It is past my bedtime and I'm drowsy from antihistamine and I need sleeby, but damn if I wasn't going to get this out before going to bed. You know how Shiver has a way with sharks, right? Well, seems it had the unintended effect of making my Sharkling kids develop celebrity crushes. That's putting Shiver in an awkward situation given that not only are they very much committed to the rest of Deep Cut over randos who've fallen into the trap of parasocial relationships, but more importantly I'm pretty sure they're an adult and Velvet and Mako are both 16...here's hoping they can figure out how to let these two down easy XD

And the last of the Splatfest pieces, Velvet and Mako managed to get ink-viable just in time for Final Fest! Velvet chose Team Chaos, while Mako chose Team Order, both solely because of color preference XD

I'm not the first person to come up with a concept for Sharklings and I won't be the last, but I made said concept a while back for very specific reasons and got attached to the "default" ones so as a lot of you probably know by now I turned them into full characters. Here's Velvet! She can and will throw bucketfuls of ink your way. ...and I realize that I forgot to show how Sharklings are able to use ink at all in both this and the pic I'm working on of the boy one. Woops. XD

Velvet Greeneland

A fairly chill yet somewhat chaotic Sharkling girl. When Sharklings were first able to participate in Turf War, Velvet initially didn't want to get into it. But after her much less confident buddy decided to give it a go, she decided to join in to give him support and she's really glad she has because it turns out to be a lot of fun! When not throwing ink everywhere, Velvet really enjoys participating in slam poetry events. Weapon - Soda Slosher Velvet really likes both regular Splat Bombs and Burst Bombs, so she really loves using a weapon that can in a sense use both. Plus its color scheme is really fun!

Decided to turn my Sharkling concept models (well my take on the concept anyway, everyone else who’s made their own Sharkling concept is equally valid :D ) into full-on OCs, so here’s the girl first. Her name’s Velvet Greeneland, don’t have much of a proper bio yet and I literally just came up with her surname. I’ll come up with some more solid stuff for her laaaater and update this with said info. EDIT: Bio made!
