White Terrorists Safely Taking Siege Of Capitol Highlights Policing Double Standard, Twitter Reacts
Source: Jon Cherry / Getty
Today (Jan. 6), Donald Trump supporters, in this case also terrorists since they’re on in the same, were able to stroll into the Capitol in Washington as Congress was certifying the electoral votes that mean Joe Biden will take office on Jan. 20. As a Black man, watching the obvious double standard in how white people are policed versus people of color, today’s circus of political struggle was infuriating.
to make it here without dying is the epitome of white privilege pic.twitter.com/Uw5FV33bpO — Noah Caine (@NoahCaine) January 6, 2021

Almost immediately, the contrast was striking. While the protests after the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, as just one example, in 2020 were marred with suspect arrests and the brutalization of protesters, Trump’s flunkies were able to stroll into the Capitol wears America’s elected officials were convening.
These terrorists were met with little resistance and soon enough were dispersed throughout the Capitol, forcing lawmakers to shelter in place in their offices as if a gunman was on the loose. Social media was soon enough littered with photos and video of MAGA acolytes trespassing in the offices of people like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi as rioters also broke windows and waved the Confederate Flag in the building.
this is what #whiteprivilege is. Had it been Black Lives Matter they wouldn’t have even gotten the chance to get inside. Many would have already been arrested, pepper sprayed, and shot at. pic.twitter.com/WdE5nswZFe — matorma (@_matorma) January 6, 2021
Nevertheless, the police seemed to do their absolute best not to put hands on protesters. Many immediately noted that if these were people of color “protesting” they’d sure be catching batons upside their head, or worse. Pick any large Black Lives Matter protest this is obvious. The jig was particularly noted on Twitter, with hashtags like #whiteprivilege and #amerikkka trending that highlighted the obvious difference in policing tactics when it’s Black people peacefully protesting.
Throughout the day, hundreds of the rioters committed federal crimes. But reportedly, only 13 people were actually arrested while the entire world witnessed all types of trespassing and vandalizing property, at least.
Perhaps the biggest show of disrespect to many (like say people have to worry about if they’ll make it home if a cop pulls them over), was the footage of what looked like a member of SWAT helping a “protester” in a Trump hat down the Capitol steps while gently holding her hand.

Son.
Peep more of the outrage and head-scratching (but not really) police behavior below. Whether you say “defund” or “reform” how the authorities deal with its citizens through the lens of systemic racism must be addressed, expeditiously.

CJ court watch - 16aug23 - selective enforcement case
U.S. Court of Appeals for DC decided Frederick Douglass Foundation, Inc. v. DC, 21-7108 on August 15, 2023.
DC has an ordinance that prohibits vandalism. DC did less than nothing about BLM spray painting “Defund the Police,” “Our Streets,” and “Abolish the Police,” nor was anyone apparently arrested for similar messages.
The Frederick Douglass Foundation chalked “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter” on a sidewalk and were arrested.
A selective enforcement claim has two elements: a plaintiff must demonstrate (1) he was similarly situated in material respects to other individuals against whom the law was not enforced, and (2) the selective enforcement infringed a constitutional right****
The government may not enforce the laws in a manner that picks winners and losers in public debates. It would undermine the First Amendment’s protections for free speech if the government could enact a content-neutral law and then discriminate against disfavored viewpoints under the cover of prosecutorial discretion. *** Neutral regulations may reasonably limit the time, place, and manner of speech, but such regulations cannot be enforced based on the content or viewpoint of speech.

The following month, another alleged antifa threat, even wilder than the others, found its way to the Skagit County Sheriff, documents show. In this case, it involved two overturned port-a-potties in a gravel pit near a boat launch in Concrete, Washington.
One of the port-a-potties had been spray painted with the acronym “ACAB,” short for “all cops are bastards.” The other was tagged with an A in a circle, an anarchist symbol. But where some observers might have seen common vandalism symbols, the tipster who photographed the port-a-potties saw something more ominous—maybe even part of a plot to blow up a dam.
“Looks like Antifa has been up to Lake Shannon,” the tipster wrote in an email that was forwarded to the Skagit County Sheriff. “That’s incredibly worrisome. The anarchy symbol, ‘ACAB’ (all cops are bastards)... that’s an Antifa signature. Too close to town, for sure... but really worrisome when you consider Antifa is now using explosives in cities, organizing with firearms, and... by being at the lake, they were right next to the dam. Just sayin’. Can'tbe [sic] too careful, you know? Not in these times.”
A sergeant ordered the area to be monitored, claiming that anti-fascists might have previously used the gravel pit as a “training area.”
“Please be aware that there have been some antifa type graffiti at the Lake Shannon boat launch and surrounding area,” the sergeant wrote. “Please monitor the area and be careful. A few years ago we had information that some of them were using the pit for training purposes.”
When reached for comment, a Skagit County Sheriff spokesperson told The Daily Beast the department did not have any information about incidents at the gravel pit.

you’ve heard of the toppats
now get ready for
bandandits!! more info below the cut if you care enough! :P
Leader : Logan ??? Second in Command : f0xx Firr Allies: The Poets Enemies: The Government (to an extent), Police Forces Neutral: Toppats, Crownimals (does however help Poets every once in a while), CCC
Strong standers of ACAB and BLM, they spray paint tags, usually tend to be smiles with teeth, to claim territory or start wars. They tend to start riots in downtown areas. Not afraid to fight back at all whatsoever. Y’know those videos of protesters taking the fuck out of police officers and throwing back tear gas? Yeah, that’s them. Anyone is free to join, be it fellow protesters or ex-officers. They don’t care. They usually enlist Henry whenever they’re able to get in contact with him to assist them with major events (Stealing, protesting, rioting, vandalism, etc etc), the leader seems to have a... peculiar... interest in Stickmin specifically

as someone who was raised catholic and is still a practicing catholic, fuck trump.
St Patrick's Cathedral has had multiple more dangerous incidents prior to this. 1914, it was literally bombed. and they were able to rebuild it and it's still standing. a little spray paint and tagging isnt going to destroy a cathedral.
and to all the people who are saying that it'll cost money to clean something that shouldn't have been vandalized. do you understand how much money the catholic church has? it is the richest religious organization in the world. we arent hurting for money and you dont need to get in our business about our building.
you can't scrub a dub dub a bit and get back someone's life.
trump went to St John Paul II's national shrine and bowed his head as if he's praying. as if he knows how to pray. this man held a bible upside down just the day before. as if he knows anything about who he's standing in front of.
he uses religion as a prop and propaganda. I havent been praying every night hoping God hears me for the blm movement for this man to pretend he knows anything about religion. he's deplorable.
to all those who got angry at archbishop george for calling trump out, where was that energy when trump galavanted in front of a church for a photo op after forcing priests from the church.
the pope himself stated that racism isnt acceptable.
both leaders of the churches and diocese he's visited have renounced his actions. so if you're as religious as you claim, listen to your leaders

Iowa: Most charges against Muslim BLM riot leader dropped - despite parole violations
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" ~ Animal Farm, George Orwell
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Lawyers say most charges have been dropped against an Iowa City man who led protests against police brutality and racial injustice.
The lawyers for Mazin Mohamedali say Friday they have reached an agreement with Johnson County prosecutors to dismiss five of six pending charges against the man.
He was arrested June 7 on charges of unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct after taking part in a protest near Interstate 80 that ended when officers used tear gas and flash grenades to disperse a crowd. Mohamedali was then ordered jailed on a parole violation, as a probation officer cited comments he had made about upcoming protests. He’d been convicted in 2018 on charges connected to a gas station robbery.
-----------------------------------
The original arrest and charges:
The criminal complaint specifies the charges stem from a Wednesday protest where marchers confronted a line of law enforcement at the Dubuque Street ramps onto Interstate 80 where police wanted to stop people from entering the interstate. The criminal complaint says Mahmedali participated in an unlawful protest with several hundred people that blocked roadways.
"While blocking roadways, multiple participants of the group spray painted/defaced/caused property damage to property which included roadways, street signs and buildings.
Mohamedali is also charged with a probation violation from his conviction of second-degree robbery for holding up the Kum and Go on Mormon Trek Blvd. with a knife in 2018. Police arrested him with the knife and stolen money. He was initially charged with first-degree robbery and took a plea deal to the lesser charge and was sentenced to 1 year at a residential facility. He had also faced a probation violation in December and January for possession of marijuana.
Mohamedali had a fiery end to a Saturday rally before another march through Iowa City with a group vandalizing property, including University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Kinnick Stadium. Mohamedali told Iowa City’s mayor he was frustrated with waiting for reforms to policing, shouted to the crowd and announced the start of that march.
The group presented a list of 13 demands to Iowa City leaders aimed at reforming the police and achieving racial equality in the criminal justice system.

Good job dumbasses. You defaced the statute to a dead white guy and congratulated yourselves, didnt you? Did you even bother to read the name on the monument?
Why bother? You’re zealots for a cause so nothing you do could possible be wrong because your cause is just and anyone who won’t bend a knee to you is wrong and must be punished, dead or alive.
Well here’s his name: Matthias Baldwin.
Matthias Baldwin was born back in 1795 and came to Pennsylvania to apprentice with a jeweler. He eventually became the founder of Baldwin Locomotive Co.
Baldwin was also an ardent abolitionist. He argued in favor of Blacks having the same voting rights as whites during the debates that produced the Pennsylvania constitution in 1837. He founded and paid for schools to educate Blacks. His company hired Black workers. These were radical positions back in the day, but I guess for you SJW assholes, it’s not enough.

Re: your tags on the America needs PA video - my parents live in rural eastern PA and people are definitely afraid to put Biden signs up. Parents have had at least 3 and counting stolen so far, and had a scare when they first put them up with a nail in the tire of a parked car.
My original tags: #tbh i think people are afraid to put out biden signs#this is big gun and white supremacist country#no one wants to make themselves a target when the civil war starts#yeah it sounds crazy#but it's 2020
Our neighbors out the road had a bedsheet banner painted with BLM and a Biden sign; the sign was gone last I was by there and the banner had been replaced with a new one (different color spray paint), presumably because vandalism.
Also, sorry to hear about the tire. People around here do that shit, too. We’ve had two big political goin’s-on in town in the last two decades (one to keep out a proposed racetrack/ rally course/ resort for high-end sports cars and one to keep Nestle from stealing our water) and there was a lot of that kind of vandalism--cars being keyed & spray painted, tires slashed, mailboxes and garbage cans smashed, trash strewn around, etc.
It’s such a bummer. I mean, I grew up with these people, so I knew most of them were assholes to begin with, but at least they were the kind of assholes that kept their worst assholery to themselves. Now they’re just tits out and no fucks to give, which is really scary because they super love their guns and don’t see people who are different from them as human. Which, again, I knew (what with the being queer and probably-autistic and atheist), but I always assumed I’d never be the target of any violence simply for existing; now, who knows? Maybe it’s paranoid or whatever, but if like a decade ago you told me anything that Trump did in just 2020 alone I would have said that’s a bad dystopian future movie, America’s bad but not that bad... and here we are.

There's been a lot of vandalism going on. My town put up a BLM board and someone came and wrote WLM. And we think the same person that did that went around to my neighborhood and vandalized stuff because it's so close to town. My family put up a teepee for this weekend because we planned on having a pow-wow with family, and WLM was sprayed painted on it. It was made with real buffalo-skin. It's been in my family for 52 years :( My black neighbors got WLM written on their house too.
It’s someone trying start shit just cause they can
If someone has Ring or outside camera maybe they can’t catch person in the act

A protest through the streets of downtown Oakland, California, in support of racial justice and police reform turned violent when “agitators" among the demonstrators set fire to a courthouse, vandalized a police station and shot fireworks at officers, authorities said.
About 700 demonstrators participated in what started as a peaceful march Saturday night but then some broke from the larger group and smashed windows, spray-painted graffiti and pointed lasers at officers, the Oakland Police Department said on Twitter. Several tweets called for peace and asked organizers to “help us provide safe spaces and safe places for demonstrators.”
It’s good to see that, finally, the narrative has caught up to what I’ve been saying the last three or four years: that the Black Bloc anarchists and plain vandals are not actually party to the demonstrations and causes thereof. I came to this realization during the Freddie Gray protests in Baltimore: the standoff with police was a good distance away from where fires had been set. It wasn’t the protestors causing the property damage, it was their camp-followers. Opportunists were taking advantage in the breakdown of order and withdrawal of police presence from the rest of the city (often as unnecessary as are the excessive shows of force with which police confront civilly disobedient marchers). There may be a correlation between disturbances/disruptions and violence/looting, but they are different groups engaged in each activity. There is no justification for excusing or valorizing the latter because it is timed concurrently with legitimate protest. Not only is it a “bad look” to associate the two; they’re fundamentally different things - as BLM local leaders have tried to tell the self-aggrandizing radicals and revolutionaries since the earliest days of the George Floyd demonstrations. So here we are again. A small radical contingent decides to co-opt a protest and make the headlines about their handiwork. It’s brilliant marketing, to drive away the middle and ensure the only visible alternative to fascism is an equally extreme counterpart. It’s intentionally counterproductive, and it’s only within the past few months that left-wing mouthpieces have gotten wise to this. Short of making it clear to agitators and provocateurs that they are not welcome, media distinguishing between them and the broader social justice movement would do progress and accuracy a huge favor.

Trump Supporter Pleads Guilty to Vandalizing Own Garage With 'Biden 2020' for Profit
The man burned his own garage and several vehicles, getting $61,000 from insurance and $17,000 from GoFundMe.
By Matt Novak Today 6:00AM
A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after he set up a hoax in which he claimed people had spray-painted left-wing messages on his garage, including “Biden 2020,” an anarchy symbol, and “BLM,” and set fire to several vehicles, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice. It’s not illegal to spray-paint your own property, but the man received about $61,000 from his insurance company and $17,000 from a GoFundMe fundraiser, which is a big no-no.
It all started on September 23, 2020, when 30-year-old Denis Molla made a false report to police that his home had been vandalized. Molla told police he saw three unknown men outside his home and heard an explosion. Molla also told police he came outside to find “BLM” and other messages spray-painted on his garage door, and his camper had been set on fire, apparently because he had a Trump 2020 flag affixed to it.
The bullshit story was picked up by outlets like Fox News, where host Laura Ingraham spoke with far-right influencer Ben Shapiro about the incident.
“There’s a message being sent, Ben, by the far-left. And I think people are beginning to see that arsonist behavior, looting, even murder, none of it’s off the table,” Ingraham said in a rather hilarious escalation during the Fox News segment.

The city of Liverpool is regarded as one of the most left-wing cities within the UK. Many people in Liverpool have made it clear where they stand on certain political issues. Be that from protests…. from general elections….and most importantly the art and graffiti covering the city by their very own artists, along with many propaganda posters.
On Leece street there is typical wall covered in posters. we came across a obvious propaganda poster aimed at the beauty ideals of women with vandalized to suggest a alterative message against it. It’s clearly suggesting the ongoing argument between men and woman’s value to society based on physical appearance. Is irritating to see people have these narrow ideas about this debate.
On Leece street, a feminist poster is on the walls with many other posters. The clear intention of this poster is to spread positivity while denouncing beauty ideals. It has always personally bothered me walking past and seeing her face crossed out with the words ‘no’ above it. How can one be offended by the idea of acceptance of yourself? It seems like it reflects the insecurities of the individual. Regardless, there are many more posters made by unreal scattered across the city centre, as well as creating a zine full of the posters which you can view online. They are determined to fight the ideals of beauty standards and the damaging effect it has on women everywhere.
Adjacent to the colourful graffiti spouted around the city, small pieces of vandalism appear. Conveying individual messages that are often narrowminded and unpopular. With this piece having unclear intentions it’s up to us to define whether the piece is mocking BLM protests, or striving to speak out against the bigotry Irish citizens face when coming over the border. I personally think this might have ill intentions as many white Americans came up with the ’white lives matter’ as a counter response to the BLM protests, which came across as racist.
You might have noticed many posters around Liverpool about not carrying knives, this is because in 2018 there was an 18% increase in knife crime from the previous year. The biggest increase since 2009. This sparked the blade free project which held a competition for anti-knife carrying posters. Uncle Sam is used in the poster which calls back to USA propaganda posters of World War 2 symbolising a joining of forces for change. The actual poster takes on calmer colours which is a juxtaposition from the violent nature of the message.
This poster by the artist Meg Zany the postman, displays concepts of support within the LGBT community during the trying times of the pandemic. It also applauds individuals that oppose gender norms and uplift others within the community, suggesting a positive message of change and acceptance. Meg Zany, themselves specialises in the medium of spray paint, this ties in with the surrounding art which takes the same medium however here its displayed in a less conventional way in the form of a political poster. The text on the poster reads ‘It’s us against them’ symbolising the continuous battle the community faces against the wider population. Noticeably the striking figure on the poster is carrying a weapon and is dawned with a gas mask this continues the theme of battling against bigotry, the gas mask can also be seen to be referencing the recent pandemic and gives the piece historical context.
The Aske artists was commissioned to display a memorial of Steven hawking, relevant to the artist as sharing scientific backgrounds. Also, an appropriate choice to commemorate his life and great achievement within hawking’s field. Conjoined with the quote ‘’However difficult life may seem there is always something you can do and succeed at’. This is an inspiring quote considering the many setbacks in hawking’s life and how he still achieved things he was passionate about.
