Pride month is already over...(1/2)
I posted a LGBTQ+ superhero comics character every day to my Threads account
Enjoy this recap of every single one. Take care y'all 💙🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈💙
These are (sort of) in chronological order.
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: America Chavez .
Needs: A good on-going series, the MCU not f*cking up her backstory as bad as the comics did.
Qualifactions: Super DUPER f*cking gay (was born in a Sapphic paradise, f*ck the f*cking retcon in it's *sshole)
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Jean-Paul Beaubier, Aka Northstar
Needs: his own x-team (with or without his awesome sister) of which, of course, he would be the leader because, well, duh.
Qualifications: Snarky prideful gay dude💅 (his wit is LEGENDARY)
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character, Aldrif Angela Odinsdottir.
Needs a movie/more comics respresentation/possibly a cooler costume (Love the helmet though)
Qualifactions: Super duper gay.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: David Alleyne aka Prodigy
Needs: His version of young Avengers to come back, for good. And he should hook up with Marvel Boy, just sayin'.
Qualifications: Baby bi boi 🩵
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Gwendolyn Poole, Aka Gwenpool
Needs: For people to start buying her comics, so Marvel understands she's a WAY better character than Deadpool. I said what I f*cking said.
Qualifications: Aroace gurl 🩵
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Nico Minoru aka Sister Grimm (although I struggle to remember when exactly she used that alias 🤷🏽♀️)
Needs: Nothing. She's perfect. I'll fight you if you say otherwise.
Qualifications: Buh-buh-buh-Baby biiiii bye byeeeeee... Ahem. Bi. She's bi.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Noh-Varr aka Marvel Boy
Needs: More comics with him in it wtf? I get writing for him after the great Grant Morrison can be intimidating, but come on !
Qualifications: Bi alien guy.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: James Howlett, aka Logan, aka Wolverine (the least cool one imo but hey 🤷🏽♀️)
Needs: Marvel to grow a f*cking spine already. For real. Like yesterday.
Qualifications: Bi and polyamorous. That's right. I went there. Deal. With. It. Do you think Jean had connecting doors to both Scott AND Logan's room for what ? BINGO NIGHT ? WAKE/GROW UP PEOPLE !
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Raven Darkholme aka Mystique aka Sherlock Holmes (not joking) aka my blue mom
Needs: NOTHING. Perfection doesn't even BEGIN to describe it.
Qualifications: I still struggle with the concept of a Bi lesbian, but I'm thinking she fits the "label" PERFECTLY 💙
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Charlene McGowan
Needs: Nothing. She was written perfectly. The fact she's trans is addressed ONCE, because it's PLOT RELEVENT, SHE'S THE ONE WHO ADRESSES IT, saves the day thanks to her experience as a trans woman, then she goes on with her f*cking life. Queen 💅
Qualifications: Badass trans scientist. Read. Immortal. Hulk.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Shela Sexton aka Escapade
Needs: More comics. I love seeing her in every year's pride comics, but we don't stop existing after pride y'all.
Qualifications: Trans nerd with socializing issues, it's like she was written for me
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Eloïse Phimister aka Ellie aka Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Needs: For Marvel to actually DO something with her character, like wtf was the point in bringing her back from the dead, rebooting her then NEVER F*CKING USING HER?
Qualifications: Badass angry dyke 💙.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Vivian Vision aka Viv aka... Vivid... Vessel? (wait, what ?)
Needs: MORE CHAMPIONS PLEASE.
Qualifications: Lesbian android girl
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Bobby Drake aka Iceman (Ice ice baby)
Needs: Another case of a character being perfect. Nothing to see here. Kindly move along. I'd hug him. Even in his ice form.
Qualifications: Gay as f*ck.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Julio Richter aka Rictor aka Druid
Needs: For artists to stop drawing him so light skinned. Other than that, no comment (if any writer dares TOUCH his relationship with star again, I WILL bite them though)
Qualifications: Gay warlock. The best kind.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Martha Johansson aka Cerebella and another alias I will not use as it's basically her deadname.
Needs: To be happy. Her origin is so dark, she deserves it.
Qualifications: Gay telepathic prodigy
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Phylla Vell aka Captain Marvel (one of the many) aka Martyr aka Qasar
Needs: To survive her use in the MCU. I still have nightmares of what happened to Kamala.
Qualifications: Gay inter dimensional alien
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Teddy Altman aka motherf*cking Emperor Dorrek-Vell (I added the mothef*cking)
Needs: Why exactly don't I have a ongoing about him and his husband ruling over the empire already? Like wtf Marvel.
Qualifications: Buff gay alien boi
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: William Kaplan aka Billy aka Wiccan
Needs: I won't repeat what I addressed on his husband's presentation. Nothing else to add.
Qualifications: Romani magician gay boi
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Xuan Cao Manh aka Karma
Needs: Nothing. The fact she speaks French makes me like her that much more. Just in case being a badass Vietnamese mutant telepath with a cyberleg didn't already sell me 🤷🏽♀️
Qualifications: Badass mutie lesbian.
🏳️🌈
Today's LGBTQ+ superhero comics character: Kitty Pryde aka Shadowkat aka Ariel aka too many to remember
Needs: A female love interest she doesn't sexually assaults, like wtf Marvel, who okayed this?
Qualifications: Bi Jewish techie with a heart of gold.
🏳️🌈

I honestly just really like the visual storytelling here. I think it'd be better if cyke didn't have any dialogue in the 3rd panel, tho.

these hc are so cute ! maybe what halloween costume the Li would wear individually and in a couples costume 💓💓💓
HI YES YES YES I LOVE THIS QUESTION
I'm so excited!! ok, ok, without any further ado:
what the season 2 lis would wear for halloween (individually and in a couple)
bobby.
individually: look me in the eye right now and tell me he wouldn't dress up as spider-man. especially now with the spider-verse movies.
couple: he's a silly guy so I'm thinking he could wear literally anything after a little convincing, but ultimately, I'm saying:
beast boy & raven or robin & starfire (teen titans)
scott pilgrim and ramona flowers (scott pilgrim vs the world)
shark boy and lava girl
this has gotten way too long!! pls check out more under the cut 👇
gary.
individually: most likely a star war reference. or something funny. definitely something tight
couple: again, another silly guy who would wear anything you ask him, but here are my picks:
han solo and princess leia (and he absolutely loves it)
bowser and peach, not mario tho because that's too basic
bob and helen parr (the incredibles)
ibrahim.
individually: violet man. ok, let's say violet man isn't a real thing (like, well, it isn't). he's DEFINITELY dressing as another superhero. my guess? either superman or batman.
couple: he's gonna rock the best geek couple costumes ever and he'll show off. together, you guys will either serve cunt or die trying. here are some ideas:
batman and catwoman (the batman)
wanda maximoff and vision (wandavison)
jean gray and scott summers (the x-men)
noah.
individually: he would probably wear something that's more halloween than costume party, if you get what i mean? he prolly loves the holiday 'cause of his siblings and REALLY commits to the bit. fred krueger, jason, chuck, ghost face...
couple: like I said, he commits to the bit and goes all the way but he's sticking to the horror pattern because that's how it should go. some ideas include:
emily and victor (corpse bride)
other mother and other father (coraline)
beetlejuice and lydia (yes, the red wedding dress)
lucas.
individually: something sexy but that he doesn't need to put much effort in, like a vampire or something. i can't see him going all out for halloween, i'm sorry 😭
couple: now, when in a couple, it's a tad different... he's making sure you look good together and when i say good, i mean GOOD. you guys would probably be the hottest couple at any halloween party, here are some ideas:
gomez and morticia addams (let's put that stache to use, shall we?)
mr and mrs smith
tony montana and elvira hancock (scarface)
henrik.
individually: TARZAN. and he loves wearing nothing but a thong the whole night.
couple: I bet on something fun and easy, but also cute! he just wanna have fun with you and party for a bit, so I don't think he would propose something super complex. some ideas:
johnny and mavis (hotel transylvania)
daphne and fred (scooby-doo)
lola and bugs bunny (space jam)
kassam.
individually: I'm thinking classic and boring. doesn't care much when he's on his own. classic halloween stuff.
couple: HEAR ME OUT — iconic moments from pop culture. what do I mean by that? well, I mean:
britney spears and justin timberlake in matching jeans outfits
xtina and eminem (at the ICONIC vmas)
sony and cher (like halsey did!)
carl.
individually: spock! a little on the nose for him but COME ON. he's always dressing up as a star trek character, switching up every year. I can see him wearing something marvel related too.
couple: yeah, some star trek reference for sure but since that's not my breed of nerd (sorry not sorry), I'm saying:
jessie and james (pokemon)
loki and sylvie (loki series)
link and zelda (the legend of zelda)
ahh!! this was so much fun to do!! thanks for asking, anon 💝 I had a blast with your question!!
(!) I don't know enough about the missing LIs to add them to this list. if you'd like to ask for a specific islander that didn't make the list, don't be afraid to drop your request in my inbox.
more headcanons.

⊹₊ We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames, we are all just stars that have people names.
࿐ ࿔*:・゚ I'm Nym (she/her), and I'm 25 years old. My hobbies include gifmaking, writing fanfiction, and talking about how much I love Poe Dameron. I'm neurodivergent & ace as hell, and I treat tumblr as a scrapbook of my favorite things. We do cringe here, and we do it well.
࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Because of the aforementioned scrapbooking, I keep my asks off majority of the time, and I mute all gifsets that I post to avoid negativity. I will rarely blog about current events or fandom discourse, & although I do love to kvetch on occasion about things, I'm trying to keep this a positive space. Given that I'm an adult, I will occasionally blog about adult topics, and I don't typically tag that, so this is technically an 18+ account.
࿐ ࿔*:・゚ I'm a multifandom entity, but I post the most about Star Wars, with a focus on the Sequel Trilogy, SWTOR, and Star Wars Rebels. You probably won't be seeing the prequels here much, as I don't personally care for them outside of the Phantom Menace (it invented cinema, which is very kind since it came out the year I was born). ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ I also have a special interest in Marvel that's slowly been resurging. You can expect a lot of Moon Knight (the TV show), Spider-Man (anything but the Holland films), and the X-Men (Rogue, Gambit, Logan, Jean & Kurt especially). Occasionally, I blog about other MCU things, usually pertaining to Natasha Romanoff, Yelena Belova, or Kate Bishop. ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Other things I'm interested in that might pop up on this blog includes: Oscar Isaac & his filmography, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, My Lady Jane, various movies (usually fantasy or romance, with some horror mixed in), Castle, Gilmore Girls, Disney animated films, and Doctor Who (Moffat's era)!
You can find more stuff under the cut, such as info on my OCs and links to my other social media pages! ⊹₊
As aforementioned, I write a lot of canon/oc fanfiction and I play SWTOR, so I've got a lot of OCs that I'll likely mention in passing on this blog. On SWTOR, I'm known as the Starlight Legacy <3 ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Volya Doneeta — my original girlie, the light of my life. Initially a Clone Wars era Jedi archivist, nowadays I focus on writing her in the middle of time-travel shenanigans that result in her becoming a pilot in the Resistance. She's a blue, chubby Twi'lek with short lekku, and a temper that bellies her size. ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Emilia McKnight — a not-quite-so retired vigilante who went by the name of Nephila, until tragedy resulted in her moving to Brixton, London. However, with gods and monsters around every corner, she ends up putting the suit back on. Mostly set in a not canon-compliant to the MCU Moon Knight 'verse, but I sometimes toy with her in Spiderverse (as she was originally meant to be). ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Lucina Thelanis — my Jedi Knight/Outlander for SWTOR that I main. Born on Kijimi and taken in by the Jedi Order, Lucina grew into a rude and arrogant Jedi until taking on an apprentice, and learning humility. She slowly lost herself across the years of the war, becoming more symbol than person, until a chance meeting with Theron Shan. Light Side IV
࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Divider Credits go to: thecutestgrotto & drizztdohurtin ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ You can find me elsewhere @dameronswife (self-ship blog) and @disabledameron (inactive, disability centered blog). ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ if you ever want to see what I do when I'm not on Tumblr, you can also find me on Spotify, Pinterest, Bluesky, Letterboxd & Toyhouse!

okay so i actually know very little about the x men but what roles are u thinking of for the party?
OKAY. you have awakened nerd esme. prepare urself. this will be long. sooooo long.
so for context the x men— created in 1963 by stan lee and jack kirby and fictionally brought together by professor x, a wheelchaired mutant with telepathic abilities, were/are mutants. mutants are a different species than humans and are as such treated terribly by them. they have “mutations” which give them powers and shit. they were basically created as parallels to real life bigotry and are hated by the general public (in the marvel verse everyone irl loves them. or i do. )
anyway, the original five were—
angel aka warren worthington III (yes that is his actual name) who had wings on his back. now they’re metal. it’s complicated but not important. he’s basically the token rich boy, blond hair, blue eyes, yeah. total knockout in canon too apparently. cyclops aka scott summers who had a red laser beam that continuously comes out of his eyes and as such he wears/wore a special visor made out of special ruby glass professor x found for him. quick fun fact he had so low self esteem and was so depressed professor x made him leader out of fear he would fucking kill himself. which is very dark. a bit stoic and pretty much an old man (he canonically watched seinfield). and he’s transmasc to ME. beast aka hank mccoy who is basically a genius and really strong and stuff. eventually he turns into a literal beast but i’m too sleep deprived to remember how that happened lolol marvel girl aka jean grey who was the token Girl™️ of the group and who possessed too many abilities to keep track of, and when she has them. she gets fucked up at some point in the chris claremont x men run (which is truly iconic) and becomes possessed by the phoenix force(specifically in issue #134, the issue will wanted in episode one) and becomes like evil and shit. the phoenix force is a cosmic evil being and she becomes *dark* phoenix and it’s a whole thing. also pour one fucking out for her imagine being surrounded by teenage boys and hormones most of whom have a crush on you and being able to read their minds. jean babe i’m so sorry for everything you’ve been through. and bobby drake aka iceman who has *gasp* ice powers. he’s a bit of the goofball of the group and can turn basically turn himself into ice which is explored more in more recent comics. he’s also been revealed as gay. one small step for mutants i suppose they’re all queer but nobody tell them.
wow that was long! sorry. anyway onto the actual au stuff. my original plan was to make each member of the part correspond to a o5 x men member, but since there are six i thought i’d add one more for max.
mike is cyclops! i think it fits in a special sort of way that i can’t really articulate since they have such different personalities. but just trust me.
el is jean, in the telepathic sense and being surrounded by boys most of the time sense. rip.
dustin is beast. tech savvy, smart, tested different bc of how he looks— it fits. so so well.
again the personalities may not fit on the surface but i think will is iceman. they’re both sort of softer than everyone else, and whole will is quieter it just makes sense to me haha.
uhh so i don’t actually think lucas would be warren… mayhaps i’m still considering… which means i wrote that whole description for basically nothing but i think it’s funny so i’m keeping it there. anyway i think lucas would be… idk. i’m still thinking it over but maybe gambit.
so for max @hellmo suggested rogue who would be great but i’m also still mulling it over. maybe kitty pryde! idk.
technically i think brenner would work as prof x but obviously that’s a no-go so it’s gonna be mr clarke which i like more as concept actually. again, different personalities but i think that’s okay, because the general roles fit. plus i jsut think that dynamic would be fun to explore more.
so sorry this was long and doesn’t really have much au it’s more me seeing x men and going brrr… haha. thanks for the ask tho!!! i enjoyed talking about them :]
#long post#so so long#i’m sorry i nerded out#this au is half an excuse to just talk about the x men#but i do like the concept#rjay💘#x men party au#the party#stranger things#ask#amazing mutuals

Verse..

I think the more I grow up, the more I value my alone time, and these things mentioned is things I can't live without. I swear, I can't make this up.
Grew up in the family who is really fond with music, I listen to a lot of 70s to early 00s song, including Indonesia's musicians work. I love blues especially, which leads me to love rnb to this day! I'm crazy about classical music too, I can talk about it for hours. I also love K-pop, of course.
Some musicans I adore are Ariana Grande, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Laufey, Arctic Monkeys, Jesse Barrera, Daniel Caesar, Mistski, Lauv, Taylor Swift, Tori Kelly, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, Jeff Bernat, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Metro Boomin, Cigarettes After Sex, Zayn, Chase Atlantic, Post Malone, keshi, NIKI, XXXTENTACION, A Rocket To The Moon, My Chemical Romance, Sleeping At Last, Novo Amor, Mac Ayres, RINI, DEAN, Red Velvet, aespa, KAI, Baekhyun, Yerin Baek, Taeyeon, IU, Le Sserafim, New Jeans, Blackpink, NCT, Tulus, Kerispatih, Chopin, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and a lot more that can't be mentioned here.
I do watch a lot of movies, but I'm afraid, I can't give you series recommendation because I rarely dig into them. However, if you love psychological thriller, romance, musical and adventure film, here is the Allura's Version!
Dead Poets Society, La La Land, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Marvel Cinematic Universe, X-Men, Gone Girl, The Devil Wears Prada, Interstellar, The Princess Diaries, Coco, Tangled, Shutter Island, I Care a Lot, The Social Network, Barbie, Hacksaw Ridge, Studio Ghibli, Black Swan, Prisoners, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, The Basketball Diaries, Rocky V, The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Me Before You, The Notebook, etc.
With that being said, I would love it if you can suggest me a lot of film, series or the K-Drama to finish.. or! Books will be lovely as well since I love writing when I'm bored. Don't ever hesitate to hit me up if you want to discuss anything if we happen to share the same interests. Honestly, if you happen to need someone to ramble about anything.. I don't bite and I will try to be the listener you needed (warning: I'm kinda honest.. not too brutal, though, I promise)!

Curiosity Killed the Cat (Part 8) - Gar Logan
Gif: Unknown on Tenor
Word Count: 1.1K
Paring: Gar Logan x (f)Reader
Summary: Poor Rachel Roth has been forced into the role of Dating Coach when separately calming Y/N and Gar. Rachel and Y/N talk about their respective abilities.
Warnings: Mentions of Sex.
Masterlist
Tagging: @ninergirl1d reclusive-chicken-nugget @marveling-avengers
________________________________________________________________
Rachel stood in the doorway of Gar’s room and watched as the boy ran about the room. Anyone else seeing the scene before her would believe that he was about to face-off against the most evil creature in the multi-verse, not go on a date. He was so pale from nervousness that Rachel thought that he might drop to the ground unconscious. It stopped being funny about ten minutes ago, and now Rachel was just exasperated as she watched him tear through all the clothes he brought with him to Themyscira.
‘Shit, what was I thinking when packing?’ He groaned as he threw the last decent top he had on the bed.
‘Dude,’ Rachel rolled her eyes, ‘she’d not gonna care what you’re wearing, as long as you’re wearing something! Cause at least then you’ll be there to pick her up on time. Don’t stand her up on her first date!’
‘I want this to be perfect.’
‘The date can’t be perfect if it doesn’t fucking happen. Pick something.’
‘I don’t know what to pick though,’ Gar said, staring at the clothes around him.
‘Alright,’ Rachel sighed as she walked over to the clothes and started sorting through them. ‘I’ll help.’
‘I’m going to take fashion advice from the girl who dresses exclusively like she’s just came back from a My Chemical Romance concert?’
‘I can leave and let you suffer.’
‘Alright, alright, sorry.’ Gar apologized quickly, ‘Please help me!’
‘Hmm,’ Rachel rolled her eyes as she looked through his clothes, letting his comment fade into the background. ‘Have you seriously found nothing? You’ve packed more than me, and you wear the same damn thing most days anyway – do you really have no other jacket?’ She gestured to the red and white item of clothing hanging on the back of a chair.
‘Gees, I asked for help, not insults.’
Rachel ignored Gar’s snippy comment and pulled a pair of black jeans out of the Everest of clothing, chucking it at him, which he quickly caught, before diving back in to find a shirt.
‘Have you ever gone on a date before?’ Rachel asked curiously.
‘Have you?’ Gar quipped back, turning red.
‘So you haven’t,’ Rachel concluded.
‘Why does it matter?’
‘Cause it’d explain the close-to-fainting-look about you.’
‘Is it that obvious?’
‘I can’t lie to you, Gar,’ Rachel looked at him, ‘yes, yes it is.’
‘Doesn’t really help me,’ he groaned sitting down, ‘does it?’
‘It’s endearing really,’ Rachel assured him, ‘girls like that cutesy ‘I really like a girl and it makes me nervous’ stuff.’
‘So, I don’t need to be worried?’
‘No, you’ll be fine,’ Rachel nodded as she found a button-up shirt in the pile and shook it to see it better, ‘just… don’t faint,’ she said before handing him the shirt.
‘Easier said than done,’ Gar said taking the shirt.
________________________________________________________________
Rachel thought that Gar was nervous before the date, that didn’t even come close to Y/N, who had asked a fellow Amazon to find the girl and bring her to her room. Y/N was utterly clueless and when Rachel appeared, Y/N nearly jumped the poor girl, asking her question after question about what a date entails of and what she should wear and do. Christ, Rachel thought, staring with large eyes, Gar was a walk in the park compared to the young Amazon.
Gar, at least, had an idea about what a date consisted of, while Y/N knew nothing, absolutely nothing.
How to explain something to someone who knows nothing about it? Rachel understood why Gar spent ages racking his head about what to teach her.
‘Okay, first, breathe,’ Rachel said as she saw the panicked expression on Y/N’s face. ‘You’re going to faint.’ Rachel placed her hands on Y/N’s shoulders and mimicked a deep inhale and exhale for Y/N to copy, which she did, swallowing and nodding afterwards.
‘Apologies, Rachel,’ Y/N said awkwardly, ‘I’m a little nervous about the date. What do they even entail of?’
‘Each date’s different,’ Rachel explained, ‘but, hey, you and Gar have awesome chemistry, so you’ve got nothing to worry about.’
‘Chemistry?’
‘Right… Amazon,’ Rachel sighed. How did Gar do it? Explain things which were normal to him and Rachel to someone who would be utterly bewildered with a mobile phone? ‘Well, chemistry between two people is, like, romantic. When two people have chemistry, it’s a good thing, says they’d have a good relationship.’
‘And Gar and I have chemistry?’
‘Definitely.’
‘Good,’ Y/N smiled, ‘having sex with him makes more sense now that I’m aware we have chemistry.’
‘Wait, you and Gar have had sex?’
‘Yes.’
‘When? Where? Tell me everything!’ Rachel pulled Y/N to sit on the bed, turning to her, eager to know all the details. Was this what it was like to be a normal teenager? Both girls wondered. To not be Rachel Roth or Y/N the Amazon? To be a normal teenager, in a normal life, in the normal world of man? To sit and talk about life and things that they did?
‘I showed him my favourite place on the island. It’s this wonderful Lagoon,’ Y/N began, ‘we swam and then… we kissed and one thing led to another… and, well, we had sex.’
‘But Gar didn’t bring swim shorts for the trip,’ Rachel thought aloud, ‘Dude, did you swim naked?’
‘Well, yes,’ Y/N said as though it as obvious.
‘Man, your coolness is incredible,’ Rachel said, ‘I wish I had that confidence,’ she chuckled awkwardly.
‘I think you are a magnificent person,’ Y/N assured Rachel, ‘you’re wonderful to talk to, incredibly warm and good. Also, Gar mentioned you have abilities? Born with them, correct?’
‘Yeah,’ Rachel nodded, ‘your Amazon stuff is from an experiment, right? Gar mentioned it to me once.’
‘Correct, I was experimented on as an infant in an attempt to recreate Diana’s abilities and form soldiers for the world of men.’
‘Mine are from my dad – an evil demon guy.’
‘Well, it seems you and I will have an awful lot to talk about regarding our abilities, doesn’t it?’
‘Oh, yeah,’ Rachel laughed, ‘hey, maybe we can show each other what we can do. After the date, of course, and when you’re not training Gar.’
‘That would be marvellous,’ Y/N agreed eagerly, ‘see, as I am an experiment, my abilities aren’t the exact same as a true Amazon, so to talk to someone about my differences would be delightful, and it would be wonderful to see what abilities you can do.’
‘I’m still learning my… thing,’ Rachel admitted, scratching the back of her head, ‘kinda tried to hide it for so long… it’s… scary.’
‘Well, Rachel Roth, you don’t have to hide any of it from me,’ Y/N smiled, ‘Amazons don’t frighten easily.’
‘Thanks, Y/N,’ Rachel smiled back, ‘and you can show me everything you can do too. Now, let’s get you ready for your first date!’

I'm not really familiar with the characters in your sketches, could you tell me a little about who they are?
Hey sure! Thank you for asking! So, they’re all canon X-Men characters, but the interactions depicted are NOT canon. The reason I call them “Alt-Marauders” is because this cast is my own fanfic-verse alternative to the present “Marauders” comic. It’s pretty much just for fun for me to bounce some characters off each other who don’t get attention anywhere else (and write a Marauders Shaw that I prefer) The slender guy with long-ish black hair is Shinobi Shaw, Sebastian’s son. They’ve been at each other’s throats for like 30 years of comic book history now due to Sebastian’s abuse of him when Shin was just a boy. In current canon, Shinobi is working with his father as Black Bishop to his Black King, and they’re the villains of Marauders. They’re not the antagonists in my Alt-Marauders (not because they’re not both terrible people but because my fics are less “hero vs villain” and more “here’s a bunch of villains and ex-villains and emotional vignettes between them in lieu of actual plot”) but their positions and relationship is the same, just with more spotlight given to their respective psyches. The other skinny guy, the one with the big curly hair, is Pyro aka St. John Allerdyce. He was the flame-controlling member of Mystique’s Brotherhood, now he’s a Marauder, and I liked that and I liked him and I kept him. I try to merge Duggan’s current “chaotic drunk dumbass” characterization of him with his previous canon characterization of being a more level-headed type who also writes Gothic romances, as well as using the original intention of his co-creator John Byrne that he be gay, since I feel bad he never got to be in canon because of when he was created. He’s never interacted with Shaw in current Marauders despite them being IN THE SAME COMIC but they have the most antagonistic relationship of my Alt-Marauders crew. Madelyne Pryor is the lady I draw either with a bob or her hair in a bun. Her history and how badly she was screwed over by her own story is too long and complicated to fully explain here but basically she’s Jean Grey’s clone and she has had a REALLY hard time, and writers consistently keep casting her as a Bitchy Jealous Ex in a skimpy costume LONG after it made any sense. Her entire saga is just de-personalization and loss after loss of agency, identity, her husband, her son, and being made the bad guy for it, and being KEPT the bad guy for it when far less victimized villains got a redemption arc long ago. She just keeps getting fucked and I’m really tired of it. She’s an interesting character, and she deserves to actually BE a character again and not a bundle of misogynistic cliches. She also has a surprisingly positive past with Shaw; they were a romantic item for awhile in the 90s, and he actually was a very good boyfriend to her. She left him because he was doing immoral shit that could hurt other people and MADDIE IS STILL A GOOD PERSON, and while he was bitter about that in the 90s (I mean, you give a girl everything and then one day she’s just gone?) I write him as having gotten over it and they’re amicable exes now. Claudine Renko aka Miss Sinister is the one with straight black hair that I usually draw in a cute little vest’n’pants combo. We don’t know too much about her except that she’s a woman whose body Sinister intended to take over when his own was destroyed, but instead she wound up essentially his female duplicate. She has to fight to retain her own personality and free will though. She’s worked with Shaw before, and she and Madelyne (as well as Shaw) all have pasts in which they had their autonomy violated by Sinister. And I’ve just always wanted to find out more about just who she is, since we never really get to know her and what her story is, beyond that she just wants to survive as herself and not a new body for Sinister. The woman in Indian clothing (saris, anarkalis, etc) with BIIIIG floofy black hair is Haven aka Radha Dastoor. Like Madelyne, she’s a former female villain who didn’t have a choice in it, and got really really badly fucked over by sexist storylines. As an all-compassionate pacifist and a normal human, I feel like she adds a unique aspect to a cast that’s otherwise superpowered and “morally gray/conflicted to downright dubious or worse”...plus I just really love her a lot, she’s my emotional support/comfort character. I feel like she makes a good contrast to Shaw in particular as they have totally opposite philosophies and ways of looking at the world, and yet her intent is to understand him and be understood in turn, rather than just verbally dominating him cuz he’s the bad guy. Haven really just loves everyone, and her interactions with everyone are very tender (except Shaw but that’s because he’s not letting her, SHE’S TRYING) Token morally pure team person! The kiddos are Manon (girl) and Maxime (boy) who weren’t originally supposed to be part of the cast, but ended up slipping in there as lesser characters, along with another kid, Alice. Alice is a teen girl who Claudine cloned with the intention of taking over HER body to escape Sinister, while Manon and Maxime were brainwashed into being mutant-hunters, and while they’ve been rescued, they still have a LOT of fucked-up behavior in terms of how they violate others agency and boundaries with their psychic powers, much like how real-life abused kids may hurt other kids as a symptom of that abuse. Manon and Maxime are current characters in the present New Mutants comics and I look forward to seeing more of them, but Alice is pretty much gone and I always wanted to see more of her. Pretty much everyone on the crew is either a present or former villain, pretty much all of them having been through something horrible and NOT come out better people for it, some did it TO EACH OTHER, they’re mostly NOT“good” victims/survivors, some aren’t even good PEOPLE, and they’re also not characters that have been given much exploration or opportunity to shine or live up to the potential they had in canon. So my intention is to just play around a lot with that, mostly just in my own head but when I have the time/ability I write it down or draw it. It’s really just for me to tell the stories *I* want to see Marvel do, but if other people enjoy that’s great too!

Time for the only jean grey story ever adapted
Note I like the x-men films for what they are nonsensical adaptations of a property that even marvel hasn't known what to do with for years. But I am sick to death of the Dark Phoenix saga getting adapted for a couple of reasons. 1. First the story was written decades ago and the tropes in it have not aged well and have been done to death to the point where any adaptation is going to just come off as regurgitating the old women can't handle power and goes bad trope that has been to death and needs to be shelved permanently. 2. It is pretty much the only really iconic Jean Grey story so it is the one that writers constantly go back to either in adaptations or yet more retcons/sequels to the original in the comic verse. None of the adaptations or retcons/sequels have really helped too much and many of them have hurt it. Let it go and tell some new stories with Jean. 3. Another big problem is they only want to adapt the end of the story and even then not that accurately the whole good girl goes bad because of two much cosmic power which ignores the real tragedy of the full story. For those who've never read it the full story is Jean gains phenomenal cosmic power and stays a Hero the power doesn't corrupt her at all at first. She rises to the occasion and ends up saving the entire universe. Only to do it she has to touch every facet of creation more power than any mortal should ever have but she does it and she lets that power go but it creates a craving to feel that again but even still she didn't falter until a bunch of arrogant rich jackasses tried to make her a weapon for their own use. She fought against them constantly and even after they'd made her into their ideal she still with help started to fight her way back and it took them psychically killing the man she loved in front of her causing her to feel his death through a psychic link to finally break her. And even still she held on long enough to help save her friends and team mates before she lost herself and committed a terrible crime out in space trying desperately to feel what she felt when she saved the universe again. Then when she attacked the x-men to try to be free of them they helped her fight her back again. Then an alien empire ordered her death and a trial by combat was invoked to decide her fate and seeing her friends and family hurt she tapped into that power again and realized sooner or later some crisis would convince her to use it and she would lose herself again. She then made the choice to end her own life to die as a human being instead of becoming a goddess. She took the action when no one else would none of this begging folks to end it for her like adaptations constantly do. When they couldn't because they loved her to much she did it for the good of everyone and to die as herself not something else. If your going to do the story you need to include it all the wonderful triumph and the horrible tragedy but no they want to jump straight to the tragedy and milk it. While often making someone else the central figure in what should be Jean's story.
#x-men#reposting this cause I"m bored#wrote it in february#still feel this way#I am sick fo death of Dark Phoenix adaptations

Thought I was joking about that essay in my last post, didn’t ya?
Well guess again.
So if you know me, you know that my absolute favorite comic book storyline, NAY, fictional storyline of all time is the incredible, incomparable, indomitable, Dark Phoenix Saga...
I love this story to death! It’s such a great tale of love, loss, pain, action, and space genocide! It’s the story that cemented Chris Claremont as the definitive X-Men writer AND catapulted Wolverine into the ensemble darkhorse we know now! What’s not to love?
But everytime DPS gets adapted, it falls flat with an unimaginable thud. There are many reasons for this, and in this tangent I will be listing the reasons why I, in all my teenage wisdom, think adapting the Dark Phoenix Saga will be a thankless, thankless result for everyone of its fans:
1–The Changes:
This is the reason I hear of the most whenever a DPS adaptation is criticized. You know the drill; they changed it, now it sucks yadda yadda I’m gonna complain to the internet about it! (Hello irony, it’s been a while...)
But in all seriousness, this complaint is a mixed bag of sorts; any adaptation has to have changes not only to be unique and original to fans new and old, but also to fit the new medium it’s being adapted into. This is true for many Marvel films; Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse may be adapted from the Spider-Verse event comic, yes, but it’s change of the method of transportation from The Great Web of Life and Destiny to a particle collider as well as its focus on just six Spider-People instead of thousands makes the story more clear and concise but still adhering to the roots of the comics, and while Days of Future Past’s switching up of the characters involved and plot points is annoying to some, it did so in a way that made sense and kept true to the plot of the original.
But for some odd reason, any changes made to the Dark Phoenix Saga ends in tragedy (which is hilarious to me considering how the storyline ends). The Last Stand (which I am only acknowledging as existing for the purposes of this essay, and everything besides Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, and that one scene with the family in the car on the Golden Gate Bridge can go die in a dumpster fire..) changed the Phoenix from an intergalactic force to a psychopathic split personality in Jean that Professor X suppressed for years, which, to be frank, I could forgive since the 2000s X-Movies were set up to be more realistic than the comics. What I can’t forgive is the addition of characters like Magneto to a story that they weren’t even a cameo in, the numerous plot holes, the atrocious Phoenix costume, and fusing DPS with The Cure storyline for some god forsaken reason...
And while Dark Phoenix 2019 seems to at least try and be more faithful to the original story (with a Mastermind analogue, aliens, and keeping the Phoenix Force an actual intergalactic force of power), only time will tell whether or not it is as such...
2–The Characters:
In any story, the characters are one of the most important aspects. They move the plot, twist the narrative, make funny quips, etc...And for the Dark Phoenix Saga, the most important character is Jean Grey herself.
And you might be saying: “But Jellyfish, isn’t that kind of obvious?” Well, in any other case, you might be right. But for some weird reason, Jean is never defined enough as a character for us to care.
In The Last Stand, Jean is basically an afterthought while the audience is subjected to “The Professor X, Magneto, Wolverine Show”; she’s just there to act as a macguffin for the characters to fight over who occasionally has a line or two with a hint of character depth. It’s insulting how I know more about Movie!Nightcrawler (who we got to know over the course of a single movie) than I do about Movie!Jean (who we had THREE movies to get to know). Dark Phoenix 2019 does carry the positive of putting Jean in the role of main character, but we still know nothing about her because the writing in X-Men Apocalypse for Jean is very, very lacking...
In the original Dark Phoenix Saga, Jean Grey was simultaneously hero, victim, and villain. She was a heroic figure who tragically fell from grace, ultimately sacrificing herself to save the entire universe. She was a selfish, cruel, and wicked monster who cared only for her own passions and desires, with no regard for the hundreds of thousands of lives she destroyed in the wake of her malevolent acts. She was caring, kind, fiery, fierce, terrifying, vain, passionate, etc...In every aspect of her—from Jean Grey to Marvel Girl to Phoenix to the Black Queen to Dark Phoenix—you could see shades of all of these traits and emotions in her. Phoenix and Dark Phoenix weren’t two separate entities, and neither were Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force itself. Two sides of the same coin. Yin and Yang. Mortal and Goddess. Maiden and Monster.
In the end, however all these problems with defining Jean Grey’s character are symptomatic of a much larger issue that these movies continuously fail to acknowledge. That reason being:
3–Buildup:
This reason may be, in my opinion, the one that ultimately causes the failure when it comes to adapting DPS.
The Dark Phoenix Saga is one of the most impactful and powerful stories ever written, and the reason behind that distinction is, in my opinion, because of the amount of buildup it had; this storyline wasn’t done in just a few months, it had taken place over 41 issues, which is five years in real life time. There was time spent with the X-Men and building up the Shi’ar Empire and Princess Lilandra as allies and friends to them. We were intrigued by the mystery of Jason Wyngarde and his intentions towards Jean, all while the sinister Hellfire Club lurked in the shadows. We saw the gradual change in Jean Grey as she became more powerful, as she seemingly relived the life of her ancestors all while growing more unsure of her identity with each timeslip. As Jean lost control of her reality and sense of self, the audience was right there with her, trying to make sense of the world we had come to love and enjoy.
And even before all of this—before the Dark Phoenix Saga and the Phoenix Saga—from the very first issue of Uncanny X-Men, we’ve been with Jean Grey. From being the newest student at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters to awakening her telepathic powers for the very first time to piloting a space shuttle in the middle of the worst solar storm in history, we’ve been with her every step of the way. And with that history, seeing that fiery redhead fight a herald of Galactus to a standstill, save the universe from destruction! It was so triumphant, so full of awe!!
And...it only served to make things even more tragic with the coming of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Seeing this girl, this heroic girl, as she was twisted and controlled and tamed and broken. As her struggles mounted, with each manipulation and lie, every use of her awesome power growing more tempting and seductive, Jean began to crack—piece by piece—until eventually she just...snapped.
To see her consume that inhabited Star like she was simply drinking a bottle of water, fighting her friends with no remorse, her kind face twisting into a monstrous mockery of a smile...It was terrifying. The buildup gave this story depth, impact, emotion! You could feel every punch, every blast of energy, every scream, every cry, every word echoing in your head and in your heart. And seeing her sacrifice—it was truly uncanny. Begging Cyclops, the man she loved with all her heart, to kill her before she transformed into a nightmare goddess of death was heartbreaking, but his refusal to do so led to her doing the unthinkable; from the moment they were abducted by the Shi’ar to face trial, she knew what she had to do. To destroy any chance of the Dark Phoenix rising ever again, she had to destroy it...and herself as well. So, to save the galaxy, Jean Grey killed herself. In the words of Uatu the Watcher:
“Jean Grey could have lived to become a god. But it was more important to her that she die...a human.”
This storyline was filled with blood, sweat, and tears. It’s a reading experience like no other. A love letter to every X-Men fan, past, present, and future. It astounded me when I first read it 5 years ago, and it still astounds me when I read it now...
And that’s why I think we might never get a great adaptation of the Dark Phoenix Saga; to build up a story like this is a undertaking. It wouldn’t be like the buildup to Infinity War, because that was done so that every character in the movie would be well-defined and known to the audience so that they would care what happened to them. If you wanted to make the Dark Phoenix Saga into a movie, you would have to build up Jean Grey throughout each and every movie before that while simultaneously building up the other X-Men too. It would require more than 5 movies to do this; introducing Jean Grey, having her in the X-Men as Marvel Girl for a 2 movies, doing the Phoenix Saga with the M’kraan crystal and the Shi’ar, another movie where she grows in power and develops, and finally the actual Dark Phoenix Saga.
This storyline is incredibly close to my heart for many reasons, not the least of which being that it was the comic book that officially got me into comic books for real. I want to see it done right so badly!!
It’s a tale of tragedy and terror. A symphony of love and loss. A story of absolute power corrupting absolutely, and the unbeatable spirit of humanity that triumphs forevermore...
#the dark phoenix saga#my magnum opus#dear lordy this took way longer than i expected#i’d like to thank chris claremont#and john byrne#and stan lee may he forever rest in peace#x-men#marvel#jean grey

Super Women: A Brief History of Female Superheroes
With the release of Marvel’s latest phase three film, Captain Marvel, in March 2019, discussions of superheroines have ramped up again. Whether they’re debates on the ‘sanctity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’ or discussions on female representation in a male-centric world, people are talking. These heroes date back as far as comics themselves, and now that we’ve seen our newest Super Heroine it’s a great time to take a look back on the history of our Lady Heroes.
1940’s
In February of 1940 we saw the introduction of what may have been the first female superhero, created by Fletcher Hanks and appearing in Jungle Comics #2, Fantomah, Mystery Woman of the Jungle. Fantomah was a woman who protected her jungle with an array of supernatural abilities including flight, transmutation, and levitation. Fantomah’s comics were published by Fiction House, a publisher known for featuring progressive female characters at the time, including Sheena.
1941 brought in Miss Fury, a superhero created by female artist Tarpe Mills, and the most widely recognized female superhero: Wonder Woman. Princess Diana of Themyscira was a powerful woman, an Amazonian princess raised by her mother and aunts, who was depicted defeating an array of supervillains using an arsenal of advantaged technology. She was created by William Moulton Marston, who was inspired to make a female superhero by his wife, Elizabeth Hollowy, and their life partner, Olive Byrne. Her first appearances were brought to us by All-American Publications, one of the three companies that later merged to form DC Comics.
This era also saw a rise in heroine partners to male heroes, reflecting the growing numbers of women taking on jobs typically belonging to men during World War II. These ‘Partners’ were typically the wives or girlfriends of the heroes, brought in to help their partners. After WWII, the archetype of the Femme Fatale, a woman who refused to stay in her “proper” place, became popular as women were being pushed back into their more traditional roles with the end of the War.
1950’s - 60’s
The ‘50’s and ‘60s saw a decline in those female superheroes, or central female characters in general. In 1954, the Comics Magazine Association of America introduced a code in an attempt to regulate morals of the medium. They tried to create an industry-wide interest in the value of women in the home and the sanctity of marriage. DC Comics implemented their own company-wide regulation stating that women should be secondary in importance in their comics. These all fell in line with the end of the World War II, when the men returned home and the old societal norms were put back into place. However, over at Atlas Comics (known today as Marvel Comics) they were beginning to introduce new heroines, such as Invisible Girl, aka Susan Storm of the Fantastic Four.
1970’s - 80’s
Just like the societal movements during World War II, the feminist movement of the ‘70s was reflected in what’s considered the Bronze Age of Comics as the number of female superheroes increased. Some of them were unfortunately man-hating stereotypes but we also saw the creation of the Women’s Liberation Press, whose first publication was a comic titled That Ain’t Me Babe and featured popular female icons such as Supergirl and Betty & Veronica. They later rebranded to Wimmen’s Comix and continued their underground anthologies until 1992.
In 1977, Ms. Marvel was first introduced as an (albeit failed) attempt at a feminist hero. Marvel also gave their existing heroic women a revamp around the same time in The Uncanny X-Men (1975). Jean Grey’s alter ego Marvel Girl was renamed Phoenix and Lorna Dane became Polaris. This was also the introduction to the arguably most famous black hero, Storm, who was also one of the first female heroes to be portrayed as strong and capable from the beginning.
In the 1980’s these super women started seeing their first leadership roles. Up to this point, though we were seeing more and more heroines, they were still falling second-best to the men. Invisible Girl rebranded into Invisible Woman and chaired the Fantastic Four, while Wasp was given leadership in the Avengers.
1990’s - Present
Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin created a new hero known as Tank Girl, a punk aesthetic girl with a shaved head meant to represent a new modern woman, in the ‘90’s. Another growing trend with these heroes since the ‘90’s is queer identities. In 2006 Batwoman had a revamp that re-introduced her as an ex-military lesbian hero and in 2016 it Wonder Woman was canonically confirmed to be bisexual. Representation began to grow in comics in this modern era, we’re seeing more female superheroes as well as more queer heroes, more heroes of color, and more diverse religions and nationalities.
Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel is a young Muslim hero, inspired by one Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel, from whom she borrowed the name. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur features a 9-year-old African-American super-genius, Luna Lafayette, who shares a bond with Devil Dinosaur. DC Entertainment gave us a television show featuring Kara Danvers, Supergirl, in 2015 and Wonder Woman’s feature film in 2017. Marvel let us in on more of Black Widow’s backstory in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and introduced Scarlet Witch to the team. In 2018 Sony Entertainment’s Into the Spider-verse gave Spider-Gwen her moment on screen, and this year we got Carol Danvers, our newest iteration of Captain Marvel. Not only has she been given her own feature film, but she’s been given her place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, without spoiling too much, she’s being set up to be a key figure for the final movie in the MCU’s third phase, Avengers: Endgame.
The world of heroes has come a long way since Fantomah and Wonder Woman of the ‘40’s. Hopefully as we go on we’ll see even more female superheroes, more ladies starring in their own comics, shows, and films, and hopefully even more diverse representation amongst them.

Lady Death is in the Top 5 toughest female super heroes
Lady Death top 5 most powerful female super heroes
She might not be a household name like Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Black Widow or Jessica Jones but Lady Death has a dedicated following. During the late 1990's to the early 2000's there was an influx of popularity of female superheroes more so with the independent comic labels. Comic labels such as Harris Comics with Vampirella, Top Cow had WitchBlade and of course Chaos comics had Lady Death; these heroines were made the face of their respective company. This growing popularity of female superheroes was called the "Bad Girl Movement". If you ever get the opportunity read Lady Death. I highly recommend reading Lady Death be it the original chaos series or even the Avatar medieval era. The Avatar books are not bad either but the Chaos Comics are the standard for Lady Death reading and collecting. Her Chaos books can get a little pricey. Lady Death is very collectible the stories and the art work are premium so it is worth it. Lady Death was created by Brian Pulido and some of her best and most iconic art work was done by Steven Hughes. These books are for a mature readership they are very violent and they have a very high sexual undertone to them. In fact Chaos comics promotes Lady Death as being the female Super hero that has the largest cup size. There was a self titled animated movie featuring Lady Death and it was really good you could pick that up or stream it. It will give you a good idea of who Lady Death is as a character. How does Lady Death match up with other female super heroes?
I am going to start off by talking about the female super heroes I am sure Lady Death can defeat in a one on one battle. Along the same light as Lady Death; having most of the same readership as Lady Death is Vampirella. I actually like vampirella about the same as Lady Death. I own just as many Vampirella books as I do Lady Death books. The two heroines have cross over many times and i have read every time there was a guest appearance by either of them on their respective books. They almost always have a battles between one another. The fights are good and Vampirella holds her own but Lady Death always win the battle often killing Vampirella.
There has been a Vamperilla and Elektra crossover book but to my knowledge Elektra has never crossed over with Lady Death. I'm not sure there is a lot Elektra can do with Lady Death. Her martial arts would not weaken Lady Death; nor would Elektra's weaponry. Outside of some spooky magical weaponry given to her by the HAND I can not see Elektra lasting too long.Although Elektra being immortal would make for a great storyline crossover. So in that regard it would not be a complete loss for Elektra because Lady Death would kill her but she would come back to life. Death Lady would demolish Catwoman or Batgirl. They are not really in the same league as a Lady Grim Reaper demi-goddess. Their high intelligence and stealth would keep them alive for some time because they are smart enough not to engage Lady Death directly. But it would only be a matter of time before Lady Death catches up to either of them.
If Lady Death enter the world of the Avengers you would be hard press to find a heroine to vanquish her. Daisy Johnson (aka Quake) of Marvel's Agents of Shield would find it impossible to defeat Lady Death in a mortal contest. I think perhaps she could knock Lady Death back a few times with her wave pulse powers. Daisy would need the help of SHIELD and Ghost Rider to bring down Lady Death. Black Widow a SHIELD agent as well as an Avenger would do little to Lady Death. The battle would be similar to fights with Catwoman and Batgirl. Black Widow is not as stealth minded as those Dark Knight femme fatalés. I think Black Widow would be more direct and that would prove fatal. What about Carol Danvers, Ms. Marvel? Now we are talking, this would be a drawn out battle. Ms. Marvel has super strength, flight and near invulnerability. She received her powers from Kree biotechnology. It could really go either way in victory for both characters. I see Lady Death with a fraction of an edge over Ms. Marvel because of Lady Death lack of sympathy and more visceral approach. I think Ms Marvel being your typical super hero would hold back and try to appeal to Hope inside Lady Death and that is where Lady Death would get Carol Danvers. Mary Marvel (Ms. Shazam) would be a identical fight. She would hold her own because she gets her powers from magic and she is very powerful. She has similar powers to Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel. But she is a little too goodie two shoes and lacks experience. What about someone who is experienced in fight demigods on a regular basis? How would Xena the Warrior Princess fare against Lady Death. I do not think these two characters have ever crossed paths in the comics. In my opinion Xena could surprisingly hold her own against Lady or any high powered superhero. This would make for a very interesting story arch. The back drop time periods are about the same. There is a lot of mythology in both stories. Lady Death alter ego is named Hope a attractive Swedish blonde in her late twenties. Xena scribe Gabrielle an attractive blonde in her late twenties has a magical evil doppelganger named Hope. These two version of Hope look similar to one another and that would make a great crossing over point for a story line to begin. Ultimately I do not think Xena has enough offense to hang with Lady Death. When we think of Lady Death we are talking about someone who went to Hell itself defeated Lucifer AKA Satan, AKA The Devil; kicked his ass, kicked him out of his realm and governed it as the queen for awhile. Not only can she defeat most female super heroes but she would make short of most male super heroes.
So who would defeat Lady Death in a one on one battle? First up is the Maiden of Might herself, Kara Zor-el, Supergirl. Supergirl has very similar powers to Ms. Marvel and Ms. Shazam characters that I stated Lady Death would defeat in close contests. A battle between Supergirl and Lady Death would be a very close, world moving war as well. Supergirl can be harm effectively by Lady Death's Magic. I even believe Supergirl can be cut by Lady Death's sword. With all this said i do think when its all said done Supergirl would be victorious over Lady Death. Superman and Supergirl have a No Kill Policy; at least they do on paper. Superman has kill countless villains; in fact he kills Zod every time he spots him. I think Supergirl can muster the visceral rage enough to defeat Lady Death and would not hold back. Supergirl is more in touch with her Kryptonian side and is a lot more amoral than Superman. The DCTV CW version of Kara Danvers Supergirl not so much but in the comics she is more alien the Kal-el. The Supergirl of Superman/Batman by Michael Turner would fare better in battle with Lady Death than the DCTV CW Arrowverse Melissa Benoist Supergirl. Both versions of Supergirl would win. i think Supergirl ultimately could raise to the occasion with heroics and bravery that would give her the edge. Probably the most interesting fight for Lady Death would be with Wonder Woman. Actually Lady Death seems to be made to be a wonder woman adversary. She would fit in nicely in the Diana's heavily mythological themed world and vice versa i would have loved to see Wonder Woman in the chaos Universe battling Lady Death. Wonder Woman does not even pretend to have a No Kill Policy, just ask Max Lord or Ares. Wonder Woman can summon the power of the Gods and take the fight to Lady Death at a higher level than Supergirl. Wonder woman could bring the same heroic and bravery to the fight as Supergirl. Diana uses swords just as lady death and can easily have the sword endowed with magic to combat lady death's blood thirsty magic sword. The Princess of Themyscira would have an easier time vanquishing Lady Death than supergirl.
Putting Lady Death back in the Marvel Universe more specifically the X-men Universe we can can find a few heroines that could really ruin our Grim Reaper's day. I think Lady death would have hard time with Jean Grey (or even to a lesser extent Emma Frost). Jean Grey would just get in her mind and change her or send her away. Jean Grey could destory her mind if she so chooses. Then there that whole Phoenix force thing that Lady Death would have to contend with. Even if Lady Death somehow kills Jean Grey; it would not mean much because Jean is essentially immortal. In fact killing Jean Grey would be the last thing Lady Death would want to do because this could open the door to her becoming the Dark Phoenix. I have given much thought of a fight between Jean Grey's teammate Storm verses Lady Death and honestly I do not know who would win this one. The battle would be epic essentially Death verses Mother Nature. This is nearly a philosophical question. It is nearly impossible to say who would win that one. We are going to chop this one up as a draw between these mega power characters. Leaving the X-men's school for the gift but still staying in Marvel Universe and hopping back over to the Avengers neck of the woods Lady Death finds her toughest foe yet. These two character have nothing in common and no connection what so ever. This character is the She-Hulk of course. There would be very little Lady Death could do to Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk. Hope's magic does not really matter to the Savage She-Hulk. Lady Death's sword would not hurt The She-Hulk. Most of Lady Deaths offense would only fuel She-Hulk's rage making her more powerful. She Hulk would quickly pound Lady Death into oblivion.
I have Lady ranked as 5th toughest female superhero. Lady Death is actually more of a anti-hero to be perfectly honest. I have two characters from DC comics defeating her. I have two characters for marvel victorious over her. Storm and Emma frost are up in the air. Every other lady super hero would fall victim to the Lady Grim Reaper.

A Different Planet Entirely - Part 1 [YJ!Dick Grayson x Reader]
A/N: This is my first Dick Grayson story! I’m not sure how many parts this might be but there will be few. I had to come up with my own world for the story, because I couldn’t find one I could use in the DC-Verse. I’m sorry for any mistakes but I hope it’s enjoyed! (Any feedback is appreciated!)
An outcast from your home world, you live on Earth with your adoptive family. They don’t know what you are, just that you didn’t have a home when they found you wandering lost. Little did they know you were a danger in a world full of heroes and villains.
Warning: Swearing
[E/n] - Earth Name [E/l/n] - Earth Last Name [F/n] - First Name [L/n] - Last Name [h/c] - Hair Color
____
I’ve stayed off the radar since I was a child. My abilities kept buried, nothing but a student at Gotham Academy. Banned from my home because of my abilities to harness the power of the Sun through Heliokinesis. At least the public of my world thinks it was a ban but the royal family sent me away for my protection against my planet’s hunters.
I’m [E/n] [E/l/n] here on Earth but in reality I am [F/n] [L/n], Warrior of Tonatium. A planet of the Sun, it flourished with vegetation and wildlife. My people respected the planet and nature more than anything else. It was very similar to Earth only with less buildings as we tried to live around the land instead of through it.
I miss that world, but I am able to remember it when I look to the night sky because we may have different suns but we have the same stars.
Compared to my world I hate Earth, all of it’s crime and distaste. It’s disregard for nature and life to fulfill it’s human agendas. It sickens me, but this was the only place I can stay. Where I’m safe from the savages of my planet.
Crime is not something common in Tonatium, but there are some deplorables. Some who disregard the King & Queen’s laws, those are the ones who hunt me. Here I’m surrounded by the crime and killers of this world, but I am safe from the killers of mine.
Or at least that’s what I thought.
“[E/n] time to get up for school you don’t want to leave your sister and brother waiting!” Georgiana, my adoptive mother, yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
Sitting up I pushed off the blankets and rubbed my eyes, “Coming Georgiana.” I got out of bed and began to dress. Same uniform everyday: navy skirt, white blouse, red tie, and black vest. I hate the uniform, I prefer a pair of ripped jeans, cropped hoodie or leather jacket.
Leaving my [h/c] hair loose I went to eat breakfast. Descending the stairs my adoptive brother Liam greeted me at the bottom, he’s 13 and was making sure I was coming. “Hurry up!” he whined, “You’re the only person I know who enjoys that place” ruffling his hair when walking by.
Entering the kitchen I saw my 16 year old sister, Lane, and my adoptive father, Cain.
Picking up an apple I began to eat leaning against the counter. “[E/n] you’re 18, you should seriously be eating more than just an apple.” Cain scolded as I just shrugged my shoulders. Finishing it up I tossed the core into the trash before going and brushing my teeth.
Returning to my room I applied my make-up and grabbed my shoes and socks. Slipping those on before grabbing my bag. Walking to my nightstand I opened the small box on it before pulling out a necklace. It had my planet’s symbol on it, it was an amber stone with silver light rays emanating from it.
I slipped the clasp behind my neck before exiting my room.
After driving to the school, my two siblings quickly got out and headed to their desired friend groups. I on the other hand, did not have many friends. Only two, nothing impressive.
I walked into the school, ignoring anything and everything that didn’t have to do with the desired destination that was my locker.
Getting there I turned the dial putting in the combination. I grabbed the needed supplies for my classes, though before finishing my locker was pushed shut. “Hey!” I yelped, surprised by the sudden action.
“Hey beautiful” an all to familiar voice said. The school basketball star, “What do you want Kyle?” I groaned inputting the combination again.
“So you know the dance coming up? How’d you like to go with me?” he smirked looking me up and down. “Don’t you have a cheerleader you could ask?” I insinuated looking at him unimpressed before opening the locker again. His grin only widened, “Why ask them when you’re ten times the amount of beautiful” he flirted, I rolled my eyes. “Sorry but I don’t go to dances” I stated before closing the locker again and walking away, leaving him dumbfounded. His friends cracking up across the hallway.
I was walking to my class when my two friends came running up to me. “Oh my god [E/n] I’m seriously going to murder you” Sarah threatened with her hands on her hips. I looked at her a confused look decorating my features. “You did not turn down Kyle!” she scolded, “You’re kidding right, he was only asking because he wants to get in my pants” I asked her incredulously. “She has a point Sarah” our other friend added, “Thank you Nicole, thank you” I looked at her with a grateful smile.
“I-I… fine you’re right” she pouted, leading Nicole and I to laugh. The two soon straightened up after looking down the hallway, “What?” I questioned laughing. “Damn, he’s so stunning” Sarah commented staring at the figure down the hall.
“He’s literally perfect” Nicole stated next, I swear I could see the cartoon hearts floating around them.
I turned around and looked down the hall seeing the one and only Dick Grayson leisurely walking our way. As he passed his eyes fell on our group. “Hey, Nicole, Sarah,… [E/n]” he smirked on my name and winked. The two dumbfounded girls immediately turning their attention to me.
“Don’t stare it’s rude” I pointed out, not able to suppress my laughter at their ridiculous expressions. “What was that about?” Nicole marveled, still staring at me. “I don’t know, Dick Grayson being the flirt he is?” I suggested before the warning bell rang.
“We should get to class, later guys” I instructed before walking away from them. “We’re not done talking about this.” Sarah yelled causing me to laugh, raising a hand to them both.
I attended my classes, bored out of my mind. ‘Do all schools on Earth reteach the same shit, or is one just special? On Tonatium we barley ever had to reteach things.’ I thought listening to a repeat of the events of the American Civil War.
The day was finally drawing to an end as I made my way to my final class, there was this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Like something was off today. I shook it off just thinking it was stress for the upcoming finals and proceeded down the hall.
“Hey [E/n] reject anymore guys today” Sarah greeted teasingly. “Not that I know of” sarcastically smirking at her. Nicole laughed, always loving my sarcasm.
“You guys wanna hang out after school, go to eat or something?” Nicole offered looking at the both of us. “Damnit! We can’t turn down food and you know that!” I laughed as she smiled, “I know! That’s why I asked” leading to the three of us laughing.
“Hey [E/n]” A feminine voice came from behind me. I saw a girl from my physics class, we weren’t friends just classmates. “What’s up Sadie?” I furrowed my brow.
“There’s a pair of guys down there asking about a girl named [F/n]” on hearing that my heart stopped. “Strange name right? I thought maybe they just got your name wrong because it sounded similar in a way” she continued as I felt panic begin to run through me.
My gaze shot down the hallway meeting the men in question. They looked at me and then I saw it. The tattoos on their inner arm, the mark of a hunter. When they saw me they whispered to each other before beginning to casually walk down the hall.
“[E/n]? Hey? Are you okay?” Nicole shook my arm, but I was frozen in my state. I saw a malicious smirk pull at one of the men’s mouth.
“No. Fuck.” I muttered, taking a step back my grip on my books tightening. The panic turning to a fight or flight response as they stalked closer. Seeing one of them reach in their jacket, I saw a dagger from my world. The books slipped out of my hand as I took another step back.
“[E/n]! Hey what’s wrong?” Sarah took me by the shoulders making me look at her. “I need to get out of here” I pushed her away and Nicole caught her before turning and sprinting down the hallway.
Pushing people out my way, making my break for the doors. I heard screams of panic as I continued to run. Then a ringing, someone pulled the fire alarm. ‘No! How’d they find me? Fuck! They weren’t supposed to find me!’ I swore in my head as I was almost at the set of doors.
Rushing through them and noticing I was at the back of the school. Students were supposed to meet in the front. I turned to see the two hunters burst through the same door I just had come through.
They stopped upon seeing me. Reaching up I clutched my necklace, trying to hide the symbol.
“We’ve been looking for you for a long time” one snarled, his grip on his weapon tightening.
“If you lay a hand on me the royal family will see to your execution personally, I can promise you that” I threatened in hopes of deterring them. They only chuckled, “Oh yeah? Well I don’t see the King anywhere nearby.” The other smirked coming toward me.
Taking a step back I didn’t let them leave my sight as I felt my body temperature begin to rise. “My friends and I know you’re abilities sweetheart. Those and being a future royal guard make you top dollar in the slave trade” the same man mentioned. My grip on my necklace tightening.
“Wait, friends?” I muttered to myself. I heard something and turned around. by doing that I allowed someone to grab me by the throat and lift me in the air.
“Agh!” I grunted as I grabbed his arm. The three chuckled, the two others coming up next to their partner. “Now what are you going to do?” the first one mocked and I stared at the three.
The hand on my throat beginning to tighten, I flinched, I was losing oxygen and had to do something. I gripped the mans arm tighter. “Is that supposed to hurt?” he questioned teasing.
I only shook my head as my hands began to glow a violent orange-red color. “This is,” My skin on around my eyes beginning to glow the same color as my eyes turned a malevolent red. I ground my jaw as I put more force behind my grip, the burning on his arm increasing.
“Hey!” someone yelled but I ignored it as he began to screech in pain. Dropping me and cradling his arm, a black singe mark formed there.
I coughed and wheezed upon hitting the ground. I looked up to see the other two coming toward me with their daggers. Though before they could reach me a fist came into view, connecting to one of the men’s jaw. Sending him into the other.
Then I was greeted with blue eyes and a hand being offered. I looked up to see Dick Grayson standing there. I took it struggling to my feet, “Where’d you learn that?” I inquired catching my breath. “I could say the same thing” he let go of my hand as I could stand on my own. “Fair point” I acknowledged.
“Think you can control those powers?” He nonchalantly asked. I nodded, “I’ve had these powers under control since I was a child, I just don’t use them” he looked over to me confused at the statement. If he had powers like that, he’d have used them for the Justice League the moment they formed.
“Shall we?” I questioned motioning toward the two men getting up. Dick had knocked the other out. “We shall” he answered as the two charged at us.
One of the powers I have is Solar Construction, holding out my hand a small flame formed and my eyes turned red again before it morphed into an orange dagger, it would burn anyone else’s skin to the touch but I posses an immunity.
As they came at the both of us, I took one and Dick the other. Mine swung a fist at me but I swiftly moved the dagger slicing and burning his arm. When he yelled out I kicked him in the stomach before jumping and knocking him out with a tornado kick.
Dick had flipped his guy and knocked him out with a swift punch. “We make a good team” he stated walking over. “I guess so” I answered letting my body’s temperature cool back down. It had been 10 years since I had used my powers and it was just like riding a bike.
“So, yeah. You have explaining to do.” he looked over at me panting. “I could say the same thing” I smirked stealing his words from earlier, he let out a breathy laugh before pulling out his cell phone.
I sat down on the grass, bringing my hand to my necklace, “How’d they find me?” I murmured to myself. I didn’t notice but Dick had heard me and his eyes flickered my way.
Hanging up his phone he turned to me. “I have to take you somewhere” he told me offering a hand. “What about my brother and sister? and them” I pointed to the unconscious hunters, “Taken care of, now let’s go” he smirked and motioned me to follow. Which I was reluctant to at first.
“Where?” I cocked an eyebrow.
His smirk turned into a smile before saying, “You’ll see”
