Sup peeps so I saw one girl on tictok talk about ugly and beautiful vampires and that got my gears turning.
so vampires stay the age they get turned right, so what if that whent beyond age and they stayed the way they looked when turned.
So the beautiful one are the one that whent and willingly turned so there calm and willing state kept them looking good looking and beautiful.
But the ugly ones are the ones that were fighting and unwilling trying there best to not get turned so when they are turned there body is kept in that frantic ugly fighting state.
So there could be vamp culture split between the willing beutiful vamps and the unwilling ugly vamps and I can totally see a story where a human hero if fighting against vamps but finds them fighting each other, one ugly and one beautiful so they jump in and assume from first glance that the more beautiful one is more human but in fact is the opposite as there the one that willingly threw there humanity aside.
Idk rough thought but I think it's a great starting point for a story yaknow.

So I forgot I have a tumblr... Good God ANYWAY! Since I found it, and mostly purged it I’ma use it to post this here for easy access. I saw this done for Edgar Swansea but didn’t find one on Jonathan and despite all the “evil” art n fics of him, no one has made a character thing so here’s morally grey Jonathan. name: Jonathan Emmit Reid
alias(es): Depends who’s talking but, Sire/Jon/Jonny/ Maker/ Leech/ Beast, shall I go on?
gender: cis male
age: 32
date of birth: January 3, 1886
place of birth: London
hometown: London, England.
spoken languages: english, and is fluent in French.
sexual preference: bisexual
occupation: detective(depending on who you ask)surgeon, physician, researcher, scientist
APPEARANCE
eye color: Crystal Blue
hair color: Dark brown bordering on black
height: 6′3″
scars/things of note: Scar across the bridge of his nose, which you can tell has been broken, a small scar under his left eye are the most noticable but there’s various other ones daring his body from his time in war.
weight: Neither under nor over. Not too ripped either. He’s toned but that’s it
FAVOURITE
color: rich reds and warm oranges. he loves a good navy blue too.
book: too many. he will never be able to pick. this is a loaded question.
HAVE THEY
passed university: yes
had sex: yes, has a higher body count than you’d expcet a man of his standing to have
had sex in public: yes
kissed a boy: yes
been in love: before or after he became a vamprie? both? yes but he’s not a one person kind of man
stayed up for more than 24 hours: many times. some by choice some because his surival depended on it. Honestly if the sun didn’t force him to sleep he would still be staying up late.
ARE THEY
a virgin: hell no
a cuddler: yes
a kisser: yes
scared easily: no
jealous easily: yes and no. its... complicated, talk to the beast.
trustworthy: Yes to a fualt
dominant: Big yes, but... he’s not above “reciving” as long as the person is “worthy” of it.
submissive: just try topping him, i dare you
RANDOM QUESTIONS (tw for self harm/suicide mention/murder)
have they harmed themselves: Yes, first night as a vampire he shot himself in the heart. it didnt work but still
have/had a job: oh yeah. a couple. all in the medical world ofc. in the modern world as a vampire he does take a couple years off, or even a decade at times to not cause any suspicion where he goes off to france or even travels around the globe for exploration.
have any fears: being alone, losing everyone
sibling(s): when human there was mary but in undeath? uhhhh only confermed one is William Marshel there could be more.
parent(s): mum and dad are from london
pets: probably a cat but he prefers plants
Thoughs on Murder: Fine with it. Not every soul is worth saving. If the person is someone society as a whole deams worthy of death (kid touchers, unapollagic abusers, ra**ists, murders, etc)
Tagline: “I am a cival man I can be a nice man even but I am not an innocent man”

The Larten Crepsley Saga Review
Today is a special type of Review! Let me know what you think of this format! And it's doubly special, because it’s in celebration of my 100th blogpost!!
I'll be giving my thoughts on the Larten Crepsley Saga by Darren Shan as a whole. For my thoughts on each particular book, please see below:
Birth of a Killer 4.5 Ocean of Blood 4.5 Palace of the Damned 5.0 Brothers to the Death 5.0
The books I've read are written in English, and in total the series consists of 961 pages. I read them over the course of a single week... well 8 days. That means on average I read 120 pages every day.
This series follows Larten Crepsley, the future master of Darren Shan from the Cirque du Freak series. The books tell the stories of various periodes of Lartens life. From when he ran away from home and became a vampire, to the time that he was wandering the world aimlessly. All the way back until he returns to the Vampire Mountain and the clan and facing his destiny.
Total Rating
I rate this series 4.5/5 stars, because while I loved the series, there are some things I dislike about the story.
History
It all started for me when I found the Dutch translation of the first book a few years ago at a book outlet. I wan't in the mood to read it then, but I saved it and read it this year, of which a review can be found here. I next 2 book I could find in Dutch, but one was 50 euro's and other 5. It was however the last book that I was unable to find in Dutch. For me this meant it wasn't meant to be, so I sought out all of the copies in English, which I have now read and their seperate reviews can be found above. I must say that I'm happy to have gone with this series and I'm determined to track down English versions of The Saga of Darren Shan / Cirque du Freak.
Plot
To me the plot of the Saga of Larten Crepsley is really intersting. It spans from the 1800's all the way to roughly the 1970's. We go through the American Cival War, World War 1 and 2, as the major events that ground the timeline. The moments of the meeting with Wester Flack, Vancha March and Evanna are some of my personal favorite moments within the series.
One of the moments I dislike is how we never find out what happened to Mr. Chayne. I would've loved to see more of a conclusion with this character, rather than to have him vanish into obscurity. Another thing I dislike is how we never hear anything from Murlough again. Not even something mentioned by Wester himself. The last thing I disliked it how we never found out how Vur know when Traz would die their hair!! It still makes me mad to this day.
Characters
I must say that I do like all the characters, even the ones we are supposed to dislike. They are written beautifully and all with their own clear views of the world and how it's supposed to run. My personal top 5 characters;
Larten Crepsley
Arra Sails
Evanna, Lady of the Wilds
Sylva
Wester Flack
They all have their personal goals, and some go to the extreme to get to them. All have their flaws too which they see eye to eye with them and come to respect and accept.
Chapters & Parts.
At first I didn't like the fact that we did so much time skipping within the books, but now I read them all it made much sense. The Vampires live for a long time, and the events describes are the ones that shaped Larten as a Character. I liked how the parts were introduced and every book has 4-5 parts to them. With only a simple header and a one-liner relevant to the part to introduce it, it's a beautiful way to set the tone for the story to come. The chapters themselves are nice and short, around 10 pages, which I really like. The headers of the chapters are done in a beautiful typography.
Details
I love how my covers for the book match and they are stunning and while at first glance not relevant to the story, in the end they are. Even the titles are sometimes shady, but fit the books nicely in the end. In the picture below you can see the spines of my copies. They reflect Madam Octa, the spider Larten uses in his act while in Cirque du Freak in the Saga of Darren Shan. As you can see, I'm missing the last ends of the legs of Madam, for some reason or another.
This concludes the review of The Saga of Larten Crepsley. If you have any questions send me an ask here on tumblr or tweet me. If there are any books that you want to recommend, be sure to let me know!

For a while, while dealing with the cival war, Telon is kind of forced to live in Solitude. For safety reasons. That period of time is just.... so rough on Volano. Like- he has trouble socializing as is. He is a vampire and has been for as long as he can remember. Most of his life has been spent either only interacting with other vampires to just living completely alone in a dwemer ruin. To say thar his social skills are bad is huge understatement. And that's not even mentioning the fact that he is not mortal, he has powerful urges and abilities that massively separate him from everyone else. And he can't exactly go hunt whenever he wants while living there. So its all.. complicated, and he suffers a lot bc of it..
#im just rambling#me: purposely not mentioning his weird uh.. issues with food that definitely come to the surface during this time period..#volano
