Something I would LOVE to read Murtagh saying to Vanir, who is not restraining himself with snide comments.

Murtagh: I’ve spent my entire life around nobles who look down at me for my parentage and social position. You are not a new challenge for me, Ambassador.

(Could be taken as fighting words I know, but dang I want something like this!)

The excerpt from Eldest speaking of Murtagh before Eragon realizes it’s him.

Me: Is this possible foreshadowing? Or could be used as foreshadowing in a later book? 😏

Once Vanir learns that Murtagh is in Ilirea, he’s not going to pass up opportunities to insult Murtagh in his arrogant, air-thin veiled but diplomatic way.

More likely Murtagh’s going to have verbal rather than steel clashing exchanges with Vanir, but a girl can dream.
