Sommeren 2018 var en knallsommer over hele Norden, og kjeden opplevde tidlig et sug etter vifter og andre kjøleprodukter. Både Elkjøp og andre butikker ble utsolgt for en rekke produkter, og noen butikker opererte med ventelister. Det er tydelig at kjedens kunder har lært, og vil sikre seg at de har det de trenger før sommervarmen setter inn for fullt.

– Det var helt vill etterspørsel etter vifter i fjor sommer, og vi opplevde å bli utsolgt på rekordtid. Det virker som nordmenn ikke vil risikere å gå glipp av kjølige rom i år, noe vi ser på etterspørselen. Mange reserverer produkter allerede nå, så vi sørger for å fylle opp lagrene fortløpende nå gjennom mai og juni.
