We have a few ideas and they work but this is a great one. I did make a modified Volkswagen the newer versions and into a Porsche I have several of them and there's a new technique or two and it will work very well since I did them and it's been four or five years and I can easily change it so the look is important what you can really get the thing too it's almost identical it looks so hot and cool you would want to go buy one and he says he wants to get one the kid was about $3,000 for real these days probably 2000 and he says now we're talking he can get the Volkswagen for 2000 and he can get the kit for 2000 they only needs a little bit of money for gas but still it's right there close rather than far and it would be a fun fun vehicle and the new kits are high quality. But I hear what he's saying I'll go to like a meat or a show we know where she goes and I can kind of intercept her and I can bring samples of the new stuff and show how it's easier it works a little better place to show that you can be done and I'll tell you what the Volkswagen goes 160 mph the Volkswagen with the Porsche kit and usually it's a 911 or 928 goes about 250 mph it's way too fast for a friend here but I'll tell you what there's a little gleam in his eye and he says you have to tell me in like Scott Summers. So that's good to know it's real but he keeps joking these people are going to be hallucinating. I'm going to get going on this idea you're trying to interceptor so here she is in the market for doing it
Bg
Yeah I'm in the market for doing it. All the time. And with someone different so it doesn't turn out to be stupid and not necessarily someone is really small LOL. No BG is much bigger than CAA
Megan Merkel
I was exciting to you Megan but please calm down. We have to get it going we have to have a meeting and you and the husband too and I like him. So good. We're going to jacuzzi try and guess who's feet it is and it might be someone else in a snorkel that's great news. So we are going to have to do that and he wants before and it would be us as usual this one matches the Tommy F stuff more than anything we're not sure why he would be having one and a friend here says he knows Tommy F and he knows his guys and their Jersey shore the Metro and Porsche has not changed from the lawyer image but it has added a metro image with the button down and you can see it in the movie flashdance. So we're going to play that because I get it
Crissy
It's true it's all kind of car now I'm starting to see something we could do that and he says I can swing it was not too much money my dad's check and if I lose it don't get any money I sell the car like I did before and said that too he said save me up a lot of money it's good and stuff maybe doing that too and taking it easy there's no way to go for real but insurance probably very low because it's a kid car they don't ensure them for much liability doesn't cost too much we're getting ready for this this is awesome.

4x4 spotlights
New Zealand, with its diverse landscapes and rugged terrains, provides the perfect backdrop for off-road adventures. For enthusiasts seeking to explore the great outdoors, having the right 4WD accessories is paramount. In this article, we delve into the world of 4WD Accessories in NZ, exploring the array of 4x4 parts and off-road gear designed to enhance and elevate your off-road experience.
The Thrill of Off-Roading in New Zealand
With its mountains, forests, and coastal landscapes, New Zealand beckons adventure seekers to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations. Whether it's traversing through muddy trails, conquering steep inclines, or fording rivers, the country's diverse topography makes it an off-roader's paradise.
Essential 4x4 Parts for New Zealand Adventures
a. **Suspension Systems:** The varied terrains of New Zealand demand robust suspension systems to absorb shocks and provide a smoother ride. Lift kits and upgraded shocks are popular choices among off-road enthusiasts.
b. **Tyres and Wheels:** Choosing the right tyres for off-road adventures is crucial. All-terrain or mud-terrain tyres, paired with durable off-road wheels, ensure optimal traction on different surfaces.
c. **Bull Bars and Bumpers:** Protecting your vehicle from potential obstacles is essential. Bull bars and off-road bumpers not only add a rugged aesthetic but also shield the front of your 4WD from rocks, branches, and other hazards.
d. **Winches:** When tackling challenging terrains, a reliable winch can be a lifesaver. Whether pulling your 4x4 out of a sticky situation or assisting fellow off-roaders, a high-quality winch is an indispensable tool.
4x4 Spotlights
When the sun sets over the New Zealand landscapes, the need for reliable illumination becomes even more crucial. 4x4 spotlights, designed for off-road use, are a game-changer for night-time adventures. These powerful lights can pierce through the darkness, providing a focused and far-reaching beam that enhances visibility on the trail. Whether you're navigating through dense forests, rocky terrain, or simply setting up camp after sundown, 4x4 spotlights add an extra layer of safety and convenience to your off-road journey in the Kiwi wilderness. With various beam patterns and brightness options, these spotlights offer versatility to cater to different off-road scenarios, ensuring that your adventures continue seamlessly even after the sun has dipped below the horizon.
Off-Road Gear to Enhance Your Adventure
a. **Roof Racks and Storage Solutions:** Maximize your cargo space with roof racks and storage solutions. Perfect for carrying camping gear, kayaks, or additional supplies, these accessories enhance the practicality of your 4WD.
b. **LED Light Bars:** Illuminate the path ahead with powerful LED light bars. In the remote areas of New Zealand, where darkness can be overwhelming, these lights provide enhanced visibility during night-time adventures.
c. **Snorkels:** For water crossings and river fordings, snorkels are essential to keep your engine's air intake above water level. This prevents water damage and ensures your 4WD remains operational in challenging conditions.
d. **Recovery Gear:** Be prepared for the unexpected with recovery gear, including tow straps, shackles, and traction mats. These items can prove invaluable in situations where your 4x4 needs assistance or recovery.
Customizing Your 4WD Experience
One of the joys of off-roading is the ability to customize your 4WD according to your preferences and specific needs. Whether it's adding a rooftop tent for camping adventures or installing a snorkel for river crossings, the customization options are vast, allowing you to tailor your vehicle to the demands of your off-road explorations.
For off-road enthusiasts in New Zealand, 4WD accessories are more than just additions to their vehicles – they are tools that unlock the full potential of their off-road adventures. Whether you're navigating the challenging tracks of the South Island or exploring the North Island's diverse landscapes, investing in quality 4x4 parts and off-road gear is the key to a safer, more enjoyable, and unforgettable off-road experience in the land of the long white cloud.

What Gear Should You Bring for Your Adventure Trip?
Any adventure trip requires the right amount of planning and preparation. Every decision is pivotal, from buying or renting the right gear to acclimatizing for the long haul to even deciding between driving and renting a car at Menorca.  If you go via a tourism company, they will provide the essential gear and equipment, but if you plan your trip on your own, our checklist will give you a comprehensive idea.
Learn About the Place
A basic rule for trekking, hiking, or camping trips is to look up the place and get a general idea about the climate, weather, altitude, transportation, network connectivity, permits, and accessibility. Knowing this will help you pack your gear, clothes, and other essentials accordingly. For instance, knowing the altitude of a place you will be trekking up to will determine whether you need to acclimatize your body or require any special physical training.
Essentials for a Cycling Trip
Like car rental companies in Menorca, you have companies that let you hire bicycles for cycling and hiking. Depending on the length of your ride, your actual need may vary.
Essentials: Bike, water, a smartphone with GPS route activated, sunglasses, helmet, sunscreen, and emergency contact number.
Food: Fresh fruits and nuts, nutrition bar, and electrolyte powder.
Accessories: Flashlights, bike lock, sweatbands, cycling jersey, gloves, cash, credit card, passport, first aid kit, camera, and travel insurance.
Essentials for Camping and Trekking Trips
Camping and trekking are usually multi-day adventures where you may have to endure extreme temperatures and survive high altitudes. Unless it is a base camp frequented by several campers, you may need to protect yourself and your camp from animals. Being properly clothed, particularly whether specific, is an essential factor.
Must-haves: Durable and good quality long and short sportswear, rainproof jacket, thermal wear, woolen caps, socks, gloves, hiking and trekking caps, gloves, and trekking shoes.
Essentials: Tents, mattresses, and blankets are as important as clothes. You can leave them in the trunk of your rented car or distribute the weight between you and your fellow trekkers.
Accessories: A solid backpack – probably a lightweight, water-resistant trekking backpack, with multiple compartments for storing a water bottle, camera, and phone; flashlight or headlight with spare or rechargeable batteries, sunglasses, portable charger, trekking pole, sleeping bag, insect repellant, handy Swiss tool kit, matchbox, and garbage disposal bag.
Nutrition: Water bottles or hiking thermos, water disinfectant, chips and cheese, energy bar & drinks, and dry fruits.
Others:  You may also need tissues, toiletries, sunscreen, OTC painkillers, and a first aid kit.
Note:  For cheap car hire services in Menorca or if you wish to rent a car at Menorca's airport in Mahon, you can book a tourist car online at Binicars. They are one of the largest car rental service providers in Menorca, with an exceptional fleet of cars and scooters for tourists. They also provide emergency roadside assistance and kid-elderly-friendly vehicles.
Essentials for Watersports
Tripping to Menorca and you don't head out in the water is next to impossible. Take a quick run through your luggage to see if you have the following items to enjoy an adventure in the waters of Menorca beaches.
Note:  Watersports gears, such as canoes, kayaks, snorkels, paddles, etc., are easily available for rent in the local shops.
Clothes:  Wear clothes suitable for hot weather, preferably light and breathable. Tshirts and shorts, or thin outerwear with sports innerwear would be perfect for watersports. Also, carry swimsuits.
Essentials: Sunscreen, waterproof goggles, sunglasses, flip-flops for the beach, towels, water and ice cooler, phone and waterproof phone cover, garbage disposal bag, and plastic bag to store your belongings.

Uaz 4x4 offroad racing 2015
Tumblr media
In Mexico, a special package called Vallarta Kit, named after the beach resort of Puerto Vallarta, was released featuring a winch, steering assembly and gearbox reinforcement, snorkel, suspension kit and LED headlights, among other extras. The 2.4-litre engine is paired with a four-speed transmission. The cabin is open and came with a detachable canvas roof a hard-top roof made of metal or fiberglass could be purchased as an accessory. Its PTO shafts are slightly longer than the shafts of the UAZ-469 vehicle. The UAZ-469B was available with a contact or contactless (on later models) electronic ignition system. In this version, the ground clearance is 220 mm and the drive axles use a single-stage main gear without the final drive. UAZ-469B – a "civilian" version of the UAZ-469. The UAZ-469 was exported to eighty countries, and between 1.65 to 2 million units of the vehicle and its variants were produced. The Hunter was originally sold in Germany and some Asian countries as the "UAZ Tigr" (Tiger), until General Motors complained that the name was too similar to the Opel Tigra, and in Germany, it was renamed " Baijah Taigah". However, the currently manufactured UAZ Hunter is an updated version of the old UAZ-469B. Manufacture of the UAZ-31512 for the Russian Army continued until 2011, while manufacture for the civilian market was discontinued due to new emission standards. After slight modernisation in 1985, due to new industry designation standards, they were renamed: the UAZ-469 became the UAZ-3151, while the UAZ-469B became the UAZ-31512. Modifications include a basic UAZ-469B with ground clearance of 220 mm (8.7 in), and a specialized military UAZ-469, with ground clearance increased to 300 mm (12 in). Hanoi, Vietnam (2003–present, Thanh Xuan Industry Automobile-Motorbike Co.) Ganja, Azerbaijan (2005-present, Ganja Auto Plant) Bad Nauheim, Germany (2003–2007, Baijah Automotive)Ĭamagüey, Cuba (2003–present, Empresa Reparadora José Smith Comas)

A guide to the Essentials of your First Off-Road Adventure
Some people enjoy driving on straight, well-metaled roads with traffic lights, signs, and laws that indicate when and where they can travel. It's easy. It's just another day at the office. Well-intention ed.
Then, there comes in the adrenaline junkies who not only love to drive, yet also thrive for it.
Off-Roading is a sport that is widely popular because of the high in adrenaline and adventure and as a result, makes its way too risky as well. However, no matter how much fun off-roading or camping in the dark forest sounds exciting it is important to keep some of the essentials for your first off-road adventure. Along with that, we will be providing you a handy guide which would be including the vocabulary you need to know, mostly about the parts of your vehicle. For instance, many of you might not be aware of the high lifter snorkel kit and what does it include. Let Us Get Started With This -
The Essentials You Need For Your First Off-Road
Never Forget the First Aid
Off-road trails are typically found in rural areas that are several miles from any medical facilities. As a result, you can evaluate your fitness levels before embarking on a multi-day off-roading adventure. Regardless of your fitness, you should still have a first-aid kit with you. Plus, you cannot ignore the unpredictable nature of the off-roading trials, many people experience health problems. Therefore, for these situations, a first aid kit can be your only best friend. Make sure that the kit includes emergency medical supplies and keep it in the easily accessible part of your ride.
Tumblr media
Advance in Protective Accessories
4x4s are very powerful vehicles. Even the most powerful vehicles, however, are vulnerable to injury, particularly on unforgiving off-road trails. You should invest in attachments that shield your 4x4 not only from the outside but also from the inside if you want to reduce the harm it sustains. Aftermarket bumpers, which protect the exterior from damage, and vehicle snorkel kits, which provide protection while navigating through deep water, are two of the most common protective accessories.
Take A long A Whistle
You can't expect the same level of mobile connectivity on off-road trails as you can in the region. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you actually need assistance, you'll need a way to reach out to others. All you'll need is a good old whistle to get the job done. Locals are always drawn to whistles, and it could mean the difference between getting out of a precarious situation and getting trapped in one.
The Locking Differential
The wheel turn speed is regulated by a "diff lock." To compensate for the terrain, the wheels normally spin at different speeds. Adjustments would be made automatically by the car's machine. Modern cars only need the push of a button to unlock the lockers, while older cars need manual locking. As a result, the wheels will spin at the same rate. When you're stuck, this is critical because the machine will offer more power to the wheel with the least resistance, exacerbating the problem.
Below given are some certain equipment that you will be most likely to take along with you on the average off-road adventure.
An extra full gas tank
A high lift jack
High lifter snorkel
A shovel
Extra water for the radiator
Spare tire and tools to change tires
Tow rope

Isuzu’s D-Max GO2 is a special build project that has been customised to show just how easily a D-Max can be converted into an extreme off-roader. Isuzu have chosen a Utah manual in Splash White as the base truck but this is a used vehicle which has been converted post-registration.  It’s had some extensive work done and this has been built using Isuzu accessories and other aftermarket parts.
The GO2 features all of the standard Utah specification (including projector headlights and LED daytime running lights) plus: ARB heavy-duty Sahara bar fitted with a Britpart Pulling Power Winch.  Underneath is a full underguard kit to protect the engine and transmission.  The fuel tank on a D-Max already has protection as standard but this underguard kit also includes a rear differential guard.  The Sahara bar covers over where the front fog lights would normally be so as a replacement Isuzu have added a roof mounted Lazer Light bar. A Safari snorkel will ensure that a constant source of cool, clean and dry air is available to the engine whilst increasing the GO2’s wading depth. Heavy duty, chassis mounted side steps replace the standard Utah side steps and act as rock sliders - shielding the truck from rocks and debris.
The standard Utah 18” alloys have been replaced with smaller 16” wheels and 33” General Grabber X3 Mud Terrain tyres for added performance when the going gets tough.  The new wheels offer fantastic off-road capability and work together with an enhanced Pedders braking system - heavy duty vented discs and part ceramic pads at the front and a replacement drum and disc brake combination at the rear.  This retains the advantage of having a drum handbrake, which is best for off-road environments, but upgrades the vehicle braking to vented disc brakes.
Pedders TrakRyder eXtreme suspension has been added; consisting of two front adjustable coilovers and two rear leaf springs combined with adjustable shock absorbers.  A Pedders TrakRyder front upper wishbones have also been installed as well as a Pedders rear anti-roll bar kit.  The D-Max GO2 has also been fitted with a raising kit to add extra ground clearance to help with off-road performance. A lockable rear differential has also been incorporated for increased off-road assistance. A lockable diff locks both rear wheels together so they both turn at the same rate and this increased traction will definitely help get the D-Max GO2 out of any sticky situations.
There’s another heavy-duty bumper at the rear, this time with a rear step tow bar.  The rear parking sensors had to be disconnected to fit this but the Utah’s reversing camera, which is positioned in the tailgate handle, has been retained.  The tailgate opens gently thanks to the spring-loaded hinges on the Pro-Lift tailgate assist. A fully lockable and retractable Mountain Top roller cover has been fitted to the load bed.  The GO2 has an under-rail load liner (to accommodate the Mountain Top roller cover) and also benefits from an aluminium bed drawer system with lockable storage compartments.
There’s keyless entry to access the D-Max GO2 plus a push button start system. Heavy-duty seat covers have been fitted, front and rear, to help preserve the  standard Utah leather upholstery from mud and dirt - rubber trays have also been added to protect the floor.
Whilst the GO2 was created to be exceptionally capable off-road it still retains all the Utah’s comfort features: automatic air conditioning, a 7" multi-function colour touchscreen, satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™, Bluetooth® connectivity, DAB radio, eight speakers and front and rear USB ports.
The GO2 is an example of how to prepare a D-Max for off-road use and here at Motoring Musings; Motorsport Mutterings we'd expect the GO2 to build on the solid off-road reputation of the standard truck.

The Year Mike Pike had of the Corvette second 2006 or something to meet him outside I think 2010 and there's still quite a bit of them and they don't drive them around. They don't look that cool they don't go that fast and it goes a lot of gas and you can make the car work with a body kit tires rims and you wouldn't have to replace the entire car. You would not be able to have the snorkel which looks stupid anyways and the doors would be new but the tunnel would be normal size and you can't really change that you could do look funny. But you can get this almost exact car and there's a real big reason to do it it's much faster when you apply these and you be replacing panels and you can keep your original panels and it just bolt up it's really easy it's painfully easy they would not have to be metal either and he says you'd be losing a lot of weight that's true if you took this and you put the new panels on you lose about 380 lb at in the motor is pretty big and you would be lower we'd have a new suspension it's very high performance and new high performance tires and rims and it would go now from about 2:20 top speed miles per hour to about 380 miles per hour it's a conversion kit but boy doesn't look nice. And later on we could do the full body kit for that those years Corvette and Camaro and firebird and we can convert them all and use a mid-engine and it's an American car and we can also do the Ford GT now you're wondering off of what vehicle and it's not obvious but a regular mustang you can take the panels off and it looks almost the same with new panels and tires rims suspension and we recommend the top end in exhaust with that the saline would go 420 and the Ford GT mustang would go 440 mph it's well worth it and there's one more we were looking at and it's a kit like this it's for a different vehicle it's a Ferrari everybody wants one and that would go on the Camaro the firebird mustang challengers charger all of them you can have a particular model change the suspension tires rims and voila and we could have a high performance package for the engine and the exhaust and I'll tell you what you have to do the exhaust you might as well do the top end but you have to do it so you have to include that or you can actually you know we can start without it and we really should and then the next step up you never three or four steps then you would do the mid engine change but really this would be very hot and a very good idea and the rear end you'd stick out a little bit more but the car is almost the same the front end is a little longer but it looks just as cool or a little cooler as it looks like a c3 and it's an intense look at it on the AMX that we looked at that was like a c3 that it is it's intense and that was made to be electric and gas and or a fly car and Dave and Carol came up with it and it blew the doors off everything you couldn't read that thing if you paid anybody any kind of money it was so darn fast and we did make a bunch but these are very popular vehicles and very hot the Lamborghini and we're talking about Asian vehicles and we have to start somewhere nobody wants to do the kit is it too hard and these are easy to do and our son can do it because you don't mess with these mechanical and people have been doing these plants on wide body it's forever and you can call it like a full wide body kit his other terms they're not planned Owens their panalized panalized body kits or panalized wide body kit and people like it. And we are going to go ahead and try to get this going first and the other thing is it's easier and it's easier for people to do when we did acquire parts of companies but we do not have one of theirs dang it and we need to have it's not really sure why it's a shield but yeah you can do it without it and we'll probably end up doing that.
There's three more models that we would do one of course is the Lamborghini and there's a couple different versions depends which car and the second one is it's a very hot car everyone wants one that's a lotus and there's less work you have to do a certain models the third one is there's a rare car it's a Pantera everybody wants one everyone it's true and it's mid-engine but there's a particular vehicle you can use a couple is Ford mustang or the Chevy and the front end is a little higher on the Pantera and we could put a different Hood it's kind of really cool we should just do it and it's cheap here okay can't do anything perfect but we don't want to do the electric moped it's just dangerous out there but these have a cage and he wants to do the quick assemble cage and I've got tears in my eyes because it's so much fun that a retarded man could put one of these kits together and we're talking about the basic kit and the change out the panels yes also a retarded man like Trump or the pseudo empire can do the drop on kit it's really a pull-up but you can't do the drop on it's too hard to deliver but yeah they can do that and also bja and yes Brad and of course Jason and Jason's kids can all do this and the hardest part is the frame getting it to fit right and putting it in right aligning it right getting it to level off all that stuff is going to be done by us and he said no s*** and it was Dave he was trying to make it and we need that we need people to get their s*** together a little it's very simple and we're going to start working on it and he wants me to go to the group with proposals as we're part of the group and for this frame I tell you what the proposal for these panel wide body kits and say we introduce them from China and they'd have to be kind of crappy material but up to like maybe 400 miles an hour I'll tell you what they probably won't go faster it kind of chicken s**** but really rims and tires and he says you can lower it you lower the suspension that's not a bad idea actually because people won't change the suspension and the tires and rims using this kind of a kit to start and I'm thinking cheap now it's good that's the way we should do it there's a lot of cheap stuff we should be doing very cheap and this frame might save a lot of people it's going to work and we need it for our people and we're going to show you what it is

This is terrible stop saying this weird s*** so we're having a little argument and we're young and she's resting on me is she okay or those fleet gone it's almost gone only about 100 billion left and do we want those ships or yeah we want them so we can cut them off and chase them but it will chase us that happens we know we're doing and it'll be over pretty soon she's happy about it and they're quieter yeah we don't like your new idea either and her does and she says no she might

Lexus J201: The Off-Roader’s Fantasy
Tumblr media
Lexus LX
At first glance, the Lexus LX570 impresses with its large proportions and showy looks. But what might not be immediately obvious to the passerby, is that hidden underneath all the luxury and glamour, is a highly capable off-road vehicle the likes of Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco and Mercedes G-Class.
Tumblr media
2021 Lexus LX570
Lexus has been known for its off-road capable vehicles for decades now. The two key models include the LX and GX, both of which exist thanks to the Toyota Land Cruiser, which they are based on. With versatile performance on any terrain, the LX570 boasts excellent body stability on uneven surfaces, responsive steering, adaptive air suspension, crawl control, real-time four-wheel-drive with active traction control and 7000-lb towing capacity. It is a tough brick that likes to get its shoes dirty.
For those who desire to get more out of their LX, either new or old, there is a plethora of aftermarket parts and upgrades available that further enhance its off-road capabilities. Everything from lift kits, to body kits, light bars, snorkels, tires, wheels, brakes, suspension… and the list goes on. Upgrading your car with aftermarket performance parts is a great way to improve its functionality and to personalize it. With the vast amount of parts available for the LX570, there is everything one needs to make it their dream off-roader.
J201 Concept
The J201 Concept is an LX570 that has been fine-tuned with aftermarket performance parts. Its inspiration comes from the large community of Lexus SUV owners who love to venture off-road and explore the great outdoors. Lexus calls this group of people “Experimental Adventurers,” and has built the J201 Concept with them in mind. The name “J201” comes from the internal model code for the LX. J201 is the chassis code, which is well known among off-roading enthusiasts.

The J201 “Concept” isn’t a concept in the traditional sense, with one-off parts and a non production spec design. Rather, this is a standard LX570 with real world aftermarket parts from real brands, built to showcase the versatile capabilities of the LX platform. While the J201 Concept likely won’t make it to production, you can build one just like it using all the same parts. And if a new LX570 is pricey, older models of the LX, GX and Land Cruiser can be picked up for cheap. Even without all the fancy tech of a new LX570, they are nevertheless great platforms for driving off the beaten path and enjoying some outdoors.
The J201 is currently competing in the all-female Rebelle Rally, a week long event where participants are tasked with navigating across more than 1,200 miles of treacherous Nevada and California desert without a GPS or cell phone, moving from checkpoint to checkpoint using physical maps and a compass. With two expert drivers/navigators behind the wheel, I have no doubt the J201 will perform spectacularly.

Top 4 Best Intakes For Toyota Tacoma
The Toyota Tacoma started just before the Tundra and paved the way for Toyota to produce a full-size truck. Although being the smaller variant, the Tacoma picked up massive popularity as Toyota had great success with their trucks after the Hilux. With Toyota producing highly reliable pickup trucks for a few decades, they finally decided to pick up the pace with a completely new chassis and body styling.
Taking a step closer to the modern era, Toyota released the Tacoma which featured rounded body lines. With more trucks taking on a futuristic approach to the styling the Tacoma hit right at home for many enthusiasts. Offering a multitude of drivetrain and amenity options is what made the Tacoma so popular to the American demographic. A 2.4L inline-four cylinder engine continued the trend of a small four-cylinder that provides immense reliability and fantastic gas mileage.
For those looking for a bit more power out of a four-cylinder, a 2.7L inline-four was included as well. Being that Toyota knew owners were going to want more a 3.4L V6 engine was offered that produced slightly under 200HP. In light and compact-sized truck, the V6 was a preferred option amongst many enthusiasts that were in the market for a truck. After putting the Tacoma through its paces, owners immediately knew it was a special vehicle.
Blazing through off-road trails and even climbing rocks, the Tacoma became a widely known vehicle for versatility and comfort. Soon after the first generation Tacoma took off, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) had greater plans with the small and nimble truck. Taking advantage of the V6 platform in the Tacoma, TRD offered a supercharger kit which is now produced by Magnuson.
The TRD off-road package offered a rear locking differential with 4×4 models that have a V6. Locking differentials were a game-changer once TRD started realizing the potential of the Tacoma. Moving on to their second generation and gaining traction with the off-road community, the Tacoma began to receive attention from all over.
Many owners found an issue with the intake system which prompted aftermarket manufacturers to engineer a better intake system to feed the engine much-needed air. Installing an intake on your Toyota Tacoma can drastically improve the performance. The larger diameter tubing allows more air to enter the engine and many aftermarket systems offer ducting to direct the coldest air possible towards the engine, or simply just enlarge the tubing diameter.
Take A Look At Our Top 4 Best Intakes For Your Toyota Tacoma
#1 HPS Silicone Air Intake Tube Post MAF
HPS developed an ingenious air intake tube that installs just after the MAF sensor. The purpose of the intake tube is to provide a larger diameter pipe which results in a higher volume able to be taken into the intake. With increased volume past the MAF sensor, the engine can breathe efficiently without having restrictions right before the throttle body.
The silicone construction is offered in black, red, or blue to add a sense of style to the engine bay or maintain a factory look. Silicone also improves heat dissipation to bring the intake air temperature (IAT) down significantly. With the decreased IAT, the 3.5L V6 under the hood can now breathe freely without restriction.
Dyno proven results validate the 11 HP and 13 lbs/ft of torque gain with the HPS silicone post-MAF intake tube. The power gain was achieved thanks to the increased tubing diameter and reduction in IAT. Silicone is heat resistant which makes a great substitution for the factory intake tubing as it significantly brings down IAT’s and reduces the chance of heat soak.

#2 Injen EVOLUTION Cold Air Intake System
Delivering the coldest air possible to the engine not only increases power but improves gas mileage as well. Installing the Injen EVOLUTION cold air intake system delivers more power, increased fuel economy, along with an improvement to the overall tone of the engine. The factory-like construction of the Injen intake makes for easy installation with extra improvements.
Simply installing a cold air intake, in general, is always beneficial to the Tacoma, but what makes the Injen cold air intake stand out is the snorkel like protrusion coming from the airbox. The protrusion routes to the front of the vehicle feeding the engine the coldest and densest air possible.
The roto-molded construction deflects heat and provides a factory fit and finish. Although the exterior of the tubing is rough, the inside is smooth which allows the air to transition through the intake with little to no turbulence. All hardware necessary for install is included with the Injen EVOLUTION cold air intake along with a high-quality air filter.
A reusable 8-layer oiled cotton gauze air filter provides exceptional filtration of any foreign debris. Dust, dirt, pollen, or bugs are no match for the Injen air filter included with the EVOLUTION cold air intake. A small window is built-in behind the Injen logo to view the state of the air filter and whether it needs to be cleaned or not. Cleaning the filter is made easy with the filter cleaning solution that can be purchase separately.

#3 aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake Performance Package
aFe provides the ultimate cold air intake performance package on the market currently. When it comes to performance, it runs in aFe’s blood and DNA which is expressed through the Momentum GT cold air intake performance package. Included with the performance package are a throttle body spacer, cold air intake system, two air filters, a dynamic air scoop, a pre-filter, and a filter restoration kit.
The throttle body spacer is stalled between the throttle body and the intake plenum. With helical grooves on the intake port, the air is accelerated and spun while entering the intake. The spiral effect results in improved fuel efficiency, throttle response, and better mid-range torque. Everything needed for installation is included in the package.
Being that this is a sealed intake, with the included dynamic air scoop nothing but the coldest air is directed to the engine. The included air filters are 100% washable and reusable after a long off-roading trip or a brutal monsoon season. For those extra dusty drives, a pre-filter is included to prevent any smaller dust particles from getting through the air filter.
Also included with the performance package is a filter restoration kit to bring your filters back to life. Have no fear of waiting the dreaded 24 hours for your filter to dry as there is a second filter included in the kit. When one filter gets dirty just swap it out and clean the spare at your leisure. Everything aFe provides is dyno tested and real-world tested to ensure a high-quality product that you can depend on.
