reverse harem, my hero academia x fem!reader, slowburn
Ever since your Quirk first manifested, you’ve been the apple of everyone’s eye. With the goal of becoming a hero, you enroll to U.A. and soon find yourself drawing the attention of many. Will you form genuine connections with others, or is this all just your power's will?

You were four years old when it happened.
As far back as you could remember, you’d lived in an orphanage. You’d never met your real parents, nor did it seem like they had any intention of coming to get you, just based on how your caretakers would act. They tried to convince you that your parents must have had their reasons; that they might not have been in the right place to take care of you, but it served as little reassurance. You felt unwanted, unloved. You wondered what you could have possibly done that your own parents wouldn’t want to be with you—why all of these children were missing their families. You didn’t understand, but it felt unfair. For whatever reason, you were undesirable. At least, that’s the way you felt.
On a rather uneventful day, you were out on the playground with some of the other kids from the orphanage. They were all playing together, but you were off by the sandpit on your own, fiddling with the outfit on your doll. At some point a cluster of them had broken off, and one of the boys came right up to you, grinned, and snatched the doll straight out of your hands.
You frowned at him. “Give it back.”
“Nuh uh,” he jeered. “You’re always so boring, [Name]. You never play with the rest of us.”
“I’m not in the mood to play right now. Can you please give me my doll back?”
“What’s so fun about these dolls anyways?” The boy squinted at the toy in his hands, and without wasting a beat, popped one of the doll’s legs clean off. “Whoa!” he cried out. “They break so easily!”
You felt like you should be bursting into tears, but oddly enough, the tears didn’t come. You were eerily composed, a sense of calm washing over you. Something was telling you there was no reason to get worked up. You felt your chest growing warm, and your eyes began to glow a faint, pink shade. You stepped up to the boy and grabbed him by the wrist.
“You ruined my doll,” you said. “Apologize.”
“Huh—?” He stared back at you, dubious, and something akin to realization overtook his expression. He began to grow red in the cheeks, his breaths became irregular, and he swayed unsteadily on his own two feet. The boy stared down at the doll and its now missing leg in shock, as if he couldn’t believe what he’d just done. “I-I’m so sorry!” he spluttered. “I didn’t mean to… [Name]. I’m really, really sorry!”
You’d never seen the boy act like this before. He was always up to some sort of mischief, and it wasn’t uncommon for him to go around teasing the other girls. You glanced down to where your fingers were laced around his wrist. You tightened your grip, watching the way his blush only deepened.
“I want a new doll,” you told him.
“Of course! I’m so sorry… I’ll tell the supervisors what happened and get you a new one right away, I promise!”
Even his accomplices seemed to be confused. “Dude, why are you apologizing to her? She thinks she’s so much better than everyone else!”
“She thinks she’s too good to play with the rest of us!”
You pulled away from the first boy and stared at the other two. Still hesitant, you reached over and placed a hand on each of their shoulders. You felt something rushing or pulsing through your body. The air felt like it tasted richer, sweeter. And this time you were sure of it—the moment your hand made contact with their bodies, each of the boys grew red in the face and started rocking on their feet as if they were drunk.
“Apologize,” you ordered again.
“We’re sorry, [Name]!”
“So sorry…”
You took a step back and marveled at what had just happened. All three of them were staring at you with flushed, puffy cheeks, as if they were awaiting your next command. Your small limbs were practically oozing with power. You were sure that this must have been what everyone was always talking about—the birth of your Quirk.
“You guys can leave me alone now,” you said, crouching back down inside the sandpit. “Please make sure I get a new doll and tell the supervisors that you were the reason it broke in the first place.”
They nodded their heads furiously, already rushing over to confess their wrongdoings. You hugged your knees to your chest and inhaled shakily. You didn’t know exactly what kind of power it was, but the feeling of others being so helpless before you… it was oddly exhilarating.
—
You explained to the caretakers the gist of what had happened, and they began speculating as to what type of power you had. It was worth noting that while some became more interested in you as a result of your newly-developed Quirk, others were a bit more apprehensive after finding out what had happened to the three boys. The teachers and caretakers instructed you not to use your Quirk on others needlessly, since you presumably had a power that could control people.
Of course, you didn’t listen.
The next couple of weeks cleared up some questions you had about your Quirk. To be more exact, you weren't consciously using it. It was a difficult power to control, and you would find that it activated on its own without your awareness. It became evident that your Quirk didn’t simply enable you to control others; there were other aspects to it that you were struggling to grasp. You were too young and naive to make sense of it all, but the one thing that was seemingly apparent was that your powers relied on attracting others to you.
You’d been rather quiet and reserved for the majority of your stay at the orphanage, but now the others flocked to you like birds. The boys especially seemed most susceptible to your powers. They would follow you around for near hours at a time, even going so far as to give you presents that you hadn’t even asked for. On some occasions, the caretakers themselves would tilt their heads and smile, saying what a “cute, charming girl” you were, before letting you get away with things that normally wouldn’t have been allowed.
At first, you thought you liked your Quirk. You were getting more attention than you ever had, and for the first time, you felt loved and desired. You thought that maybe if you’d been born with this power, your parents might not have abandoned you. All of the boys in the orphanage loved you, all of the girls wanted to be your friends, and they would each go to any lengths to make you happy. You could get anything you wanted. Truly, it was the best possible Quirk.
But this too, was a fleeting feeling. Before long, the attention became overbearing. You could never get away from it all, from the looks of desire and adoration. The friendships you’d developed with the children started to feel less genuine and more fabricated. You felt like they weren’t really your friends; that your power was just forcing them to be. These ugly thoughts started to pile on more and more, to the point that you began to resent your Quirk. You couldn’t control the power leaving your body, and it felt as if you were living life trying to navigate through a misty pink haze.
Several months passed, and a visitor came to the orphanage.
“I’ve come to take you in, [Name].”
It was a man with pin-straight black hair and striking red eyes. He introduced himself as Mikael, and declared that he’d already filled out all the required paperwork to adopt you. The orphan children began to cry, lamenting the fact that you would be leaving them. You were both relieved and anxious. Even if you couldn’t control your powers, here, at least, you could rest easy knowing that everyone adored you. You’d spent all of your life in the orphanage, and you were a little afraid to leave.
This guy will probably listen to anything I say anyways…
Mikael held you by the hand and led you outside once you’d bid farewell to everyone. He looked down at you, eyes gleaming, a faint smile ghosting across his lips. “I think you’ll find that your Quirk will have no effect on me, descendant of Aphrodite.”
“Aphrodite?”
You stared up at him, confused. He didn’t answer your question and instead chuckled to himself.
“Not to worry. I will teach you how to control your Quirk in due time. You’ve been blessed with a gift, young one. A beautiful power capable of touching the hearts of many.”

boys who tease you for being obsessed with them but the feeling is so very obviously mutual towards you, they just like to fuck with you to set the mood.
-
“you’re obsessed with me, it’s so entertaining”
you scoffed at his comment, crossing your arms.
“and all it’s doing is boosting your incredibly inflated ego”
you retort with a roll of your eyes, him watching you sitting before him, and he chuckled lightly.
“what ego?”
you shifted your weight as he towered you, batting your eyes up at him, then looking straight ahead.
“the one showing through your pants”

Yandere class1a x aizawa kid reader pt.3 where they all have a summer vacation trip to the beach plz have a good day👍🏽🏖️
A/n: sorry for the long wait, but it's finally here. I hope you enjoy it!! Stay groovy!
Also the seashell diverder goes to @h-aewo
Aizawa noticed how you were getting bummed out in the summer with all the hero work, studying, and his brats of classmates obsessing you head to toe pulling you in different directions or wanting attention from you, whenever you came back home with him you looked so exhausted and gloomy so he decided to declare a beach day for just the two of you!
Aizawa didn't like the beach as much as you did he prefers indoors especially in the wintertime when he can be wrapped comfortably in his blanket drinking hot coco cuddling with his cats and you sleeping peacefully in his arms watching another childish Christmas special on TV, but you Loved the beach you loved exploring seeing what kind of treasure you'll find in the sand, resting in the sun, and devouring snow cones! So a father and child bonding vacation will get you in the mood again and he knew exactly how to suprise you
You waved to Nezu as he drove off. Today was a tiring and you were extremely exhausted, your classmates kept bothering pulling you around in different directions just to get your attention or to spend time with them, there was even almost a war in the cafeteria because a group in class 1b invited you to sit with them, training your favorite subject was cut short cause your class again got too brutal trying to show off their fighting skills to eachother and that turned brutal real quick
you just wanted to go in your room, turn off your phone preventing your classmates spam texting you and cuddle with your cats to forget the day all altogether You slowly opened the door to a beach bag on the couch "...wtf" You awkwardly approached the bag grabbing it and looking inside to see a bunch of beach items like sunscreen, a swimsuit and it was in your exact size? "Dad..?" You looked around to an empty, silent living room. You walked toward the kitchen cautiously as you saw another beach bag, and it was a large water gun. Seriously!? What's even going on? You were about to head back when you heard a loud BANG, which sounded like.. party poppers. You turned to see your father holding
"Suprise..! We're going on vacation." Your dad stood there grinning at your surprised and baffled expression. "When?" "Tomorrow, this weekend's my day off so why not they even have a beach~" he shrugged there was a place for a moment as your face slowly lit up causing Shouta to chuckle already knowing what was about to happen next "YAYAYAYAYAYAYA THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU" you squealed squeezing the poor man's lungs out with your death hug "your welcome sweetie" he choked out trying to fight for his life surviving the hug
"Did you pack your clothes?" "Yep! I packed EXTRA early," You replied while coming downstairs and rolling down the suitcase while your father checked everything else. "Do we have the giant medkit" Aizawa looked around checking every luggage "dadd we dont we don't need that big ass kit it's just a 2-day vacation" you groaned as your father shot a glare at you " "Language and of course we need it just because we're on vacation doesn't mean anything villians will still pop out a nowhere" you mentally rolled your eyes obviously not wanting to hear all that "can we go nowww we got everything ready our neighbors will watch the cats, the 23 security cameras are all on and activated lets gooo" you whined carrying both you and your dads luggage towards the car as your dad sighed "what am I ever gonna do with you"
Time skip
Time skip again
"We're here," your dad said softly, waking you up from your nap. You blinked a couple of times, trying to shake off the slumber. "Look at the view" he pointed you looked to where he was pointing and he wasn't lying the sunset of the beach was beautiful the mix of yellow pink and orange was plastered across the sky, you almost thought you were in a painting "it's getting late let's check into our hotel and get some rest we'll go to the beach tomorrow morning" you lazily nodded feeling sleepy again as Shouta started grabbing all the luggage and placing it into those suitcase holder with the wheels (if ykyk) and saw you passed out already in the car
he sighed annoyed but not wanting to wake you up so he picked you up and placed you on his shoulder while rolling the luggage holder toward your room ignoring the stares, whispering, and fangirls gossiping, falling head over heels for the muscular man carrying his child towards the hotel room once he made it into the hotel room, he gently place you down 1st tucking you in for the night without forgetting to give you an soft kiss on your forehead then changed into his comfortable clothing there was 2 beds but he decided he sleep on your bed as well not wanting you to fall off of course totally not because he knows youll feel safe in his arms (before yall say something this us strictly platonic) and he so to drifted off to sleep
....
Aizawa was slowly awoken by you staring and smiling down at him he got started and pushed you off of him "Ow" "never do that again he grumbled tiredly looking over to see the clock being 8 AM then looking at you "Can we go to the beach now" "5 more mins sweetie I'm fucking tired-" "I will kick you repeatedly until you fall off the bed then bite you on your leg like a chicken bone if you fall back to sleep" he groaned again glaring at you while you smiled mischievously at him
Time skip again
You couldn't contain your excitement viewing the beach while Aizawa was carrying the beach stuff; you were wearing your (fav color) swimsuit with some goggles and a snorkel while your father had a black Hawaiian shirt and yellow swimming trunks with sunglasses. "I found a spot!" You quickly ran over, claiming the spot. Your father followed you as he placed the beach stuff down; you were about to dash toward the water until an arm yanked you back.
"You need your sunscreen, brat," you pouted, ruining your chance. "I don't need it!" He glared, grabbed the sunscreen, squeezed the bottle to squirt some out, and slapped it onto your face, rubbing it. "Ack! Let go of me!" You try struggling off your grip "You wanna act like a little brat You gonna be treated as one" As he kept assaulting your face with the sunscreen you then managed to push him up and snatch the bottle rubbing the cream over your body while he stared sternly at you "see now wasn't that hard?" "Fuck you" "y/n?" A familiar voice called out to you
There was the class all in their bathing suits staring directly at you. "y/nnnnn!!!!" Hakagure and Mina ran over to you and tackled you with a hug just processing what kind of bad writing fiction was this to make this even possible (hey! >:() "y/n! I see you also here as well," Iida stated while waving his arms around. "Yeah, I'm on vacation for a whole weekend here How are you here?" "We plan to have a beach party here. We were about to invite you, but we heard from you all day and yesterday evening!" Denki whined, leaning on your shoulder and earning a bunch of glares at him. Before you could respond, Kirishima grabbed your arm and dragged you towards them. "C'mon, let's go have fun! We got a bunch of plans for this party it's gonna be fun!"
you signed looking back at your father which he shrugged shooing you off to have fun while you shrugged to yourself and ran along with them
Aizawa, on the other hand, was pissed there was no way that they could go to this specific beach hotel and plan a beach party there. Did they track him and you down? Did one of them spy on you or place some kind of recording device in his or your phone? Thoughts were running through his head he was gonna find the bottom of this and once he did oh his class was gonna be in big trouble
Meanwhile
"Let's play volleyball ball!" Mina shouted, tossing up the ball. Since there are 21 of us, we should be in teams of 3! Let's make this a tournament! The last team wins! Everyone was interested and decided to get into teams
The teams
2 Midoriya, iida, and Ochako
7 Mina, hakagure, and ojiro
8 Shinsou, todoroki, shoji
4 Bakugo, denki, Kirishima
1 Momo, jirou and tsuyu
9 Koda,Sato, and mineta
5 Sero, y/n and Aoyama
"Let the volleyball tournament begin!" Mina cheered, "For y/ns love..." They all thought determined to win this match to gain your affection, teams 2 and 9 were up 1st it was a close battle between the 2 teams with Ochako trying not to float the ball up and Sato trying to keep up with Iida's speed and Midoriya calculating a smooth hit murmuring to himself to try and find a way to win the game when the ball was heading towards him making him missed the ball causing it to hit the ground team 9 won while iida scolded Midoriya as he apology repeatedly
next was teams 4 and 8 and oh boy it was messy Bakugo demanded his idiot friends play better and pressured them while team 1 was knocking it out of the park until Kirishima managed to get a good swing tsuyu hit the ball with her tongue As it headed towards Denki but rather hit his head pretty hard to the point he went into his dumb mode "y-yey!!!!" The electric boy pulled out his thumbs as Bakugo was extremely pissed off grabbing the blonde by the back of his shirt and dragging him off the court in defeat
7 and 5 were up and it was actually pretty hard you tried to make Ojiro hit harder as you tried hitting it the opposite way but he managed to go to that spot Aoyama and Mina were battling it out well it was most Aoyama trying to get revenge on Mina while was just having fun oblivious to the shiny boy's intentions but you somehow won huh
Then teams started battling off winning team 9 loss to 8 with toodrokis super move 1 won your team by an intense battle and now it was all up to your team and 8 the final showdown
After a long, extreme battle between you and team 8, you...lost due to your slipping and fucking up team 8 won the match! Shoto then came up to you and pulled out his hand. "Good game.." he said, forming a small blush on his cheek. You chuckled and grabbed his hand as well. "You too, shoji and Tokoyami killed it out there!" "You too, I never knew you were good at volleyball, y/n san!" Dark Shadow chimed as Dark Shadow nodded in agreement "he's right you also did amazing as well y/n you should be in our team next time"
You smiled, oblivious to more glares the blackbird was earning. "Yeah, in return, teach me those moves!" Thats when you were suddenly dragged by Bakugo going to his squad "We're playing water gun fight you in?" He grumbled. You smiled mischievously as you grabbed your large meta water gun behind your back. "It's on..."
The others watched in jealousy as you and the bakusquad where spraying each other with waterguns untill bakugo slipped and fell into the ground you, kirishima, denki, Mina, and sero surrounded him and started spraying him at once then running away when he started to use his explosions the 5 of you started laughing hysterically when someone tapped your shoulder you looked over to see momo, tsuyu and jirou "me and jirou are heading to the snack shack wanna come?" Tsuyu offered "Oh I didn't bring my mone-" "I'll pay!" Momo said "oh no momo you don't have to-" "no no I insist really!" Momo said with smiled so genuine how could u even say no?
You signed, "Fine, but don't make me forget to pay you back!" Momo was gonna make you forget you didn't need to own her anything. Honestly, your presence was the payment! She just wants to spoil her little jewel! You then got your food and sat on the bench watching the sunset "Man the sunset is so pretty" You were mesmerized by the warm colors in the sky while the 3 girls were mesmerized by your face and how your eyes lit up seemed to relax when seeing the sunset tsuyu was just in awe while jirou was flustered Upon seeing your everything honestly
"Hey, you stole y/n away. We were planning to make sand castles!" Their precious moment was ruined when Koda started walling towards them behind them were Sato and Tokoyami "No we were just gonna get some food and rest" "let's not lie now you know you wanted to get some alone time with y/n" Tokoyami stated glaring at the girls " actually you're all wrong cause ma cheer is coming with me!" Aoyama started grabbing you and dragging you until he bumped into someone and that someone was Midoriya and his crew
"Where the heck do you think you're going with MY y/n?" Izuku stated as Aoyama hid you behind him as they both started arguing everyone else joined in and started a huge yelling match between each other "ok... time for me to go now" You started to walk off trying to find your father to tell him what's going on but you then bumped into someone again seriously how clumsy can you be and where are these people coming from? You looked up to coincidentally see your father just staring at his own students fighting and screaming at each other
"Uh Dad ur here so uh this happened" You tried telling him what had happened but he just kept staring and glaring at his students "Don't worry it's already taken care of" You paused for a moment confused by his statement "Take cared of-?" then a sudden announcement came on coming from outside the hotel
"The beach is now close! Please pack your things and leave or go back intothe hotel habe a lovely evening!"
You heard groaning from your classmates defeated that they couldn't spend time with you anymore they all waved goodbye at you and left in defeat grumbling under their breaths and glaring at each other and at Aizawa who was smirking menacingly at them mockingly waving at them he can finally spend time with you now with no distractions just his vacation with you and only you
"Hey kid, wanna go to this cool restaurant I found while driving?" Your father offered, "Can we order it? I wanna eat in the hotel and watch some movies your father chuckled agreeing that it was a good way to end the day!

A month had passed since your arrival, and though the class had somewhat adjusted to your flirty antics, you still caused a storm of reactions wherever you went—flustered faces, embarrassed murmurs, and the occasional outburst of frustration from Bakugo.
Now the class was gathered in the homeroom, anxiously waiting for Aizawa to return with the results of their final exams.
You weren't there at the moment, having been called out of the room a few minutes earlier by Aizawa.
But somehow, you were still the topic of conversation.
"I swear, she's everywhere," Bakugo grumbled from the back of the room, a faint flush of pink on his cheeks as he glared at nothing in particular. "Always trying to drag me on dates. Treating me like I'm her damn boyfriend or something."
Kirishima let out a low whistle at Bakugo's expense. "Aw come on Baku-bro. You know ya love it."
"Shut it shitty hair!" Bakugo snapped, though the pink tint on his face deepened as he continued his rant. "I can't even get five minutes of peace at home without her showing up."
Mina perked up interested. "Wait she's been to your house?"
Bakugo scowled deepened.
"Yeah once." He said it as though it was the most annoying thing in the world, but the way his eyes flicked to the side betrayed just how he really felt.
"Twiceactually," Kirishima chimed in with a grin. "The second time was when you invited her to met your mom right?"
At that Bakugo's face turned beet red.
"Shut the hell up Shitty Hair!" he snapped, fists clenching. "I didn't invite her. She just showed up outta nowhere!"
"Your mom seemed to like her though," Kaminari teased, wiggling his eyebrows. "Heard you two were out shopping and ran into her, Momma Bakugo even let her tag along."
"Yeah and she practically made herself part of the family," Bakugo muttered, glancing away as if that would hide his embarrassment. "Even called me Kacchan in front of my old hag!"
Surprised glances were exchanged before the entire class broke into laughter, clearly not expecting that.
"Well," Todoroki began, voice calm but thoughtful. "It's not just Bakugo. She managed to charm my father too."
The class collectively froze, the laughter dying almost instantly. Everyone turned to stare at Todoroki in utter disbelief.
The dual-quirk user nod completely unbothered by the surprised looks. "I don't know how but she did. They were on speaking terms after just one visit."
His eyes narrowing slightly as though recalling the memory. "She even got him to compliment my ice quirk."
"I'm telling you," Kirishima chimed in again with a grin on his face. "She's unstoppable. got everyone wrapped around her finger."
Momo finally spoke up with a light blush on her cheeks and shaky smile. "She's...very affectionate. S-she once helped me choose a new hairstyle and now my parents think we're best friends."
"Same with mine!" Kaminari added with a laugh. "Visited my family too and now my mom keeps asking when we're going to hang out again."
Izuku, who had been listening quietly, let out a nervous laugh. "She uh...also told my mom that we were close. Now she keeps asking me about my lovely girlfriend and when I'm going to bring her over for dinner again."
The greenette's face flushed a deep red as he rubbed the back of his neck. "It's been...complicated."
"Definitely," Sero nodded his head. "My mom's been talking about her non-stop since she came by. She's convinced we're a thing."
Mina's eyes sparkled with amusement as she leaned back in her chair grinning from ear to ear. "Man! I guess she's making her rounds huh? Sounds like half our parents are planning weddings already."
Everyone laughed though there was a clear sense of disbelief in the air.
It was one thing to be flustered by your constant flirting, but to somehow worm your way into their families' hearts?
Now that was next-level.
The conversation continued with each student pitching in their own stories about how you'd somehow charmed your way into their lives.
Even those who weren't as affected by your flirty energy couldn't help but admit that you had a strange way of endearing yourself to people.
It was a kind of spell you cast—whether you meant to or not.
"Hey speaking of ____, has anyone seen her today?" Ojiro softly asked, glancing around the room as if you might suddenly appear from thin air. "She wasn't at lunch."
Before anyone could answer the door to the classroom slid open with a sudden heavy creak.
Aizawa stepped inside, his usual tired expression in place with a thick folder of exam results tucked under his arm. "I have the exam results."
Anxiety rippled through the room as Aizawa slowly made his way to the front of the class.
He rubbed the back of his neck already looking exasperated.
"And before you start freaking out I'll say this upfront—no one's getting left behind. Even if you failed, you're still going to the training camp."
There was an immediate sigh of relief followed by a few scattered cheers of excitement.
"Remember however," Aizawa continued, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. "You'll still need to work harder if you failed. So prepare yourselves. Now..."
Right as he could start listing off those who passed and those who needed to improve, Shouji hesitantly raised one of his many hands.
"Um...where's ____?"
Aizawa releases a long suffering sigh as if mentally preparing himself for what was about to happen. "She's—"
The classroom door swings open with a bang, slamming against the wall.
"Right here~!" you sang, your voice echoing through the room.
All heads turned toward you, and for a moment, time seemed to stop.
You strutted into the room and twirl to show off your your hero costume for the very first time.
The outfit was a corset-styled bodysuit that hugged your frame as fishnet stockings and golden straps crisscrossed your thighs in intricate designs.
The soft pink of the fabric complemented your pink curls that were styled in an intricate updo, making you look like a goddess descending from Olympus.
"You like?" you asked with a soft giggle, your eyes twinkling with playful mischief. "It's my new hero costume! Isn't it just fabulous?!"
Izuku was the first to break the silence, though it took him a moment to recover.
His face turned an impressive shade of red as he stuttered, "Y-you look...beautiful!"
That was all it took for you to squeal in delight, practically bounding across the room to pull Izuku into a tight hug.
"Aww thank you my strawberry!" you gushed squeezing him against your chest. "Always know how to make a girl feel special."
Izuku's face turned a deep shade of crimson as he flailed helplessly in your embrace.
His muffled protests were barely audible as he was buried against you.
"Oi hands off Deku!" Bakugo barked from his seat, his face betraying the slightest flush as he tried (and failed) to tear his gaze away from your outfit.
Denki and Mineta—not wanting to miss their chance of a hug of their own—immediately jumped in with compliments of their own.
"You look like a goddess—"
"My queen! You're so perfect—"
Aizawa shot them both a deadly glare effectively silencing their outbursts.
You pull back from Izuku who looked ready faint any second and spun around dramatically.
"And I've officially picked my hero name!" you declared, striking a pose. "You can all call me Venus: The Love-Struck Hero!"
The class blinked, still trying to process everything when you turned to Aizawa, your eyes gleaming with admiration.
"What do you think Sensei~?" voice soft and sweet you gaze up at him with heart-shaped pupils.
You fluttered your lashes at him, waiting for his response with a look that made half the class blush just from watching.
Aizawa barely spared you a glance. He says nothing, simply releasing a sigh of regret.
"I can tell from the way you sighed, it was your way of saying 'It's beautiful, you are gorgeous my lover.'" You clasped your hands together and swoon. "Oh I knew you'd love it!"
Gushing with a lovestruck expression you spin in a circle one last time before finally taking your seat.
"Anyway," Aizawa continued, clearly eager to move on from your dramatic entrance. "Like I said, get ready for training camp. We're going for two weeks so start preparing now."
════════════════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═════════════════
Browsing through the mall, you hum softly to yourself as your heels clicked rhythmically against the polished floor—drawing a few curious glances from passersby, but you barely notice.
Instead you're focused on your phone checking for any new messages from the others.
You were supposed to meet a few of your classmates to pick up essentials for the upcoming training camp.
Nothing.
You glance around again hoping to spot someone, but the sea of unfamiliar faces only added to your growing disappointment.
With a sigh you turning on your heel to check another area of the mall.
Just as you move, you collide with something—no, someone.
You stumble back a bit and immediately look up to apologize, but the words got caught in your throat.
He was tall, wearing a dark [video game] hoodie that covered most of his face with a posture that screamed stay away.
There were parts you could see—pale skin, chapped lips, and bluish disheveled hair.
But his gaze...that's made your breath hitch.
Sharp and intense glowing shade of red glaring from beneath the shadows of his hood.
You could feel the disgust and hatred radiating off of him as he looked over your appearance.
It made you heart sing.
'Wait...' your eyes widened '[video game]?!'
"Watch where you're going you wh—" you gasped loudly, completely cutting him off.
"Oh my gosh! You play[video game]?!"
Shigaraki—though you didn't know who he was yet—scowl faltered for a brief moment, brows knitting together in confusion.
"What?" he muttered completely caught off guard by your sudden burst of energy.
You didn't wait for him to respond. Your step closer with a same smile that often left your classmates flustered.
"Oh my gosh! Are you a gamer?" an almost dreamy expression appears. "Cause I just love gamer boys~"
He goes rigid when you latch onto his arm, the warmth of your hands seeping through the fabric.
He stared down at you, utterly stunned and unsure how to process what was happening. "Wh-what the hell...?"
He tried to pull back but you only clung tighter to his arm.
Look through your lashes, your voice lower to a playful purr. "Are you trying to hide your adorable face from me? Cause it's totally not working."
Shigaraki's face flushed slightly under his hood.
You were flirting with him. Like...actually flirting.
And you weren't even fazed by the dark aura he knew he projected.
He wasn't used to this...this overwhelming, completely unfiltered affection being thrown at him like a tidal wave.
No one's ever talked to him like this.
He was supposed to be a villain, someone people feared—and yet here you were, looking at him like he was some kind of prize.
Your heart-shaped pupils gleaming as you reached up to playfully tug on the edge of his hoodie.
"What's your name cutie?" youstepping even closer until your chest pushed against his arm. "Or should I just call you mine?"
That broke him out of his stupor—at least partially.
"It's…T-Tomura," he stammered, his voice uncharacteristically weak.
"Tomura," you let the syllables roll off your tongue a delighted lilt.
"Mmm, I love the way it sounds..." gazing up at him through lidded eyes, your voice dropping into a sultry tone. "Maybe I'll scream it someday."
Shigaraki.exe stopped working.
His mind went completely blank.
And for a split second he forgot who he was and what he was supposed to be doing in the first place.
He was supposed to be planning something—something villainous?, but here he was; standing in the middle of a mall completely flustered by some cute random girl.
His breath hitched and he struggled to think clearly. He was the leader of the League of Villains.
He had faced countless heroes, struck fear into the hearts of everyone he encountered.
But none of that had prepared him for...this.
Meanwhile you continued to beam up at him, utterly oblivious to the fact that you were currently clinging to one of the most dangerous villains in Japan.
Instead you saw him as just another cute guy you could fluster.
Just as you were about to continue your playful teasing a voice broke through the moment.
"____!"
You turn your head at the sound, brightening immediately at the sight of Izuku and Uraraka rushing toward you.
Instinctively letting go of Shigaraki's arm you give them an excited wave. "Hey guys! I was wondering when you'd show up!"
You missed the shift in Shigaraki's demeanor the moment he saw them.
He stiffened, immediately recognizing the two UA students instantly.
His earlier confusion vanished, replaced by something far more dangerous—a cold, calculating look that crept into his crimson eyes.
Izuku and Uraraka, on the other hand, were oblivious at first.
They didn't seem to realize who was standing next to you, his face hidden beneath his hoodie.
Just as they were only a few feet away, everything happened in a blur.
Before you could take another step toward them a firm hand suddenly yanked you backward.
Your eyes widened as Shigaraki pulled you against him, one arm snaking around your waist while the other wrapped around your throat in a firm grip.
His pinky hovered ominously over your skin, the threat of his quirk clear as day.
"Take one more step," Shigaraki snarled, voice dangerously low as he glared at them, "and I'll turn her into dust."
The pair of students both froze in terror, their eyes locking onto the teen's hand as he held you captive.
You blinked up at him, surprised but still not panicking—your heart-shaped pupils shining as you assessed the situation.
Izuku's face paled as he took an instinctive step back, his fists clenching in panic.
"H-Hand Guy..." he muttered under his breath with a shaky voice. "Please, let her go!"
A wide-eyed Uraraka raised her hands in a placating gesture. "We can talk. You don't have to do this!"
Shigaraki's grip tightened ever so slightly around your neck.
"Talk? You really think I care about talking?" The anger in his voice was palpable, and it sent a shiver through the air.
The heros-in-training were clearly panicking, their faces tight with worry.
But you? You remained oddly calm.
Shigaraki's eyes narrowed at the lack of fear on your face. He didn't like it.
"Sorry doll," his voice was laced with twisted amusement as he tightened his grip, pinky now fully pressed against your neck. "Looks like you're gonna have to die after all."
He waited, the anticipation of watching you turn to dust making his pulse quicken.
He imagined the fear and pain on their faces as they watched their friend disintegrate
No dust.
Shigaraki blinked, confusion clouding his face as he glanced down at his hand still fully closed around your neck.
No crumbling skin.
You were still standing there; very much whole and unharmed.
"What the...?" Shigaraki muttered in disbelief, mind racing as he stared at his own fingers then back at you.
He tightened his grip slightly as if to test it, but still—nothing. No decay.
Izuku and Uraraka were frozen too, their confused expressions mirroring the leader of LoV as they watched in stunned silence.
You simply smiled sweetly; your dreamy expression only deepening as you gazed at him through half-lidded eyes.
"Don't worry," you purred, lifting your hand to gently place it over his to pressing tighter against your throat. "I don't break that easily."
His brain once again malfunctioned as he tried to process what was happening.
You shouldn't be standing. You shouldn't be alive.
But you were.
"Wh-what are you...?" Shigaraki's voice faltered, his eyes flickering between you and his hand once again, his mind in complete disarray.
You giggled and give his hand an affectionate squeeze.
"My quirk," your tone dripped with amusement, "makes me immune to destructive quirks like yours. You can touch me all you want and I can touch you..."
You leaned closer, voice dropping to a whisper. "...safely~"
The color drained from his face as he stared at you utterly speechless.
For a moment his brain completely short-circuited—unable to comprehend how you were immune to his decay.
No one was immune to his decay. No one. So wh—
Alarms suddenly blared through the mall as the security system was triggered.
Shigaraki flinched at the noise, his gaze darting around as chaos erupted around you.
People began scattering and rushing for the exits as the mall descended into panic.
It was the distraction he needed.
Without another word Shigaraki released you and disappeared into the crowd.
"Aw...he ran away," you muttered sounding almost disappointed.
"____!" Izuku rushed over, his face pale with fear as he immediately began checking you for injuries. "A-are you okay?!"
Uraraka wasn't too far behind; grabbing your arm her wide eyes scanning your face as if searching for any signs of distress. "We saw him grab you! We thought—are you hurt?"
You waved them off with a sheepish smile and brush away their concern with a flick of your wrist. "Nah I'm fine! He couldn't hurt me even if he wanted to."
You winked playfully adding, "My quirk keeps me safe from destructive quirks. Like...Tomura's decay."
Izuku blinked, clearly struggling to wrap his head around that. "Wait...your quirk makes you immune to...?"
You twirl a strand of pink hair between your fingers with a nod. "Yup! It's based on love remember? You know how some people can't touch others because of how dangerous their quirks are? Well mine lets me; so those like Tomura or even Minoru's sticky hair—it just doesn't work on me."
You smiled brightly. "I can touch them and they can touch me. No problem!"
Uraraka let out a small sigh of relief, though her hands were still trembling from the encounter. "That's...incredible."
You give wink of reassurance. "I told him I don't break that easily."
As the mall security continued to search for Shigaraki in the distance you glance around the aftermath.
"You guys. Do you...do you think I scared him away?" you asked pouting a little as you turned back to your classmates.
Izuku could only stare at you, completely floored at your casual attitude after such a dangerous encounter. "You...you're really something else ____."
You grinned, reaching out to ruffle his messy green hair. "Aww you're just saying that because you like me."
"Huh?!" Izuku flushed bright red, stammering, "N-no! That's not what I—I mean, yeah I do like you but—No wait I didn't mean it like—"

⌜Know No Evil | Chapter 01 Chapter 01 | distorted reality⌟
╰ ⌞🇨🇭🇦🇵🇹🇪🇷 🇮🇳🇩🇪🇽⌝
❘ prev. chapter ❘༻✦༺❘ next chapter ❘
BOOM!
The world swam back into focus, a sickening wave of nausea rolling through you.
Your throat rasped, a metallic tang heavy in your mouth. Blinking away blurry spots, the world swayed violently around you.
There was a dull throb behind your eyes, and a chilling, empty space where your memories should have been with each sluggish heartbeat.
Fear, raw and primal, gnawed at your insides. Where were you? Everything felt...wrong.
BOOM!
Another thunderclap, followed by a blinding flash of lightning, illuminated the room for a split second. Each crackle of electricity sent a jolt of pain through you, a strange disconnect between the storm outside and the ache in your body.
Disoriented, you tried to sit up, only to find your limbs heavy and unresponsive. Groaning, you forced your eyes back open, expecting the sterile white of a hospital room. But instead, you were met with a riot of bubblegum pink and frilly decorations.
Trying to focus, you pushed yourself off the plush bed, tiny legs unsteady and weak on the plush carpet. Drawn by an instinct you didn't understand, you stumbled towards a small, ornate vanity tucked away in a corner.
BOOM!
Another flash illuminated the room, and for a fleeting moment, you caught sight of yourself in the mirror. A face stared back, long, coily red-tinged auburn hair, framed a face unfamiliar and innocent.
However, it was your eyes that truly terrified you.
Golden irises stared back, hypnotic in the flickering light. But it was the crimson rings within them, swirling like miniature storms, that sent a cold dread spiraling down your spine.
These eyes, alien and unsettling, were the only familiar thing in this sea of confusion.
Where are you? Why did everything feel so wrong?
BOOM!
Tears welled up, blurring the vibrant clash of pink and lightning in the reflection. But even the tears felt alien—a betrayal of a body you didn't recognize.
You were adrift in a sea of your own flesh, a puppet with severed strings.
No memories, no identity, just a throbbing head, a strange pain in your body, and fear—a cold, suffocating fear that had no name.
Collapsing onto the plush carpet, you reached for the cool vanity for some semblance of comfort. But instead of finding solace, your hand brushed against a soft, frilly nightgown, another alien entity on your unfamiliar skin.
You were lost, a terrified child in a body that felt wrong, with eyes that held a secret you desperately wanted to remember.
A frantic voice cut through the cacophony of fear in your head. "Sweetheart, are you alright?"
An instinct you didn't understand made you shrink back.
The voice belonged to a woman who rushed to your side, her brow furrowed in worry. Her face, etched with lines of concern, was unfamiliar, yet there was a warmth in her eyes that practically swallowed you whole—you were a star in her desolate sky.
You wanted to ask who she was, who you were, but the moment you tried to form a question, a searing pain lanced through your head. It was easier, for now, to just let the confusion wash over you.
"Come to Mommy~" she reached out, her voice gentle but laced with urgency.
The woman—your apparent mother—sighed, her worry deepening. "Oh, sweetie, you must have been scared with that awful storm. Were you having another bad dream?"
Another dream? The term triggered a flicker of unease. Dreams? What dreams?
You clenched your fists, the throbbing in your head intensifying with every attempt to pull a memory from the void.
Nothing.
Frustration welled within you, a surge of anger replacing the fear. "I... I don't remember," you admitted, the words falling flat in the face of your growing anxiety.
Your mother, whoever she was, wrapped her arms around you, a gesture that felt foreign yet strangely comforting. You didn't know how to react, your body stiff and unyielding in her embrace.
"It's alright, ____~" she soothed, her voice tinged with sadness. "Now come on, let's get you cleaned up and ready for breakfast."
The name "____" hung in the air, a word that felt foreign on your tongue—a borrowed coat ill-fitting your shoulders.
As your short and chubby mother, led you away from the unsettling reflection in the mirror, you stole a glance at her. Her burnt orange hair, once vibrant and full of life, was now streaked with silver, a testament to the years that had passed.
The curls, once perpetually escaping from any attempt at control, were now pulled back in a loose, lopsided bun, seemed to vibrate with nervous energy.
Her honey-tan skin was dusted with a constellation of dark freckles across the bridge of her nose—boring the etchings of time in the form of wrinkles crinkling around her warm, honey-colored eyes.
Even now, a flicker of worry, a worry that seemed to have become a permanent resident, danced within their depths.
Her name, you vaguely recalled from the panicked jumble in your head, was Mei.
The house itself mirrored Mei—functional, lacking any personal touches. It spoke of a life lived by routine, devoid of the chaos you once thrived in. The lack of toys or childish decorations was another jarring note.
Here, in this world of beige walls and muted tones, quirks weren't a topic of conversation, a stark difference from the hero-worshipped society you once manipulated.
Here, it seemed, you were utterly ordinary.
Breakfast was a quiet affair. Your 'father'—Wino, a stoic man with a perpetual peppered five o'clock shadow—presented a stark contrast.
Tall and lanky, he grunted a greeting before disappearing behind a newspaper. His electric green eyes, usually crinkled at the corners from a lifetime of suppressed smiles, were hidden behind thick wire-rimmed glasses.
His hair, once a vibrant auburn, had surrendered to the relentless march of time, turning a stark white that seemed to hold the secrets of countless unspoken words; both he and your mother appeared older than their mid-forties.
As Mei fussed over you, you picked at your food—the unfamiliar taste of fluffy pancakes, a bland echo of the delicacies you once indulged in.
Mei, oblivious to the storm brewing within you, hummed along to a children's show playing on the TV. It depicted brightly colored superheroes battling a giant, fire-breathing lizard.
You watched the scene detachedly; it was both whimsical and confusing.
"Welcome back, young heroes-in-training! Today, we're going to learn all about quirks—those amazing abilities that make our world so unique!"
A flurry of images flashed across the screen: a boy with stretchy limbs, a girl who could manipulate fire, a man who could zoom through the air. Your brow furrowed in concentration. This was unlike anything you'd ever known.
"Quirks can be anything from super strength to creating illusions!" the cheerful announcer continued, "It's what makes our society so exciting!"
The show droned on, explaining quirk training, hero schools, and the intricate classifications of these bizarre abilities. You listened intently, a spark of curiosity igniting within you.
What the hell are these "quirks" they kept droning on about?
Suddenly, a booming voice jolted you from your thoughts.
"Mei, change the channel. Not much point in letting her watch that mess. She won't be developing any quirks soon," Wino sighed behind his newspaper, lowering it down with a grimace. "No use in getting her hopes up."
Your mother bit her lip, a flicker of sadness crossing her features. "But she's only five," she began, her voice tinged with defiance, "we don't know if she's actually quirkless, there's always a chance..." Her words trailed off as Wino stood up and left the room without a glance, leaving behind a lingering scent of pipe tobacco in his wake.
You watched him go, your eyes narrowing a bit. Quirkless? The word itself felt foreign, a label you didn't understand but instinctively disliked.
As if on cue, the monotonous ringing of the house phone cut through the tense silence. Mei gave you a strained smile before hurrying to answer it. Left alone, you wandered back to the television, the cartoon announcer's overly enthusiastic voice now droning on about the "Quirkless Woes."
"And remember kids," the announcer chirped in a condescending tone, "if you're unfortunate enough to be born without a Quirk, just remember, there are plenty of perfectly ordinary jobs you can take up! Like... janitorial services! Or... grocery bagging!" His patronizing tone made you huff in annoyance; a strange feeling, a mix of anger and confusion, began to nestle in your chest.
Being Quirkless sounded... boring.
Limited.
Unfair.
Suddenly, the cheerful theme song was drowned out by a breaking news alert flashing across the screen.
A stern-faced woman with a microphone reported on a villain attack downtown. Live footage showed a hulking man with glowing red eyes causing havoc, his bare fists shattering concrete pillars with ease.
"This is villain Catastrophe causing a rampage in the Musutafu financial district," the newscaster explained. "Heroes are on the scene, but the situation seems critical. We'll continue to bring you updates..."
Your gaze flicked between the cartoon heroes and the real-life devastation; a strange mix of curiosity and... envy? flickered within you.
These people, these heroes, could manipulate reality—defy the laws of physics with the flick of a wrist.
You, on the other hand, were utterly and seemingly ordinary.
The frustration bubbled up again, a familiar feeling you couldn't quite place. Was it the powerlessness? The lack of control? Or perhaps a deeper longing for something more, something you couldn't even articulate?
As the news droned on, Mei switched the TV off, a bright etching itself onto her face. "Come on, sweetie, let's finish your breakfast~" she said gently, "Today's an exciting day, we're learning the alphabet!"
☆
☆
Later that night, as the rain tapped a gentle rhythm against your window, you lay tucked under the covers, Mei having just left after her nightly goodnight kiss.
Staring out at the slick streets, you tried, in vain, to push past the blank canvas of your memories.
A dull ache throbbed behind your eyes, intensifying with each frustrated attempt. Your body trembled, a cold sweat slicking your skin.
Suddenly, a sharp pain lanced through your head, and a gasp escaped your lips.
Involuntarily, your eyes flared open, an unsettling yellow glow emanating from them for a fleeting moment. A metallic tang filled your mouth, and you reached up to your nose, feeling a warm trickle of blood.
Through the ringing in your ears, a voice, faint and distorted, seemed to whisper a name. "...Ma...ki...ma..." it repeated, the syllables blurring together before fading entirely. Each whisper senting a jolt through you, a flicker of a vision erupting behind your closed eyelids.
"...Ma...ki...ma..." The first whisper brought a flash of a pale, porcelain face, a chilling smile stretched impossibly wide across blood-red lips.
Then, darkness.
"...Ma...ki...ma..." The voice pleaded, a touch more insistent this time; and with it, it ignited a vision of slender, crimson-stained fingers wrapped around a length of barbed wire, a look of perverse pleasure contorting the unfamiliar face.
Darkness again.
"...Ma...ki...ma..." The vision that followed this plea was a kaleidoscope of horrors—a city in flames, screams swallowed by the roar of an unseen beast, and that same face, eyes blazing with a cold, predatory hunger.
A wave of nausea washed over you, and you squeezed your eyes shut tighter, willing the visions away.
The whispers began to quicken, a desperate urgency seeping into their tone. "Ma...ki...ma...Ma...ki...ma!" Each utterance felt like a physical blow, a sledgehammer pounding against the fortress of your mind.
With each beat, the visions intensified, a torrent of violence and depravity flooding your senses.
A cackle, laced with madness, echoed in the darkness. You saw twisted shadows writhe on the ground, heard the sickening crunch of bones, felt the heat of searing flames licking at your skin.
And then, her face, crystal clear this time, filled your vision.
The pale girl, the crimson smile—Makima.
Her eyes, once a mesmerizing crimson, were now a bottomless void, devoid of any humanity.
"Makima!" The final whisper arrived in a shout of despair, resonating with horrifying clarity, shattering the last vestiges of your resistance.
Your pupils dilated, a single word echoing in the vast emptiness—Makima.
It was a name, a fragment of who you were, but it offered no explanation for your current existence.
Slowly, the tremor subsided, the yellow glow in your eyes receding, leaving behind a chilling emptiness. Fear melted into a strange sense of clarity.
You were Makima, but you were also ____.
Calming your ragged breaths, you tested the name on your tongue in a low, raspy whisper. "Makima..."
It held power—a chilling familiarity—but it felt distant, alien.
____, the name your mother called you, felt more comfortable, more like your own.
Yes, you decided; you were ____.
You didn't know who Makima was, but you would find out. And in the meantime, you would carve your own path in this world, as ____.
A determined glint flickered in your eyes, a spark of defiance against the unknown future.

;Various! Yandere! My Hero Academia x Female! Civilian! Reader
In your words, you are a normal woman. You have an average job and a quirk that's nothing special. You have a husband, a well villain husband, and a son both who you love with all your heart. Life is great for you so far, and you wouldn't do anything to change that. That is until people start to pop out of nowhere and take a liking to your kindness. You thought it was just meaningless admirations, oh how terribly wrong you were.
Yandere List, Information (you are here), Prologue

Your Quirk is rather unique. It plays out almost like a game, giving you missions and goals that help you become stronger. On top of that, you also have the ability to charm those around you. It sounds innocent enough on paper, and you can’t help but revel in the attention everyone keeps showering you with. But what happens when their feelings give way to something more sinister?
prologue | story masterlist | next
After what just happened, it feels like you have to tell your parents about it.
“Mom, dad,” you say. “I think I just got my Quirk.”
They react by smiling brightly. “Oh, that’s lovely, sweetie. What kind of Quirk is it?”
Now comes the hard part. Since even you barely know how your powers work, explaining it to them will be a nearly impossible feat.
You furrow your brows. “Um... it’s kind of weird. Out of nowhere, I started seeing this screen with different stuff written all over it. Nobody else can see it, though, so that’s why I think it might be my Quirk.”
Out of fear of getting in trouble, you decide not to tell them about the fact that Katsuki passed out after you used your ability on him. You already feel pretty guilty about it. For the time being, you just want to figure out how your Quirk actually works.
“A screen that’s invisible to everyone but you?”
Your parents exchange confused glances. It makes sense that they don't quite understand, because under normal circumstances, Quirks are mostly hereditary. Children most often develop powers that are similar to those of their parents, or some combination of the two. But neither of your parents has a power like yours, which is why you were so perplexed when it first popped up.
“Interesting,” your mother hums. “And you’re sure it’s your Quirk? It’s not just some game you like to play with your friends? It’s important to know the difference between real life and pretend, honey.”
You nod vigorously. “I’m not making it up. I promise.”
“[Name]’s a good girl,” your father insists. “If she says she isn’t lying, then we should believe her. Quirks are mutations, at the end of the day. It might be unlikely, but it’s still possible for her to have powers different from ours. All that matters is that she finally has something to call her own. I remember being awfully excited when my Quirk first manifested. It’s a big milestone, after all.”
“Well, I suppose that’s true. Okay, then. In that case, we should celebrate,” your mother beams. “Our little girl finally has a Quirk! What would you like to do to commemorate the occasion, hm? Do you want us to order you some yummy food or take you shopping to buy something you like?”
Your parents love to spoil you, and since you are only a little kid, you certainly can't help but capitalize on the opportunity.
The day your Quirk manifests, your family treats you to a delicious meal and even buys you a little gift. You end up having so much fun that you briefly forget all about your initial goal, which is to try and decipher the specifics of your Quirk. You even forget about poor Katsuki, who is bedridden after suddenly fainting.
It isn't until later that same night that it all comes back to you, thanks to a sudden notification.
[𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍: 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞.]
You’ve just gotten into bed and are staring up at your bedroom ceiling when you see the message pop up. It showed up completely unprompted, just like last time. This has to be your Quirk. Nothing else would make any sense. Well, unless you're somehow trapped in an incredibly long dream, but that seems like a stretch.
“Charm someone,” you mumble. You have to admit that you're a little nervous. The last time you used your ability on a person, they passed out. Will the same thing happen again? Also, why is it calling this a mission? It almost seems to imply that there's some sort of reward to be had once you complete it.
There's really no way of knowing—other than actually trying it out, of course.
When morning rolls around, you head straight for Katsuki’s house and knock on his front door.
Mitsuki is the one to greet you. “Oh, hi there,” she smiles. “You’re one of Katsuki’s little friends, aren’t you? Thank you for bringing him home the other day when he wasn’t feeling well.”
“I’m [Name],” you say, trying not to look too guilty, since you're the whole reason Katsuki fainted in the first place. “Is Katsuki feeling better today?”
“He’s perfectly fine. I’m sure he was just tired and needed some rest. He’s eating breakfast right now, but did you want to come inside and talk to him for a bit?”
After you respond with an affirmative nod, Mitsuki ushers you into the house. It's your first time actually being here. It still hasn't been very long since you’ve moved into the neighborhood, and even though you often play with Katsuki and the rest of his friends, you have yet to visit any of their homes.
You find Katsuki sitting at the dining table, spooning some cereal into his mouth. You're pretty much always thrilled to see him. He is one of your role models, and you can only hope that you'll one day be as confident and fearless as he is.
So, naturally, you break out into a grin the second you spot him.
“Katsuki!” you cry out, practically rushing over to him. “Good morning!”
As much as you wish you could say that Katsuki responds with the same enthusiasm, that isn't at all the case.
Instead, he visibly recoils, cheeks darkening to a deep shade of red.
“Why are you here?” he huffs, sounding a bit annoyed. “I already told you that I was fine yesterday. You didn’t need to make such a fuss over nothing. And you even took me back to my parents? I would’ve been back to normal if you gave me a few minutes. I was just taking a little nap, that’s all.”
Your shoulders slump. “Oh. I’m sorry. I know you’re really strong, Katsuki, but you fainted so suddenly. I was so worried I almost started crying...”
He doesn't snap at you a second time. Instead, he spoons another helping of milk and cereal into his mouth, still blushing all the way up to his ears. He appears to be avoiding eye contact, and you suspect that it has something to do with the fact that you kissed him yesterday.
He doesn't seem to blame you for the fact that he passed out, though. No one really thinks you're responsible for that incident. They still don't even know that your Quirk has manifested.
A part of you wants to tell him, but that would be the same thing as admitting you made him fall ill the other day. So, for the time being, you decide to keep your mouth shut. You want answers first.
Katsuki’s glances at you out of the corner of his eye. “What do you keep staring at me for? Weirdo. You’re being kind of annoying, so here. Have this candy bar. I was saving it for later, but you can have it instead.”
“Wow, really?” you gush. “Thank you so much! You’re the best, Katsuki.”
He can't help but crack a grin. “Yeah, yeah. Tell me something I don’t know.”
You hang out with Katsuki for a while longer after he finishes up his breakfast. He gives you the grand tour of his room—which is decked out in a bunch of All Might merch and looks super impressive—and then you eventually take your leave.
Before you do, though, you want to make sure of one last thing.
“Are you sure you're feeling alright?” you insist. “It was really scary seeing you collapse like that. I just don’t want you to be hurt. I’d be really sad if that was the case.”
Katsuki rolls his eyes. “You’re nagging me the same way my mom does. I already told you I’m fine. I can handle that much, no sweat. Didn’t I already tell you I’m going to become the Number One hero one day?”
“Well... alright. As long as you’re okay.”
You have a mission to charm someone, but you have no intention of using it on Katsuki again. If you end up making him faint a second time, it would seriously weigh on your conscience.
So, you decide to approach your other closest friend, Izuku.
Izuku is different than Katsuki. He's a bit of a crybaby, but that's only because he's such a sweet, honest kid. He tends to be more emotional than most, which just goes to show how much he cares about things. He especially cares about other people and making sure that they always have smiles on their faces. He hates to watch someone get hurt, and when Katsuki fainted, he was easily the most frantic out of everyone.
Given his considerate nature, you feel like it would be okay to entrust him with the truth.
“So... your Quirk manifested yesterday?” he blinks. “And after you kissed Kacchan and used your powers on him, he fainted?”
You press your lips into a thin line, feeling quite guilty with the admission. “Yeah. Please don’t tell anyone else yet, Izuku. You’re the only one who knows, because I trust you to keep it a secret. My Quirk seems pretty confusing so far, so I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do with it.”
“I-I promise to keep it a secret!” he reassures, nodding his head so fast that his curly green locks bob in place.
“Thank you, Izuku.” You pause, not quite sure how to breach the next topic. “Um... there was actually something else I wanted to tell you about.”
His brows arch. “Sure. What is it?”
“My Quirk... it gave me a mission. It said I have to charm someone again. I’m not sure what’ll happen when I actually do it, but I want to give it a try and see how it goes. I’m hoping it might help me figure things out.”
“Oh, okay.”
Clearly, Izuku doesn't seem to understand where you're going with this, but once the realization finally sets in, a strangled little gasp catches in the back of his throat.
“W-Wait!” he squeaks, flailing his hands in a panic. “D-Do you mean that you want to use your Quirk... on me?”
You smile shyly. “I was hoping to, yes. I have to kiss someone before I can charm them, though. Would that be okay? A kiss on the cheek, like what I did to Katsuki yesterday?”
At only four years of age, even just a cheek kiss is a big deal. Someone like Katsuki is normally unfazed by most things, but even he got incredibly flustered when you kissed him. You can only imagine how Izuku—the shyest kid in the neighborhood—might react.
He’ll probably refuse. If he does, I should just leave it. I don’t want to make him uncomfortable.
To no one’s surprise, Izuku is already burning red from embarrassment. He’s taken several steps back, most likely out of pure instinct, and is now clenching his fists so hard that his knuckles are white as paper.
“You want to k-kiss me,” Izuku stammers nervously.
“Only if you let me,” you promise. “I don’t want to make you upset. It’s just that it’s the only way to use my charm ability, so... yeah. But then again, I’m worried that you might end up fainting too. Ugh. I don’t really know what to do...”
Embarrassment aside, you can understand why Izuku might be afraid to let you use your Quirk on him, especially after what he just witnessed yesterday. He has every right to refuse, purely from a self-preservation standpoint.
But he doesn't.
“O-Okay,” Izuku swallows. “I’m happy you got your Quirk, [Name]. And... I want to help. Y-You can kiss me if you need to. Even if I pass out, it’s okay. As long as I can help you.”
He proceeds to squeeze his eyes shut, no doubt too flustered to bear watching everything unfold. You officially have his go-ahead, and even though you don't want to end up making him feel unwell, you aren't sure how else you're supposed to get used to your Quirk.
Please don’t make Izuku faint. Please let him be okay.
Drawing in a sharp breath, you slowly approach him. Despite the fact that his eyes are closed, he can still hear you moving closer, and he starts shaking like a leaf in the wind. You figure it's best to just go for it as quickly as possible and spare him the nervous anticipation.
Blushing quite a bit yourself, you peck Izuku on the cheek, then hastily pull away.
“I-It’s done,” you say. “Izuku, you can open your eyes now.”
He does just that, although it takes him a while to actually work up the nerve. Eyes the color of emeralds slowly drift open, and he even lets out a nervous little hiccup, clearly mortified beyond belief.
“A-A girl—hic—a girl actually k-kissed me,” Izuku stutters.
[𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐳𝐮𝐤𝐮?]
There it is again. You now have the option of using your ability, just like before. You can't deny that you're a little worried. A power that makes people fall over unconscious is quite daunting, but you hope that things won't always turn out that way.
“Hold my hand,” you offer. “Just in case you fall over. I’ll catch you so that you don’t get hurt.”
Nodding shyly, Izuku wraps his little hand around yours, then you finally make your selection.
>>[𝐘𝐄𝐒]
It doesn't take very long for your Quirk to take effect. Much like Katsuki, he starts looking weak and unsteady. You hold his hand tightly, even loop your arm around his back to make sure he doesn't suddenly faceplant onto the ground. His breathing is getting shallower by the second, and if you thought the blush on his cheeks before was outrageous, it can't even compare to the one he has now.
“I feel... weird,” Izuku mumbles. Too weak to even remember his earlier embarrassment, he clings to your body as if he's holding on for dear life. “[Name], what’s... what’s happening? I feel... warm and fuzzy. So warm...”
You fear that he's getting close to passing out. So far, it seems to be following the exact same pattern as before. Darn it. Is this really a mistake? Is coming to terms with your Quirk really worth doing this to the people you care about?
Before you can ponder the moral implications of your actions, Izuku suddenly cups your cheek with his hand, then presses his lips against yours.
Um?!
It's a quick, chaste kiss, but a kiss nonetheless. A real kiss, not just one on the cheek. You feel like your entire face is on fire, and it's safe to say that you’ve been momentarily stunned from embarrassment.
And by Izuku, no less. A kid who would’ve never had the guts to do that under normal circumstances.
“Hehe,” he giggles, appearing somewhat delirious. “I kissed [Name]… on the lips. Wow. Was I your first kiss? I sure... hope so.”
He goes limp in your arms right after that.
[𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧! 𝐀𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐲. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐛𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬.]
Your body is briefly enveloped by a strange, pulsing light, and you swear that something inside you just changed. It's such a subtle change that it's probably almost negligible, but you know you aren't imagining it.
Also, Izuku has definitely fainted. You are now responsible for having made two of your friends pass out.
You shoulder the weight of his body as best you can, then let out a heavy sigh. “I need to get him back home as soon as possible."
Your Quirk is kind of like a game. Based on what you know about it so far, at least. If you keep on completing the missions the system gives you, then you will be rewarded by having your strength increase. It's like gaining experience points and leveling up. That's the best analogy you can think of.
You don't like making people faint, though. After charming both Katsuki and Izuku, it's clear that the effects of your powers are perhaps too strong. You really hope there's a way to control it better. Maybe you're simply too inexperienced?
“Hey, system,” you call out. “I’m still kind of confused about this whole thing. Can you please explain it better? I don’t want to make my friends keep fainting.”
You don't receive a response, so you figure it isn't an entity you can actually communicate with. It doesn't appear sentient, at the very least. It's most likely just there to give you missions and track your progress.
Well, that sucks.
You still want answers. Then again, nobody ever said that mastering a Quirk would be easy, and you’ve only just gotten yours. You suppose you'll just have to be patient.
Out of the little friend group consisting of you, Katsuki, and Izuku, you are the first to have your Quirk manifest.
After that, it's Katsuki.
Since he has such a strong personality, it isn't at all a surprise that his Quirk would turn out to be strong too. He has the ability to create literal explosions from the palms of his hands. It's honestly incredible, and everyone in the neighborhood—as well as the other kids in the local preschool you attend—can't help but be in awe.
Once Katsuki’s Quirk manifests, his personality starts to change, and not for the better.
Eager to show off his strength, he starts getting in fights with all sorts of people. Most of them are other kids his age, but he even picks a few fights with those that are several years older than him. And he never, never loses.
“Wow, Katsuki!” you gush. “You’re so amazing! I can’t believe you beat those guys up even though they were so much bigger than you!”
Since you're young and stupid, you don't realize that in praising Katsuki for his acts of violence, you are actually part of the problem.
Katsuki sniffles, wiping away his tears before they fall. He got quite a beating during the fight, but in spite of that, he still held out until he won. “Obviously,” he huffs. “I’m not going to let anyone talk smack about me. It doesn’t matter how much bigger or older they are.”
You haven't received any more missions since the day you charmed Izuku, but by now everyone knows that you at least have some sort of Quirk. Katsuki was skeptical at first, but even the doctor was able to confirm that your Quirk factor—which is what allows your powers to function—is located in your brain. So long as your brain keeps working, you have the means to interact with the system and use your abilities.
The same can't be said about Izuku, though.
He keeps waiting for his Quirk to appear. He waits and waits, and yet it still shows no sign of manifesting. All Quirks are supposed to manifest by the age of four, with no exceptions. You do everything you can to reassure Izuku that it's going to be okay, but no one seems to understand why he hasn't gotten his Quirk yet.
Somewhere along the way, Izuku is labeled as Quirkless, and with his newfound cruelty, Katsuki makes sure to torment Izuku at nearly every turn.
“From now on, we’re going to call Izuku Deku,” Katsuki chuckles. “Deku means someone who’s a good-for-nothing loser. It’s perfect for him, since he’s a Quirkless weakling.”
You frown. “That’s not nice, Katsuki. Take that back. There’s still some time left. Izuku will get his Quirk soon, you’ll see.”
“You need to stop defending him, [Name].” Katsuki sighs out in annoyance. “Can’t you see just how lame he is? It actually makes a lot of sense that he doesn’t have a Quirk. I always thought that he was weak. This is just how the world works. Right, guys? Don’t you also think Deku’s a loser?”
The two other neighborhood kids that often follow Katsuki around, and who have since become his underlings, hastily nod in agreement.
“Deku’s a great name for him.”
“It’s what he gets for being Quirkless.”
Poor Izuku is already in tears, and you can't help but ball up your little fists in frustration.
You like Katsuki. You really do. But lately he’s started acting like a real asshole, and you're honestly getting sick of it.
“His name is Izuku,” you insist. “Don’t give him a rude nickname to try and make fun of him. Doing that is what’s actually lame.”
“[N-Name],” Izuku whimpers, wiping away at his misty eyes. “Thank you...”
Even though you are friends with both Izuku and Katsuki, you know well enough to understand when something is just plain wrong. Katsuki is bullying Izuku, and it needs to stop.
In picking sides, though, you actually end up making Katsuki even angrier.
“You’re such a goody-two-shoes,” he spits, then uses an explosion to swat Izuku right across the face. His explosions aren't incredibly strong—not yet, at least, since he's still just a child. But they deal enough damage to hurt plenty, and Izuku’s little whimpers soon turn into full-blown sobs.
Alright. You’ve officially had enough.
“Come here,” you grit out. You grab Katsuki by the arm and pull him in, then roughly kiss him on the cheek. His immediate instinct is to freak out, of course, but he's mainly embarrassed, not angry.
[𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐠𝐨𝐮 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐢?]
>>[𝐘𝐄𝐒]
It doesn't take him long to quiet down after that. While you don't like making people faint and overall feel unwell, desperate times call for desperate measures. It's better than letting him keep harassing and beating up Izuku, in any case. You are choosing to incapacitate one of your friends in order to protect the other one.
“Not this shit again,” Katsuki mumbles in a daze. He seems to fend off the effects of your Quirk a lot better this time. Perhaps you're starting to get used to controlling its output? But regardless, he still ends up collapsing eventually. You’ve effectively put him to sleep. Hopefully a nap will help him clear his head a bit.
“Aw, man!” one of the other guys whines. “[Name] just used her Quirk on him. That’s cheating! You can’t just go around doing that!"
“Nuh-uh,” you deny. “Katsuki used his Quirk to hit Izuku first. He started it. Carry him back home, please. He needs to be put into bed.”
They make sure to grumble the whole time, but still bring Katsuki back to his parents.
Now, it's just you and Izuku.
“Are you okay?” you ask, worry lacing your expression. “I’m sure it probably really hurts to get hit by one of his explosions. I promise it’ll be alright, Izuku. I’m here for you.”
Izuku nods weakly. “I’m fine. Thank you for helping me. If only I wasn’t so weak... then I could help myself.”
“You’re not weak at all. And your Quirk will show up soon! I have a good feeling about this.”
It's pure unfounded confidence, but you're only an idealistic child, after all.
Strangely enough, though, despite the fact that you’ve just saved him from getting beaten up, Izuku isn't all that happy. He knows you have to kiss someone first before being able to charm them, but he still can't stop replaying what he’s just seen. The way your lips pressed right against Katsuki’s cheek... it's impossible to get it out of his head.
Izuku is too young to make sense of his emotions, but he is experiencing ugly jealousy for the very first time in his life.
It’s okay, he thinks. I got to kiss [Name] on the lips before. Even Kacchan hasn’t done that. And she... stood up for me. Because I’m important to her.
In that moment, even the pain of being Quirkless isn't quite as intense as the fear of losing your affection to someone else.

underdog. prologue
ღ
ღ
“The Jian, also known as the bird who shares wings. Only possesses one wing. Unless two people lean on each other and act like one, they’re incapable of flight. They’re imperfect, incomplete creatures.”
"But, for some reason, their way of life struck me as profoundly beautiful.....It was beautiful, I felt."
ღ
...How do you explain to a child that their parents have just been murdered...?
...A seven year old child no less...
...Do you sugar coat it...?
...Or do you tell them the horrible truth...?
...Do you lie and say that they are in a better place now…
...A place wyoue they’re flying with beautiful, white wings…
...A place wyoue angels thrive…
...Or do you say the five words that nobody ever wants to hear…
“I’m sorry for your loss.”
...No one would ever want to be the person to break the news...
...But that was okay...
...Do you know why...?
...It's because you had to experience it yourself...
ღ
My darling,
It was late at night. The moon was shining over the dark night as stripes of the luminescent light was making its way through the windows. The scenery was still. It was beautiful. Too beautiful to even be real. But not everything had to have a grim setting in a tragedy like the stories your mother would read to you. No. This was your reality. And honestly, you didn't want anything to do with it anymore.
By the time you read this, everything has changed.
The moonlight was your one and only light source as you could only see what had laid out in front of you. You were crouching behind a rather large sofa, your hands over your mouth. The screams of escaping your parent's lips were horrifying. They kept on bouncing off the walls and you already knew that those wails of pain would forever haunt your dreams. You felt your heartbeat rising faster and faster as you broke out in a cold sweat. Your eyes were practically bulging out your head as you were afraid. Afraid of what would happen if you came out of your hiding spot. Afraid of what might happen if you even let out a squeak. Afraid of the dark figure that was in your house.
I won’t be able to wake up to your beautiful smile everyday.
When it all went quiet, you turned your head to the side to see what had exactly transpired. There was a man looming over your parents. He held a knife that was dripping with thick pearls of blood. "Where is she!" he yelled. "I’m not going to let any witnesses out of this damn house if it's the last thing I do!"
Or be able to see you on your wedding day.
"Get the hell out of my house!" your father yelled. His piercing blue eyes were gazing dangerously into the murderer's eyes. If he even did have the ability to move, there was no question he would kill the murderer with his own two hands. He would do anything to protect the only family that he had.
But I hope you know that your dad and I would do anything for you.
"Don't you even dare touch my darling!" your mother snapped with tears rolling down her face.
I hope when you're older, you can find this letter.
The man let out a *tsk* sound as the knife clattered to the floor. "Whatever," he said in a dangerously low voice. But you could tell that there was an evident smirk on his face. He grabbed the shirt collar of your father and raised him up. He gnashed his teeth together and slammed your father's head to the ground. He didn’t move after that. The villain bellowed at the top of his lungs, "I’ll search every square inch of this house if I have to!” You heard the creak of the white, carpeted staircase as the murderer began walking up the stairs slowly. Once it was dead silent, you had immediately scrambled away from the sofa.
As you looked around, your throat tightened up. There on the ground were your parents. It wouldn't even matter if the ambulance had arrived because by that time, they would have already left this world.
I know it hurts to finally realize that we’re gone by the time you read this.
Your breath hitched. your mother’s beautiful, long, pink hair was laid out in a fan. Her hair and clothes were drenched in blood. Some of it had started clotting around her recent wounds. Your father's black hair that was once combed neatly was now tangled up in a rat's nest. He had stab wounds that littered his body trying to protect your mother. They were laying on the once white carpet floor as their skin tones were a sickly pale color. The red liquid was everywhere. Not only was the blood dripping down the walls, but it was splattered on the floor in a horrifying manner. But the most heart-stricken thing you saw was your parent's eyes. They looked so dull and empty to the point you couldn't bear to look at them anymore. Your mother's once sparkling sea-foam green eyes and your father's deep, ocean blue eyes were now gray. Like they had lost any emotion connected to them in the world. You saw them barely move their fingers as they both tried to cling onto the last threads of life.
But it won't matter.
YOU FELT LIKE YOU COULDN'T BREATH.
Do you know why?
The most depressing part was the fact that they didn’t have the chance to name you. When holding the infant in their arms, they had a million thoughts running in their minds that were only filled with love. They had thought of a thousand dreams of what they wanted their beautiful little girl to achieve. Too bad they didn’t have the chance to see what their child grew up to be.
It's because we’ll be with you every step of the way.
Their names and actions would forever be engraved in your memory. If only someone could stop what was going to happen to you and the adversities you would be forced to face.
Our ghostly fingertips will forever be connected to you, heart, mind, and soul.
It truly was such a shame for them to have died such a young age and quirkless as well. No wonder you felt so helpless, you felt like you were nothing. You felt like a zero, like you were worthless.
You are worth so much.
You. Had. Nothing.
Don’t feel grieved by what you couldn’t save.
If you had been a bit stronger, you could have saved them from this cruel fate. Your stomach was doing flips and front handsprings. You felt like you were about to puke. You had to get out of here, fast. You didn't want to see the sickly pale corpses of your parents.
If you ever miss us, call our names.
"M-mom? D-dad?"
If you can learn to do just that, you will be okay.
You didn’t know what to do other than to drop down onto your knees and intertwin your small fingers with theirs. Your lips began trembling as clear tears were about to flow down your face.
Don’t hide away.
You tried not to cry. You didn’t deserve to.
Never hold back your tears, you're trying so hard to be strong.
But as that same action replayed in your head, you couldn't hold it back anymore. "P-please... D-don't leave me... This is a joke right...?" You gripped harder. "...so please..." You inhaled a deep breath as you snapped your head to look at the ceiling, your beautiful wide eyes letting the tears cascade down your face. "...wake...up..."
I love you.
"...Darling..?" You lowered your head towards your mother. "...Darling... are you here...?" you mother asked. Her sweet as honey voice was now dry and cracked as it wavered in the air.
Do you know why?
"Ye-yeah, I'm here, Mom..." You said with a shaky voice.
It’s because.
"I just- I just want to let you know that we love you so much, darling. You have always been the light of our lives. And I know you're such a bright girl. I'm just- I'm just so sad that I'm never gonna see you when you grow older..."
You.
Your heart sank to the bottom of your chest. "This can't be happening-"
are.
She lifted up her hand as she gently caressed your face and wiped your tears away. She had put on a small smile yet, it held so much pain. "Hey, hey, hey. As long as I get to see you one last time, I already know that I can finally rest happy... Be the hero you want to be... And… I love you so much..."
my.
And then, she went limp.
everything,
The perfect wings that had once adorned your body were now ripped from your body as they would forever leave a wounded battle scar. They were your wings, and then they were ripped apart from your future in a blink of an eye. There was a hole in your heart that you couldn't cover up. But one thing’s for sure, you have finally found your name; it's...
Absolute Zero.
ღ
Bursting through the doors, you could never fathom the thought of any innocent people dying. From that day on, you wanted to be a hero. A melancholic smile appeared as you recollected your memories. You wanted to do what you couldn’t have done for your parents. You honestly didn’t know where you were going. All of that didn’t matter anymore because you just ran; with you tears overflowing until all you saw was darkness. The sting of the snow sticking onto you feet was just enough for you to stop moving.
It was such a shame that you didn’t notice the taller figure watching your every move.
As he aimed the tranquilizer at your neck, he shot it. He bounced off of the dark tree. He smiled painfully as he was pleased to say for a fact that you were unconscious. Bringing his mouth close to the communication device he only said one thing.
“Phase 1 is complete.”
Ღ
The tall figure reached down and you in his arms. The touch of your skin was starting to get colder and colder with each passing second. He traced the features of your face with an indescribable look. He looked solemnly at you, as if he was recalling something from his past. You were only a child. He bit his lip and positioned his eyes to view the night above him. Sighing to himself, he slowly carried your unconscious body towards the center of the forest, where you were originally running into.
The silhouette of the tall trees surrounded him. A rush of wind and snow blew through his hair, he felt a shiver run up his spine. He closed his eyes out of instinct while holding the girl closer to his chest. As he peered around through the dark night, he had come to notice a very distinct concrete square. Piercing eyes stared down at the potential gateway.
Now stepping onto a concrete square, there was a certain symbol embedded onto the surface. It was a zero with a line slashing the number diagonally, left to right. As he rested his hand directly onto the emblem, he only whispered one thing, “Code:1016.” It glowed a beautiful blue hue. Suddenly a rush of azure and green colors came to life. They blasted upwards to the sky, the colors that had mingled together could put the northern lights to shame. When the light died down, you both were gone.
ღ
And there he was. 1016 stood on a clear launchpad that looked to be used for astrology and rockets. The pad looked to be strikingly similar to the hues of colors that the figure had experienced only a few minutes ago. The colors had a mind of their own as they began thrashing around wildly until they cooled down into a more peaceful state. Though, it wouldn’t matter because the tensile strength of the glass was unreal because it never let the colors out.
1016 looked around in his surroundings and it never failed to take his breath away. Above him was a transparent dome which led him to see the galactic hues up close and personal. It was almost as if the barrier wasn’t there and he could have just brushed his fingertips against the stars. The floor was made of tungsten or some other metal he couldn’t identify. Tubes that were filled to the brim with all the shades of the color wheel, ranging from green, blue, and purple. They glistened and glowed with sparks of light that appeared to be stars in each individual one. Black wires were everywhere, interconnecting within each other. But the one thing that he noticed was the hospital bed that laid in the corner. There was a recurring aesthetic of galaxy colors, tubes, and glass. But that was no different. The hospital bed was big with a clear, thin cylinder surrounding it. The top and the bottom that sealed the ends of the chute were both made of connected metals with an abundance of buttons on each side. A pillow rested peacefully against the mattress accompanied by delicate, white blankets.
Suddenly a soothing voice asked,“Did you get her?”
1016 nodded his head. “Yes, I did.”
A relieved chuckle was to be heard. And there he was. There was another young man sitting on a chair looking through a grand telescope. It was enormous. A tense silence filled the air until 1016 took a deep breath. “Can’t we think of another plan… You know one that doesn’t involve her?” As soon as those words fell out of his mouth there was a dangerous aura that radiated from the teen that was now standing in front of 1016.
An airy laugh left his lips until he exploded.
“Do you still don’t understand?!” he demanded. There was a menacing glint in his eyes. He gritted his teeth together while gripping the 1016’s wrist tightly and dragged him to a telescope. Pushing him down into the chair, he said, “Look.” As the teenager looked to the dark night, he was absolutely spell bound by what he saw. It was absolutely beautiful. Splotches of purples, blues and pinks filled the nights until they were all mushed together in a brand new color. Stars were swirling around as they brightened luminously. It was perfect, too perfect. That is, until he spotted it. It was a meteorite hurtling towards them.
“Now do you understand?!” he yelled. He pulled 1016 away from the telescope and forced his head to look up at the sky. He pointed to the meteor and fumed, “In about a few years or so, that fucker is literally about to obliterate the entire Earth! And do you know who has to pay up for our screw ups?! Us, you idiot! And that includes me.” The male pinched the bridge of his nose until he dragged his legs to sit in his chair. An inaudible ‘sorry’ whimpered out of the once furious man. He leaned his back against the cool metal chair with his palms pressed against his eyes. “What are we going to do…?”
1016 was shocked by the sudden outburst. In all his life when working with his partner, named 1004, he had almost always kept a cool composure. Sure, he would occasionally crack a few jokes or two, but he would never blow a fuse. As a result, 1016’s stomach churned with uncertainty.
1004’s gaze was cast down. “Look, 1016,” he started to grieve. “It's been around 20,000 years since you fell from grace and when I got banished.” There was a long pause. “We did something that we weren’t supposed to do. And this, this is the punishment for our actions.” A deep breath was to be heard from 1004 as he continued. “But you know the deal. In our punishment, we’re supposed to protect this planet, but because of our actions, we had most of our powers stripped!” 1004 groaned. “I mean- if we fail to protect this planet, it’s really going to be over.”
1016 thought hard for a moment, trying his best to think of any possible answer. “Oh-! I got it!” 1016 snapped his fingers. He grabbed 1004’s shoulder and looked him in the eye. “I know what to do but you have to trust me.” Quickly, 1016 grabbed your body and handed you to 1004. Pushing one of the buttons of the capsule he laid you on the hospital bed. He attached a gasmask to your head. On the back were numerous ports that were connected to an abundance of the same wires he saw earlier. Gripping the black wires in his hand, 1016 plug each into a very large computer.
In a flash 1016 fingers typed at an alarmingly fast pace, his eyes never leaving the keyboard. 1004 looked over at his shoulder and raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing this time?”
But 1016 ignored the question of his partner. “You said that they only deleted some of our powers right? Well if you still have your time powers, I need you to stop time itself. Only for 2,000 years. This is the only way.” He looked directly at the screen that had an illuminated blue and continued. “I’m loading some data into her head. I honestly don’t know how it will work, but she’ll mentally be ancients of years old, though her physical appearance wouldn’t change. There are some things we have to alter though, understand?”
1004 nodded his head in agreement. 1016 grabbed a pen as well as a piece of blank paper. When he was done, 1016 slipped the paper to 1004. “At this exact time and place, I need you to release you. This is crucial. Like I said, you need to trust me.”
ღ
Your eyes opened.
ღ
You were starving. The piercing internal jab that kept on stabbing your abdomen was getting severe. Living on the streets was hard. How many years have passed? Three? No, four? You had lost count after a while. You found solace in a beaten up cardboard box. It was placed in a very dark alley as there were piles of garbage growing bigger with each passing day. You had managed to survive only on the table scraps that restaurants had no use for. Using the garbage bags as pillows, you curled into a ball on your right side and you waited for the night to engulf the city whole.
If anyone thought that the days were bad, the nights were hell in comparison. Heavy gunshots echoed between the alleyways while the air smelled like liquor. There would always be blood splattered on the concrete while drunk laughs and hiccups were heard from nearby bars. Neon signs that ranged from pink to blue and even a purple appeared everywhere if someone had just simply opened their eyes. It honestly would have been comforting knowing that the darkness wasn’t the only thing that consumed everything; if only the signs weren’t promoting sketched out night clubs.
You really did try resting your eyes but as soon as you did so, you woke up again. But no matter how much your eyes were battling the urge to close them, you couldn’t even sleep. You couldn’t take it anymore. You could survive. No. You needed to survive. You would do anything to see the next sunrise, even if you did get your hands a little dirty.
You pulled yourself together, what else could you do? Taking a deep breath, you set off to the neon lit streets. As you started walking, you ran into a boy who looked a bit older than you, not by much, however. You bumped into him, fully expecting pain to follow through, but nothing happened. In fact, he seemed quite fluffy, like an enormous teddy bear, the kind you would see in those rigged carnival games.
“I’m so sorry!” you gasped.
But the person you ran into just smiled and waved his hand dismissively. You almost laughed because of how unreal he looked. He looked tall, though. If you had to give an estimate, your bet would be around 195 centimeters. He looked wide and friendly with his big smile touching the corners of his cheeks. It was as if the main fat animal from Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor Totaro came to life and had sandy blonde hair.
“Are you okay?” he asked, with genuine concern overflowing from his facial expression.
Your face shamelessly heated up. He was too nice, it almost made you feel guilty for what you were about to do next. “Yeah!” you grinned. And unbeknownst to you, his face had also heated up. Although the dirt and grime was muddled in your hair, it didn’t take away from the shine in your eyes. He actually thought you looked… pretty cute, in a way. A short silence had ensued and you quickly broke the ice. “Thank you for worrying about my safety,” you expressed, but then you quickly started to run in the direction you had previously gone and lazily waved your hand. “You should go home before your parents start to worry!”
“W-Wait!” the middle schooler stuttered. “I didn’t catch your name!”
You bit your lip at the sudden words. It certainly has been a long time since you’ve had a friend. But, what if you scared them away because of the way you lived? You gulped and pushed those disgusting doubts away. You grinned, “You’ll know soon enough!” And with that, you ran, and you didn’t look back.
ღ
Once you were alone, you sighed. You were scared that you were going to get caught. In between the dark alleys, you sighed and leaned your back against the cold cement. You opened up a wallet, a wallet that did not belong to you. You had pickpocketed that nice middle-school boy who had tried to make sure you were okay. God, you were such a scumbag. You knew it wasn’t right, but life wasn’t fair. Survival of the fittest, right? That was the phrase that you had used to single-handedly justify your poor actions. You shrugged it off, you’ll pay him back soon enough. As you looked at the contents of the wallet, you saw and identification photo and name of the same boy you had ran into and his home address, along with–
“30,000 yen!” you gulped. Oh shit. You didn’t need this much money to enable you to do what you needed to do tonight. You bit the inside of your cheek, you weren’t going to use all of his money, just enough to help you survive this night. You smiled sadly, showing remorse for your actions as tears began to well up.
“Thanks, Taishiro Toyomitsu…”
ღ
As you navigated the grimy stairs that led to the underground tunnel, you scrunched up your nose. The air smelled of grime and dried blood. It made your stomach churn and your eyes very, very unhappy. The concrete below your feet was stained with water and mold started to form on the walls. The dull lights that illuminated the tunnel looked unstable, flickering as if they were about to burst a fuse at any second. You finally reached it, the front desk. The lady looked at you with sad eyes. Probably wondering why a young girl such as yourself would be in a place like this.
“May I help you?” she said.
“Yeah,” you said bitterly, but you tried your best not to show it. She didn’t do anything to you, so why should you take your anger out on her? Save it for the fight, you always remind yourself over and over again. “I’m here to compete, actually.”
“O-Oh,” the lady spluttered. “What’s your quirk?”
“You can’t turn me away,” you said apologetically. “This ring allows anyone of any age to compete. And, unfortunately, I don’t have one.”
“N-No! Sorry, that’s not what I meant. I just mean that there is an entry fee of 10,000 yen! I’m just not sure if someone as young as yourself can come up with that kind of cash-”
But before the last could say anything, you slided the demanded amount of money (thanks to Taishiro) on the cheap, plastic table she was sitting behind. She counted the money and nodded for you to go in.
You gulped, half terrified for what was to come next. You were about to fight for money in an underground martial arts ring,
ღ
Your duffle bag had already been waiting for you in the women’s locker room, you just needed to grab the bag with your belongings. You got ready in the dimly lit, unsanitized bathroom. Your long hair was tied back into a ponytail and you put on the rest of your uniform. It consisted of loose parachute pants that had hung by your hips, a sports bra, and a tight fitted black shirt. No quirks, and no armor to protect yourself, this was definitely going to be a long night. You shoved Taishiro’s wallet in your bag with the clothes you wore. You gripped your towel and your water bottle and pushed the bathroom door open. You shuffled through the packed stadium with your head feeling light. You knew that in the shady parts of the big city, people paid to see fighters dual it out in illegal rings. In addition to this, you also knew that fighters could enter by paying a rather hefty fee, but if they made a good enough show, they would also get paid a rather hefty fee. In the years you fought, you made a name for yourself. You weren’t the best by any means, but you were… respected among your peers. They were a lot older than you, and they knew that you didn’t have anything. No job, no education, no family, no quirk, and no future. During practice when you sparred against them, they didn’t hold back at all. They didn’t need to because you could get up by yourself. After a brutal beat down, they’d buy you snacks as a little token of their appreciation. And you’d graciously take it. You always did.
Now, you were watching the fight that had unfolded in front of you. You sat in the front row, the ring itself was a lot lower than where the audience sat. It was a safety precaution for if any fighter had a dangerous quirk, at least the difference in height between the ring and the stadium could offer protection. The element of the ring would change, it would offer a water based zone, earth based, you could name it all; anything to keep their patrons hooked. As you gazed below, your cheek resting on your forearm which was in turn resting on the railing. Although the cheers were so loud that you could have sworn that your ear drums would burst, you managed to block them out. You had other things to worry about. You looked at the one victor that had stood proudly. And you looked at the victim with such sadness, he was obliterated. Blood gushed from heavy hitting wounds with a black eye to match. You grimaced. That was going to be you.
ღ
“And now!” the announcer boomed. “What you have all been waiting for. The darling of this ring! Although she may look small in stature, I promise you that she kicks one hell of a punch! Give it up for… Honeysuckle!”
Cheers erupted from the crowd and claps filled the air. You smiled ever so graciously and you waved a hand in the air, pretending that this crowd won’t know what your bloodied face will look like in the span of twenty minutes. You had to pretend. You were good at pretending. So, you pretended that everything was fine. You looked up to see your opponent's face. He was a large, muscular man. A torn up wife-beater was tightly worn on his body with black cargo pants to match. And when you looked at his face, his right eye was completely white with a nasty scar that made its way from the right side of his forehead, through his eye, and ended at the corner of his lip. And your heart dropped. You studied all of the opponents in the databases this ring had to offer. And his quirk was nothing to sneeze at. It was shock absorption. Everytime you hit, he could hit harder. Everytime you kicked, he kicked harder. This felt like a sick joke. You were only a teenager for fucks sake, a teenager living out in the streets trying to make ends meet. You were angry at the organizers of your event. You were quirkless trying to face upon a stone, cold fighting machine. Your mouth ran dry, ‘Oh shit.’
“Ready! Three! Two! One! Fight!”
The man made no hesitation to strike first. He threw a right hook at your face and you dodged, only by a millisecond to lose. You gasped, you didn’t expect him to be this fast. While he was still fixed in his position, you gathered up the strength to kick him square in the ribs. It was powerful and you could hear the audience mourn in favor of him. You looked up and he only paid you a sickening grin. He harshly gripped your foot that had kicked him and he spun you around like a rotating top. You felt the air whipping your hair carelessly until he let go. Your back had hit the wall of the ring, hard. You felt yourself coughing up blood and you saw double. However, your opponent didn’t spare you any mercy as he kicked your ribs and you have sworn you felt your spine crack.
‘Get up!’ you pleaded with yourself.
Get up!’
‘Get up!’
‘Goddamnit! Get up, Absolute Zero!’
Unbeknownst to you, he had grabbed a hold of a boulder. You felt the shadow looming over you and your eyes were blown wide open. He was about to smash your skull into a pulp. ‘Are they even allowed to do this!?’ you screeched. And with every fiber of your being, you did get up. With your hands planted on the ground, you pushed your torso from the ground up and moved your legs in a windmill fashion and kicked his legs with such an unwavering force that he fell down, boulder in hand. And you did it, you did manage to get up on your feet. But, he didn’t like that at all. Unfortunately, he recovered quickly as he started to bolt at you.
“You think you’re so cocky, huh?” he spat, lifting you in the air by gripping your collar.
You must have had a death wish because before you could stop yourself, you shot back, “Yeah, a cocky brat that knows how to use mouthwash.”
He wiped the smug grin off your face by giving you a punch square in the jaw and on your eye too. Pain coursed through your body, but you weren’t done yet. You moistened your lips and with your core strength you swung your legs and crossed them over the arm he was grabbing you with. With one fell swoop, you rotated your body on top and his back hit the floor. While on the dirt of the ring, you knew you had to act fast. In all the years you have been fighting, you knew that you couldn’t win by brute strength alone. Endless night you have been studying about the pressure points located in the bodies of humans. Everyone has a constant flow of energy that allows them to use their quirks. Once you block that energy flow, you block their quirks, temporarily. It was this small piece of knowledge that was going to make you win the battles to come. Without a second to lose, you positioned your hands in order to make a certain formation. Your pinky and ring fingers were held down by your thumbs leaving your middle in pointer fingers extended. You jabbed the pressure points located in his neck, shoulders, arms, legs, and chest. The stadium soon fell silent. As your opponent came to his senses, he groggily tried to get up, although his eyes looked tired and clouded. He tried to throw a right hook at your face, but you dodged. You grinned, his movements were significantly slowed and it felt like fighting a drunk. Slowly breathing in then out, you enacted a front handspring and finally jumped so high as to see the top of your opponent’s head and you used a hook kick that took him down from the neck where your leg made contact. He fell, and you were victorious.
Everyone applauded you and you offered them a lazy grin. This was the first fight that you weren’t beaten into a pulp. You were escorted out of the ring with a genuine smile plastered across your face. You went to the bathroom and took a hot shower and cleaned yourself up. It felt like a reward in itself. You changed into a baggy crew neck and equally baggy cargo pants as well. Your hair was still wet, but you couldn’t care less. As you looked at your complexion in the mirror, you touched your jaw gently and you hissed with pain. Although you won, you didn’t feel like a winner. You felt like a girl who had escaped getting killed on the field and was given a head splitting migraine.
Putting on your shoes and clutching your duffle bag, you left the bathroom for a final time. You met the lady at the front desk; the same location in which you had given her the entry fee. She smiled ear to ear once she saw you.
“I’m so glad that you made it out okay!” she beamed. “I watched the footage and you truly are the darling of this ring! I made a bet on you because I knew you could do it!”
“Thank you,” you smiled shyly, “I’m glad that you didn’t lose your money.”
“Are you kidding me? I’m glad that you made it out in one piece! Which reminds me!” You saw her lean down and grip a safe that was hidden from others in plain sight. She placed it on the desk and opened it using a combination. “You award for tonight!” With that, she pushed a check for 550,000 yen to you.
You couldn’t believe your eyes. “550,000 yen?” Your voice wavered, this was ten times the amount that you were supposed to earn for this one night. “I-Is this a joke?”
The lady looked at you with concern. “N-No! It’s all authentic darling. I actually spoke with some of your friends that train with you. And they say that they want you to have a better life than this.” She sighed, “Their words not mine, but they say that you aren’t very good at hiding that you are homeless. Since your first day at fighting, they were actually matching the amount of money you earned and putting a deposit in a separate account once they think the money they will give you can support you, for fighting for good, or something like that. They overheard that you had dreams of becoming a hero and they wanted to help you reach that threshold.”
As the lady babbled on and on, your voice began to crack and you couldn’t hold back your tears any longer. The years of busting your ass trying to survive off in the streets, even opting to sleep in public restrooms for safety—it was all going to end today. “I-I don’t know what to say.”
“You could say thank you.”
You heard a familiar voice and you whipped your head to see your friends who you fought with standing at the end of the tunnel. You gripped the check in your hand and you raced toward the people you could have called your family. You jumped and hugged everyone that was there. Your hug was filled with gratitude and love for the people there. Heartbeats mingled into one unwavering rhythm.
“Why would you guys do this?” you asked with such happiness in your eyes.
“Because!” one of your friends said. “You’re too damn young and too damn kind to be living like this. You deserve the whole world for making it out this far.” He looked at you with tired eyes that had seen the world for decades now. “We all want to see you thrive, and smile like there’s not a care in the world. We all want you to make it to U.A. and become a hero!”
Now, you were just a mess. Ugly crying was to be heard along with sniffles and smiles along the way. “I don’t know what to say other than…
Thank you!”
As you ran outside of the underground tunnel, you heard one of your friends joke around and say, “If we don’t see you on the big screens, we want our money back!”
You laughed and waved. “Don’t worry! I’ll be sure to give it back with added interest!”
Ღ
As you gazed at the high-end houses that stood neatly next to each other, you walked and looked at the addresses that could potentially match the one you were looking for. Then you saw him. For what you could assume to be his bedroom light, you could have sworn the boy you had met earlier had walked briskly past the window. It looked as if he was pacing back and forth frantically. Your shoes pattered against the sidewalk until you reached the front door of his house. His room was on the second floor and you cursed. Although you were good at hand to hand combat, you weren’t good at climbing people’s walls Rapunzel style. You were, unfortunately, not Flynn Rider. As you scaled the wall silently, as to not wake up any of the neighbors, you managed to find a resting stop under the presumed Taishiros window sill which was a minor roof that jutted out from the main body of the house. As you stood up on your tippy toes, you saw Taishiro pacing back and forth in a hurry. It looked like he was on the phone with his mom.
“I-I don’t know where I put it! I’m so screwed!”
The pit of guilt in your stomach just sank lower. God, you were just a selfish jackass weren’t you. Shaking your head, to get rid of those thoughts, you carefully opened his window once you saw his retreating figure head to another room. And carefully placed his wallet on the window sill. You heard his footsteps come closer and closer and you began to panic. You lost your balance and fell onto the ground. Thank god a rose bush was there to help the fall, not. You groaned but then as soon as you remembered your current situation, you ran as fast as you could into the moonlight.
ღ
“You know what, I think my teacher likes me, maybe she’ll be more lenient-” but Taishiro’s voice stopped to a halt. He looked at his window. He… He never remembered opening it up at this hour. “Hold on, I’ll call you back…” he said hesitantly and hung up the phone before the person on the other end could say anything. As he started to walk closer and closer to the window, he found the wallet he had been looking for, the wallet that made him nearly lose his mind over.
Opening the wallet, he saw a note tucked in the clear, plastic protector allocated for his middle school ID photo. It read:
“hey! absolute zero here! i just wanted to say that you lost your wallet somewhere and thank god there was an address along with your shining face :D here’s my number if you wanna talk (xxx)-xxx-xxxx”
Taishiro’s face burst into flames and he looked outside to see if you were there. You weren’t, but nonetheless, he grinned. As he counted the money in his wallet once more, he noticed the extra wadded up 1000 yen bill that was to be seen between the stacks of 10,000 yen bills. And he gave a boisterous laugh that echoed in the halls of his home.

It was the aftermath of the internships and Class 1-A, for once, had a moment to breathe.
Everyone was a little on edge after everything that had happened recently, but they were slowly getting back to their routines.
Just as the class was settling down the door to their classroom slid open with an ominous creak.
Aizawa stood at the threshold, his tired eyes surveying the room.
"It has come to my attention we have a new transfer student. And yes I've just found out today after being called to Nezu's, so don't ask any questions cause I'm just as lost as you." he mutters darkly before pausing for a moment. "Just forewarning: she might be...a little overwhelming."
Before they could even process what that meant a dramatic voice pierces the air from just outside the door.
"There you are my rugged, handsome man! Did you miss me? Because I missed you!"
Everyone blinked in confusion as they turned their heads toward the door.
What the hell was this? Aizawa handsome? Whoever was saying that was clearly laying it on thick.
The Underground Hero's face dropped from pure exhaustion. Without a word, he reach his arm back outside the door and gently pulled.
You stumbled into the room with a giggle, clinging to Aizawa's arm like an affectionate schoolgirl.
The class stared slack-jawed.
You were gorgeous; pink curls with pink eyes to match and a shape that made every set of eyes (except Aizawa lol) widen.
"Sensei," you teased with a flutter of your lashes, "don't act so grumpy. I know you missed me."
Your body was practically draped over their teacher as you gazed up at him with starry eyes.
"Just...get inside," Aizawa muttered, trying to shake you off as he dragged you further into the room. But you didn't seem to notice.
Then it happened—you turned your head and, for the first time, laid eyes on the entire 1-A.
Your smile faded for just a heartbeat as your eyes widened, taking in the sight of all the students staring back at you.
It was a strange silence as your gaze darted from one face to another like they were the most fascinating thing you'd ever seen.
"So many pretty faces," you murmured to yourself in awe.
Your voice dropped into a dreamy tone and your eyes sparkled like you had just found a room full of treasures.
Without warning you gasped loudly and covered your mouth in mock surprise. "Are you kidding me?! No one told me Class 1-A was full of such cuties! Aizawa-sensei you should have warned me!"
"I don't know where to start...Everyone here is so—" Your breath hitched as your eyes gleamed with pure admiration. "Beautiful."
The class was now fully immersed in your presence; half-flattered while the other half-in shock.
Pink tinges of embarrassment began to blossom on cheeks around the room.
Izuku's eyes widened in panic as he caught your gaze causing his freckles to glow a deeper red.
Momo blinked rapidly, unsure how to react to such blatant adoration.
Even Todoroki who is usually unbothered by attention, seemed slightly uncomfortable under your puppy-eyed gaze.
"I... I don't understand what's happening," Iida muttered from the back as he adjusted his glasses in confusion.
They had no idea how to respond to this, especially with the way you were looking at them—made it feel like you were falling in love with each of them on the spot.
And then came the scream.
"My Goddess!"
All heads whipped around to see Mineta launch himself from his desk, hearts practically bursting from his eyes.
He sprinted across the room with an intensity that caught everyone off guard; his arms outstretched and drool already dribbling from his mouth.
"M-my Queen! My radiant, beautiful Queen has arrived!"
Some of the class immediately moved to stop him—Kirishima started forward, Bakugo cracked his knuckles in annoyance, even Aizawa lifted a hand as if preparing to pull Mineta back.
But before anyone could stop him you did something no one expected: you dropped to your knees with arms open.
"My lil grape juice!"
To everyone's utter disbelief you caught Mineta in a massive hug and bury his face into your chest without a second thought.
He lets out a muffled squeal of pure ecstasy before melting into your embrace, wriggling with joy as if he had ascended to some higher plane of existence.
Kaminari looked between you and Mineta in disbelief. "Wait—what?!"
"We were childhood besties," you announced proudly, arms still wrapped tightly around Mineta. "Oh I've missed you so much my lil grape juice. Isn't he just the cutest?! I could just drink you up!"
"I volunteer as tribute!" Mineta wailed in joy, earning a few groans from the class.
Kirishima gave a small, hesitant laugh, scratching the back of his head. "I...didn't see that coming."
Iida's hand shot into the air. "Aizawa-sensei! I don't believe this is appropriate behavior between students, especially on school grounds!"
Visibly exhausted and rubbing his temples, Aizawa finally pried you off Mineta (sending the perverted boy back to his seat) with a deadpan look. "Enough. Get on with the introduction."
Giving a playful pout you obey and turn back to the class with a wink that sent another wave of blushing throughout the room. "My name is ____, but you can can me yours if you want! I like nice walks on the beach, dancing to slow music, hmm what else..."
"Alright that's enough," he muttered already done with you. "Take your seat. Let's get started."
You nod with a mock salute before heading toward the nearest empty chair.
As you sat down, you rested your chin in your hand and cast one last look around the room.
Every face was so unique, so fascinating, so adorable.
You bit your lip, already falling a little bit in love with each and every one of them.
This was going to be fun.
.*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
The lunch bell rang and before any of the students had a chance to approach you, Mineta grabbed your hand and dragged you toward the cafeteria. "Come on my Goddess! Let me treat you!"
You couldn't help but laugh, your usual dramatic flair momentarily replaced by genuine fondness as you followed along, letting him lead the way.
Mineta was positively glowing with pride and excitement.
The other students gave you both curious glances as they passed by, but Mineta didn't seem to care—he was too wrapped up in the joy of showing you off.
The entire cafeteria had their eyes on you the moment you entered anyway, and you were perfectly fine with that.
In fact, you thrived on it.
He wasted no time, quickly spotting an empty table near the window and practically launching himself into a chair before you.
Or, rather, onto your lap.
Mineta climbed onto your thighs as if this was the most natural thing in the world, beaming like a child on their birthday.
He gazed up at you with those large, adoring eyes that made you chuckle softly.
"Ah, perfect," Mineta sighed dreamily as you adjusted him to sit more comfortably on your lap. "This is how it should always be."
"Well I did miss pampering you," you teased, grabbing a fork and scooping a bite of food toward his mouth.
His eyes sparkled with glee and opened wide like an eager little bird.
As you fed him, you couldn't help but coo at the sight—this tiny ball of energy content and blissed out in your lap, soaking up the attention as if he were royalty.
And, to him, maybe he was.
His head was resting against your chest, legs dangling over yours. And every time you raised another bite of food to his lips, he'd wiggle in delight.
"You have no idea how much I've missed this," Mineta practically moaned after swallowing another bite. "A total babe, feeding me? This is the life."
"Oh I bet it is," you purr with a playful wink, offering him another forkful, which he accepted with hearts practically radiating from his eyes.
It was a scene straight out of some kind of bizarre fanfiction, and you could practically feel the bewildered stares from all around the room.
Some of the girls were openly gaping while a few of the boys exchanged envious, disbelieving looks.
You were blissfully unaware of the reactions, too focused on Mineta's adorable expressions as you continued feeding him.
Each bite was accompanied by exaggerated praise from him, his words flowing with all the enthusiasm of someone in absolute heaven.
"Oh, I love when you feed me ____! This is the best thing ever!" Mineta exclaimed between bites, cuddling closer to you.
You chuckled softly. "You really know how to flatter me Minoru."
Just as you were about to feed him another bite, the cafeteria doors swung open.
You glanced up from Mineta to see a familiar group of students approaching and instantly brightened.
They approached curiously, finding the dynamic between you and Mineta a little off-putting.
It wasn't every day that someone gave Mineta such doting attention after all.
"Yo," Kaminari greeted with his usual carefree grin, casually waving a hand as he led the group closer to your table.
Mina, Sero, and Kirishima flanked him—and just behind was Bakugo with his usual scowl as if he'd rather be anywhere else.
He was pointedly not looking directly at you, as if avoiding eye contact would make this interaction shorter.
"Wow! So it's true," Mina's pink eyes gleamed with amusement as she took in the sight of Mineta on your lap. "You really do spoil him."
"Like a King," you say with a playful wink, offering Mineta another bite of food.
He accepted it with a dreamy sigh, practically melting further into your arms.
Kirishima scratched the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. "Man this is...different. I mean, I've seen a lot, but this—"
"I know right?" Kaminari snickered. "No wonder Grape Juice has been so hyped about you coming here. He's practically living the dream!"
Sero nodded, shooting a teasing look at Mineta. "Gotta admit, I'm kinda impressed. Didn't think you'd actually manage to convince someone to—"
"We're childhood friends!" Mineta interrupted, puffing out his chest with pride as if this fact somehow made him the luckiest guy alive. "We go way back. She's always been this amazing!"
You chuckled, ruffling his hair affectionately before turning your attention to the rest of the group.
"Well, don't just stand there! Come on, come on!" You waved them over, gesturing to the empty seats at the table. "I've been dying to meet all of you."
Kaminari slid into a seat next to you without hesitation while Mina plopped down across the table, her smile widening as she rested her chin on her hands.
Kirishima sat beside Mina, though he was still laughing awkwardly at the whole scene while Sero casually took a seat on your other side.
Bakugo, meanwhile, remained standing. His arms were crossed as he glared down at the table, clearly not interested in participating in whatever this was.
You, however, weren't about to let him off the hook so easily.
"I've heard so much about you all," your eyes shined as you leaned in slightly, making sure to make eye contact with each of them. "I watched the Sports Festival, and I have to say...I fell for all of you."
Mina blinked in surprise and Sero nearly fell out his seat.
Even Kirishima looked momentarily flustered by your bold statement.
"Wait, all of us?" Kaminari asked, voice rising slightly in hope and disbelief.
You nodded vigorously, placing a hand over your heart. "Every. Single. One. I just couldn't resist. I was swooning the whole time."
Mina broke into a fit of giggles. "Oh my God you're too much!"
Kirishima flushed red, rubbing the back of his neck with a sharp sheepish grin. "I-I don't even know what to say to that."
Sero snickered as he leaned back in his seat. "Well you've got good taste that's for sure."
Bakugo, on the other hand, bristled visibly.
His scowl deepened as he shot you a sharp glare, crimson eyes narrowing in disbelief. "What kind of dumbass falls for everyone?!"
You turn your attention to the explosive blond.
"Oh don't worry Kacchan," you coo, leaning forward ever so slightly, "I fell for you hard during that explosion. So powerful, so fierce. It was kinda hot."
Bakugo's cheeks tinted the faintest shade of pink and he immediately averted his eyes, scowling harder as if willing the embarrassment away.
"You're annoying," he growled under his breath, though the redness in his face betrayed his words.
Kaminari laughed so hard he nearly fell out of his chair. "Bro she's got you blushing!"
Mina was already snapping photos with her phone, giggling uncontrollably. "Oh this is too good!"
Sero grinned elbowing Kirishima. "Looks like Bakugo's not immune either."
"Shut the hell up!" Bakugo barked with fists clenched at his sides, the pink flush deepening. "I'm not—"
"Oh don't be shy," you flutter your lashes at him teasingly. "It's okay to take a compliment you know. You deserve it, don't you my strong dynamightie~"
"Shut up!" he snapped again, his voice a little too loud causing a few heads to turn in your direction.
You couldn't help but laugh at his reaction thoroughly enjoying how easily you had gotten under his skin.
But your attention shifted just as quickly as it had landed on the temperamental teen.
You turned to Mina with a sly grin.
"And you?" you say, leaning forward slightly. "That pink skin? The wild hair? You're absolutely stunning. I'm already obsessed."
"Okay stop! You're gonna make me blush!" She flushed, flipping her hair back with dramatic flair. "
Sero snickered, elbowing Kirishima who was still looking a little red. "She's gonna make us all blush at this rate."
"What can I say? I like what I like." You catch the red-head's gaze, sending him a soft approving look that only made him blush harder.
"Well," Kirishima his smile widened, "welcome to the class 1-A ____. I think you're gonna fit in just fine."
You grinned, leaning back in your seat with Mineta still draped over your lap. "Oh I know I will."
.*.·:·.☽✧✧☾.·:·.*
The post-lunch lull settled over Class 1-A, though the air still buzzed with curiosity.
And although it wasn't technically a free period, Aizawa had disappeared somewhere (likely to mentally prepare himself for handling your presence again).
This gave them a little time to breathe—and for some of the more curious students, time to finally approach you.
You had (unsurprisingly) garnered quite a bit of attention with your earlier theatrics in class and during lunch.
That and the fact that Mineta claimed you as his childhood bestie only added to the intrigue.
Sitting comfortably at your desk humming a tune while casually twirling a strand of pink hair between your fingers, you notice the cautious approach of a small group of students—Izuku, Uraraka, Iida, and Asui.
You smiled to yourself. They were all so adorable in their own unique ways.
Izuku was the first to speak up, his voice wavering slightly as he rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness. "Uh, h-hey, ____. We...well, we had a few questions."
You tilted your head curiously. "Questions? How mysterious."
Caught off guard by the way your eyes gleamed with amusement, Izuku quickly fumble with his words as he continued. "W-well, we were just wondering...about your quirk."
Ah the classic question. You had expected this sooner or later.
You watch him with lidded eyes you lean forward just slightly, resting your chin in your hand.
"Oh?" you purred, voice dripping with amusement. "You want to know about my quirk?"
Izuku blinked, a hint of pink already blooming on his freckled cheeks. "Uh, yeah," he stammered, his grip on the notebook tightening. "I-It'd be really helpful to—"
"Well," you interrupted, leaning in even closer, until your face was just a breath away from his, heart-shaped pupils shimmering playfully.
Izuku stiffened instantly, his blush deepening. "I might tell you...but only if I get a little kiss out of it."
For a moment the world seemed to stop. Izuku's eyes widened in pure, unfiltered shock as his face immediately turned into an intense shade of crimson.
"A-a k-kiss?!" he sputtered, his voice pitching up several octaves as his brain scrambled to process what you'd just said.
You hummed softly, leaning in so close that your lips were barely brushing the corner of his mouth.
"Just a little one," you teased, your breath warm against his skin. "Come on, Midoriya-chan...What's the harm?"
The effect was immediate; Izuku's brain completely short-circuited and his knees buckled.
He swayed on the spot, face a deep burning red as his vision swam.
"W-wait—" he mumbled before his legs gave out beneath him and he collapsed, fainting right into Iida's waiting arms.
"Midoriya!" Iida cried, catching him just in time and carefully lowering him into a chair. "Are you alright?!"
Izuku's eyes fluttered weakly, his face still bright red as he mumbled incoherently.
Uraraka, who had been watching the scene, looked utterly floored.
Her wide brown eyes darted between you and Izuku's limp form as her cheeks flushed with a mixture of surprise and something else—something that felt a lot like...jealousy.
"H-Hey! That wasn't fair!" she blurted out, her voice a little louder than she intended. "You can't just—just—"
You straightened up. "Oh? You sound upset."
"Are you..." Standing up from your seat with a graceful motion you step toward her with a smirk. "...perhaps jealous?"
"J-jealous?!" Uraraka stammers, her face turning an even deeper shade of red. "N-no! I'm not—I mean, I—"
You reached out and gently took her hand in yours, lifting it slowly to your lips.
"It's okay," your voice soft and almost affectionate. "You could always take his place you know."
Uraraka's eyes widened, her heart practically leaping out of her chest as you leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her fingertips.
The room seemed to tilt for a moment, and all she could do was stand there frozen in place as your lips lingered on her skin.
"What do you say?" you whispered, your eyes gleaming as you raised an eyebrow suggestively.
Uraraka blinked rapidly as her mind tried to process what was happening.
For a brief dizzying moment she felt like she might actually pass out. Her lips parted as if to respond, but no words came out.
Finally, you let out a soft amused laugh and press a kiss on her cheek.
The look of pure shock that crossed her face was priceless.
She stared at you speechless as if she couldn't quite believe what had just happened.
You gave her a fond smile, your tone softening. "I couldn't help it," you teased gently. "You're just too pretty."
It was around this moment that Izuku stirred back to consciousness, groaning as Iida helped him sit up.
"M-Midoriya!" Uraraka quickly rushed to his side, her face still red as she helped him sit up properly. "Are you okay?"
He blinked a few times, still looking dazed as he tried to make sense of what had just happened. "W-what...happened?"
You smiled brightly at him, waving your fingers in a little greeting. "Welcome back my stawberry! I was just about to explain my quirk."
Izuku's eyes widened, his face once again turning red as he scrambled to sit up straighter even though his legs still wobbled a bit. "Y-yes! I-I'd love to know!"
You chuckled, amused by his eagerness despite what had just happened. "Alright alright. Since you're all sooo curious."
"My quirk," you lean back slightly as you start speaking, "is called Love." You paused for dramatic effect, watching their expressions shift from curiosity to fascination. "Basically I can make people feel the emotions they associate with love. It doesn't mean they are in love, but it triggers the same hormones and feelings you'd experience when falling for someone: affection, admiration, desire, all those good things."
Asui's eyes narrowing thoughtfully with a croak. "So ribbit you can make people ribbit fall for you?"
You shook your head. "Not exactly. Simply make them feel what they'd naturally feel when they're infatuated or attracted to someone. It's not mind control or anything like that, but it does make them more susceptible to me. Easier to get them to listen, to trust, and well..." You smirk. "...fluster."
Izuku's quirk-fanatic brain already began to process and analyze the information.
"That's... amazing," he muttered as he pulled out his notebook and scribbling furiously. "So it's a psychological effect that triggers the brain's response to love hormones, like oxytocin and dopamine—"
Iida gave a chop in the air at the revelation. "Such complexities to a quirk as yours!"
"Oh trust me," you say with a wink, "it can be. Especially because I can't help but find everyone attractive. You all have something about you that's just so cute or hot in your own way."
You gestured around the room. "I see it in everyone...even little Minoru."
Mineta, who had been eavesdropping from across the room, immediately puffed up with pride, earning groans from the rest of the students.
Uraraka look at you in amazement. "So...you can't help but...fall for people?"
You nodded, expression softening slightly. "That's the downside. I feel drawn to people all the time. It's exhausting sometimes, but I've learned to live with it. It's kind of fun too."
The quartet stared at you for a moment clearly trying to absorb everything you'd just told them.
Finally you clapped your hands together, breaking the tension with a bright smile.
"Well now that the secret's out," you said with a playful grin, "I suppose we'll just have to see who's next to fall for me."
With a wink, you saunter away; leaving them staring after you in a daze, completely unsure of what had just happened—or what to expect next.
