I spent some time working in Peru and when I was there I took on the challenge of hiking Manchu Picchu Mountain, which overlooks the famous ruins of Manchu Picchu. It was a much harder climb than I had imagined, made worse by my short legs and the giant stone steps that lead the way in scorching heat. When I looked down at the views below from such a height many of the vistas felt like I was in a hazy dream world. The colourful tropical plants along the way really kept me going when I wanted to give up and turn back and I believe my memory of their colours have influenced this piece. When I finally made it back down the mountain (spurred on by Jeff Buckley and Neil Young in my ears) after many hours to look around the ruins, two llamas greeted me and have made themselves present in the left hand corner of the painting. Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of traveling to St.Albans in the UK to sign my new limited edition and artist proof prints that have been published by @vachebleuegalleries 12 of my paintings have been turned into prints in this release and 3 of them are from my collection inspired by "The Fairy Stories Of Oscar Wilde". Vache Bleue Galleries have done an incredible job with creating these beautiful quality prints, they couldn't have been colour matched any closer to the original. They are large and luscious so will be a statement piece in any room and are printed on beautiful paper which I will admit I was petrified of making a mistake on! Last Monday the 11th myself and my lovely assistant @siobhanhartonstudio took off on our adventure to @start.art.global in the @saatchi_gallery London. Not knowing what to expect we hoped for the best and my main intention was to return home last night with no paintings. Well I'm happy to say that dream came through not through immediate sales but by being asked to join @vachebleuegalleries who will now represent my work in the UK. They currently have a gallery in St.Albans and are opening their second gallery soon in Watford. I'm delighted that I will soon have my work hanging alongside fantastic artists such as @urbanartist.dk and @pureevilgallery and @tommyfiendish 🎨 Vache Bleue Galleries have already shown me great kindness and have exciting plans for my work for the future so watch this space! 😊 Finally I have to say one of the best part of being at StART was all the amazing artist and gallerists from all around the world that surrounded us, they really made an exhausting week pass quicker and with lots of laughs.
