¡Diabólico cumpleaños! el de Olve Eikemo, mejor conocido como Abbath, fundador de la banda Immortal, nacido en Bergen Noruega hace 51 años. El impenetrable rostro lleno de frío y oscuridad que lideró por más de veinte años el intenso, lúgubre y glacial sonido de Immortal, la banda más gélida y poderosa de black metal surgida de los bosques noruegos. Lamentablemente fricciones internas hicieron que en 2015 abandonara la banda que él creó en 1991. Pero con su nueva formación, simplemente llamada Abbath, ya con tres excelentes álbumes, continúa rindiendo tributo a los demonios del invierno.

If there are any members I’ve excluded it is most likely because I fucking hate them. If you submit a request for someone and I refuse to do it then it’s either because: it makes me uncomfortable to write for said person especially if it’s smut, I don’t know enough about them to write a fic or I hate them. It’ll probably be one of those three reasons so please understand and respect that. If there’s someone/a band not on this list or the “won’t do” list, it doesn’t necessarily mean I won’t do them. I might have simply forgotten to add them so please ask.

I will also write for certain non-musicians such as historical figures and/or fictional characters. Give me a shout in requests and I may or may not be willing to write for them. As an example, I will write for Manfred and Lothar von Richthofen. Not musicians but I adore them.

Truth be told, it spawned from a convoluted EuroVarg head canon about jealousy I had. Because to an extent in the beginning Varg had a very high opinion of Euro and ( in my opinion ) a bit of an obsession with him. And what would make him more jealous than the man he used to be in a band with taking up all of Euro’s time? And then AbbathEuro just sorta escalated into its own ship based off of Abbath’s few times he’s talked about Euro. And the height difference. That’s pretty important too.

The difference between Abbath and Varg is that, Abbath is a joker, Varg on the other hand, is a joke.

GW : You were in Old Funeral with Varg [...]. Some have said he wasn’t serious about the music. Is that true.

DEMONAZ : Varg was only with them for the last half year…

ABBATH : It was actually me who got Varg into Old Funeral. Well, about Varg… [pauses] Fuck Varg!

GW : Pure Holocaust was released in 1993, the year Varg killed Euronymous. Do you remember your reaction when you first heard about his murder?

DEMONAZ : It was a shock to us all. Basically, it was a conflict between him and Varg. Everybody knows that story, so I don’t think we should go into it. But I will say that up until that time we were very much in contact with Euronymous. I had known him from a long time before, and he was always really into Immortal’s stuff.

ABBATH : Euronymous was very supportive of Immortal and we really liked and appreciated that. He meant a lot for Immortal in our early stage. And that he got killed…I just wished…it was just so extra bad that Varg was involved in that murder, because Varg was also a friend of ours. It was a fucking tragedy. There’s just no other way to say it.
