Guys its actually happening guys we might see tortuga and varmijet make out this is crazy

I don't even know how any of this would happen, but like. Zach finds Artoo messing with his jet or something and is immediately like, "Um?? What do you think you're doing? That's my jet!"

And Artoo's head swivels to him and chirps and beeps away and Zach just looks offended and shouts, "You take that back right now! The Varmijet is state of the art!"

Artoo chirps and whistles some more and Zach manages to look even more offended somehow.

"So what if I named it after myself? At least I named it! You probably don't even have a name!"

And that's when Anakin, Obi-Wan, and the Kratt bros roll. Anakin looks immediately relieved and huffs out a, "There you are!" with sigh that draws an eye roll from Obi-Wan because he's had to use the exact same tone with Anakin in the last week.

Zach points accusingly at Artoo. "Is this your robot?"

"He's an astromech droid, and not technically? He's on lone from a friend."

"Well, he was trying to steal parts of my jet!" Zach snaps. "And! He called it ugly!"

Anakin sets his hands on his hips. "Artoo, we've talked about this. You can't just go pirating parts from other ships!"

Artoo chirps and whistles, sounding distinctly argumentative somehow and Anakin just massages his brow while Zach stares slack jawed.

"Dude. What'd he say?" Chris asks and Obi-Wan just shrugs.

"No, idea. Honestly, if your friend hadn't reacted I would've just continued assuming this was all part of Anakin's long running gag of actually being able to understand droids."

"You need to apologize," Anakin says flatly. Artoo starts beeping and whirring again, but Anakin continues. "We both know you wouldn't have been trying to steal those parts if you didn't think they were useful. Apologize."

Artoo makes several more noises, to which Zach once more takes visible offense.

"I don't care if you think his ship has a dumb name, that's not the point and you know it."

There's a low whirring noise which Martin thinks could almost be a sigh? Maybe? Either way Artoo swivels back to Zach and let's out a series of quieter chirps.

"Well. I guess I can forgive you," Zach grumbles. "And I'm sorry for saying you didn't have a name."

Anakin smiles and rubs the top of Artoo's head like he were tousling a little kid's hair. "Thank you, Artoo." He glances back up at Zach. "If you want I can help put back what he was trying to take."

Zach shrugs. "Yeah, why not. Less I have to do."

Anakin steps closer to get a look at the damage and gets his own chance to look offended when a Zachbot rushes at him, beeping and chirping loudly. "I just said I was going to fix it! I need to see it to fix it."

"It's okay," Zach waves dismissively. "Let him work."

Chris shakes his head. "This has got to be a joke, right? We're definitely being pranked right now, right?"

"I ask myself that every day and the answer has consistently been 'unfortunately not'," Obi-Wan grumbled.

Martin watches a moment longer before turning and walking away.

"Where are you going?" Chris asks.

"I'm gonna go get the rest of the crew to see if they speak robot," Martin calls back.

Tortuga and Varmijet AKA the Big Soft Excitable Wife and her Small Thin Grouchy Husband. She wants to do flips and he wants to shoot rockets. She wants to fly to the moon and he would like to fucking land already. SHE IS THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET CAPABLE OF MAKING HIM SMILE.

LOOK- Varmijet, to me, would be so happy being the most boring guy you'd ever meet with the most boring hobbies that somehow Torty finds totally endearing.

To me, Varmi is the kind of guy who, once he's finally settled with Torty, settles HARD into total boring domestic life. I'm talking dad belly on his skinny body, newspaper, house robe, silly fuzzy dog slippers his wife gave him, morning coffee and toast. I'm talking following the same exact boring routine every single day for the next 50 years.

I'm talking enjoying only the quietest, most introspective, and "old person" hobbies. Bird watching and model train label accuracy levels of mundane. Stamp collecting, paper airplanes, newspaper crossword puzzles, only reading books about 15th century hats or something.

Embracing house husband life because wow he doesn't have to do much to make their lives happy for once and her job is great so he doesn't HAVE to push himself to the extreme all the time. Making his wife breakfast because she is a whirlwind and he burns the eggs every time and every time she eats it anyways and tells him she likes it because they're HIS boring burnt eggs and he will not admit it would crush him if she ever pointed out he burnt them but she knows and she's not a great cook either.

His life sucked until he met her and then they fought because OBVIOUSLY what you do when you're attracted to a person is verbally dis them and cause bodily harm right? That's what his brothers always did??? But like NO she's perfect and soft and passionate and he wants to pull all his hair out and finally she's like ok you know what you're my passion project. And suddenly it wasn't him having to try and figure out How To Flirt And Be A Human Person, now she's just decided they're a couple and they can do couple things and he is massively introverted but she's basically the sun to him an all encompassing and terrifying ball of energy he adores way too much.

And so domestic married life has fixed this pathetic little meow meow of a man. Turns out life is a whole lot simpler when he just wants to chill and pet his weird cat that will not leave him alone and it chews on his slippers and coughs up hairballs on his pillow -never her pillow, how is that fair you little demon?- And he's happy and his wife is happy.

I feel in my heart that he's SUCH A BORING GUY who needs the enrichment of a very introverted and boring life of routines and soft pillows and coffee and crosswords and scrabble. Let the man know too many intricate facts about the history of old war planes that would bore anyone to tears EXCEPT Torty.

He's the guy who only knows how to hype one person: his wife, and nobody else. He will fight you in the pit if you dare look at her the wrong way but also he calls her names and she calls him names and they're allowed to only complain at each other and people think they hate each other and they're like "what gave you that idea i would die for him/her" and like two seconds ago they were threatening to murder each other over spilled coffee and mismatched socks and now she's braiding his hair while he tells her that he thinks "gerbil" is a stupid word.

Picture him sitting in old-timey pjs with a house robe on and the stupid fuzzy dog slippers and he's eating a bowl of some generic plain oat cereal and he's focusing WAY too hard on the crossword with Zakitty in his lap trying to chew on his sleeve. He calls out to his wife "Torty what's an 8 letter phrase you tell to someone you care about?"

"I LOVE YOU?" She calls back.

He half chokes on his cereal. "TORTY YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT-!"

And she comes in and looks at him confused because- "I'm your WIFE??"

This is a daily occurrence.

These two be pissing me off

Their...relationship..is SOOO FUCKING DIFFICULT FOR NO REASON, i still have no idea how to even make this pale ass mop confess or tortuga to confess to him, i have ideas...but it just doesnt make any sense

The only ideas i got, is that due to the abuse and neglect from his siblings, he's just at his lowest point that if he gets rejected he has nothing to lose and tries to...yk, or stay in his room to rot from the deep depression he's got i mean the angst is just crazy, nd tortuga is a little concerned on why varmijet is less...outside than usual i would say but then brush it off

HOWEVER..varmijets confession- while she rejected him because they are long-time enemies, sparked a deep feeling she never thought..would happen, i mean she started to have feelings for him over time (over time as in days or weeks) and thought maybe she could give him a second chance..

And....uhm, i guess she sneaked into his house or his room and..well idk how it goes but tortuga comforts him yada-yada and then they started to date...happy ending afterall right...???? Eeehhhh

I got nothing honestly thats the best i could give, i guess its what the people in the internet called it...comfort angst

Honestly i wouldnt even KNOW how they would start a relationship, like who will confess first??? Tortuga is too oblivious and unaware of his feelings for her, varmijet is too shy to EVEN confess her either, and even if he does confess, like donatajet said he'll get rejected by her because she's been his long time enemy and i mean..do you blame her?

Imagine your enemy that YOU thought both hated eachother and you fought with...suddenly confesses their love to you, wouldnt that be suspicious?
