       Christmas holidays used to always bring many people around the Porter’s house. Kit would be the most missed one. Bette knew that she had to be the adult now, even when she missed her own parents. Last year had been rough, it had been just the two of them with Angie, but this year, with Tina around - with her fiancée, they’ve decided to come all together. Like a sort of family celebration. My ass. Bette was only pretending for Angelica, and she could pretend she was perfectly fine for a night right ? Though Bette was a very bad liar. She grinned and joked, but she felt still awkward and uncomfortable. Seeing the one person that belonged to her with someone else, it didn’t feel right. 

So Bette excused herself to go to the bathroom. Fresh water would do fine to her with her menopausal state lately. On her way back, she stopped in her track, Tina waiting by the door, only she realized where they were standing. A branch of mistletoe above their heads.      “Hey.”      Awkward. Heartbeat increased and she felt like a teen all over again. She looked up at the plant once more, and tilted her head.     “It’s... a very old tradition. We don’t have to.”

FAVORITE FCS TO PLAY:  i’m literally down to apply and play any fc to any character. especially original characters, i love taking the time to really search for the perfect f e a u t u r e s an fc shares with a character. but, if i had to pick, i’d say i’m generally more inclined to female fcs. 

FAVORITE SHIP YOU’VE EVER HAD: all ships are my favorite ships. i will not ship it unless i absolutely love the chemistry between two characters. but with that being said, a f e w of my all time favorites are, of course, the relationship between faith lehane and @defenestratio ‘s alana bloom-- in literally every and any verse. honestly, if you’ve so much as even glance at my blog, or at my last active blog that’s now archived, you’d see that it’s a total given. kat has given me the best opportunity to shape and mold and twist faith lehane in ways i never thought possible so i’m forever grateful for that. also shoutout to @thegirlwiththebuffytattoo ‘s arcadia for the love/hate ship with both faith lehane and my oc spencer carlin. and i could never forget the magical ship that was wolfdetective with @atomgun ‘s beth child which still, to this day, holds a special place in my heart. 

FAVORITE FANDOM YOU’VE BEEN IN:  btvs. honest to god. i know that makes me seem a little biased but there’s a reason why i’ve stuck with faith for so dang long. even though the show ended almost ten years ago, the thriving fandom keeps it alive. i love that. i love how big of an impact it still has on writers, people, and roleplayers alike. 

FAVORITE SONG TO GIVE YOU MUSE:  i can confirm that anything by knuckle puck or real friends gives me hella faith muse.

LEAST FAVORITE FCS TO PLAY/PLAY AGAINST:  man, i’m not picky. why do i see more people than not judging a character by it’s fc than their background/bios/stats ????

LEAST FAVORITE RP EXPERIENCE:  exclusive rpgs. to me, they’re such toxic environments. 

LEAST FAVORITE GENRE OF WRITING:  i love any and all genres. however, i will say, i enjoy writing horror (all aspects including thriller, action, suspense) the most. 

LEAST FAVORITE FANDOM YOU’VE BEEN IN:  every fandom has its pros and cons. even my favorite. and i can’t say i’ve had such a negative experience from one that turned me completely off-- so.

The TARDIS arrives to retrieve someone from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it isn't the Doctor's. Meanwhile the Doctor continues searching within her TARDIS for her companions while Rey meditates, reaching out mentally to the other survivor of the Star Wars universe. Doc and Marty find refuge in 1885, over 100 years before the antimatter wave is to hit them. A brief glimpse into the Ghostbusters ATC universe sees Patty and Erin arriving back at the station to see their team shifting in reality with the Ghostbusters of another universe. In the L-verse, Alice, Bette, and Shane find themselves transported to a place representing one of their most somber moments by Jenny while Kit finds herself trapped in a place called Sanctuary where the man apparently responsible has taken her. In the Night Court universe, Christine is visited by someone ready to transport her out of there as the antimatter wave approaches.

The antimatter wave approaches numerous universes as the red skies threaten overhead in all of them. In the L-verse, Tina calls Bette from New York to let her know that the threat is everywhere while Finley heads to the MCC in the midst of chaos weather. Mazikeen of Arrowverse Earth-666 retrieves an Angel from Hell and her guarded human. The end approaches the GLOW-verse with one of the wrestler/actresses being summoned by Harbinger. For the first time Bette had brought back someone at home. She had expected the woman to flee during the night, but she found her in the sheets hours later.      “Angelica is off to school, but I am certain she noticed your car in the driveway.”

          Standing by the front door with a flowerpot with a green plant in it, she sighed, feeling annoyed and ridiculous at the same time. Also anxious, shifting from one foot to the other, she pressed her finger against the ringing bell button. That wasn't her thing at all, she could have brought cookies, it would have felt the same, a desperate housewife... more like a desperate ex-wife. She was only hoping that Carrie didn't arrive days earlier, because she really didn't want to face Tina's new wife all over again. No, really. It was for the best. Steps were heard behind the door, a sigh of relief was delivered when a blond head appeared, her heart light all of a sudden. Bette grinned, she lost her manners, feeling guidy - fuck, fuck, fuck -   ' Hey, '   she held the pot out for Tina,    ' I hope I'm not bothering you... I was...'     No she wasn't in the neighborhood.     ' I thought you might like it, found it on the market this morning.'     Awkward. Why couldn't she lie like a normal person ?     ' Could go well in your new house. Mostly a welcome gift back in town, Tee, nothing more. '

A light scoff escaped her lips, brow quirked in the woman’s direction.     “ Or you’re talking about the world ? then yes, we should try to change the world for a better place, but here we are. ”    She trailed off taking a sip of her coffee, eyes looking back at her above her drink.     “ Happiness ? Is that this ? Honestly I suck with riddles, and you better give me the answer because I’m very competitive. I need to know. ”

Hips swinging slowly through the crowd, like a predator Bette finally found her prey. Blonde, middle-aged, and an undeniable classical beauty. Taking her own glass, she made her way by the counter bar, head tilted, ' Is this seat taken ? ' She gestured towards the tool by her stranger's side but sat nonetheless, before glancing around the crowd with a smile. ' I really am too old for this.' Eyes fell on the empty glass, she waved at her friend who happened to be the bartender to refill it. ' On me.'

           Her look was watery, tears threatening to fall along her face. But they didn't, and they wouldn't. She was stronger than that. However, her jaw clenched, like each time she needed to bite her tongue from saying something stupid or hurtful, However, she alrealy spilled half of it, but the worst part was that she wasn't sure she regretted, especially when it was the obvious truth.

" And I did support you too. We literally moved to New York for you ! "      Los Angeles was her home, their home, and Kit was still there... all their memories. Perhaps something was still holding her back, perhaps she just didn't like her life here. She held onto the counter, and sighed loudly, regaining some confidence.    " I can't... I can't do this anymore... I feel..."     She couldn't find the right words.     " I feel disoriented. It's not about not supporting you, it's about me. "      Of course, it was always about Bette first.

       Bette Porter, from the top of her fifty years old, parked her car in front of her date’s home. The same moment, she noticed Tina’s car disappearing from the corner of the street. Good lord, just in time. Glancing around before getting out of the car, the house was lightened up from the living room. One last look in the rear view checking on her makeup and hair, combing a wild brunette lock out of her face before placing her palm over her mouth, making sure she was fresh. Bette made her way to the front door, and knocked when a wave of heat surrounded her body and she could feel her armpits sweating like crazy. Great, just great. 

Fuck she was so stressed out. Why was she acting so weird ? She did it a million times ! She knew her since forever. Nothing to worry about, right ? It was exactly why it was so important to her, because she wasn’t a random flirt or fuck. She was her ex-wife. First date since their divorce a few years ago. 

The door opened, the blonde appeared and Bette’s jaw dropped. She felt like a teen all over again. She could feel her heart beat madly into her ribcage, glee wandering all over her until she grinned genuinely, stars shining in her eyes. She couldn’t believe they were trying.      “ Tina... you look...”     she shook her head, speechless, and all she wanted in this moment was to kiss her. She loved her so much.     “... phew, amazing.”     Did she feel like crying ? Perhaps. 

They stared at each other, for a while, and the flashback of their meeting hit her hard. Now she hoped she’d lose her earring in her car. Tina was smiling too, how so gorgeous, and suddenly asked her if she could kiss her. Surprised but glad, Bette tilted her head, they’ve kissed already lately, but this date made it all more official.     “ I thought you’d never ask, Tina. ”

        “ No,”      it was very challenging for Bette to keep Tina at arms length. Even them being forty five didn’t change the fact that she was still attracted to Tina, if not more. Her hands rested on the kitchen furniture, on each side of Tina’s body, preventing her from escaping. Looking down, Bette was doing her best not to kiss Tina’a lips once again, surrendering to her first and basic instincts like a vulgar womanizer.      “ You have Carrie,”     she leaned towards Tina slightly, wanting to smell her perfume, her warmth,    “ You’re getting married, and I won’t cause another divorce.”    She didn’t particularly felt any regret for Felicity’s couple, she was gay and if her husband couldn’t figure it out by himself, then he was an idiot - clearly he proved himself the title.      “ Just like, I don’t think you’ve ever been a cheater, Tina. ”     One way or another, Bette knew that if anything happened, she wanted this relationship to start on healthy basis, not with one of them cheating.      “ You deserve better. You always knew,”     she pushed herself away from the counter and from Tina as well, her eyes meeting her watery ones. She left her knowing Bette was suffocating her.      “ It just took you twenty years to realize I wasn’t the woman for you, ”     a tear rolled along her face,     “ Tell me when you’re done with your stuff, I’ll drive you to the airport later. ”

        “ Can you not ? Seriously Jules, you’re constantly putting yourself down. ”     And this was very tiring to Bette, because Julia was an amazing woman. She still was very much defined by men’s standards and opinions when honestly ? Bette couldn’t care less about them. 

“ You’re an amazing woman, and if he couldn’t see that ? Fuck him ! He used you because you were fragile ? Fuck him even more ! That’s manipulative and abusive. ”    Bette couldn’t help but take the other’s hand in hers, in both hands in the end, covering them carefully as she leaned her forehead against the blonde’s temple,     “ You are precious, and people should feel very grateful to have such a brilliant and kind woman in their lives. ”

          The place was crowded, filled mostly by young folks since Shane had made this place a modern bar for lesbians, back like the Planet used to feel. Of course it turned out as one of Bette’s favorite place along wiht her long time Canadian friend. Despite the years, and the marks from the corner of Bette’s eyes, she was still an attractive woman. She knew the effect she had on people, though, with age and a broken heart, she had learnt to tame herself. However that didn’t prevent women to come hit on her trying to get lucky. One of them had become pretty insistent, and Bette in an attempt to play nice, had not dumped her yet. However when Marcia came back from the bathroom, she knew in which situation she was stuck in and came to help. Striding across the crowd, she made her towards Bette and sat on her lap, arms wrapping around her shoulders as she glanced back at the stranger who quickly got it.

     “Sorry, ”     Bette smiled apologetically but she was already leaving.     “ We would have made a cute couple years ago,”      she said with a light chuckle.
