i love fo3’s random events bc they usually serendipitously trigger in fun combinations w the surrounding area. sometimes in a wacky way (like seeing a small child running across the wastes only to realize it’s bc I’m wearing the antagonizer helmet but the kid got mauled by a rad scorpion before he could speak to me) or an interesting world building way (I’ve had the ghouls who can’t get into underworld pop up near Meresti Station— maybe they strike up an alliance with Vance and his vamps? I’ve also seen them at the RobCo factory overlooking Canterbury Commons and I like to think Uncle Roe welcomed them with all the capitalistic warmth of a potential new customer base he can muster) or the pants shitting of having a death claw event spawn near a raider hideout and watching them both team up to get your ass...

he does not keep a journal in the vault or shortly after getting out of it BUT he starts one shortly after the mess that is fo3.... mostly to keep track of quests cus he keeps travelling around with butch but he also makes note of any cool places to revisit sometime. and also stupid shit that happened

his handwriting is surprisingly neat thanks to Vault Education but his overall writing styles very generic... no fancy flowery descriptions. only writes down dates next to important things

is Jesse's habit of drinking blood just a reference to blood packs or is there like a reason behind it? bc tbh I didn't find blood packs in fo3 all that useful since they only give u 1 health.

if you get the hematophage perk from vance after settling blood ties peacefully, you get 20 health per pack! jesse asked vance how does he lives off blood bc scientific curiosity and vance taught him trade secrets

The sole high-res clothing texture mod (hate that they call Caesar’s New Regime an acceptable mod and their reason for not having Legion armor textures. CNR is hideous)

No ENB

No really even though I can run an ENB at 60 FPS, the prettiest still had super shitty post-processing AA

Which is why I hate FO4, they removed all non-post-processing AA options so its like your playing with an ENB and AA turned off all the time

Or at least why I get ill trying to play it

Honestly, while I use EssArrBee’s guide for setting up Mod Organizer, I despise most of the actual mods in the list. Project Nevada is shit with better options that don’t require you to use every single part if you want any patch to work, ELECTRO-CITY is broken and immersion-breaking with their attempts at immersion, there’s literally no reason for Willow to be on the list, AWOP is unoptimized crap, FCO is broken to all hell and I keep having to troubleshoot people’s games not loading because the installer for it installed the patch for Russell even though they didn’t choose that option, Nevada Skies is pretty but the weather itself is overkill, Sortomatic has been known to be stupid complex and not even work properly, eating people’s items, Advanced Recon is tacticool shit that doesn’t fit in the game, Vurt’s doesn’t have any LOD so you don’t see the pretty trees until you’re standing on them, Laurens Bathroom Poetry is a waste of a plugin slot no matter what, Authentic Burned Man is included in the superior to FCO mod “NVCE”, Hectrol’s ED-E texture turns the grate over the speaker into a grid of teeny tiny monitors (gotta admit I like the glow maps on that though), Dragonskin Tactical Outfit doesn’t fit in-game and it and Willow come off as though the mod author bribed him or something...

Actually I just looked, they removed Nevada Skies from the list and replaced it with RWL, but then left references to it in the guide, lol.
