This came out really soft and I'm so glad that you gave me one of my favorite ships to write about. <3

16. Laughing while kissing + Wolffe/Plo

Wolffe reared his head back with a small grimace, his nose all scrunched up.

The clicks that were Plo's way of expressing amusement echoed within the mask as the Kel Dor straightened himself. "Are you alright, my Wolffe?" Plo asked, amused.

"Not my brightest moment," he admitted ruefully, reaching up to rub the slightly smarting nose.

What had meant to be a nice Kelbade kiss had ended up with Wolffe smacking his nose right in front of Plo's anti-ox mask because, in his eagerness, Wolffe hadn't waited for Plo to bow down enough.

"If I'm lucky it will not scar," Wolffe added with a wry grin, enjoying how Plo click-laughed more.

"Should I kiss it better then?" the Jedi suggested, bringing his hand to gently cup the back of Wolffe's head. One of his claws started to scratch the short hair, making Wolffe shiver a little.

"Is that some kind of Force healing treatment?" Wolffe asked, teasing.

Plo nodded with as much gravitas as a Jedi Master of his caliber could (Wolffe had to bite his lip as another tremble ran down his spine, leaving a tingling trace behind as it went). "One of the most powerful ones, actually," he replied, mock-serious. "It never fails, according to the younglings."

"Then who am I to disagree with them?" Wolffe mused and let Plo tilt his head back slightly.

"A wise decision, Commander. Now, hold still," Plo told and carefully pressed the cool metal of his mask against Wolffe's nose. "Mwah."

"Did you just - ? Oh Force, you absolutely did!" Wolffe exclaimed, amazed and absolutely delighted. He couldn't help but start cackling at the bizarreness of having Plo Koon, a kriffing Jedi High Councilor to make an actual kissy noise.

"It is a very important part of the treatment, my Wolffe," Plo explained, once never once letting go of the mask of aloof seriousness most natborns associated with the Jedi. "If you don't believe me, I can take you to the creche so that you can ask the younglings."

It only made Wolffe laugh more and he had to grab the front of Plo's robes just to stay up, shoulders shaking visibly. He vaguely heard Plo join him in on the laughter, so pleased with his silly joke.

The best thing was that Plo had been right.

Wolffe's nose didn't hurt anymore.

Lots of people--so many people!--have tagged me in various writing memes and the like and I have been feeling guilty about not replying or playing along so. Here are the first and last lines I just wrote as part of one of my Codywan First Kiss Bingo entries.

First line: "Really, Cody. I knew you'd be upset, but it never occurred to me that you of all people would be angry about a classified mission."

Last line: Now he'd like to knock perfect teeth out of that lovely mouth and watch them bounce across the floor of his quarters.

Don't ask me how I am going to convince Cody to kiss him...I have no earthly idea at the moment.

This one is gonna be a Hunter/Wrecker fic (totally underrated pair!):

It all started with a handful of credits.

It is very appropriately titled “Something beautiful”, because our favourite giant totally deserves it ❤️

And one more WIP begins just like this 😆:

Echo stumbled upon those two idiots just outside the cockpit. It looked like Hunter was trying to climb Crosshair like a tree, and Crosshair supported him enthusiastically. Like a very hungry carnivorous tree.

Your sentence for the 1+5 fic thing:

The thing before him was nothing like he'd seen ever before but at the same time it felt so familiar that seeing it made his chest hurt.

Amir put on his glasses, inching cautiously closer to the twisted mass of flesh half hidden under a blanket where the night before his best friend Arri had been laying.

Arri had been on military leave, so they had met up, virtually popped each other's pixellated heads at the arcade, had pizza together and a sleepover at Amir's place like when they were teenagers.

Carefully, Amir closed his fingers around the edge of the blanket, almost backing away when mass of flesh stirred and groaned in seeming agony, inhuman gurgling sounds eminating from the chest region.

His nerves steeled and Amir ripped the blanket away in one swift move, exposing the full mass of contorted flesh, skin replaced by what looked like keratin and chitin and bones fully visible, joints bent in a way no human could ever manage and yet among all the grotesque flesh there was half of Arri's face warped almost beyond recognition.

And then the horrifying creature lunged at him.

My Heart's Red Muscle - (E, for one smut scene) I think this is probably my best fic, and also one of the longest. Cyborg!Waxer has no memories of his life before he came online. Paired with ARF trooper Boil, who doesn't seem to know what to do with him, Waxer has no idea how to fit in among clones when he's so very different. As he makes connections with those around him, he and Boil try to figure out who he might have been—and more importantly, who he is now.

Kinktober 2022 - (E, obviously) Set in the giant Open Skies AU. Where's that Trojan Horse smut post... Yeah so the fic is basically this for Waxer/Boil 😂

We Could Breathe Underwater - (T) What if shiny Waxer and Boil were both a bit Force-sensitive, and—oopsie, created a Force bond?

Interference - (T) Set in the RCAU/Open Skies AU, but it can be read as a standalone. It follows some OCs and canon characters as they figure out what Krell is up to on Umbara. The problem is that Torrent Company and Waxer's platoon are already on a collision course...

Fading Light and Cooling Space - (T, but heed the tags on this one) After Boil suffers through the horrifying events on Umbara, something nudges him to steal a strange necklace from Krell's body that teleports him to an even stranger place (and time?).

The last two fics are a bit older, so I'm sure they have a lot of room for technical improvement, but I still like them overall.

The very literal last line I wrote is:

“I knew you’d like that,” she smiles, turning to Wooley with an impossibly quick and conspiratorial wink. “Now. For you, Spike, I’m thinking something woodsy with a hint of spice.”

And it is from chapter 5 of my Waxer*Boil Month Server Writing Workshop exercises. The prompt was "soapy hands".
