you know everything Lucy can do you can predict she was capable of using Gemini or Gemini could come to help her. To people who don't know much about celestial spirit magic and the ways Lucy can use it, what happened would feel like a miracle.

The moments with Laxus were just incredible. When Lucy was about to lose hope Laxus came to her rescue. He physically saved her yes, but more than that his words gave her strength to fight.

This guy who didn't come to help his guild when phantom lord attacked them because he didn't accept Lucy as a member of fairy tail and didn't think she was someone worth protection, broke free from mind control and put himself in harms way almost on instict to save Lucy.

Lucy thought she couldn't do anything on her own. The solution to that is her realise her guild is always with her. It's your typical power of Nakama but it feels more impactful with Lucy. Because the story with her isn't she was weak but then she became OP (I mean it's kinda true but that's not the main point). Her story is she wanted some place to belong and fairy tail accepted her unconditionally and the strength she has now is because of their support.

Lucy is at her strongest when she is fighting to protect someone else.

Do you understand how incredible this moment is? Lucy summoned a spirit to look after Laxus as she was about to do a spell that required three people. Summoning a spirit and keeping their gate open requires magical energy. Virgo said Lucy can maintain her new SD for only sixteen seconds and Lucy said that's all she needed. This shows she calculated how much time and energy she needed to defeat Kiria and made her moves accordingly.

Kiria could slash through anything so Lucy let her. She let Kiria slash at water in confusion while she chanted her spell. Because all she needed was time. She was strong yes but more than anything she was smart. She's the jack of all trades character who uses her power smartly to overpower enemies far stronger than her.

Lucy doesn't have the magical power to do Gottfried by herself so she figured out a way to increase her power and do the spell with other celestial wizards without actually having anyone else there. She had done spells with Gemini before but they aren't here right now. In that moment the only person present there is Lucy. She is just using her magical smartly.

And finally we have this.

That smile is so important.

This fight was very similar to her fight with Mimi. There were two main difference. First is Mimi realised she shouldn't underestimate Lucy, Kiria didn't. Second is, with Mimi even after Urano metria Lucy wasn't sure she had won. Here she knows. She's not even looking at Kiria she just knows she has won. In fact she knew she would win even before she summoned Virgo.

This fight is the perfect mix of last minute power up through power of friendship and a character winning the fight before it even begins because they were prepared and planned according.

One of the things I love about Lucy as a character is that losing is a real possibility for her. Which is why when she uses her head and wins it feels so much more impactful.

Going for Baroque:

Yesterday (July 14th, 2022) a fan translation patch for a PSX game titled Baroque- Yuganda Musou has been released; this is a fan translation I was very excited for, because I actually really like the remake of the game, which was released for PS2 and Wii in 2008 and simply titled Baroque. I thought that a great way to get my blog legs back would be to talk about my thoughts as I go through both versions. Now, there are technically four versions of Baroque: the original, on Sega Saturn, released in 1998; an enhanced port for PSX the following year, in 1999; and then the PS2 and Wii versions, both released in 2007 in Japan, and in 2008 in North America. For the duration of this series of posts, I will be playing Plisskin's translation of the PSX version, and the official North American localization of the Wii version. For transparency I'll also say I'm emulating both games; I'll be using DuckStation for the PSX version, and Dolphin for the Wii version. I will be referring to each version henceforth as [the] Original and [the] Remake. For sources, I'll mostly be playing by ear, but I'll also be consulting THE NERVE TOWER, a site that was, for a very long time, the only real resource for English speakers about the original game. I'll do my best to cite NERVE TOWER whenever applicable and appropriate, with hyperlinks. Any video I use will of course be hyperlinked rather than embedded directly, so you can just click the link and see where I got the video I want to get a few huge, obvious changes that cover the entirety of the game out of the way first: The biggest things that differentiate Original from Remake are the graphics, the art style, and the fact that Original is played from a first person perspective, whereas Remake is played from a third person perspective. Now, I have seen some people complain about Remake's art style, saying that it doesn't hold the same tension as Original's art style, which is... as realistic as Saturn/PSX graphics were going to get at the time, opting for simplistic 3D geometry, with detailed textures and sprites doing the legwork. Those sprites are in fact, completely gorgeous, please do check out NERVE TOWER and take a look yourself. Meanwhile, Remake opts not only for full 3D, but also adopts somewhat controversially an anime art style. Now, Original's art style did stray into anime territory, I think that's true beyond any doubt, but this is far less noticeable if you don't take a look at the concept; meanwhile, Remake is far more overt in its artistic stylings, which can be seen clear as day in the game's cinematic intro, and which contrasts pretty greatly with the PSX version's intro. Laying my cards on the table here, while I do agree that generally speaking the Original's graphics and art style are much better at conveying horror, I would be lying if I didn't say that Remake's style makes me nostalgic for when I was an edgy teenager discovering anime for the first time Before I wrap up this inagural post I want to share some cool stuff, specifically, art. Video games, as anyone who found this blog is likely to know, are chock full of art; concept art, character art, promotional art, etc etc. Well, after the Baroque remake came out, every year Sting (the game's developer) puts out a special, limited time wallpaper on the remake's website, on May 14th, a reference to an event that happened in Baroque's universe on May 14th, 2032. I missed this year's, which I'm actually really upset about, because this year is ten years until then, and the art is always intresting I want to show off some of these pieces from previous years, though:

thinks it's so interesting if you make kandi with can tabs or toys, or just general jewelry with stuff you find in the house. he admires all the creativity that goes into your projects

if you make clothes/masks with beads he is always so proud of you and the results, even if they're not as expected. he voices that very loudly; you're his 606, of course he's proud of your work!

if saeyoung has a lot of agency work, and you have unfinished projects, his favorite thing is both of you working in silence on your own projects, just enjoying the others presence. you being around always helps him focus and if its the same for you, he's more than happy to sit with you while you work

LOVES your music taste, especially if it's more electro

if you make him anything, jewelry or otherwise, he will 100% tear up and wear/use/show it off forever. he adores whatever you give him, regardless of what it is.

YOOSUNG KIM:

100% steals your clothes

kind of copies some of your jackets and hoodies, putting his own patches in similar places so you match (though if you do it for him he will never take it off. he's terrified of your work getting messed up if he does, so it's definitely a hassle cleaning it)

his apartment's not all that big, so you both manage to do your own things or work together on projects in his bedroom. when it's not being used, he'll let you stack bead boxes and supplies on his PC (though they will quickly get ((gently)) discarded to the floor when he decides its LOLOL time)

more a fan of "quieter" scene music, though he can absolutely get behind some hyperpop or nightcore

if you make him anything (and i mean anything) he will cry, on the spot, and keep it forever. if it breaks, or tears, he'll put it on his desk and refuse to touch it until you can fix it (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) poor boy feels awful even if its just string snapping from being worn too much

definitely tries his hand at Kandi making for a few months and ultimately lets it fade out like the majority of his intrests

JUMIN HAN:

not a giant fan of the music but he admires the effort you put into your projects

will beg you and beg you to make Elizabeth accessories, and after that it's

"well, she can't be alone, we should have matching bracelets - and colar, in her case - with Elizabeth. ....we should have matching ones, can we have matching ones (Y/N)?"

he will wear it everywhere and shows it to his dad all excited once you make them

"look at what my lovely (husband/wife/spouse) made us, they're very talented. Elizabeth has one too."

always adores anything you give him, no matter how small; it's still a gift, and he cherishes them

gives you a whole room in the penthouse for your work!

he sets it up while you're off with Jaehee or another RFA member, making sure to add posters from your favorite games/shows/movies/ext. he blows so much money on the set-up and is so pleased with himself when he gets your reaction

always makes an effort to resupply anything you're running low on, asked or not.

if you diy any clothes for him he will wear them out, reputation be damned

tries getting you to sell (or at least promote, c'mon y/n) your work at the RFA Parties with V's pictures

has never seen an episode of Invader Zim in his life, probably never will unless you ask, but he thinks gir is cute.

JAEHEE KANG:

like seven, enjoys the more electro side of your music tastes

if you diy her any clothes, those are now her favorite home/sleep clothes

same with jewelry, though she'll find a way to incorporate those into her work outfits so she can subtly show them off

just like the others, admires all of your work every single time. kandi single? "that's so nice, (Y/N)! I love the colors" kandi cuff? "that's very impressive! i like the patterns :)" necklace with a toy connected? pearler? your spin on toy jewelry from a game you had as a kid? doesn't matter, she looks at all of your projects as a whole play of their own. she loves hearing the inspiration behind each peace

her favorite peaces are the ones where your spiel of inspiration is something really simple, like "haha i thought this would look funky, so i made it!" like- that little bit of thought made *this*? she's amazed.

if you make pearlers or things of that nature, and give some to her, she *will* put that on her lanyard. she will find a way.

ZEN/HYUN RYU:

god please make him something, little as it may be, he will never take it off

he has more sense than Yoo if it's clothes, though. just "be careful, (y/n), i know you know how to do it but be careful i really like that one—"

gets all flustered the first few times you give him something you made. some part of his brain cant wrap itself around the fact not only is he with such a wonderful creative person but you're using that creativity on him, he's honored

if you send him anything revolving around "rawr, i love you in dinosaur!! x3" he will seriously start saying Rawr. he wants to tell you he loves you in any way he can, wether that be in korean, english, or dinosaur, he's doing it

he'll humor all of your music, from the most whitenoise sounding hyperpop to stuff like Hollywood Undead. more a fan of nightcore/daycore though

if you make/give him any bracelets he absolutely wears them when he's acting, modeling, performing, exct if he can. he loves showing off your work :)
