FanFiciton Multiverse: The Emperor-Verse

Given the nature of my RWBY Reimagined AU, Saints of Remnant, I'm thinking compiling some of my fanfictions in a universe thats inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia which is implied to exist in this universe but never truly touched upon until a major crossover event and even then, its set after The Last Battle so Narnia is long gone, but it vaguely implied and referenced to explain how this multiverse works and even the origins of some worlds along utilizing the theology of my Catholic Faith, The Works of CS Lewis and Medieval Cosmology, since all these things in my opinion can help tie them all together.

The Emperor-Verse(link to the blog is in the title)

The Emperor-Verse is the fanfiction multiverse in which these stories take place, named after the Supreme Deity that rules these worlds The-Emperor-Of-All-That-Is which were created or adopted by The Great Prince and given The Breath of Life

My Catholic Faith along with the works of CS Lewis served great inspiration for this universe, but mostly its a prototype of one of my fictional universes, or perhaps you can call a ‘multiverse’, known as The Loreverse which you can find on my primary blog

It may feature a crossover involving five characters, two from our world which shares the same world as Fate in this case, jumping from world to world and bring some other characters across worlds depending on the situation

Now you’re probably asking

“Why are you doing this?”

Mostly because like I said, its a prototype of concepts and stories which these franchises I’m using I take heavy inspiration from, which will most likely become there own things mostly for The Lorverse.

If I used The Loreverse which I plan to make money on, it might lead to legal issues and I don't want that to happen.

“Why are you using your Religion?”

Mostly due to it being a strong foundation, notably theology, for most of my stories, there are many strong foundations of storytelling, religion, history, you can even fantasize science if you put the imagination, time, and effort into it.

After doing some soul searching and listening to the Narnia books on Audible, which Narnia is implied to exist, or I should say had existed, in this universe, and I might include elements of CS Lewis’ Space Trilogy

The multiverse takes these universes and blends them into my faith and its theology, and even uses medieval cosmology, and makes them more like swashbucklings epics and fairy stories.

“Isn’t this kind of entitled and disrespectful?”

Disagreement isn’t necessarily malicious, and entitlement is not inherently bad if its your opinions and subjective feelings which people are entitled to.

Tolkien was heavily inspired by his distaste for how Shakespeare handled certain concepts, such as the Ents when he was upset and dissatisfied that there were no walking talking trees in the Enchanted Fortest of Macbeth, and the Valar Aule the Smith and the origin of the Dwarves make him something of an Anti-Prometheus

Not to mention Philip Pullman, the author of His Dark Materials Trilogy, made it out his distaste how CS Lewis made the Chronicles of Narnia and his overall beef with Christianity, and nobody seems to take issue with that.

I’m not trying to spite anyone, I’m not trying to spite Monty Oum with my RWBY Reimagined AU, Especially when I never knew the guy, and that can be said with the other AUs I’m not trying to change canon or its “trajectory” whatever that means in this context. I’m not saying Pyrrha and Arkos and the current direction of RWBY post V3 was objectively bad, just not my taste, I expected it to be more like Star Wars or Avatar the Last Airbender, and ships I wanted akin to Ed and Winry, Han and Leia, Kagome and Inuyasha, I think you get the idea, and I know not everyone who liked it and are fine with how these other franchises turned out is an elitist about it, just in my experience, there were people who were. And I won’t touch upon the ships I have a beef with on this blog either.

And I’m not saying any of the franchises I’ve been covering are all objectively bad, even when they use concepts or take directions with them I don’t like due to personal tastes and preferences and “personal emotional beats”, I have my reasons for them just as you all have reasons for yours.

I am making these AU stories, which will eventually be revamped into original stories because looking back on them, their worlds, characters, concepts, ships I wanted, and other ideas all could have been in stories I believe are worth telling and I was disappointed and frustrated that they weren’t. That’s it.

Yeah, it may also be due to subjective and personal feelings, at least so I’ve been told, but I try to integrate that in a meaningful way. Once again, I have my reasons for them as you all do for yours.

“But isn’t this crossover and multiverse stuff, especially if your including Narnia and your religion kinda cringe?”

It’s mostly because helps organize my stories and gives a stable foundation when reimagining these stories, notably the magical nature of each world such as the nature of Remnant(Aura, Semblance, Faunus), Geass, Blue(BlazeBlue), Bionicle mysticism, and so-on and so-forth as different configurations of Deep Magic

I’m also utilizing medieval cosmology as Lewis did to explain the multiverse by organizing with every universe being a “Sphere” and our world, blended with the Fate Type Moon universe for practical purposes, being “The Firstborn Sphere” and the outermost sphere being Heaven or some had called “Aslan’s Country” or as its called in this Multiverse “The Great Empire” which also can be applied to the multiverse itself aka The Great Cosmic Sphere. and Hell or also known as “Tash’s Country” or “The Netherworld” exists completely outside of the multiverse 

As well using the Biblical Story of Genesis as a basis especially with Adam and Eve’s connection to many sentient species of the Multiverse.

Now personally when it comes to my faith, I can live with either creationism or theistic evolution, just anything besides outright materialism.

All of this just helps tie everything together...

And like I said, all in due time, these will be made into original stories for my original universe.

I can see why people think using my religion and Narnia is cringe due to the creatively bankrupt Pureflix movies are all feel-good with no substance written by mostly I like to call "Joel Olsteens" rather than the works of martyrs and church fathers, or the esteemed medievalist CS Lewis and his friend JRR Tolkien, a hardened veteran who's family and his own life was nurtured by a serious but still merry understanding of the faith.

And I'm not saying I'm on par with these guys, but I feel like if I take cue from them, I can be sincere in my work.

So I hope you all enjoy what I have to offer, which will most likely be put on AO3 and FanFiction.Net, and who knows, I might get a few artists to commission to redesign some characters or illustrate some scenes if anyone is up for it.

Well shoot, now she's conflicted. How does he nonchalantly say something like how important she is and then muddy the profound remark with not incurring her wrath. Doesn't he... even realize... that's going to...!! No. No! She's fine, really. Certainly between two reactions. But fine. Face remains flat, and she's glad that he's not keeping eye contact so more effort isn't needed to hold that mien.

"I-I see. I will choose to... find relief in that, and not-- anyway." For anyone else, this moment and dialogue would have an air of 'coolness' to it. But this is Jin Kisaragi, Eira knows that blunt statement is born from absentmindedness, not a tilt of charisma. Which only means his capacity to vanish was all too possible. Not a comforting thought, as much as he had just spoken against it somehow she's now... even more concerned.

She steps closer to him, now that the opportunity is granted with the phone. Eyes lowered to the screen after a curious glance up at Jin's expression.

"Ha. Were it anyone else, I'd say re-opening a dialogue with just a picture after that long of no contact would be ... well, ridiculous. Maybe even rude. But you're not anyone else, are you, Major Kisaragi?" Eira sighs, not unpleasantly, "...I can't think of anything more honest you could do than simply do just that." After all, a reply could be confused, inquiring, anything else. And. Jin being Jin. The conversation would go from there. And trying once a month? His sibling sounds quite unique herself.

"If you want my recommendation?" Because yes, Eira is already sensing the next quandary that would be tabled with this cobbled plan of action. "Send something simple, first. Like... a picture of them looking out a window."

There was a certain comfort that the Silver Phoenix's physical warmth brought the man. Her ability to counteract the natural chill of Yukianesa was certainly one of the many reasons that Jin enjoyed her presence over that of others. Still, her words do give him a slight moment of pause. If he were to not speak with her..? Usually, such a question would be perfect ammunition for one of his taunts. Nothing more than setup for their next argument and yet...he was only left thinking, hand moving to his chin in thought. His feelings for Eira had become...complicated, to say the least. Annoyingly so. A life without her certainly sounded less enjoyable. In more ways than one.

"Mmm...You're too important for that. Besides...Were I to cut you off entirely, I would likely incur your wrath. I can't say that I'm too keen on that idea..." The Hero of Ikaruga shrugs his shoulders, attempting to play his words off with nonchalance. This would all be something to think about later, at the very least...At the moment, however, he had another matter on his hands.

"As for my sister..."

He mutters, looking back to his phone, as he scrolls through the folder made specifically for pictures of his beloved cat. "She tries to call me about...Once every month or so? She's always been a persistent one about connecting with our siblings and I. She doesn't know that I have a cat, so I suppose that I could always...send her a picture of Luka?" Lord knew that he had an abundance to choose from...

Annon-Guy: In a Guilty Gear X BlazBlue scenario, how do you think a meeting between Salyer and Rachel would go? One noble vampire to another.

I have no idea who this Salyer character is... but I hope he's Dandy.

Just kidding~ Just kidding~

Slayer is more powerful than Normal Vampires, however Rachel Alucard is, as stated long ago a Kyuuketsuki... a traditional Vampire similar to Nekomata or other Demihuman subtypes.

The only real difference is that Rachel inherited a fragment of the Azure when she was born, and was able to tap in to her Drive and enhance her Sorcery as a Mage.

Slayer isn't exactly well-versed in Magic that we know of, since he uses mostly raw physical power and speed... though I imagine Slayer is aware of some aspects of Human knowledge on Magic when it comes to the Backyard.

The Azure, obviously is NOT the Backyard, for various reasons, but that doesn't mean Rachel isn't any less powerful because of her skill in Magic.

The Alucard Household is supposedly a line of Nobility in BlazBlue's world, so it would probably be much the same as if two noble houses met for a spot of tea and brunch!

Of course, Slayer actually prefers Wine to Tea, but that's just his preference at work.

I can't exactly fathom the niceties or polite banter that might be exchanged between two ancient Vampire Households, but such would probably occur in this case.

Rachel is a more passive individual compared to Slayer's rugged physical activities and hobbies, though I'd imagine he'd still respect her a great deal for inheriting her Father's house and Title.

Even so, I think Rachel would get along just fine with Sharon!

Annon-Guy: What's your opinion on the Split Timeline thing introduced in XBLAZE Lost Memories? You know, the idea of the XBLAZE World and the Bloodedge Experience World being seperate from the BlazBlue World and each othe I mean.

This is actually a really fun question, and I’ve been procrastinating on answering it because I have a whole theory related to it but I don’t want to get into it without being able to cite my sources, you know??? Unfortunately today will STILL not be the day I really get into it, because I’ve been in and out of the hospital and still have not found those sources I wanted. Whoops.

But let’s at least get to an initial answer. Usually I hate split timelines in stories; I like consistency and I like making huge conspiracy boards full of connections I’ve noticed. A split timeline is a smart move for writers when a series gets too big; it alleviates the pressure for absolute consistency between different authors. It gives them room to be more creative, to explore more- it also gives them room to make minor mistakes. But like I said, I really really love my concrete consistency. Split timelines kind of take away narrative tension for me, too; I can’t get too excited about what xyz event means for the rest of the series, because it may not have even happened.

Interestingly, I actually really like BB’s split timeline set up. This is a unique case, and I originally didn’t like it, but then I saw a post on… I can’t remember if it was Reddit or Steam or what, I want to find it so I can link back to it and discuss it more in depth. Someone was positing the theory/interpretation that the three separate “timelines” (BB, XBlaze, Bloodedge) actually do occur in one reality.

Remember how at the end of CF, Terumi (and, like, everyone a little bit) was trying to kill Amaterasu to end this world, and create a new one???

Or how Sechs in XBlaze wanted to “return everything to the Seithr,” also ending his world???

In the west, when we hear a story has "multiple timelines" or a "multiverse," we think of stories like Marvel and Homestuck. In these stories, there are infinite worlds operating in their own, separate 'bubbles,' but existing effectively simultaneously.

The post posited that BlazBlue’s setting uses a different interpretation of “multiple timelines/universes,” more rooted in Asian culture. Like concepts of reincarnation or the Hindu Yuga Cycle. In these types of stories, there are many 'worlds'- generally far too many for the human mind to count, but still a finite number. And only one exists at a time. The next is born when the previous dies.

The idea here is that each separate BB-verse setting happens in a linear order, one at a time, going about its own business until the world is ‘ended'- that is, where it dissolves and "returns to the Seithr," the Boundary.

From this, it is recreated and begins again- or the next setting begins. After enough repetitions, certain events may end up drastically different- or someone may manipulate the recreation process to influence the ‘new world.’

This would be Susano'o's plan at the end of CF, and part of the promise that Izanami was selling to everyone during the fight for the Azure.

This would also be what the Origin did to start the C-series, using Amaterasu to influence the world’s next ‘rebirth,’ and then refusing to move on/let anything change.

I wish I could get deeper into this subject, and I hope I do at some point, because it completely changed how I interpret BlazBlue’s setting and several plot points and I really love it. I wish it was a more popular interpretation in the fandom. I’d also like to look deeper into the story to see if I can cite some points that give evidence to this theory.

At some point when I have more energy I'd love to revisit this topic, explaining it better and citing some sources from the BB series that I believe support this interpretation.

whats the gathering of cloudy days au about? it looks cool

It's an AU more or less inspired by another game called BlazBlue. I'm not well versed enough to say much on it since it's been years and my memory's all but faded, but it involves possibilities being observed and sometimes brought into reality.

There's some videos on YouTube that could help with explaining, tho I kinda threw all the lore into a blender when making the AU so Idk how helpful it would be, but it's interesting nonetheless

Anyway, onto the actual AU!

The story is ultimately about trying to take back control of your own fate

Deep within the Abyss, which is the space between realities and time, Istaroth dreams

Teyvat had been destroyed in a calamity, but fate had been rewritten by Istaroth, who now weaves the Loom of Fate, and now the world is trapped in a time loop in an attempt to preserve it.

Venti was made with a piece of Istaroth's soul, subsequently gaining the ability to perceive possibilities and make them real, as well as see some of the other timelines that were abandoned by her.

Still, despite reality being rewritten to remove the true calamity that happened, another struck some years after the time loop's beginning, with Khaenri'ah as ground zero

The loop cycles through a period of 500 years, always ending at the time Venti is always fated to die and causes another calamity to occur

There are little changes here and there caused by other people that can make small possibilities real, called Observers (which include but aren't limited to: the other archons except Ei and Focalors, Mona, Shenhe, Bennett, Paimon, Baizhu, etc.) but no one could change the overall fate

That is, until the Traveller Twins arrive, who are beings outside of the world's reason and thus immune to the confines of fate.

The entire AU basically consists of people trying to get Istaroth to come out of the Abyss

This is a basic summary, but I would gladly talk about more details on it!

I actually made this after playing around with the concept of Venti as a Murakumo Unit (which are called Ad Oblivione in the AU) hence the whole "gather" and "clouds" thing in the name

As I understand it, yes! The sequel to Xblaze (Lost Memories) confirms this, if I'm remembering correctly. Bloodedge Experience also confirms this, as the protagonist Naoto and his sister share history with Mei Amanohokosaka (not the exact same Mei Amanohokosaka, of course, in the same way that Naoto shares history with Relius and Valkenhayn but not those of the C-series)

i wonder... i know xblaze is a separate possibility from the main blazblue universe but i know canonically an adjacent bloodedge experience-like thing happened in the main universe. did something like xblaze also happen? it would be interesting to track how magic, sorcery, science etc. evolved across time.

Another long night in a stretch of many. A harrowing feeling in work like this, where one can realize their brain and sleep schedule are beginning to register this convoluted schedule as the new normal. Enough to bring a shudder, but personal feelings must be cast away in the name of upholding the position and duties. Eira wouldn't allow herself to slack on it.

And of course-

Neither would Jin.

She wonders at times what creates the obstinate tenacity within his heart, and whether it can be considered a kindred feeling that spurned her forward. Likely not the case. Family was a sore topic for them both but for different reasons as she gleaned from the scant conversation on the topic. Curious.

Well. Nothing some food couldn't fix. She was hungry and had ordered some delivery for herself and others in the office. A large order. To consider it as a treat. The other employees in her branch had enjoyed it, now to cross over to Jin's and..

They meet in the hall, both of them holding a meal clearly not meant for themselves. Eira looks to the food, then back up into his face as he does the same. She clears her throat.

"....so, you ordered as well. Rather thoughtful Major Kisaragi. I was just in the middle of handing out some late meals for those burning the midnight oil myself. Well. Who might that be for?" Evasive evasive. He'll have to say what it's for first!

Sage (♂️) is a Tri-Blood (23 years old physically) [He's 1/3 Gold Dragoon, 1/3 Demon and 1/3 Human.] and is Silkoon's adopted older brother. He is also immortal and can't be killed. He is versed in a variety of fighting styles and magic.

Silkoon (♀️) is a human girl (15 years old) and is the current Crystal Guardian in place of her deceased mother. She can create Light Arrows and can communicate with Crystals in her world.

I do in fact follow the Scoob! We've been mutuals for a while now. I have no regrets and I've enjoyed chatting about our muses and things in DMs.

Why Did I Follow Them?: 

I can't remember who followed who first, but I don't doubt that Bear was involved in some way. Whilst I didn't know anything about BlazBlue, I was interested in Scoob's portrayal of Jin - and I've enjoyed it, and Jin's Ai: TSF verse.

How to take this? It's surprising in an add way. Jin had a curious way of showing his concern. Eira's expression is narrowed with a measure of amusement on her lips. She watches him as though he'd just said something quite strange. Because he did. In her eyes.

"Major Kisaragi, I understand I look quite dolled up compared to the usual state in which you see me. Between the kimono, makeup, and everything else I've done. Hmhm. I am however, still Eira Kestrova. Am I not? I don't need to be fussed over like a child. I still have my clutch. My pass is inside." She tuts, shaking her head before hefting the comical bag of plushies in place over her shoulder.

Best not call her strength into question either. The fact he presumed a proper number of plushies has thinned the ice already as it is.

"I won't worry about you, if you don't worry about me. Is that a fair deal? Or perhaps that's something you want... I'm kidding." Of course. "My platform is just down this way. If you'll be taking the blue line then it's over the next level, isn't it? Then... perhaps here is where we part ways?" She poses it as a rhetorical question, a smile up at the other.

"If it helps you get a better night's rest, I'll send message once I'm home. Will that suffice?"

"I took a train, same as you. Blue line. Also heading north. I would have ridden my bike, but...suits aren't the ideal gear for that. "

Not to mention all of the party-goers that would be on the streets at about this time. All-in-all, it was simply a safer option to take the trains for the night, even if Jin wasn't particularly a fan of just how busy and hectic they could get. At the very least, he did have some pleasant company, at least for the time being.

"And don't worry about me missing my train. They're running all night because of the festival. Besides, I'll feel more content knowing that you made it home safely...Not that I doubt your ability to do so on your own, of course."

And why would he? Eira and her magic were a force strong enough to rival Jin's own might. Although if one were to ask the man himself, he would argue that he was at least slightly stronger. So...if she was so capable, why did he feel the need to escort her? Was he just being a gentleman? Or perhaps there was a genuine concern, however small it may be. More thoughts to be brushed aside for later...

"Well, I think you certainly have enough stuffed animals to last you the rest of the year. Honestly, I wouldn't have taken you for the type to enjoy such a thing, had they not been the reason for our meeting here in the first place."

There's a chuckle before his eyes shoot up to one of the many clocks scattered throughout the station. It was 11:26. If the train was on time, then they would only have less than five minutes before boarding started. With that, the Hero of Ikaruga gives the woman's sleeve a tug and points toward the clock.

"It looks like the train is arriving soon. How close are we? And are you sure that you have everything that you need?"
