" Are you not enjoying the party?" She asked, looking at the newcomer. " C´mon, you have to admit that was funny and the party is only in the middle. We do know how to throw epic parties. It´s a shame that Hell wasn´t available as a venue, we always have next year..."

A Night They Won’t Believe| Auggie x Viv Where: The Ballroom, @augustine-lycaon
Viv had to blink a few times as she made her way through one of the entrance portals, instinctively looking down to make sure she was in one piece. Although she was comfortable around most demons, she knew that there would be magic in the air-and magic meant witches. Despite the anxiety that flared around the idea of witches at the party, Vivian was determined to have a good time. The vampire had been talked into coming by quite a few people she’d grown close to around the city and she hoped it would be as fun as they talked it up. Once the blonde was sure she was okay, her eyes trailed around the room to take in the elegant and remarkable sight before her.
When the vampire was unable to locate a familiar face in the crowd, she beelined for her next greatest comfort, the bar. As she approached, she could see everyone with these odd-looking punches being served by the bartenders. Her curiosity was definitely peaked as she leaned against the bar, biting her lip as she contemplated ordering one for herself. As she pondered, she noticed an empty punch glass in front of the gentleman on the side of her. Leaning in close, Viv tapped him on the arm lightly to get his attention over the bustle of the crowd. “Uhm- Hi there! Mind if I ask how that was for you?”

louiegrimaldi:
Louie turned his head when he heard the voice. “I’m fine.” The witch answered, even the gardens didn’t seem to be able to jostle that default response from his mind just yet. “How are you? Not hoping to poison somebody, I hope.” Louie eyes warmed with some amusement as he glanced down at the toxic orchid’s Elijah was stood beside. “Or perhaps you’re more of an exhibitionist than I thought.” Louie’s eyes roamed to the couples Elijah had walked past with some of the same amusement, before it faded. “Interesting area they’ve created, isn’t it?”
-
“After the last one, I would prefer to avoid another death at this party.” With all the various drinks floating around though he wouldn’t be surprised if a few people would have to be treated for alcohol poisoning. “ I’m not quite sure what sort of spell is in effect here, but as for the second matter, I’m a fairly private person.” He came to stand closer to Louie now that he was sure he wasn’t under any particularly dangerous spells from the party. “You almost always say you’re ‘fine’ and half the time it doesn’t take a psychic to tell it’s a lie. So which one is it this evening?” It was much more direct than he would normally be, but Elijah kept his tone gentle, he didn’t want to sound like he was trying to interrogate Louie.

the bar | vivian & makena
@vivian-ambrose
Makena had stumbled into the library when the spell took hold to turn her into the corpse bride from the movie of the same name. The fake ribs she had painted onto her bodice now seemed quite real as she poked at her hollowed out torso. This would probably have scared most people but the witch found it fascinating as she made her way out of the library through the door and found herself in the castle’s banquet hall.
Making her way towards the bar, the witch-turned-zombie was still checking her currently decomposing and very blue-toned body out when she all but stumbled into a solid body and her eye popped out of its socket onto the ground and started rolling away.
“Oh my god!” Makena yelped, feeling tears welling up in her other eye as an overwhelming flurry of emotions took over. Such a cocktail of feelings was not the norm for the witch but she was too affected by the spell that had her taking on Emily’s traits right now to notice.

Chris was off to the side of the garden getting some air and just watching some of the other people who were outside. He noticed someone walking through one of the better lit areas of the garden and tilted his head to see who it was. He had to bite back a laugh when he recognized Matthew. The dracula costume was just a little too on the nose, especially given his jokes about the demon having a thing for vampires.
It didn’t look like he’d been noticed yet, so Chris gauged the distance between and used a bit of his speed to run up behind Matthew and tapped him on the shoulder. “Boo.” He didn’t think he would actually scare the demon, but it was halloween. You didn’t just say hello normally when you could be spooky. “Or whatever they say in transylvania.”

A smile died on her lips when she looked into his eyes. She knew him better than she probably did herself, or at least his expressions. Matthew still surprised her sometimes. During the party she lost sight of the other demon for a while and when their paths crossed again something wasn't right. Layla could feel it, now she just had to find Matthew and confirm her suspicion.
" There you are, my favorite being in the world!" It could be said that she was slightly drunk. " Do you want to play tag with me and the minotaur? No? We could paint your cape red and annoy the bull with it.Or later? Later is good. Can I sit here?”

Two Halves of a Whole Idiot| Chris x Viv Where: The Ballroom, @chris-elkar
Viv couldn’t deny that it was worth coming tonight from just watching everyone interact at the party. She found herself situated at the refreshments table, drink in one hand and bringing snacks to her lips with the other. An amused grin was plastered across her face as she watched people make fools of themselves thanks to what appeared to be spiked punch. The blonde vamp contemplated making her way over to the bar to try one for herself, but for now, she was content with just observing and being amused.
It was true that she didn’t have to eat anything, considering all the sustenance she actually required was in hand. Viv lightly swirled around the blood mixture cocktail in her hand before taking a small sip and continuing to eye the refreshments as she grazed on them. At the spotting of the candy corn dish, nearly untouched at that, she quickly made her way over. She had always been a fan of the sugary treat, much to everyone else’s shock. As she indulged herself, she felt someone come up on the side of her, turning to offer them some in case she was hogging it all, “Oh i’m sorry, did you want some candy c- oh god,” viv exclaimed, clutching her free hand to her non-beating heart when she locked eyes with the fellow. “Now that’s a costume,” she added with a chuckle at her own embarrassment at being scared. “Wait- are you the creepy guy from that space movie- Event Horizon??”

the gardens | izak & matthew
@izak-voros
This was not the first time Matthew was stepping into the gardens that night, but he was currently trying to find his way back to the entrance hall so that he could head out to the courtyard for some fresh air. It looked empty at the moment and Matthew stepped in and made his way to a more secluded part in the back, his black floor-length cape billowing behind him until he found a good spot and hid himself behind one of the Grecian statues on display.
The castle had been stifling him since he witnessed a scene that three very specific people had painted for him in the library. He had backed away immediately and left them to it, and instead went to find his own forms of distractions in the castle. Some of them had been very effective but they only lasted for so long. The crisp night air hit Matthew’s lungs as he took a deep breath to calm himself, though that did not do him much good. He was usually a lot better at compartmentalising such ridiculous emotions, but they seemed adamant on resurfacing again.
Matthew’s shoulders tensed when he sensed another presence step into the gardens, a familiar one that he both wished and did not wish to face. Not when he was feeling like this.
Deciding that he did not want to seem like a coward, the fallen deity stepped out from behind the statue to look at the other man. “You look like you’ve been enjoying the party...” He managed with a nonchalant tone even if he felt anything but.

“Chris!” Daphne exclaimed softly as she spotted her fledgling from across the ballroom floor. The vampiress had been spending time with Judas at the bar, allowing herself to divulge in some punch that was making her a lot more tipsy than she would usually be able to get. She approached him, wondering how he was getting on at his first event surrounded by so many demons. “How are you, sweetie?” She smiled, though it looked more eerie than usual on her painted black lips. “Are you an astronaut?” Daphne had been trying to stop calling Chris things that related to him being a ‘baby’ but it was difficult when he looked so cute.

" You just wanted to show off your chest, didn't you? I used to carry you around on my shoulders when you were little to show you off so can´t really fault you." The older elf looked at his son's attire raising his eyebrows." Don't move." He asked, pulling out his cell phone. " Your mom and sister made me promise to send them a pic. We had a bet and your sister won."
