-There is usually only two things on Revenant’s mind: murder and revenge.

-He only thinks, craves, and fights for blood.

-He is out for Hammond Robotics; it is his mission to corrupt their whole system and seek the revenge he rightfully deserves.

-But lately, other things have been distracting him from his plans.

-And by ‘other things’, he means you.

-Ever since you joined the games, there had been something about you that had caught his eye.

-Whether it was your small, defenseless form or the way you pridefully carried yourself, having all the confidence in the world despite your size, there was something that drew him to you.

-Of course, at first he had kept to himself, and you hadn’t approached him in any way, instead sticking to that birdie Valkyrie.

-But you had caught him staring once or twice, to which he responded by clearing his throat or casually looking the other way to not draw suspicion. 

-As the time went on, you had ended up on his team multiple times, to which he would treat you outwardly about the same as he would anyone else.

-But you did notice over time how he tended to drop good loot and ammo that you needed in your path.

-This was, of course, intentional, but you didn’t know that.

-It confused you that the murder bot himself was being nice to you in his own way, but you truly didn’t think much of it.

-Well, not until the one night at the bar that changed everything.

-It had been any regular Friday, you chilling at the bar after a game, grabbing a drink with your fellow Legends. 

-The group started slow, but after a few rounds had been passed around, people began to disperse.

-Fuse and Bloodhound were the first to sneak off somewhere, and then Mirage disappeared after the clones that he had set to attend the bar began to act up.

-Octane had ran off to a bathroom to hurl up his 17 shots, leaving you and the couple making out beside you, consisting of Loba and Valkyrie.

-You rolled your eyes at this, walking over to the bar and taking a seat on a barstool.

-Your vision was wobbly and your senses were all mixed up, so you hadn’t realized that you had sat next to someone.

-Revenant watched as you plopped down, tipsy and obviously slightly out of it.

-He had watched you get drunk; in fact, he had watched your group tucked into the corner of the bar all night getting drunk.

-As much as he ached to get closer to you, to at least try to get to know more about you, there was absolutely no way he was going to even go as far as to approach the other Legends.

-It was just in his stubborn nature.

-Looking down at you, he finished off his beer before slamming the glass down onto the counter.

-You looked up, jostled by the loud noise, and towering over you was none other than Revenant himself.

-At first, his eyes scared you; the two beady yellow LEDs burned into you.

-But after a moment, you felt yourself warm to them.

-Your intoxicated brain knew you were at least in his favor, as he dropped little hints sometimes within the games to lead to such a conclusion.

-Without thinking, you leaned into him, wrapping his torso in a bear hug.

-Revenant’s eyes widened in shock, what were you doing?

-He knew you were drunk, but drunk enough to hug a blood-thirsty assassin robot?

-Despite his mechanics speeding up at the sudden arousal within him, he didn’t dare move, too afraid of injuring your fragile form.

-You mumbled incomprehensive words into his middle-section before reaching up and groping for his large claw.

-Upon finding it, you tugged at it until he let you take it and place it on your back.

-You then did the same with the other, making him hug you back.

-He still didn’t move, slightly awed by how cute you were being, whether you realized it or not.

-He did look around, however, and after realizing the bar was pretty much empty, he let himself relax a little into your touch.

-The two of you sat there for what seemed like hours, your thoughts blank, his running faster than Octane on stim could accomplish.

-This was soft for him, but he also secretly liked the attention.

-And it wasn’t the same attention he got when he was killeader in the games or won as the Champion squad.

-This attention was a loving one, one that he hadn’t experienced in centuries.

-You had always seemed to catch his attention, so he wanted this...right?

-Yes, he did.

-Coming to his decision, he quickly withdrew himself from you, careful not to nick you with any part of his arms or hands.

-You let out a whine, obviously upset by this, but squeaked as he picked you up bridal style.

-You would be coming home with him, but not for sex or anything of that sort, just to cuddle and be with him.

-You had tempted him, and he had taken the bait.

-You grasped around his neck, clinging to him for dear life as he turned and began walking towards the exit of the bar.

-You looked into his face, confused and tired from your drunken state.

-He looked back down at you, reading your overall puzzled expression.

-Although he couldn’t reach up to comfort you, he stretched his head down to nuzzle you in the side of the neck.

-Heat rose into your cheek as he did this, and you returned it by smooshing your face into his; it wasn’t the same, but he appreciated the effort you put to replicate comfort for him.

-He pushed out the swinging doors of the bar, taking in your scent, comforting you, and feeling like the luckiest simulacrum alive.

She picked it out for you, definitely. It's a little detailed, lacey thigh highs that make you look extra sexy, and she loves it.

"Just like I thought, you look perfect beautiful."

Loba would definitely plan out a day in them. Like she gives it to you as a gift, insists you show it off at the mall, and the whole time be giving you little flirtatious touches.

She teases you sm, saying things like "You'll break someone's heart when they see you in these and find out you're already taken."

If anyone does try to hit on you, you get to witness how she is in the ring: intimidating and dangerous. She'll look at them like they're an insect, easily proclaim you're already hers with her hands on your waist.

She's definitely helping you out of them when you get home...well, ripping you out of them at least.

Valkyrie

She...I think....would be crashing and burning.

Def like, comical trip, and just a big grin like, "Damn babe you look amazing in those!"

༻ I see her love language also being words of affirmation! Giving as well as receiving. In a group, she’s the one who builds up the rest of the team’s esteem with encouraging words and the prowess of her own spirit alone.

༻ Though it’s not always easy keep up, even for someone as bright and uplifting as her. She’s a pillar for most, but still has her own burdens and moments of self-doubt. It would be good to have someone who could comfort her when she’s feeling down. And not just physically, but emotionally, with empathy and understanding.

༻ As much as she loves Octane, he absolutely does not have the interpersonal skills for things like that. So it’s a very good thing she has an s/o who does.

༻ Your words are needed when conflicts with her parents weigh on her most. Times where her self image and individuality feel overpowered by her family name and reputation. She worries if no matter what she does, people will never see her for who she is, or fully trust her to be the golden-hearted provider she is.

༻ For her, I see words of affirmation usually coming in the form of compliments. They make her blush like crazy but she’ll always excitedly return your kind words. Loves to add a big hug with that, and or a cute pun.

༻ “Thank you, my sweetheart. You have a way of… amping my heart, you know? I’m always… ec-static to be around you.”

༻ It’s rare for her to be feeling super down. She already has a huge support system with the other legends, so it’s been a while since she last felt as though any heavy burden was really weighing on her shoulders. But when she does feel that way every once in a while, and the legends can’t help because of how bad she feels, it’s typically when she’s reminiscing on the loss of her father.

༻ She will always miss him more than anything, and wonders if he would’ve been proud of her and her accomplishments. She’s accomplished amazing things, anyone would agree, but it’s hard for her to take it in. Especially because her biggest supporter and inspiration is not physically there to congratulate her.

༻ “Of course he’s proud of you, Nat. Very proud of you, wherever he is. You have such an amazing, innovative mind. How could he not be? He may not be here, but he will always be a part of you.”

Vantage

༻ Dear is still learning more social skills by the day. So words of affirmation are especially great at letting her know she’s doing well adjusting to being around other people. While she isn’t adamant on “fitting in” in any particular way, she does want to be able to socialize and learn about other people.

༻ “Thank you… dear!” She also occasionally tries her shot at pet names.

༻ Blushes and struggles to hold back a smile when you encourage her along with a kiss on the cheek. She found her body’s natural reaction weird at first (“What did you do to me? My face is burning—”), but has gotten more used to it.

༻ Words of affirmation also help when she’s stressed about her mother’s framing. She’s always worried that she’s not doing enough, or that she might not ever be able to free her mom.

༻ “You’re doing everything you can, Mara. The fight hasn’t ended yet. Your mom ismstrong, you’re strong, and I know you—we— can figure this out.”

༻ Likes to try and give you words of affirmation as well. “Don’t worry about it—” she pauses to think of a pet name, “Honey. You’re awesome! Anyone who says otherwise is probably weak and very easy to kill. Their words are their only defense. All bark and no bite— I think the saying goes.”

Valkyrie x Loba Shortfic

Valkyrie propped her feet up on the coffee table in her apartments living room, leaning back and sighing. For someone who was always 'go go go,' she still enjoyed the quiet moments alone in her apartment, just listening to the bustling city outside her windows. She heard the familiar sound of a key turning in the door's lock and smiled, knowing that Loba would walk through that door and come sit with her. Life was nice.

Except Loba didn't come sit with her.

She walked straight past the couch where Valkyrie was sitting and into the kitchen. Valkyrie heard her pour herself a very generous glass of wine before coming to sit down a few feet away from her on the couch. Loba brought her knees up to her chest and took a sip of her wine, her bros furrowed in thought and her fingers restlessly tracing patterns on her knee. Her braids were messy and her makeup was smudged, making her look disheveled.

Having been dating Loba for a while, Valkyrie knew the signs that she was frustrated and upset. Valkyrie turned the TV onto some reality show, knowing that it was the type of thing she would like.

"Do you need space, a distraction, or comfort, Lo?" Valkyrie kept her voice soft and loving. She knew how Loba's brain worked and didn't want to frustrate her even further.

"Distraction first, and then comfort, I think." Loba muttered, her voice tense and strained. Valkyrie nodded, thinking for a second before she spoke.

"I was scrolling on my phone earlier and saw someone assigned all of us legends our own animals. They gave you a wolf, of course, but they gave me a barn owl. Can you believe it? How am I a barn owl?" Valkyrie waved her arms in disbelief, pouting.

Loba giggled a bit at Valkyrie's antics. It was quiet, but still Valkyrie smiled knowing she was making her girlfriend feel even a tiny bit better.

"Personally, I think I should be something cool like a tiger or a venemous snake." Valkyrie gave herself fangs with her fingers, baring her teeth. Loba tipped her head back and laughed, and the sight made Valkyrie relax into the couch.

"I can see you being a barn owl. You've got the same face and eye shape. Plus, the whole 'striking from above' thing." Loba set her wine glass down, shuffling closer to Valkyrie and leaning into her.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, laughing quietly at whatever stupid things the people in the show were doing. Valkyrie fidgeted with her sleeves anxiously, trying to figure out what to say next.

"Do you wanna talk about your day? If not that's fine I just want you to feel nice yknow." Valkyrie stuttered through her words quickly, looking anywhere other Loba's face. The silence that followed made her palms sweat and she was about to start apologizing before Loba spoke.

"I just... I thought I found a lead, but it was just some stupid man trying to get me in his bed. He told me he had information in his apartment. I was a fool to believe him."

Valkyrie hesitated before answering, wrapping an arm around Loba's shoulders and tracing shapes into her upper arm with her finger tips.

"Did he... you know..." She couldn't get the words out, hating even the thought that something like that could happen to her girlfriend.

"He tried, but he was dumb to think he could control me. I may have left him with fewer fingers than before my visit." Loba smiled, laying her head on Valkyrie's shoulder.

"That's my girl." She squeezed Loba against her body before letting go and standing up. "C'mon, let me run you a bath. I can pour you more wine, light some candles, give you a massage, anything you'd like." She reached a hand out towards Loba, who was still curled up on the couch.

Loba hesitated, not out of fear or reservation, but because as she looked into Valkyrie's eyes that were full of adoration, she realized just how much her girlfriend loved her. She took her hand, letting Valkyrie pull her up and lead her towards the bathroom.

"Okay, sit down there." Valkyrie pointed at the edge of her somewhat large bathtub, focused on lighting a couple floral scented candles and setting them on a safe shelf nearby. She then turned on the bath and held her hand under the tap, making sure the water was a good temperature.

By the time the tub was full enough, Valkyrie had gotten her girlfriend another glass of wine and they were both fully undressed. Valkyrie got into the water first, sitting down and leaning back. Loba sat down in front of her, keeping her knees to her chest and holding her glass securely in one hand.

"Would you like me to wash your hair?" Valkyrie asked, pulling the elastics out of Lobas hair so she could gently unravel her braids. Valkyrie stopped playing with her hair when Loba didn't respond. "Lo? You alright?"

"...Why do you go out of your way to do all of this for me?" Loba muttered quietly, setting her glass down on the edge of the tub and curling impossibly further into herself. "I treat you like shit and toss you aside in order to achieve my own goals, but still you sit here and love me as if I'm the most perfect girl you've ever met. It's not fair to you."

Valkyrie took a second to think, grabbing a plastic cup from the table beside the tub to scoop water and pour it over Loba's shoulders. The warmth helped Loba relax.

"I do it because I love you. And yeah it hurts a bit, okay a lot, when you treat me that way, but I deal with it because I know that the only reason you act that way is because you don't feel like you deserve to be loved."

Loba didn't speak, she just dragged her fingers through the water. So Valkyrie continued.

"I just want you to feel like you can trust me. I'm not going to let you self-sabotage because you don't think you're good enough." Valkyrie started to pour the water over Loba's hair, wetting it while she spoke. "You deserve to be happy and loved, just like everybody else."

They sat in silence for a bit as Valkyrie lathered shampoo into Loba's hair. She made sure to pay extra attention right at the roots, and Loba leaned her head back into the feeling.

"...I love you, Kairi."

"I love you too. I'll never stop loving you, Loba."
