        Viv looks at the necklace attentively, almost as if inspecting it. Finally, she looks at Riri with a small, genuine smile on her lips. One of those rare, precious moments she actually let herself feel and express her feelings. 

        “Thank you, Riri. This is a wonderful gift. I can tell you put a lot of thought into this.” Her words and tone may have been robotic, but her feelings were true. “I will treasure this gift for the rest of my life, synthetic or otherwise. Will you help me put it on?” She asked, turning around and moving her hair to the side, exposing the back of her neck for Riri.

        “Riri, I am only attracted to other females. As for a butch appearance, I would not say you qualify unless you wish to do so. You do not dress particularly butch-y, as you put it, but I believe you would look nice if you were to dress in such a way. As you are now, however, I believe you look quite pleasing. Your fashion sense is quite nice and I enjoy your use of makeup.”

       Has Riri changed her hair? No, not significantly. It’s merely looking especially radiant today. Which is quite a feat, since her hair always looks beautiful.

“You’re the cutest thing I ever seen.” She’s high from medicine but she’s telling the truth. “I love you Viv, will you marry me after prom?”

        “The cutest - Riri, I do not believe this is true. Sparky, at the very least, is much cuter than I am. This is an indisputable fact.” Viv’s face wasn’t as serious as it usually was, however. In fact, she looked downright embarrassed and possibly even flattered. “Marriage? I do not believe that is a good idea at this point. Or legal. From the symptoms you are exhibiting, you appear to be under the influence of something or are, in fact, sick. Perhaps you should lie down.”

        “…….I have never considered this idea before.” Viv answers, surprise quickly turning to calculation. 

        “I was created to be a daughter, but I have already become so much more. It would not be a stretch to consider this possibility in my future.” Viv pauses, gears turning in her head. 

        “Yes. I believe such a path would be enjoyable for me. It is a role which I believe I could be suited for, should it present itself to me.”
