Pepper's whole back end is wiggling with the wag of her tail. Dangling from her mouth and dragging between her long legs is a plush, fleece blanket covered in a star pattern. She snorts affirmatively and drops the end of the blanket against Kamado's midsection, though it just drops to the floor. The greyhound noses at the blanket to keep offering it and fussing at her.

Kamado isn't sure how she keeps collecting blankets, but she isn't mad about it. Always good to stash up blankets.

"Thank you, Pepper," Kamado signs before picking up the blanket. After wrapping it around herself, Kamado promptly sits on the floor so that she can give Pepper her undivided attention. She can't help but make little kissy noises at the dog. Pepper's too cute to resist!

day and night all blurred together. another failed mission, another dimension shattered: all blended into one helpless soul grasping at Miguel's hand, pleading for salvation he couldn’t give as their timeline died again, again, again. habit dyed gray like stains and smoke that could never seem to wash out. he tirelessly scrubbed, knuckles raw and bleeding, yet the stains remained, embedded in the fibers of all their interwoven existences ── it never washed out. nor did the filth beneath fingernails, and in the creases of his skin. every time he saw himself, he was repulsed by the grime that must be hiding there even if he couldn’t see it.

what could they all have done that a loving God could not forgive them for? ── he wondered what did he do to be surely painted in all this suffering and death? but Miguel would go about his duties all the same. even though the fear of this trial seemed to feast upon the substance of his soul, even though he saw flashes of his daughter's eyes; the space that once occupied now vacant before flickering out, devoid of presence, in every living face around him ── he couldn’t help it.

his job was to protect them. he must protect the multiverse. it's a solemn vow held him steadfast in the face of realities ( all variants and not ) warped / distorting like a reflection in a shattered mirror. ❝ from what I’ve seen of this world ── I guess God must have a sense of humor, no? ❞ he asked, with crossed arms and pursed lips, chewing the thought over. ❝ we all bear the burden of sin, it is true, but it should not solely define who we are. ❞

Random Headcanon Meme - Accepting

Okay okay so sit here with me, I've been thinking about this headcanon for AWHILE NOW, and this one might be a little rough draft/babble more than a concrete and nicely written headcanon so hopefully that's okay!

So we all know Spider-man's big thing is that no matter how many times he gets knocked down he ALWAYS gets back up right? Peter over the several years he has been on the job has gotten a NUMBER of injuries over the years and they always heal. The bigger more SERIOUS injuries take longer to knit themselves back together and if Peter was to get enough RAPID trauma all at once it could ABSOLUTELY kill him, he isn't Wolverine by ANY MEANS.

All of this babble to say that Peter is RIDDLED in scars. Now don't get me wrong, small little injuries? Those don't leave a mark when his skin eventually knits itself back together. BUT any injury that would have KILLED a normal human? Those leave ANGRY and VIOLENT looking scars all over his body.

Peter isn't ashamed of them, and never bothers to try and hide them. It is just what his body looks like, and he is happy with that. If anything it just proves that he is STILL KICKING and honestly? In this day and age? In his line of work? That's IMPRESSIVE.

There are some MOMENTS when a partner is particularly focused one them he might get a little SELF CONSCIOUS.. but more so in the he has never really been a fan of making people worry about him. The Scars were often a REMINDER of how many times Peter had gotten close to dying. So he honestly couldn't blame them, and when it does happen he will go out of his way to DISTRACT them.

*. i LOVE jinx so much but getting into a mindset of someone with a mental disorder that i DO NOT HAVE is taxing and i always try to walk a very fine line of vague referencing to her hallucinations as opposed to blatantly having the voices say clear sentences. the show is very easy to use as reference for that but the nail in the coffin on jinx being a toughie is her voice. she has a very odd manner of speech that i cant always get to just.. flow out if that makes sense ????

The voice in the dog collar would probably think he was talking in the third person, for some reason, but Jake wasn’t all that concerned about what a disembodied voice thought of him.

He was mostly concerned with the leaked information. That was going to complicate things.

He tried to keep his annoyance and irritation to a minimum, though, not wanting to freak the dog out by being upset. Animals were smart—they could sense your emotions and shit. Holding a hand out for her to sniff, letting the wrappings around it disappear, he clicked his tongue softly. “Not mad at you, cariño,” he assured her. “You’re a good girl.”

Just about everybody here has lost someone close to them, although Ma and I were never really "close." I don't like to mention my mom's alive and unfortunately well, around people who are still feeling the loss of their uncles, dads, and moms that I'm sure were much nicer than mine. She's always hated me, as much as she tries to deny it. Which is fine by me. She can hate me from all the way in her nice, private room in upstate Nueva York, which I still make monthly deposits on, all she wants.

Headcanon Meme i think? - Accepting

No one really should be that surprised that the most obscure books he has read are comic books. He has a terrifyingly extensive knowledge. (One that is only growing now he has access to the multiverse.)

There are probably a few he could call to mind at any given time, but two of the obscure comics he has read are Enemy Ace & Anthro .
