I’m so interested in what the dynamic would be!! We obviously have the ‘cute’ relationship with Solangelo, and valdengelo is characterised as quite angsty. So mixing them would be an interesting dynamic. How would will act with Leo in a relationship? I bet they would be such a sunshine duo- Leo would work on machines for the infirmary, and he would blab about all of his mechanical things while Will did basic infirmary duty. Nico and Leo would be pulling Will out of the infirmary- telling him to stop and rest. Leo and Will would make Nico promise to stop overusing his powers. Will and Nico would make Leo promise to stop working on his machines and sleep.

Mixing the two dynamics, the angsty and the sunshine, is so odd not just because thoes dynamics normally oppose eachother in some way, but because they are so different but both involve one common person. Nico.

Nico who will practically just try and match the energy given- with will he’ll indulge in a cutesy relationship, having some true feelings and emotions which he (although begrudgingly) will try and express and just let happen.

And when put with someone who will be a bit more depressing, it becomes somewhat of a competition- although obviously they don’t say that and it’s never in a hurtful way.

So in Valdsolangelo is Leo and Nico both bouncing off of Will? I think so at least.

Anyway- that’s my little ramble on my fave little characters.

Hey, if you were ever curious on pet names the ot3 uses for each other:

Will: Oookay he's like, Texas sweetheart right? So he uses honey, sweets, darlin' (he emphasizes the drawl with this one because he's just Like That). But! You know something? He knows basic Spanish. So he'll use mi amor or, if he's really feeling it, mi vida. He doesn't ever use them in public though.

With Nico, we've seen Sunshine, and I stand firm in the idea that The Dark Lord is said with fondness. Nico gets to hear mi amor at night. He gets darlin' a lot. And he'll use Neeks.

For Leo, Will uses sweets, honey, and darlin all sprinkled in. Leo loves hearing mi vida, because the phrase just makes him feel safe. Will calls Leo a space heater affectionately because Leo's just, warm all the time. And finally, Will calls him firecracker because Leo's got a lot of energy and firecrackers remind Will of happy summer evenings.

Leo: He's the kind of lover that will make anything a pet name. He'll always say 'I love you' as well. And he never got out of tapping it so when he's holding one of his boyfriend's hands, he'll tap it on their fingers.

For Will, amongst the random pet names, he'll use mi cariño, love, sunbeam and magic hands (but only if they're alone or with just Nico). Sometimes mi sol is tossed around, but only if Will's had a particularly rough day.

For Nico, he'll say mi amado, jokingly he'll say rey de los muertos. (Nico may not speak Spanish, but due to Latin roots, some words sound similar enough that Nico can figure it out.) Leo's adopted Will's sunshine name and as always, Leo will call Nico by Neeks around camp.

Nico: He's not super verbal with his affection, and if he is, it's usually by way of a fond insult. (See significant annoyance for Will.) But he does have his moments.

For Leo, he uses patatino (usually when he's in a teasing mood), tesoro, babe/baby comes out when he's Tired™ and just wants cuddles. He'll use bolide a lot throughout the day. (Nico's never told him what it means and Leo's too busy to properly ask most of the time.)

For Will, Nico will use tesoro, caro, il mio sole, and again, he'll use baby with light pouty eyes for naptime cuddles because he's a brat and can get away with it. He'll call Will sunshine all the time too.

HERE'S YOUR REMINDER THAT WILL IS HALF A FOOT TALLER THAN BOTH OF HIS BOYFRIENDS AND WILL TEASE THEM ABOUT IT.

but its okay because Nico and Leo will definitely team up and get him back. they always do.

As stated, the drabble about the cat,,500 words give or take,,,about catching attacks early and coping.

Warning Systems

Nico has sought out warmth since he was 13, after long nights running around that damned labyrinth with only his aviator jacket. If he was honest with himself (which wasn't always but he's getting better okay? Lay off), he would admit that being space heaters was one of his many attractions to his boyfriends.

Although, for all the effort he puts into making sure his boyfriends are always available for cuddles, some days he genuinely can't stay around for long. Something about being wrapped up between them makes his skin crawl and he can't figure it out for his life. What made things worse was that he didn't know what kind of day it would be until it started.

For example, five minutes ago, Nico was completely content to lay on his side, his back against Will's chest as Leo snored softly facing them. Will had been stroking Nico's hair and Nico was almost asleep for the most part. It was peaceful and safe.

Then it was like a switch flipped and suddenly Will's petting felt like claws and bugs were crawling on his scalp. Everything just began to feel too warm and Nico was trying to keep his breathing steady.

"Hey, you okay?" Will's hand stilled halfway through Nico's hair and Nico twitched, trying to curl in on himself. He registered something small jumping onto his bunk and focused on his breathing. He heard light clacking of bones tapping each other and something pushed Will's hand out of Nico's hair.

"No more petting. Okay. Do you need to get up?" Will asked, already shifting to give Nico an exit. Leo sniffed and sat up.

"Sunshine?" Leo's voice was rough with sleep and usually Nico adored it but presently it grated on his frayed nerves. Still trying to curl into himself, Nico scooted to the side of his bunk and slid down to the cool, rock floor. Nico, with his shoulders near his ears now, splayed his hands out on the rock and pressed, allowing the jolt of cold to shock his system. It stayed quiet as Nico breathed and focused on the sensation. Four taps sounded almost simultaneous as the little skeleton cat jumped off the bed. It stepped over Nico's leg and stood directly in front of him. Nico opened his eyes and the cat's skull head-butted his stomach.

"Thanks, Graham." Nico brought a hand and ran a finger down the cat's spine, over the bumpy vertebrae. The cat's image shifted showing an orange and brown patched calico. The cat laid down where it was.

"He makes a good early warning system." Leo had sprawled across the bed on his stomach so his face was next to Nico's head.

"He's right. Graham picks up on your attacks faster than we can. He's a good little kitty." Will's arm came into Nico's field of view and ran a hand over Graham's fur.

"Take your time, mi amado," Leo yawned, "I'm not going anywhere."

"Makes two of us," Will stifled his own yawn and continued to let his fingers play in the cat's newly formed fur.

Not for the first time, Nico silently thanked whatever deities that were listening for his cat and his boyfriends. He felt the cool rock under him, Leo's soft breathing moving the hair by his ear, and Will's arm barely grazing his shoulder as he pet the purring cat and felt content once more.

"Jason wished he could put a bell around Nico di Angelo's neck to remind him the guy was there."

Okay, but 1) adorable and 2) Will *and* Leo have joked about it before. Nico just grumbled to himself while his boyfriends teased him about being so quiet and blending in.

Eventually, Nico allowed himself a smile but shut Leo down when he offered to make one just for Nico. Very unique, nobody could recreate it.

"C'mon, it'll be great!"

"No. I'm not wearing a bell, bolide. Forget it."
