Oh dear, it seemed Edward had gotten himself a little lost. He had the habit of just wandering these days, head lost in thoughts. It seemed so much so that he wasn't even sure where he was, was it where he had been or something.

But something felt off and he couldn't place his finger on it. Right now he's looking around, obviously confused and even looking a little lost. He's just looking for someone that he could ask for help.

When the clock strikes upon the fifth hour, an inky, black hand reaches out from the mirror's surface towards Dennis, aiming for his throat. The shade within the mirror maintains its mimicked look of the teen upon the glass, but its physical form looks anything but human as it slowly grows and takes shape while aiming its spindly fingers for his throat. Come here, it whispers, hisses, smiles, Let me speak for you, boy. I'll help you give a piece of your mind to all of them.

Dennis only hesitates for a second before he grabs the spray bottle of holy water and douses the mirror generously with it. Then, after the disgusting, void-like hand retreats back within the confines of the mirror with a pained hiss, he grabs a paper towel, wipes the glass off, and douses it again - just for good measure.

Not putting up with this shit today, Satan. Not anymore.

Blue Exorcist AU.  

Jinx has two hounds that appeared as her familiars when she was young. She doesn’t remember summoning them—they’ve just always been there as far as she’s concerned. It’s not like she signed some fancy contract or went through some big dramatic ritual. One day, they were just there, snarling, watching, waiting. 

And honestly? She’s fine with that. 

The hounds respond to Jinx and only Jinx—loyal, terrifying, and utterly unpredictable, just like her. They are her greatest weapons and her worst curse, thriving off her instability. The more emotional she gets, the bigger, stronger, and more uncontrollable they become. They love it when she’s a mess. When she’s unconscious or too weak, they hover around her like shadows, protective but draining her life away like parasites in the process. 

She can hear the hounds in her mind, whispering things just quiet enough to be unsettling, just loud enough to get under her skin. They twist her thoughts, make her second-guess people, push her to see the world as they do—as prey, as threats, as something to tear apart. But Jinx? She doesn’t just sit there and take it. 

She argues with them like they’re old drinking buddies, trading jabs, laughing at their cryptic warnings, calling them names like Toothy and Droolbag just to annoy them. People think she’s talking to herself, which isn’t entirely wrong. 

But even she knows the truth: she’s bonded to them. They protect her. She protects them. 

And that’s where the real problem starts. 

Because the more they feed off her, the more they change her. 

Jinx ran alone. Living rogue with her familiars. They helped protect her, make her stronger, trained her to fight by killing other demons around. The Order left her too it. She was just a wild card, but she was killing demons. It is only when she starts to lose herself a little more that they become concerned.

Mephisto (who probably had an eye on her occasionally) sends exorcists to contain her. Probably for his own amusement he has her enrolled into the order where she struggles with authority and almost everything else. The only good thing is the food, the beds, and the access to weapons.

Changes to her are under the cut .

Stage one (Mild Effects) 

At first, it’s almost fun. A game. She’s always been fast, but now she’s faster. Her reflexes are sharp, almost too sharp. Her eyes flash pink when she’s riled up, her teeth look just a little too wolfish when she grins. 

She forgets small things—nothing major, just details. Where she left a weapon. A conversation from earlier. She laughs it off. Brain’s just a little scrambled, that’s all. Happens. 

She can still control them. Mostly. 

Stage Two (midway to losing herself) 

Her skin pales, veins darken beneath the surface, and her eyes stay pink, even when she’s calm (which is rare, anyway). 

The memory loss gets worse. She wakes up in places she doesn’t remember going to. People talk to her like they know her, but she can’t recall their names.  

The hounds speak louder now—overlapping, chattering, laughing. Their voices blend with hers, distorting her words in ways that make people uneasy. 

And when she laughs, it's... wrong. It echoes. It drags at the edges, like something else is laughing with her. 

Stage Three (Near Total Corruption) NOT YET REACHED 

She barely recognises people anymore unless they make her feel something—rage, fear, amusement. If there’s no emotion tied to them? They’re just another faceless blur. 

Claw marks appear on her arms, her back, her sides—except no one sees the hounds touch her. It’s like they’re tearing their way out of her, piece by piece. 

Her pupils are slitted, inhuman—sometimes gold, sometimes red, always predatory. 

And when she speaks, sometimes it’s not just her voice anymore. 

Final Stage? 

There’s a theory: separate her from the hounds, and she dies. 

But no one knows if that’s true—because no one’s been stupid enough to try. 

The exorcists can’t agree on what to do. Can she be saved? Or do they just put her down?

There were gusts of wind all over town, was it the start of a twister? An incoming hurricane?? No one knew, however, the source of these raging winds were the doing of one azure-haired warrior.   ❝   𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬.   ❞  He said as he stood at the edge of a building and glanced down. “Not one of them could see these creatures..but why? Or better yet what makes me so special that I CAN see them?” Was it because he’s a half saiyan? No, that couldn’t be the reason.

He’s scoured the continents of this Earth and there’s no sign of anything that shared similarities to his own earth besides the humans. Then there were also these creatures that he’s slain but unfortunately, the people are incredibly OBLIVIOUS to these monsters. So much so that he has to swiftly rid of the ones he sees with blinding speed, rendering himself invisible to the average person as well. “Well..it’s time to find out where I am.” Trunks hops off the building and gradually flies down until his boots clicks upon the earth within an alley.

Yes! This way no one had seen him and he would have to explain this rather ODD ability of his…that is so he thought until he turned to see a young woman staring him dead to rights. “Uh-oh..umm hello Miss.” He said rather awkwardly.
