Hello my spiritual mutual! Hope you're having a great day and other such pleasantries.
Anyways. I'm here to say something.
You are all over this fandom I swear it's insane! Like I was reading fanfic last night and every once in a while I'd go into the comments to see what people were saying and I saw you on every other fic I read. I saw like two separate fics where they were like "Thanks to my wonderful beta reader" and then credited you and I had to put my phone down because WOW do you apparently appear all over this fandom.
omg.... i do try to comment on most of the fics i read unless i'm like wildly exhausted, but i feel like i don't read thaaat much isat fic, just bc im busy doing other things... but ig the fandom is small enough that that's still a notable chunk of the fics! or maybe we just have similar taste or see the same recs crossing our dashboards. :0
i do love to beta!!! a couple months ago i made a post offering to beta for people and did a couple fics. i haven't made another post about it just bc i've got so many of my own fics i'm working on but i do loove polishing prose it's my favorite part of writing. betaing to me is like.. skipping to dessert... like if i wanna decide what's on the table i gotta cook it all myself (write my own fic) but if i just want a fun little treat that's betaing. ^^
actually. now that i mention my penchants for commenting and betaing next to each other. they're probably related? i simply looove to explain my thoughts opinions advice and reactions! as one might notice from my long headcanon posts, constant tag rambling, response to this ask, etc! plus i try to prioritize encouraging the creation of art i enjoy - as an artist and writer i treasure every ao3 comment and tag compliment, and i'm grateful to everyone who helped me refine my crafts, and i so highly value the collaborative environment of fandom where we all inspire each other!!!
#ngl after yearning to be a tumblr bnf throughout my teenagerhood this ask warms my heart#but mostly#isat fandom is the perfect size where there's plenty of fan content#but you also can get to recognize a lot of the active/prolific fans whether or not they're 'popular'!#very cozy fandom. but not cramped. but cozy :3#silverstarschat

Misfits - Chapter 3
Fandom: Star Wars - Clone Wars / The Bad Batch Pairing: The Bad Batch / Reader (Polyamorous) Rating: M (Rating May Change) Tags: Polyamorous Relationship, Force-Sensitive Reader, Slow Burn
Work Summary: After a year working with the 501st, you've been assigned a new post - Clone Force 99, aka the Bad Batch. You're concerned about the transition - you found it hard enough to fit in with the 501st, and now you had to acclimate to an entirely new squad. As it turns out, the Bad Batch is very accommodating.
Chapter Summary: Hunter insists that you nap on the way to Kamino.
read it on ao3 | start from ch 1 | or read more below
“Get some sleep. It’ll be a while until we reach Kamino.”
Hunter gestured towards a bunk that you could tell was well used. You worried the inside of your lip, considering the offer.
This ship was a far cry from the accommodations you were used to. It reminded you more of quarters you once shared with a pirate crew – cramped, but cozy.
You didn’t mind it, per say… but it wasn’t what you were used to. On the Resolute, you had your own quarters, completely separate from the rest of the clones. It had been both a blessing and a curse – it afforded you some privacy, being the only female Captain, and working with a majority of clones who had never experienced such direct contact with a woman. It was honestly tiring dealing with their staring – which wasn’t even a majority sexual, honestly. They were just curious about you, and while you didn’t blame them, that didn’t mean you wanted eyes on you while you were just trying to get some rest.
The Bad Batch didn’t seem to be quite as bad as the 501st, and you suspected that perhaps because they were a smaller, elite squad, they had encountered women in different environments than just a club full of clone chasers like 79’s. You could feel Wrecker’s eyes on you half the time, and his curiosity reminded you the most of the 501st’s own sneaking glancing. You also caught Tech looking a few times as you set your meagre belongings in the cargo area – he had seemed flustered and turned away, datapad in hand. You had no idea what his fascination with you was, but you assumed you would find out soon enough. It was almost cute seeing how you flustered him, if only because your own men – or, former men – had grown so used to your presence that they had gotten harder to fluster.
But then, there was Hunter and Echo, who both reminded you of Rex. Rex hadn’t been bothered with your gender if only because he had worked so much with Ahsoka the years prior. You didn’t know who Hunter had worked with that made him so comfortable with you, nor Echo, but you were glad that at least your gender wasn’t causing any more awkward tension than it should. You felt strange enough barging into Hunter’s team, where you technically outranked him as a Captain, but knew about as much as a shiny when it came to this squad.
At least everyone was better than Crosshair, who avoided you like a bad smell. He obviously had some kind of a stick up his ass.
But that was besides the point – the real question was: did you trust these men enough to sleep out in the open like this? You didn’t think they would hurt you, or anything quite so dangerous, but you did value your privacy. And it seemed strange to sleep in their communal space while you still felt like an outsider. That was far too… intimate for your liking.
“I’m fine,” you tried to respond to Hunter’s offer with a polite smile and a nod. You didn’t want your refusal to read as rude – you just didn’t want to open yourself up to something so intimate as sleeping in another clone’s bed, even if it was simply a matter of convenience. You didn’t doubt that the clones crashed in whichever bunk was available – the blankets on the bottom two looked more worn than the top, which alluded to the fact that they shared these.
You denied the offer, even though you were tired. You hadn’t slept since the Resolute had returned to Coruscant, and the fatigue was wearing on you. But you were a force sensitive. You could draw energy that way, you hoped. And maybe with an extra cup of caf from the small galley on the ship.
Hunter frowned at you. It wasn’t that he was outright offended by your refusal – he looked exasperated instead.
“I know you’re tired. Rest. We don’t have private rooms like on the star cruisers you’re used to, but it’s safe.”
Your eyes widened, and you shook your head. “No, I- I didn’t mean-“
“I know. I know we don’t have much,” Hunter shrugged, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms. “But it’s what we’ve got. Took Echo some time to get used to. I don’t blame you.”
You sighed, remembering Echo. Hunter’s looking at you and seeing Echo – another 501st member adjusting to a new place. And, he’s right, to an extent. Maybe you’re overthinking things. The Bad Batch has been nothing but kind to you so far.
“I’m sorry,” you shook your head. “You’re right. It’s different from the 501st. Over there, I had a private Captain’s room. And here-“
“You’re right in it,” Hunter finished. You nodded, sighing. Hunter nodded at you, understanding, before he continued.
“Ain’t no use in separation here. Each member here was selected for a purpose, and each is an expert in that field. I’m a superior in name only – I’m more like a coordinator, if I’m completely honest,” Hunter admitted, and you breathed a sigh of relief.
“So, you guys operate more like pirates or something than an actual military unit?” you asked, with a raised eyebrow and a little quirk of a smile. Hunter shrugged, making a little noncommittal noise.
“I’ve never worked with pirates, but maybe.”
You laughed, relaxing. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad, taking a nap in the open. After all, you were going to be working with these men for the foreseeable future. You had to learn to trust them, and if there were any issues with boundaries, you would work it out. It would be fine, especially if the crew operated the way Hunter said they did – you understood that structure far more than you did military hierarchies of command.
“Thank you, Hunter,” you patted his shoulder gently, well aware of the armor that covered it. “If you don’t mind, I think I will take that nap. Maybe up there, though.”
You gestured to one of the top bunks, and Hunter even cracked a smile himself.
“High ground. Good choice.”
You shared a smile, shaking your head at him as he clapped you on the back and made his exit towards the cockpit.
His touch left you warm, even thought it was friendly, the sort of thing the clones took part in all the time. You kind of hated the way your cheeks flushed as you hopped on the bunk, untying your boots and kicking them to the floor, discarding your jacket and what little armor you had (shoulder plates and forearm guards, really) at the end of the bunk.
Not only was the Bad Batch different from the other clones in terms of their operation style – casual, bound by trust rather than duty – they were also different from other clones in certain physical aspects. Hunter’s hair, in particular, caught your eye far more often than it should in a professional sense, even as you tried to ignore it. And that little smile he just gave you –
No. No, you couldn’t do this. You had to work with Hunter, and if something happened between the two of you, you couldn’t count on the fact that you both would be able to remain professional.
You wrapped the blankets around you in a little cocoon as you tried to talk yourself down from all of this. It had been easier with the 501st. Those degrees of separation prevented you from forming those attachments. But here – this wasn’t a military structure. This was a team, a crew. You couldn’t get away from these men – for kark’s sake, they all shared these bunks.
The bunks, including the one you were occupying. They were homey – the blankets wrapped around you were plentiful. A couple were standard issue – you recognized the distinctive Republic insignia emblazoned on them. But some were clearly handmade. There were scraps of fabric entwined, one around another, weaving together to make a sturdy blanket. Another looked to be a quilt, hardy and thick, made to withstand the chill of space travel.
You were enveloped in them, completely cocooned, and you were already starting to warm up again despite the absence of your jacket. You tried to turn your brain off, for just a moment, and relax into the softness of the blankets, into the homey little bunk. The Bad Batch had obviously taken care to make their beds cozy and warm, and you appreciated it – it spoke to how they valued their space, their comfort. It was nice.
You started to drift off, and you couldn’t help but notice that even the blankets smelled nice. Not from a fresh wash, necessarily – no, it smelled more like it was pleasantly lived in. But didn’t it seem like the bottom bunks were the most used by the Batch?
Maybe this was Hunter’s bunk, you considered with a little smile, curling in on yourself. Hadn’t he mentioned the high ground? You imagined that a veteran officer like Hunter might care about things like that – about being able to get a jump on anyone trying to disturb his sleep. He would feel safer up here, like you did. The way this bunk was angled, there was a good view of the outside hatch, so Hunter would be able to see anyone trying to enter the ship.
Maybe it smelled like him, then. You could imagine him wrapped in these blankets too, maybe ones that thankful civilians gave him for his help.
You had told yourself you didn’t want to get attached, but as you drifted off into a light slumber, you couldn’t stop the visions that danced behind your eyes – Hunter in the bunk with you, his broad chest pressed to your back, his arms wrapped around your waist. If he snuggled too close to your shoulder, his hair would tickle your jaw. Maybe he would tell you the stories of the blankets wrapped around the both of you – his fingers tracing over yours as you thumbed over the handmade details, as his low voice hummed in your ear.
You drifted to sleep thinking of him, the thrum of his voice, rough hands against yours. And if those thoughts spilled over into your dreams – that was only for you to know.

NSFW SCENARIO REQUEST: ❝a tad tipsy.❞
[ Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia ] [ Characters: Todoroki Shouto]
「Class 1-A throws a party of their own to celebrate their upcoming graduation. A lot of alcohol consumption ensues.」 [ NSFW under the cut! ]
TODOROKI SHOUTO
“This is so not safe.” you muttered to yourself, staring at the drink you had in your hands. Ashido slung an arm around your shoulders, laughing loudly with flushed cheeks. She was definitely drunk after drinking some Soju and Sake which were brought in by Kaminari and herself. You found yourself grimacing at the taste of alcohol on your tongue.
“Don’t be such a chicken, [First Name]! It actually tastes like fruit punch! But this has alcohol in it.” the pink skinned female slurred a little. You remained silent, slowly guiding your classmate to the couch of the dorm room. The female had already dozed off, mumbling incoherent things under her breath as you placed a blanket over her body.
“I’m not being a chicken. It’s just that too much alcohol isn’t good for you.” you mumbled.
It was your third year in UA and graduation is right around the corner. Because of that, some proposed a party―even though there’s going to be a graduation party held by the school. You assumed that the main reason this party was being held was because they wanted a more informal and free party. And now, you found yourself seated on the couch, watching Kaminari and Jirou fight over what music should be played.
After a few drinks with your friends, you decided that it was time for you to go to sleep. Just before you could retreat to your cozy dorm room, you were dragged by a drunk Uraraka to play 7 minutes in heaven or something like that. You had to admit that you’re starting to get a little tipsy. Sometimes, you would space out and stare at nothing for minutes until someone called out to you or nudged you. Maybe you had a little bit too much to drink.
“Up first isssss.....[First Name] and Todoroki! Now go in, go in!” Hagakure cheered out loud, waving her arms around as she pulled you up and pushed you towards the closet. Kaminari did the same to Todoroki who willingly let himself be dragged across the room and into the supply’s closet.
“What do you mean I’m first? I thought we’re choosing it randomly by picking lots.” you complained as the invisible girl swung open the door that led into the dimly lit closet. She shushed you and patted your back, encouraging you to go in.
“We did! But you weren’t listening because you were drunk.”
“I’m not drunk.” you protested, slurring a little despite maintaining your stoic facade. That was probably a lie. At this point, you couldn't even tell if you were drunk or not. But, you refused to admit that the alcohol had gotten better of you
“Your face and behavior says otherwise.” Hagakure pushed you in, followed by Kaminari who unceremoniously shoved Todoroki in afterwards. The door shut behind you and you heard a click from the outside.
Your breathing and his were the only sound inside this cramped space filled with cleaning supplies. You were convinced that if you stopped breathing, the sound of your beating heart will overtake the silence. It wasn’t the alcohol at work. But it was because you’re standing inside a cramped closet with one of the most--might you say--handsome boy in your class. In addition, there was almost no space between the two of you. You could see his feet next to yours and his body pressing against yours lightly. He has this natural warmth that drew you in and you wanted nothing more to just enjoy it.
In this dimly lit closet, you could face make out Todoroki’s features. Only able to make out the outline of his face, hair and the color of his clothing. The rest, was only a blur. You hadn’t seem him that much during the party and you had been a little bit busy dealing with your drunk friends.
“Did I tell you how pretty you are, [First Name]?”
Okay? That was really random. He must be much more drunk than you are. At least, you were sober enough to be aware of your surroundings and thoughts.
“Aren’t you, like, homosexual or something like that?”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“No, I’m not. Do you need proof that I’m not?” Todoroki questioned, using his two fingers to tilt your chin upwards. You didn’t trust your voice at that time, only giving him a nod as a response. He brushed his lips against yours as a signal before harshly pressing his lips against yours. The sound outside suddenly became non existent and all you could sense was the feeling of his lips melding against yours and his wandering hands that began to slip underneath your shirt.
A soft gasp escaped your lips when you felt him cup your breasts over your bra. As soon as you were aware of his intentions, you attempted to pull away but only to have his free hand tangle itself in your hair, pulling on it lightly. He let out a groan, his right hand slowly caressing your nipple as he swallowed your moans. You instinctively moved closer to him feeling the bulge from Todoroki’s pants pressing against your thighs.
“Todoroki....? What are you doing?” you moaned softly when he spread your legs apart, rubbing his erection right onto your clothed clit. He ignored your words and his hands continued to roam your thighs, feeling the soft soft underneath your skirt. The male kept pushing himself harder into you while holding onto your cheeks, kissing you deeply. He pushed his tongue inside as you let your hand roam underneath his shirt.
Todoroki’s right hand moved south, slipping through your panties as his two fingers rubbed along the slit of your womanhood, a high-pitched squeak coming from your lips as they slowly entered you and pumped into your heat at a slow pace. He captured your lips again to muffle your moans. Just as he was about to take things further, he heard the sound of approaching footsteps. The male quickly pulled away and fixed your clothes.
“3....”
“2....”
“1.....!”
“Time’s up, you two! Stop whatever indecent things.....you were doing.....” Much to the girls’ disappointment, the two of you were seated across each other. Hagakure and Uraraka flashed you a pout once they noticed that you both appeared to be sitting like nothing happened.
“Booo, you guys are no fun!” Hagakure whined as Todoroki took you by your hand and led you out of the closet.
“You two should head back to your rooms before they bring out another bottle. Both of you drank a little bit too much, I’m afraid.” Yaoyorozu glanced at the two of you worriedly.
“Yeah, we’ll do just that then.” Todoroki sent a smirk at your direction.

“I can already predict what the Captain’s gonna say to me when I tell him I’ve solved the case,” Jake grinned as he perched on the edge of your desk, slamming his case file down. He lowered his voice and sat up straighter as he said, “‘I’m proud of you, son.’”
“You just won’t let that go, huh?” you smirked, your chin in your hand as you scrolled through your computer with your other hand, not looking up. Ever since the Captain had called Jake ‘son’, no one in the precinct had heard the end of it.
“Well of course not.” Jake shot you an incredulous look, before registering your dismal expression. Jake quickly reached over and grabbed Charles’ chair as Charles stood up to reach for something on the other side of his desk and pulled it up next to you. As Charles leaned back and crashed onto the floor, Jake asked, “What’s up, y/n?”
“You should really give Charles his chair back.” you replied as Charles cried out loudly in pain, and Jake rolled his eyes as he reluctantly got up and rolled the chair back to Charles.
“Sorry I took your chair, Charles.” Jake grumbled, grabbing Amy’s chair instead after she had gotten up to go into the Captain’s office. He sat next to you again, lightly kicking you with his foot. “Come on, y/n, why are you so grumpy?”
“Where’s my chair?” Amy exclaimed, putting her hands on her hips as she walked back out of the Captain’s office and scanned the room.
“Uh, I’m definitely not sitting on it.” Jake replied, and Amy rolled her eyes before marching over to him and roughly shoving him off the chair. She rolled the chair back to your desk as Jake sighed loudly. Sitting on the floor, he tugged at your jeans as he continued, “You can’t ignore me forever, y/n.”
“Jake, I’m serious.” you snapped, rolling the chair away from him. “I’m about to go work in the interrogation room if you keep pestering me.”
“Then I’ll just watch you from the one way mirror.” Jake replied, and you wrinkled your nose. “Okay, that sounded creepier than I intended.”
“Jake, leave.” you pointed back to his desk, but Jake suddenly ducked under your desk as you reached down to grab him. “Come on!”
“You should join me down here, y/n, it’s actually kinda cozy.” Jake’s voice echoed from under your desk, and you groaned loudly as you bent down. Jake had curled up in one corner, and gestured for you to sit next to him.
“Will you leave afterwards?” you glared at him, and Jake nodded. Sighing in defeat, you crawled in besides him, hugging your knees to your chest.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” Jake said, his voice filled with genuine concern. You took a deep breath, brushing your hair out of your face before finally talking.
“I just don’t know if I’m cut out for police work.” you confessed, and Jake gasped.
“y/n, how dare you doubt yourself.” Jake looked at you sternly. “You are a great detective, and you know it!”
“Then why haven’t I solved a case in months?” you snapped, and Jake pressed his lips together. You paused, giving him an apologetic look as you added, “Sorry. I-I guess I’m just stressed, that’s all.”
“No biggie.” Jake shrugged, nudging you with his arm. “Things will work out, y/n, it doesn’t matter how long it takes to solve a case. I mean, look at me. I still haven’t caught Doug Judy, and how long have I been chasing him?”
“Honestly, I think you need to give up on that.” you smiled slightly, and Jake grinned at the sight of your spirits being lifted. “I thought I had a really good lead today, but it ended up being another dead end.”
“Well, you’ll just need to find another lead then.” Jake encouraged you. “I’ll help you. With my looks and brains, and your… whatever, we’ll be able to solve anything.”
“Your ‘looks and brains’?” you snickered, and Jake shoved you. “Hey, hey! Don’t push me, it’s cramped in here.”
“This should be our secret cave.” Jake suddenly piped up excitedly, and you laughed. “We should call it… The Peralta Cave.”
“Why is it named after you? It’s under my desk.” you shook your head. “Anyway, it’s in the middle of the precinct, Jake. Not very secret.”
“Yes, especially since everyone can hear what you’re saying.” a low voice suddenly spoke, and you and Jake’s eyes widened in alarm before the both of you scrambled out to see Holt standing above you. “What are the two of you doing down there?”
“Jake’s just trying to comfort me.” you shrugged sheepishly, and Holt raised his eyebrows. “Sorry, Captain, I’m just having a rough day.”
“Well, I was about to talk to you about a lead in your case file.” Holt gestured to your desk, where multiple papers were strewn over the surface. “You said you reached a dead end, but I think there’s actually something we can work with. Since you and Peralta are already here, I’m assigning the both of you to check it out further.”
Your eyes widened in surprise, and you nodded quickly as Jake silently pumped his fist into the air. “Right! We’ll get going now.”
You grabbed your jacket as Jake rushed to his desk to grab his, and he excitedly punched your arm as the two of you got into the elevator.
“See?” he grinned. “I told you things would work out.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you smiled as you stuffed your hands into your pockets. “I guess they did.”
