Can you guess how much my groceries cost in Vietnam? How much would something like this cost in the country you’re in? Eating plant based in Vietnam is not as difficult as people want to make it. I like to support local workers and also like not driving myself crazy trying to obtain this purity ideal. Sometimes I eat a meal that’s “100%” vegan (whatever that means to you) and sometimes I eat a meal that is vegetarian or would have been vegan if not for the fish sauce or meat broth in soups. I cook vegan at home and go to vegan restaurants on occasion but try to order as vegan as possible at non-veg places. Do the best you can with what you have and be grateful for every day you get to strive for better. I’m privileged to be able to choose.
