My Brackwood modern AU head cannons:
Vet Aeron - Davos routinely comes home to find that there’s an injured penguin in the bathtub and an orphaned fox resting by the fireplace.
Artist Davos - he makes really intense metalwork sculptures
Vegan Aeron - Davos struggling through various tofu dishes that he hates because he’s so down bad for that boy
Virgin Davos - his jealousy hits its peak when he finds out that Aeron has slept with someone before him
Aeron being in a bible study club with Aemond but really they just hang out, smoke and complain about their families.
More than one person has mistaken Aeron for a girl. Davos finds this hilarious
Davos saving all the cute animal videos he finds on TikTok to send to Aeron.
Epileptic Aeron and Davos going from freaking out and having no idea what to do when he has a seizure to being fully prepared and not letting anyone else help
oh these are so cute!!
Vet Aeron - Davos routinely comes home to find that there’s an injured penguin in the bathtub and an orphaned fox resting by the fireplace.
one thing about vet aeron is there's never a dull day with him and his small army of rescues. davos groans and acts annoyed sometimes but he does find it cute.
Artist Davos - he makes really intense metalwork sculptures
love this. can totally see davos as an artist, including sculpting. you know those hands know how to work! 👀
Vegan Aeron - Davos struggling through various tofu dishes that he hates because he’s so down bad for that boy
bless him, he's so far gone for aeron that even though he likes eating meat he'll try what aeron's eating and they do find stuff that davos really likes a lot. aeron slowly almost completely converts him. the blackwoods aren't happy with a bracken converting their boy! lol
Virgin Davos - his jealousy hits its peak when he finds out that Aeron has slept with someone before him
tbh one of my headcanons is that aeron was aware of his sexuality earlier than davos so he did experience a bit more than him (whether he had good or bad experiences, or both, it's up to the reader) before meeting davos and it's aeron that sometimes guides davos towards what feels best for both of them.
Aeron being in a bible study club with Aemond but really they just hang out, smoke and complain about their families.
it's so funny to imagine cute aeron sitting next to aemond who looks completely unhinged to everyone around them.
as a helaemond i have to insert this joke here but aemond just saying "fuck she's really beautiful" with aeron saying "dude that's your sister"
More than one person has mistaken Aeron for a girl. Davos finds this hilarious
it's not his fault he's a pretty boy!!
Davos saving all the cute animal videos he finds on TikTok to send to Aeron.
i just know davos is the type to send 20 tiktoks and make sure aeron watches them all
Epileptic Aeron and Davos going from freaking out and having no idea what to do when he has a seizure to being fully prepared and not letting anyone else help
davos learning how to take care of him when he has a seizure? aeron knowing he can count on davos to help? oof i love it

suguru as an orthodox christian guy. ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
Tumblr media
non-christians don't interact ONLY IF you find my posts disturbing!! empty blogs DON'T INTERACT!
reposts are highly appreciated!
once you get to know him, the assumptions about him being a cold guy who's rough on the edges are no more and he begins to come out of that shell people created for him. in truth, he's a really nice guy and patient...and he's got a cross around his neck too!
he'll do the cross before any activity or when he's feeling uneasy. he does it too often.
he has too many crucifixes and icons, he ends up giving them away to people.
convictions. they're the worst and they make his heart stop when he feels a burning feeling from within. he experiences them a little less dramatically than his church buddy, satoru, though.
he is indecisive about his love life. he isn't interested in marriage, but also wants to be a dad.
he makes gojo follow devotionals with him and he's always one step ahead.
nevermind, he is very much interested in celibacy and convent activities in the future.
he's always reminding his inner circle to say grace like it's a fire drill.
he's very traditional. you might catch him going vegan for two whole weeks.
fluent in greek. so fluent he has slip ups of words and or phrases during bible study or when he's talking generally.
isn't an elaborate decorator or organizer and only underlines verses with a black pen (he messes up his underlines sometimes).
secretly has an affinity for christian metal, but shhh because it's embarrassing and "satanic" 🤓.
does the cross everytime the church bells toll.

Me exposing the Astrology versus Christianity debate
I created a video on the situation I didn't know I could upload videos to Tumblr. I'll still provide a written or transcript version.
I constantly see a post about an ex astrologer that has met Jesus. Anyone that has read my first Tumblr post can see how I mentioned having to deal with lots of christians who went against astrology in my journey.
What I didn't mention was that I would always win those debates. Although I barely read the bible or knew anything in it. I had to find a mechanism to prove astrology is legit so obviously I then had to study lots of inaccuracies within the bible. Old or new testament but this video is focusing on the new testament and Jesus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a photo of Jesus in the oldest Ethiopian bible. Well first Jesus came from a Jewish sect that used to study astrology and implement it into their lives. This Jewish sect is known as the Essenes. They lived in many places but frequently occupied the Judean desert or the dead sea. Hence why mainly the dead sea scrolls talked about them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a part of their routines to study the cycles of the moon. My own personal beliefs are that they knew what the ascendant or rising sign was. Acts chapter 2 kinda referred to this daily routine. Pay attention to the nine o clock statements.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Compare what historian Josephus had said about the Essenes and that act verse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
9 o'clock is important. I can't remember how it goes but I think the ascendant or rising sun is most visible at that time. Anyone into astrology already knows the ascendant or the 1st house deals with body structure, skin color etc. Well the Essenes knew this too so they would determine things like if someone will grow up to have a "patchy beard."They had a serious infatuation with the moon in Taurus because they thought that would be a great time for money to flow greatly in Israel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could be wrong maybe it's them using the sun sign like how many use it today. For example I made a video on this but if you look at someone that has a sidereal sun Taurus. You would notice their face or head shape looks very similar to that of a bull. On the flip side the Essenes used terms like the "foot of the bull."
What comes to my mind when I hear that are constellations and nakshatras but who truly knows.
The Essenes had their own calendar and holidays even that was separate amongst the common Israeli. Jesus was actually the leader of this communist like Jewish sect called the Essenes. Jesus position was a guardian or a master. Which meant that he had full control over an organization that studied astrology. The guardian used to train new members of the Essenes (disciples.) This means Jesus taught astrology as well.
As you can imagine this organization is very similar to Freemasonry.
Tumblr media
Since it was mainly guys and barely any women were a part of this Jewish sect.Of course the new testament diminishes this Jewish sect a lot. Seemingly because apostle Paul took over and wanted to change the narrative.
Paul even dissed vegans and called them weak. The Essenes were strict vegans.
Tumblr media
Nope the pharisees didn't question Jesus because he ate meat. They questioned why he didn't follow the tradition of washing hands for a meal. Jesus's interpretation was that if the food is clean then his dirty hands won't make the food a person eats unclean. Jesus was questioned by the pharisees because he wasn't a part of that sect. Definitely he wasn't a Sadducee because the Essenes were poor. Historians like Josephus mentioned Jesus's disciples like John the Baptist being an Essene.
Tumblr media
You may have read about Jesus protesting in a temple. The Essenes were against sacrificing animals. You know what they did in the temples? They sacrificed animals. Jesus may have came across as a vigilante. It's because supposedly one of his proteges
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Was the owner of a protesting Jewish sect called the zealots. Although I can't confirm if that's the Judas discussed in the bible or if Jesus was affiliated with that organization. It's worth noting though because the Essenes were supposed to be docile but their master Jesus seemed very forceful at times.

are you religious? On account of all the recent bible posting. I'm not Christian myself but I have to hand it to them, the whole "eating Jesus's body and drinking his blood" is really cool
im actually not! well. idk. reading the bible and talking abt it rly makes me wanna be christian again.
tl;dr i am considering accepting jesus christ into my heart but i dont know if itll happen bc whenever i type or say anything slightly religious i cringe or make it into a joke. also sorry to any christian who finds my bible posting
i was raised catholic, went to church and bible study for 3 yrs, did my first communion, then dipped bc it was horrid. i was so so against being catholic u cannot imagine. i was against church, i was against begging some man in the sky for mercy, i was against their gay policy, i was against saying my pets had no soul- i was against absolutely everything except some bops in church
then i had my first big voluntary christian phase at 13-14 in which i drew more towards protestantism and attempted to read the bible cover to cover (i failed but theres a lot that i read.) i went to a lutheran hs for 2 yrs in seventh and eighth grade so that mightve influenced it tho i HATED monday morning worship at 7am and i cant believe its still happening even tho ppl routinely fainted and shit. bc u have to stand. the whole time
i also wanted to be a nun for a goooood while but turns out im just aroace and autistic (chastity and rigid rules sounds amazing to me huh)
so im 21 now and i started writing my angel demon story and i wanted to make heaven a cult like dystopia (and it turned into my own ranting at some points) and i wanted to give cassael actual bible-accurate problems. bible-accurate brainwashing lol it came to me because something i said abt them either on here or in rp made me remember that verse abt the yoke and stuff (my yoke is easy and my burden is light) and i was like wait i should read the bible and pick out the whumpiest worst most horrid most easy to misinterpret and turn horrible verses. so here i am.
but then i got rly rly into it. its remarkably easy to enjoy the story when im not reading the 1908 károli translation and spending all my spoons untangling the wording. and the thing is, i was always spiritual yknow. thats why i bounced so much between faiths and beliefs. ive followed the law of assumption stuff for a year or so now, i had genuine results from it- honestly everything i believed in has yielded good results for me always. whether it be christianity or paganism or loa. when i read the bible i DO feel loved even thru the incredible amount of horrid shit god does lol i felt loved at 13 and i feel loved now. so idk. im withholding judgement until i finish reading it but honestly nobody be surprised if i go back to my christian bs before the semester starts
oh thats another thing. im miserable lmao so not very hard for god to swoop in and be like hey do u wanna talk abt ur lord and saviour. me.
but im not rly gonna change in any way even if i do decide that tho, i think. my policy is already "be kind do good leave others alone". i dont think im gonna get preachy on here or anything. i mean has anyone seen much vegan posting from me? so i think im good
so . yea. sorry it turned into such a long post

Having a nice day so far. 😌 I went to church after seeing Micky in the morning since he worked later today. Then I was hanging out at lunch at church. Had a nice conversation with an older woman. She remembered I want to work on graphic novels, as I'm an artist and creative writer. She told me about her grandchildren reading The Adventure Bible, which is a graphic novel series about The Bible - I'm intrigued, and want to check it out too! 😋 I'm also anxious and excited about my baptism next Sunday ... and nervous about how can i help out in church. The Pastor I studied under for my baptism suggested the nursery / daycare as I love children, although I don't have much experience. I would like to work with children, aside from my graphic novels and art and stories, or become a baker and florist with a bakeshop-flowershop-bookshop combination with weekly art meetings and pastries focused on special dietary needs like celiac, gluten intolerance, vegan, keto, and such, or maybe a nurse, although i originally wanted to be a doctor (i actually wanted to be a pediatrician since I adored mine so much as a wee one) ... anyways a friend at church who does so himself said if I want to be a nurse, I could get a feel for it by volunteering first at the hospital like he does. I'm not sure what I want for my future, aside from my art and stories. I'll probably work towards SSI disability first, with SAGA cash assistance in the meantime. But Robbie said his girlfriend's mom could help him and me get an high-school education, and Robbie said I could do it online, which helps cos I'm easily overwhelmed and super shy and awkward cos of my social phobia, aaa ... like Pinoko-chan in Black Jack, eee ^^;

Is Satan Woke?
Stephen Jay Morris

©Scientific Morality
Just a refresher course into some American history: The Conservative conspiracy group, “The John Birch Society,” was the laughing stock of the USA during the early-to-mid sixties. I remember, as a child, how my uncle and my dad made jokes about them. In 1963, Bob Dylan wrote a song about them called, "John Birch Society Pananoid Blues. Then came the expressions, “There is a communist under every bed,” “Only Communists have beards,” and my favorite one, “Fluoride in the water supply is a communist plot!” The 1964 movie, “Dr.Strangelove, touches on this subject. Anti-Communist fever was high among those of the conservative and liberal camps back then.
Fast forward to the 21st Century, and one wimpy kid with a message board started to compile all of the conspiracy cliches he could find, put them into a blender, and out came the Qanon smoothie. He thought of these outlandish conspiracy scenarios, which if he’d written as fiction, no publisher would have touched them! They were fucking absurd! Like: Hillary Clinton ran a pedophile ring in the basement of a pizza shop. (Truth be told, this particular shop didn’t even have a basement.) So-called “Truth supporters” were so gullible that they bordered on Down’s Syndrome. They believed all the garbage that Qanon spewed! Well, as P.T. Barnum once said, “There’s a sucker born every minute!” W.C. Fields said, in a 1940s flick, “Never give a sucker an even break!” These Evangelical suckers are easy prey to exploit; i.e.: If you believe that Jesus literally walked on water, then you will believe anything.
This Syncretism of Qanon is really hilarious. Its followers are all in a “Satanic Panic.” First of all, every evil they profess contradicts all other nouns on the list. For example, “The People in Hollywood are Communist cannibals that eat children in the name of Satan!” What is wrong with that statement? Everything! This is just plain, idiotic name calling without any thought. If you think that common sense is the only path to wisdom, then you need more education! Nowadays, usage of the epitaph, “Communist,” is really lame. First of all, Communism does not believe in private companies. Matter of fact, Communist leaders from around the world were never fans of Hollywood movies. They thought that movies were capitalist propaganda. Second of all, Communists are mostly atheists and don’t believe in Satan, or even Santa Claus. Cannibals?! The majority of actors are either Vegan or Vegetarian. Leave it to the MAGA Republicans to not know the differences between Socialism and Communism, they don’t even know how Veganism and Vegetarianism differ. Did it ever occur to you that God gave you a brain for a reason? Studies show that most human beings use just 10% of theirs! You think that God is happy with that?!
Now on to this Satan thing; also known as The Devil, or Lucifer. Satanism was created by Anton LaVey in his work, “The Satanic Bible,” in 1969. Satanism is at the extreme end of philosopher, Ayn Rand’s, “Objectivism.” Ayn Rand believed in rational selfishness. Anton LaVey believed in Irrational Selfishness, i.e.: if someone violates your individualism, than kill them where they stand. Satanists don’t worship the Christian biblical Devil. They believe in the worship of one’s self as a god, which has nothing to do with religion. Theirs is more like Egotistical philosophy. If you possess an intense comprehension of the King James Bible, then you know that you must be a slave to God, or receive eternal damnation. As the story goes, the biblical devil, Lucifer, was an archangel in Heaven that wanted to be God, to which God said, ‘fuck that shit!’ He then kicked him out of Heaven and condemned him to Hell. Thus, Lucifer has been trying to corrupt human kind ever since.
Do you want to live in a theocratic regime with people who believe in superstitious crap like that? I don’t. The reason they spew all of these evil fairy tales is to scare you into accepting these Christo-Fascists to run your life. It’s done to make you feel that you are being inundated by the forces of evil! “The White Nationalist Christo-fascists are here to save the day!” No, they are not.

National Almond Day
Almonds, a bite-sized little nut common in trail mix and other breakfast and snack recipes. More likely than not, you’ve tried an almond before. But, did you know there is an entire day devoted to the celebration of almonds?! National Almond Day is a reason for foodies to celebrate!
It’s generally believed and agreed by historians (and food historians in particular) that almonds were one of the earliest cultivated foods by mankind. Almonds are mentioned as far back in history as the Bible! Although their first place of origin is debated, almonds were thought to have first been cultivated in China and Central Asia.
While traveling the Silk Road between Asia and the Mediterranean, explorers were said to snack on almonds during the long travel times. As explorers settled in the Mediterranean region, the trees began to grow in the area. As the trees spread throughout Europe, many of them clustered in Spain and Italy.
Almonds eventually made their journey to the United States in the mid-1700s. Historians believe they made their appearance on the trade ship brought to the US from Spain by the Franciscan Padres. The trees died out in the United States quite quickly as the soil and cultivation knowledge to keep the trees alive was inadequate. It was not until the 1800’s that almond trees were successfully grown and harvested in the States. By the end of the 1800s, the Sacramento and San Joaquin areas of California became the United State’s biggest almond producers.
Today, almonds symbolize a variety of things. The Bible tells the story of the rod that blossomed and bore almonds, making them a divine religious symbol. The early Romans gifted almonds to family and friends as fertility charms. These gifts were typically given at weddings. Today, sugared or frosted almonds are often given at American weddings to guests as a sign of happiness, wealth, and good fortune.
Health Benefits of Almonds
If you are still on the fence about enjoying almonds, you’ll be pleased to know they have a wide variety of health benefits. Almonds are high in fiber, which means they promote digestion and can give you extra good gut bacteria. Almonds, outside of their edible form, are great for your skin. If you suffer from dry, flaky, or irritated skin, you can apply almond oil or almond lotions to hydrate your skin and give you a dose of vitamin A.
If your hair needs a little bit of shine, consider adding an almond-based shampoo or conditioner.  Almonds have also been studied for their benefits in lowering your risk of heart disease! If you are dieting, this little nut can help to provide you with a quick snack to curb cravings, as it is high in plant proteins.
The nutrients in almonds have also been proven to help lower blood pressure and your risk for diabetes! They are also known for their high vitamin E content, their effectiveness at reducing cholesterol levels, and helping with weight loss, as well as being a vegan and lactose food alternative.
History of National Almond Day
While the origins of National Almond Day aren’t clear, today is the day to go nuts! The day even has its website! According to the site, this day celebrates food that is “Good for your heart. Good for your waistline. Good for your skin. What can’t almonds do?” The site also mentions that “it’s no wonder this ultimate superfood has its very own day of honor.” The site provides a variety of resources for almond lovers, from recipes, health studies, to a background on the development and harvesting of almonds.
How to Celebrate National Almond Day
National Almond Day celebrates all things almond, and rightly so, given their benefits! There are a variety of ways to celebrate almond day. If you want an easy way to celebrate, consider purchasing a pack of almonds and enjoying them as a snack! Almonds come in a variety of different flavor options, so if you’re tired of plain almonds, consider trying a new flavor! Try out some smoked, honey roasted, sriracha, jalapeno, ranch, or barbecue flavored almonds to switch it up!
If you aren’t a fan of eating almonds, try celebrating almonds in their other forms. Consider treating yourself and your body to an almond-based lotion, shampoo, or perfume!
Are you looking to spread the almond love to those around you? Consider baking a dinner or dessert using almonds. You can serve this for your family dinner or take it to a friend or loved one to enjoy. You can coat almonds in sugar, sesame seeds, or spices and bake them to create a simple and flavorful snack. For dinner, consider cooking green beans or other vegetables topped with herbs and sliced almonds! Looking to spice up your meat dish at dinner?
Consider coating your chicken, pork, or salmon in almond flour or chopped almond coating for a kick of flavor and crunch. For dessert, make almond marzipan or almond flour cake! Got a family member who is vegan or allergic to lactose? Drink almond milk or research wonderful vegan recipes using almonds instead of animal products!
Whether you enjoy eating plain almonds or not, these little nuts can be prepared wonderfully for any palette. From desserts to hearty dinners, to little snacks, to body products, the ways to celebrate almonds are infinite!

Let's Talk About Aging
Could you have the wrong attitude about aging and the elderly? Should your goal be to retire and cease being productive? What does the Bible say about aging? Is it better to listen to God when you are in your youth? What about later? Since physical life is temporary, should that motivate us to better obey God? What are some things we can do physically in order to be healthier? What about avoiding things like smoking, too much alcohol, and obesity? What about spiritual things such as prayer, Bible study, paying attention to church services, and fasting? Are there benefits responding to God sooner than later? Who is Jesus the author of ETERNAL SALVATION for? Steve Dupuie and Dr. Thiel go over these matters.

Let’s talk about aging
COGwriter
Pocket recommended the following article today from the Los Angeles Times related to aging:
You’re not gross and sad for getting older. Here’s how to think about aging instead
December 12, 2023
Connie Zweig first encountered her inner ageist on a cloudless spring day in Santa Monica about seven years ago.
The author and retired psychotherapist was enjoying lunch at her favorite vegan restaurant, Real Food Daily, when an old woman walked in and sat at the table next to her. The woman’s clothes were worn and tattered, her fingernails dirty, her hair unkempt. As she began to order free samples of food, presumably because she couldn’t afford to pay, Zweig noticed a feeling of disgust rising within her.
This is uncomfortable. I’ll never be like that. I feel sorry for her.
Then she caught herself, took a breath and stopped. …
“The voice in myself was attributing to her the traits I couldn’t look at in myself,” said Zweig, who was in her late 60s at the time. “I was getting old, I was getting more needy, more slow. I could risk poverty if something terrible happened.” …
If you’ve ever yanked a gray hair, made a joke about our aging political leadership or shaved a few years off your age in conversation, then you probably have an inner ageist too. Most of us do. This is the deep part of ourselves that has us convinced that becoming old makes us useless, worthless, ugly and irrelevant. It’s also the part that leads some of us to spend thousands of dollars each year to fight any sign of getting older with personal trainers, fillers, botox and a staunch refusal to slow down.
But the battle against age is ultimately unwinnable. No matter how old you are, aging is coming for you too. (Consider the alternative.) As Zweig says: “Aging is the one thing we all have in common.” …
“Our unconscious beliefs and biases about age shape how we experience it,” she said. “But that can change.” …
Many people deny death and that denial is building a charge in us around illness and death.
But when we are aware we have limited time, this time becomes so precious, and we want to spend it differently, and we want to prioritize and we want to really care about what is important to us. That changes everything. https://www.latimes.com/lifestyle/story/2023-12-12/how-to-embrace-getting-older-without-your-inner-ageist?utm_source=pocket-newtab-en-us
Yes, all are aging and will die. But yes, we can have a better attitude about it and take steps as we realize that this physical life is short.
Notice something that the Apostle Paul wrote”
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
Hebert W. Armstrong, the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, wrote the following related to attitudes about aging:
MILLIONS have been believing a myth that has brought on one of modern civilization’s greatest tragedies.
I saw a pitiful example of this one day in Miami. A few of my traveling team decided to take a drive over on Miami Beach. We crossed over near the southern end, then drove north to and through the luxury hotel area. But driving up from the southern end we passed first through a district of economy-class retirement hotels.
As we drove slowly by, our attention was arrested by the sight of many retired “elderly” — probably between the ages of 60 and 70 — sitting idly on front verandas passing away the time. It was the despondent, hopeless, beaten look on their faces that caught our attention and filled us with dismay. Plainly, they had nothing to look forward to. There was just a tired, uninterested, hopeless stare on their faces. They were just eking out an existence until finally death would deliver them from hopeless monotony.
I had to wonder: WHY should people believe in a myth that cheats millions out of one of the happiest times of life? WHY should the MILLIONS believe a myth that makes them old before their time and robs them of usefulness, vigor, sparkling interest in life, and real accomplishment?
I remember when I was a boy still growing up. My two grandfathers were dead, but my grandmothers, one in her late 50s, the other in her early 60s, were still living. Not that my ancestors died young. I remember, between ages 3 and 5, a great grandfather in his 90s and a great uncle, also in his 90s. My mother lived to age 95 1/2, and she had brothers and sisters who lived into their late 80s and 90s.
But my grandmothers, after about age 50 or 55, had changed their attire to dress like “old folks.” It has seemed to me that it must have become custom for people to think they are “growing old.” I have noticed that many young men, reaching somewhere around 25, begin to cultivate a changed personality, put on a facial expression, and adopt a manner of speech of one “more MATURE.” As they reach the later 40s and turn 50, they seem to feel they must talk, look, and act like they suppose the “middle-aged” ought to appear. And by or before 60, they seem to feel they have now become “old.” They appear to feel their usefulness is now over, and they must “retire.”
This feeling is so universal that many corporations have retirement programs timed to age 60 or 65.
Somehow, I never could quite understand that type of outlook on life. I have never reached “middle age,” at least not consciously — not in my mind and manner of thinking and acting. After age 83, I have enjoyed joking about being “37, going on 36.” I have simply been TOO BUSY to think of “growing old” or ever “retiring.”
One of our employees came to me at age 55. He wanted to retire. True, he had been on our payroll for some 25 or 30 years. He had been divorced and had married a widow who had a camper. She had a small income. “We can travel very cheaply,” he said, “and I want to get to travel and see some of the United States before I have to meet my Maker,” he said. He had already “grown old” — in his mind. Well, “as he thinketh in his heart, so is he,” said Solomon. (Armstrong HW. THE WESTERN WORLD’S GROWING TRAGEDY – GROWING OLD BEFORE OUR TIME. Plain Truth, December 1976)
Herbert W. Armstrong worked until he died at age 93 1/2. In my upper 60s, I also continue to work. We both dedicated our lives to strive to do and support the end-time work of God.
The Book of Ecclesiastes discusses being young and old and that even the young should remember God from the New Living Translation:
1 Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” 2 Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. 3 Remember him before your legs—the guards of your house—start to tremble; and before your shoulders—the strong men—stoop. Remember him before your teeth—your few remaining servants—stop grinding; and before your eyes—the women looking through the windows—see dimly.
4 Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint.
5 Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.
6 Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. 7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:1-7)
Yes, we should change and better serve God as soon as we can. And that even includes those who are elderly, as well as the young.
Jeremiah was inspired to write:
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. 26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. 27 It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.  (Lamentations 3:25-27)
Yes, it is better to start as young as you can to serve God.
The Psalmist wrote:
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Notice also the following:
25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken (Psalms 37:25)
Yes, all will either die first or get old. If you do not wish to ever be forsaken, live God’s righteous ways.
Remember, too, the Bible teaches:
172 … all Your commandments are righteousness. (Psalms 119:172)
And yes, you are better off keeping God’s commandments as soon as you can.
The Book of Psalms also teach:
4 “Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. (Psalms 39:4)
9 For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. 10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 11 Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. 12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.  (Psalms 90:9-12)
Realizing that we will die should motivate all of us to consider that we need our Saviour for salvation.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  (John 3:16)
9 … He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, (Hebrews 5:9)
Yes, we all get older everyday.
