…You’d like it here, I think. I found a place in rural Galar- it’s this world’s equivalent to England as far as I can tell. It’s a lovely little home. Just enough room for me and my two Pokémon.

I don’t- do you know what a pokemon is? I mean obviously you could Know, but I don’t know if you do but um. I have Lighthouse, she’s an Umbreon. Sort of just- a strange fox dog? And then I have Cinders the Arcanine. They’re both lovely, and they help keep me company when it gets.. lonely.

…and my worst fear about TMAGP has been confirmed! Ah well, can’t say I’m surprised, hopefully the rest of the series is still good despite ruining the ending of TMA.

Not a huge fan of the "the web has been manipulating Jon with this whole grand plan in mind since he was a kid" thing. Honestly it just doesn't feel like the web's style? As Anabelle says, people forget how flexible webs are, and I always envision the web as, yes, manipulating people, but also doing a lot of assessing circumstances and people's personalities, knowing how that person will behave in [x] circumstance, and putting the right person in the right context. I simply don't think the web could have known Jon was the right person for the role of archivist + ending the world until much later. He's pretty much always been the right person to be an eye avatar, but a lot of what makes him the right person to be manipulated into getting all those marks is his specific reactions to the trauma of Mister Spider. And I honestly don't feel like he'd be even on the radar of the web's larger plans until several years after Mr Spider, once it was clear how he had reacted.

I know part of the horror is his entire life leading to this, and that is horrifying, but I feel like it's sort of undercut by it being harder to believe than the web starting to manipulate him later. And like. The way Jonah chose Jon showcases Jonah's intelligence and strategy and I think the web chosing Jon a bit later showcases its intelligence as well.

So... i just finished season 2 of tma, and i decided to continue the tradition of making a list of things i've figured out/ i suspect (here's the one i made after finishing season 1). Except this time i'm only putting the stuff i'm not sure about, because i know too much by now and just listing facts would be less fun.

So Leitner said Gertrude had 3 assistants. I think 2 of them were Michael and Gerry? Wait, does that make sense? Leitner said they all died and he also knew the Distortion's current name is Michael... idk.

In any case, both Michael and Gerry went through some horrible shit. I wonder if Gertrude "sacrificed" them both like Leitner did with his assistants...

Gerry seems to be dead. But i've also heard someone say that he... turned into a book?? Wtf? I think he also had a brain tumor or something like that, but i'm not sure if that killed him. I wonder if it had anything to do with Michael becoming the Distortion...

I'm pretty sure the first episode of season 3 is where we get the story of Jon's childhood trauma related to spiders. I'm not ready.

I think Melanie and someone else accidentally start a cult?? Whatever that means?

There are multiple ships where i don't know if they're canon or just fanon/ a fandom inside joke. Are Elias and Peter Lukas really divorced multiple times?? Is Doorkeay canon in any way? (I really hope it is, i already ship them although them interacting hasn't even been mentioned in canon so far)

I heard there will be a cat :D

On the subject of animals, there will also be something about cows? (I assume it's one of those precious happy moments that turn sad in retrospect, maybe cows are also mentioned when the world is ending)

Oh, what a sweet and lovely image of Martin having a collection of tape recorders in his office that he treasures and gives nice little pats when he walks past them.

Even after he knows that they're not good for him, or at the very least, operating on an agenda that's vaguely Bad For Everything, he can't help but find them charming anyways. They're so neat! And besides, it's not their fault that some evil entity decided to use them to capture fear and bottle it up as a little menacing snack, now is it? The tapes just like the rest of the them: caught up in something much bigger than any one person, and just a smidge too big to really be comprehensible.

Idk. I could cite my sources (parts of s4, or ep 170, for instance: ooh boy!), but really, it all boils down to Martin being sympathetic towards the recorders and yes, perhaps a little vindictive towards people he doesn't like. That's what makes him fun! And now I'm just picturing him siccing tape recorders on people. I don't think "bite that person" is very far from "obliterate that man I'm jealous of" :)

Not that I really think this particular tape recorder is working for Martin K. Blackwood within TMP canon: simply something I might absorb into my TMA headcannons... I certainly will be folding it up and filing it into "For Future Consideration," wherein I will hopefully be able to emerge with a clear, solid concept I can run wild with.

…Honestly, yes. A startling amount of them are aware of what I did, what I still do. Because yes, I do still need to feed and I have yet to find some sort of ethical solution (there isn’t one)

The closest I’ve managed, is taking statements from people who are fully aware of the risks and consequences.

It’s… also worth noting that I’ve gotten a handle on the nightmares. I’m not entirely sure what changed, but the Eye hasn’t bothered me since… I left Hisui I believe. Do with that what you will.

I… honestly don’t understand why everyone around me is alright with what I am- who I am. Some part of me is still half-expecting them to change their minds. And yet, at this point it seems… rather unlikely. There’s little about me my closest friends don’t know.

…I suppose all that’s left is the Panopticon.
