"Seawater's great for exfoliating but overexposure dries out hair and skin." They mused over the random information jumbling its way through their brain. "Banana, eaten or applied, should help soften your hair up - applied should be mixed with honey, eggs and/or avocado into a paste." Vala gave them a wry smile. "I don't think we have either eggs nor honey, though, unless one of us turns out to be an amateur apiculturist."
"Tell me about it my hair has been suffering." she complained. They didn't exactly consider themselves vain but they did take care of their hair, so feeling it get drier and harder to brush had a twofold effect: it was not how she liked it to look, but more importantly it was a huge sensory trigger for them. They gave an apologetic smile, "Thanks." they nodded.

"I've seen banana trees and I'm pretty sure there's avocados somewhere - despite that we're stuck, its a decent place to be stuck," Vala considered, an amused smile playing at their lips, "plenty of plants. Even if you can't find those, bananas on their own should do the trick; just don't wash it out with saltwater." They added, continuing their random search of the room.
"I've been meaning to mention it to the rest of the group but we should probably desalinate a load of seawater in bulk. I doubt it survived but the plane's water tanker would be damn useful." They murmured, picking up an empty, unlabelled box. Real useful(!)
"I think that's my issue yeah" they admitted, "It's like when you have really bad split ends but it's all the way down my hair." she complained. Back home she cared for her hair in a very specific way, it was part of her routine and it being interrupted had caused them distress. Though she hadn't wanted to say as much given how trivial it sounded without the explanation. "Eggs and honey would be super nice right now but yeah, we'd need someone who knows how to care for the bees and... I mean maybe there are chickens somewhere, but I haven't seen them." they admitted.
