when i started really getting into romance books, bright-eyed and naive, i thought: i probably won't be a romcom girlie. maybe dark romance bc i for sure should be medicated. sedated in the very least. but no. it's monster romances. it just hits different when you know you'd read a book about an oc smashing a hot version of Frankenstein, and obtaining the knowledge Claimed by Cthulhu is a title of interest.
