Vampire!AU

Summary: Huáng Jié (黃 杰) is a human turned vampire by a Pureblood. After that incident, she is presumed dead since three days. When she wakes up, she is sucked into a new yet darker world to which she never wanted a part in.

Warnings: Blood, gore, mature content, dark subjects, if you are disturbed by such then do not read this.

I’ve tried a million times but never succeeded on any of it.

“So what? You just accept it and live this way?” Jie asks, putting her hands on her head trying to cover herself from the chilly air that is hitting her.

“As much as I understand you, yes. You have to accept it.” He answers. “I’m guessing the others already talked to you about me so, I don’t need to tell you my name and you to me.”

Jie raises her hand, gesturing to him. “Oh Sehun, right?” He nods as he gestures to her. “Huang Jie for you.” Sehun slumps back down near the dead corpse, licking his bloody to try and get the excess off. Still a bit hungry. “Lost all hope now that I told you that it’s impossible?” He asks, smirking as he did.

Jie leans her head against her hand, still the sweet smell in the air. Averting her eyes from the bloody corpse beside him, but her eyes should be evident to him. Maybe it’s changed now or it didn’t. Sehun hears her thinking as he was still cleaning off his hand.

“Sorry, there isn’t any left. Your eyes are still normal, though.” He says, snapping her out of her trance. She quickly averts her eyes to him as he said that. She shrugs slightly and stands up to her feet.

“I thought that it would’ve changed when I see blood.” She explains as she looks at the corpse again. Sehun stands up and walks away from the corpse, towards Jie. “Come on, let’s go back.” He says but Jie hesitates. Sehun notices.

“I told you-“ Jie cuts him.

“I know, but the thing is i’m just wondering what would happen if I really get out.”

Sehun gives her a disappointing look. “Didn’t he threaten you that if you tried to leave or escape, he won’t hesitate to let out the wolves?” He asks but he already knew the answer for that. “How the…fuck….Is everyone’s mind connected to each other or something?” She asks, bewildered. Everyone seems to know who said what. This also happened before but it never really crossed her mind until now.

“Hate to say it but yeah. Everyone knows what we’re thinking, who we’re thinking, everything.” Sehun begins to walk back to the pathway, gesturing her to follow him to which she just obeyed and walked with him.

After a long walk back to the house, she wanted to ask one thing to him. She didn’t need to of course, as he already read her. “Go ahead, ask.”

“Who is your maker?” She asks.

“A man named Luhan. You haven’t met him yet. He’s out. I don’t know where he is, though.”

Jie keeps on walking with him until they reached the big door. The exact same door that she ran out of. Just as Sehun reaches for the doorknob to open it, It was open instead directly by Minseok who was just about to go out.

“Oh? Sehun, you’re back. And you too as well.” He gestures to Jie. Jie feels uncomfortable in his gaze as she just looks to the ground. “Forgive me for interrupting you two, I was just about to go.” He apologizes as he opens the door to let the two people in.

“We just came back, I just fed.” Sehun says as he plumps down onto a sofa. Jie, feeling awkward already, sits down onto the sofa across him. Minseok nods. “I see. Did the wolves come out? You know how Yixing is. He really does keep his word.” He asks, concerned.

Sehun shakes his head. “No, hyung. But one managed to escape and I fed on it. I think it was going to get her but lucky, I was hungry.” He says as he leans his head back, tired and a bit sleepy. Groaning a bit.

Minseok turns to Jie. This will take time to register and try to get used of. I understand that you’re not in the best of moods right now

Minseok chuckles as he closes the door, leaving them both alone. Jie leans back to the chair, sighing as she did so. She looks up ahead above her. The ceiling was beautiful, she’ll admit. To be honest, everything is beautiful and in place inside of here.

The pristine environment. A big yet as mentioned, secretive place. She tries to take in everything. She didn’t know what to do anymore. Leaving her old life behind. Though, she’ll admit, there wasn’t really anything going in hers. All she did was just the same every day. She was okay with it. She was content with it.

Until she was stabbed and turned by Yixing. The Pureblood. And she got sucked in a world. She never knew that vampires really existed. Well, there were urban legends surrounding her ever since her childhood yet she was a bit skeptical about it. But it doesn’t mean that she never believed it.

There were mysterious cases that happened all around. Dug out graves, the bodies were missing, the corpses all had in common. Two small holes on the neck or wrist. There was even a bite mark and a ripped flesh from the body. It happened rarely though. But when it did, it was almost unknown.

She is snapped out of her daydream when Baekhyun came upfront behind her. “You came back!” He exclaims suddenly as she realizes that he was behind her. She jumps from the shock and almost falls over from the sofa.

Baekhyun smiles as he looks at her struggling to get her balance back. Sehun, however, is not enjoying the interruption. “Hyung, please go away.” He pleads as he tries to get back to sleeping again.

Baekhyun gives him a pout. “Sehun, you’re so mean. I was just expressing my happiness.” He says, still looking at Jie. Sehun groans. Feeling awkward and a bit uncomfortable in his gaze, she tries to not think about it by putting her head in her hands, clutching herself.

“Did you enjoy the wolves?” Baekhyun asks as he sits on the armrest beside her. “Wait, ah, you didn’t see them. Aww, too bad. They were tearing apart a young man who just happened to wander by here. You should’ve seen the look on his face before he was eaten by the wolves.” He expresses, while twirling a part of her hair, sensing her nervousness.

“…….i see….I hope you…umm….enjoyed….” she mumbles as she tries to get him to stop, letting him sense her uncomfort. Baekhyun chuckles. “Ahh, i do apologize for my strange behaviour. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been turned or felt human, so I’m sorry for that.” He says as he notices her lifting her head up to look at him. A genuine look on his face.

“I’m also sorry for scaring you earlier.” He adds in, giving her a soft smile. Letting a part of her hair of which he was twirling with. Jie mirrors his smile. “Nah, it’s fine. I’m sorry for being a bit bratty, i guess you could say.” She says.

As Minseok walks back to the house, he sees Yixing sitting by the stairs. He could see the look on his face. He was conflicted. Regret filling him for what he had caused. “Yixing? Are you okay?” He asks as he takes the empty spot beside him. He didn’t need to ask as the look on his face was already evident enough. He already knew the answer he was going to get.

“No…i just…..” Yixing begins but something was cutting him off. “Is this about the girl?” Minseok cuts in, Yixing turns himself slightly to face the Pureblood.

“I didn’t….mean to turn her…..into this…it was only…”

“She was only meant to be a food source for you. But she came back turned.” Minseok finishes as he knew what he was regretting about.

Minseok sighs, giving him a small pat on the shoulder. “I apologize, i won’t be that much of help but when Luhan gets back, you could talk to him about it. He has done the same thing with Sehun.” He expresses as he looks up to the Red Moon above.
