When ppl will create a "curvy" girl character and get pretty much the whole body's proportions right, obviously they're putting emphasis on bust/hips but it seems like it's being executed well--- except that they completely, fully, and deliberately, skip the stomach entirely. I have an angsty idea (just a bit angsty) with Ballister and Ambrosius having Rose. Like, Ballister’s mother died bringing him into the world, and the same thing almost happened to Ambrosius.

I'm also bringing the "Ambrosius is bad at remembering his allergies" headcanon into this and he did know that his family has a history of complications with this stuff and so ever since they invented the technology no one in the Goldenloin line has ever had a natural birth and all that but he absolutely forgets to tell Ballister until way after (ADHD and baby brain).

Like, Ballister hears that from the nurses, and when Ambrosius wakes up, he's like, "Am, is there something you maybe forgot to tell me? Like how your family has a history of complications?" And instead of being sheepish or sorry, he's like ".... OH SHIT! THAT'S WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU!"

Like, his got fluids and a bunch of wires attached to him, pale and exhausted even though he was out for about a week and he's looking at Ballister with the most innocent expression of "Oops, I forgot".

If you’ve ever had butter mochi cake, this is almost identical, with the addition of swirled ube and pumpkin flavors—and it’s delicious. I love butter mochi, I love pumpkin, and I love ube, so this is just a combination of things I happen to like anyway.

Now, mine is not the most appetizing looking, sort of orange brown swirled with grayish brown, but that just comes down to the fact that my vanilla extract is brown, my ube extract is clear rather than the vibrant purple you sometimes get with ube extract, and I didn’t want to add as much food coloring as it would take to get the bright purple and orange swirls you see in the photo in the cookbook. But that’s okay! It still tastes good.

Also:

1. I made this almost a month and a half ago, and while the recipe says it makes ten servings, I ended up cutting it into about thirty inch and a half squares. It’s fairly rich.

2. Turns out that this freezes pretty well. I ended up freezing most of it, and take a square or two out when I want a treat. Thawing it in the microwave after freezing it does slightly change the texture from the chewier mochi to something more like bread pudding, but it still tastes fine.

3. Pan fry a square of this (you can use a little butter or cooking spray), heating each side until it’s a little crispy and caramelized, and then top it with a little ice cream, crème anglais, or whipped cream. Do it.

Like I know a lot of scientists aren't actually atheist or agnostic, but it's about the way of studying and understanding the world - magic and godhood feels like a cheap cheat-code, a jump over everything important instead of a proper step by step process of unveiling the truth. Because in science the road is as important as the destination.

Hey y'all! Does anyone have a link to somewhere I can compare the ingredients of the new Moderna and Pfizer boosters? All the articles I'm finding are along the lines of "no, it won't change your DNA", and are unhelpful for "does this contain acetic acid*"/allergy purposes I know the Moderna bivalent booster did contain acetic acid, and I had a severe-but-not-requiring-hospitalization allergic reaction to it, and I'm trying to figure out if I should go with Moderna again this time (pros: did not end up in the hospital. cons: did have a pretty severe allergic reaction) or try Pfizer (pros: have not reacted to it yet! cons: have not tried it yet, could be mega-allergic) Edit: Thanks everybody! It looks like the Pfizer booster does not contain acetic acid, so I will probably go with that one. I still might be allergic to something else in it, but at least I won't be deliberately injected with something I know I am allergic to?

*I know it's weird, but I am allergic to acetic acid. It might be a mast cell degranulation trigger rather than a true IgE-mediated allergic reaction, but calling it an allergy is shorter and requires less explanation (every time I mention my vinegar allergy I get someone in the notes saying it can't be a true allergy, so I guess I should say calling it an allergy is shorter everywhere but tumblr lol)
