- blackwhistle and longsnout are brothers and the same age; longsnout just refuses to retire

- comfreypelt and buzzardsplash are siblings; swanshadow is their mother.

- velvetshade and bluespring are siblings; owlpaw is velvetshade's first (but, as she is a permanent queen, likely not only) son

- shortpaw, lightpaw, and heronpaw are siblings. their mother is willownose

- squirrelface is redfeather's son

- cedarsplinter and willownose are sisters

- spottedpaw and sharppaw are about the same age and from the same cattery. they are related, but it is unknown how; the two treat one another as siblings

- pebblesky does not have kin in riverclan, but you can see her children in thunderclan. they have... mixed opinions about her new residence, to say the least

- riverclan, as of late, has become one of the clans most likely to take in kittypets and loners, which is also probably part of why tulipstar is so friendly to antstar. this also explains why they have brighter, 'prettier' coat colors.

- swanshadow was a kittypet but joined riverclan when she was a young adult.

- spottedpaw and sharppaw escaped the bengal cattery they grew up in to join riverclan. it's likely this is the same cattery rosettepelt, shadowclan's medicine cat, came from, but it isn't certainly the case, as rosettepelt was already adopted into a family before she joined shadowclan.

- minkfur is the leading nursery queen. troutheart is a warrior and will resume her duties when she finishes nursing the kits.

- riverclan is on the smaller side of the clans, which they aren't pleased with because it gives thunderclan a strong advantage.
