“Are you sure you don’t want to join me in Milan?” It’s a question, but from Kang Aeri, it sounds more like a demand. An appeal if one were to put this interaction into legal terms.  “You wouldn’t have to worry about the cost or the language; I’m learning Italian right now and I’m very good. If you’re that worried about mooching off of me, I have something you could do for me in return.”

Casually, she links arms with them, her best friend and her favorite model. “C’mon Hyun-ah, think about it– no dispatch, no social obligations, no rules. We can even bring our partners along if they’re not too busy with their paperwork.”

( AND NOW I AM HERE!!! with the fashion bffs bc hyun needs a vacay and aeri is HAPPY to provide 🤩🤩🤩 especially if it means she gets to dress her bff however she wants :D )

Occasionally, Hyun will pretend. Or, well, to be quite frank, she does a lot more pretending than she does genuine emoting, which often leads to particularly interesting memories for the people around her.

She's mostly known for the stern demeanor, the coldness she emanates, look into her eyes when she's working and walk away knowing you've met something more powerful than you, at least because the will in her gaze would insinuate her to be so.

But with Aeri?

Well...

Every rule has its exceptions.

When Aeri links their arms together, Hyun lets her drag her in with the feigned eye-roll of someone who'd started considering relenting about ten minutes prior to the conversation even starting.

It'd be more sensible to remain in South Korea, hell, to remain in Seoul. She isn't the most savvy at her own public relation work - exhibit A the reason she supposedly needs a vacation - but even she would wonder, would going on a trip to Milan with a powerful, well-regarded fashion designer everyone knows her to be close to not just make her look...

Disinterest?

Arrogant?

She's in deep legal shit, after all, defamation lawsuits she's trying to start and others she's trying to battle, flounting money that isn't hers via a connection that is hers...

Wouldn't it be perfectly on brand?

Hyun turns to look at Aeri. The look in her eyes seems to insinuate Aeri is being both terribly tempting and awfully inconsiderate for attempting temptation in the first place. But isn't that what she likes so about Kang Aeri?

It's easy to forget how powerful Aeri's family is when in her presence solely because of how much more raw power she exudes. Wealth and status colour the air differently depending on if its new or old money. Sure, not even Hyun can say Aeri came from a poor background and worked her way up, she's a liar but not a dumb one.

But from the ground up Aeri worked herself anyway. Her background doesn't imply the freedom to do as she pleases. When her designs had started covering the racks she used to throw the brands of others she'd wear, they were sewn together by her own needle-pricked fingers.

And if Hyun were to say yes here, she'd say yes to Aeri's favour. Not the Kang's.

Which is perhaps where the real temptation lies: watching her best friend show off with things she's put together for herself, a ladder she'd not only climbed, but also built.

"You mentioned something I could do for you in return," she says, leaning away slightly to regard her with a teasing look. Honestly, she'd had her at the first hint of an idea of a suggestion here. Watching Kang Aeri turn heads in Milan while she upset the deeply Catholic country with her wife at her side, arms linked or around waists, all while said country could not say anything for how powerful her presence was, how lucrative it would be?

Witnessing that with her own hand stuffed in Boram's, all while she could sit by, smell like the finest of perfumes, dismiss people with 'I don't speak Italian, sorry' and pretend trouble doesn't await her back home?

Oh.

Yeah.

Definitely.

"You're lucky I'd do anything for you," Hyun says, reaching around with her free hand to pinch Aeri's cheek, which is about as obvious a 'duh, I'm coming' as the phrase itself would have been.

i arrived to my destination safely! thank u to those who wished me safe travels <3 we are hanging out with my grandparents for another day and then going to seoul for the rest of the trip!

okay so i’ve been speaking to my dad exclusively in korean since the beginning of the year to be sure that i didn’t sound absolutely ridiculous here lol and it seems to have paid off bc my grandma said i sound very natural ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜ we will see if she was only saying that as family when i actually go out in public and whatnot haha

i tried reading wind breaker on the plane but i was KNOCKED out so i only made it to chapter 30 lmao but i am gonna try to read some more tonight! btw if u read that drabble i posted, did u like it?? kinda rushed but i literally could not resist the calls of suo. do expect to see more of him in the future 😌

hmmm, that’s pretty much it! if anything fun happens or i feel inclined to share anything else i will certainly be back later :3

i'm here !! yesss sorry for replying like four days later honestly it's so pretty but we ran out of things to do in the seoul so i've been wasting my energy shopping around :') visiting nami island and one of the famous palaces were the highlights of this trip so far and i dont know what to do to top those two experiences 😞😞 but yess ! omg my tour guide did recommend that but my family wanted to catch the zip line over to nami island so we skipped lunch and spent like two hours walking over the snow.

but no i agree !! sk is on a whole other level with their puppy fashion omg even just trimming the fur around their feet to make it look like irregular shoes makes my day omg i love it so much 😭😭😭 as for the bakeries omg i haven't been to as much i'm afraid i'm losing my taste in sweet foods because the darkest of dark chocolates are my favourites and even then they're still too sweet for me i'll definitely give it a go if something matcha flavoured catches my eye and if it does maybe i'll share a few pictures with you 😊

also i gave that fic a read this afternoon when i was on the train to busan (thankfully no zombies but unthankfully no gong yoo either) i cried then omg but you were right i totally wish i was marrying that zeke it was a lovely read so thank you so much :') i'll have to scroll through your bookmarked fics on ao3 because i'm going through a reading withdrawal

still lots of best wishes for you too !! time has gone too fast but too slow at the same time :') i'll be leaving back to my own country and all its responsibilities in about a weak sighhh

(Kuala Lumpur, 9th July 2024) - Kim Sung Kyu, the leader of K-pop group INFINITE, sent  INSPIRIT – the boy band’s fandom – on a high with the announcement of his upcoming solo  Asia Tour, with two nights in Kuala Lumpur as his first stop! 

Organised by D-SHOW, with Offbeat and 43 as Promoters, 2024 Kim Sung Kyu Concert [LV3:  Let's Vacay] Asia Tour in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled for Saturday, 10th August at 8pm and  Sunday, 11th August at 4pm, taking place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. 

INSPIRIT in Malaysia will have the privilege to be the first to experience the tour, which marks  Sung Kyu’s first time in the country after 11 years, as well as his debut solo performance here. 

With [LV3: Let's Vacay], Sung Kyu continues his [LV] solo tour after [LV2: Like Your Vibes] last year and [LV1: Light & Voice] the year before, it is definitely a not-to-be-missed occasion for fans anticipating his appearance.  

Always a well-known figure of K-pop, Sung Kyu debuted in 2010 as the leader of INFINITE  with their first mini album "First Invasion", which includes the lead single "Come Back Again" that cemented their reputation in the new K-pop generation. He would go on to carve out a  successful multifaceted career through music, films, TV shows, musicals and hosting.

I feel like Lev was originally invited to South Korea for a modeling job! He’s been on several billboards across Asia, and they really wanted him for the shoot

It’s his first time going to South Korea, so he figures it might be nice to take some time off after he’s done with work to explore Seoul - and he thinks that bringing along his s/o would make it super fun

When he’s feeling a bit tired/low energy during the shoot, he’ll sneak behind you and wrap you in a hug, saying that he’s “recharging” you cannot tell me lev wouldn’t do this bc we all know he would

Lev is easy to get along with and instantly befriends a lot of the staff working the photoshoot. He definitely asks all the stylists, translators and photographers for their favorite spots to hang out, go shopping, get food/drinks, etc. 

Takes the time to explore all the recommended spots with you - expect a lot of cute selfies with you to be posted on his private/personal insta

I feel like he’s dedicate one day to shopping and would make it so fun - super playful, he loves picking out outfits for you and when you do the same - you two have a mini fashion show with all your purchases (Model lev is making the $$$) when you get back to your hotel room

requested: DPR Live scenario where he and you are on vacation at your old home town and he gets jelous of how much time you're spending with your childhood friend. A/F (smut if you want)

- Based on Latino/Brazilian Culture; when your mom and your friend talks, it is in your language, put in english for international reading; Y/C = your country, Y/BF/N = your best friend name

 There had been a while since you went back to your hometown in Y/C. You won a scholarship and went study in Seoul, where you met your boyfriend, Dabin. Not knowing that much korean, your first friends had to be the english speakers, and it was at a bar that you became friends with Dabin and Barom. At first, as he said sooner, he thought you’d be interested in Barom, since he’s the one girls fall for more frequently. You did find him handsome, but Dabin’s charm and inteligence made you fall in love with him almost instantly.

So after six months of dating, Dabin gifted you with this vacay trip to your country, so you could see your family. Your boyfriend knew how bad you missed them, it was something you’d say everyday after calling your mom; She was the person you missed the most. It was scary to live so far from her and you knew she missed you as much as you did. “How about visiting your family?” that’s how he invited you, not making anything but having a box with the tickets and a little plane toy. That was so important for you, like, having your first boyfriend at your house, living for a moment what you used to, unbeliavable.

The trip was in a week so you hurried to prepare your stuff. Packing was impossible, you just didn’t have that much patience to do it alone, so Dabin helped you, or tried. His clumsiness was just hilarious, You’re folding it wrong you clown!” you’d scream thousands and thousands of times, but it was funnier indeed. All the details were checked and everything was ready three days before the departure. “I’m so anxious to meet your family, do they speak english?” Dabin asked, clearly nervous, “Kind of. My mom only knows the basic and my father thinks he does but you’ll be great, I promise. They’ve been practicing” you calmed him down, “I’ve practiced a little as well, wanna see?” he shyly revealed and you lost yourself in such cuteness, “Oh babe you’re so cute, let’s try having a basic conversation so” and the two of you started talking. His Y/L was just so cute, we was indeed trying and it just made you feel how sure you were to be with him

The whole plane thing was tough. 20+ hours traveling, changing from plane to plane. Dabin was trying to make you keep up the peace but you would just sleep as soon as you got on your seat. You knew he’d be brushing your hair with his fingers, maybe watching a movie and playing with your fingers, he was just taking care of your tired self. “We’re here, wake up babe” you heard his voice and woke up energetically. You went straight to the luggage room while Dabin went to the immigration one. The two of you met and got your stuff.

“Mom!” you screamed your mom in your language and she jumped. The both of you started crying non stopilly. “I missed you so much my love” she said, “are you ok? Really tired huh? Let’s go home” your mom said cupping your chin with her hands, “Mom, this is Dabin, my boyfriend” you said and held his hands, “present yourself in my language love” you whispered to him and heard him trying his best to make it out. Your mom giggled, “hey my in law, are you tired?” she said running her hands through his hair, “What did she say?” he said shyly, “she asked if you were tired, just nod and we can go” you joked and so he did, nodding rhythmically.

The little car trip from the airport to your house was full of conversation, you updated your mother about your life while Dabin was completely lost. “I feel weird not knowing your language, I should start having some lessons” he whispered and you kissed his forehead, “I’ll teach you dorky, if you feel uncomfortable tell me, she said she’d try her best speaking english”.

When you two got home, there was a huge reception party happening and you just sighed, this was so your family you didn’t even mind. You introduced your boyfriend to your whole family and the last person was the one you missed just as you did your mother. It was your best friend, Y/BF/N. “I can’t believe you got your ass here to visit me” he said hugging you as tight as a bear, “Stop dirty I have a boyfriend now, Dabin, this is my best friend” you said introducing both of them to each other. You heard some shy “Hey” coming from their mouths but in a few the conversation started. Suddenly Dabin said, “I’ll let you two chat a little, I’m going to take a shower, can you ask your mom to show me the directions?” you felt something was wrong but didn’t really know what was. You called your mom and kept chatting. “Do you feel like he’s jealous?” your friend said, “I didn’t think about this but I think he felt that. And it happens because Dabin doesn’t understand what we’re talking and feels excluded, I’ll go see him, excuse me” you said realizing what you just did. The biggest law about this trip was ‘don’t let me excluded just because I don’t know the language’. He did think about it altough he understood it would be unintentional sometimes.

Getting to your previous room, you found him resting while watching some tv, “Is everything ok my dear?” you asked closing the door. “I’m just tired, couldn’t really handle this, I didn’t think it would be this difficult to try to understand your language” he said a little disappointed, “Hey, is this the only thing? You said you could handle it fine” you tried to get him confess his jealousy, “Maybe you’re jealous because Y/BF/N was talking too much with me”, “he was with his hands around your waist” he said confessing, “Baby it’s a cultural thing! I did warn you! It’s normal to hug, kiss people’s cheeks, have arms around waists, you shouldn’t be jealous of something I had warned” you kissed his lips, “I’m yours and only yours right? I would never let him do something that was umcomfortable to me or to you, I just didn’t really mind since I’m used to this. I know it is a cutural shock but c’mmon, let’s go downstairs they’re putting local songs, I have to dance”. You pulled his hand and he wrapped himself around you, “I just didn’t think it would be this difficult to have someone with their hands around my girl’s waist you know, I’m sorry, it was ridiculous of my part” he kissed your cheek , “Let’s go I’ll teach you how to dance”.

Just as the clouds shrouding the city in mist had so subtly predicted, it had began to rain, and it had began to rain mercilessly.

The raindrops fell from the clouds, plummeting towards Younghyun's bangs at a lightning pace as if the seemingly harmless, rolls of white and grey had finally reached its breaking point and decided to offload their anger on the public.

Gradually, with each droplet gathering into one big puddle, and escalating into a waterfall, he could see the drops draping precariously on the rough tips of his brush shaped bangs, as if he was wearing beads on the tips of his hair.

Younghyun sighed as a song he held dearly to his heart, the song that spoke for their hustling generation, Forever Rain started to play, perfectly in sync with the now, unlike him. He had sighed a lot of times today, but that was most probably, his expression to life most of the time.

His songs, too, were sighs of his own. Younghyun's self written songs were never a voice of his own-they were simply a insignificant puff of hot steam, emanating tiredly into the air like a ball of wispy feathers only to disappear into thin air two seconds.

This song on his phone too, was a sigh.

A beautiful sigh.

His pretty, gradually angled eyes looked up to the sky with the gaze of a baby lamb-innocent and demure. The world seemed to stop for him as he saw the beautiful teardrops of the sky pour down, knocking furiously onto his shoulder and asking for an invitation to come in.

The clouds were of white, grey, and dark grey hues, all layered vaguely together in a gently fierce gradient as their feelings oozed out onto the lamp posts, from the tips of Younghyun's raven locks to the edges of his tailor made black shoes, skimming to the depths of the drain.

The sky when it cried was so beautiful, and so unjudgemental to whoever it poured out its feelings to.

However, beneath the curtain of his clustered, jet black hair hid Younghyun's gentle sigh-in the knowledge that he'd never be able to do the same with his group members.

Still, for the first time since he had come to the thriving, fast paced city of Seoul, Younghyun felt raw, enveloping love drip through every vein in his blood as he stood upright amidst the care of the rain, and listened silently.

"Younghyun! What the heck, why are you standing like that there? You're a soaking mess, get over here!"

Revelling in the quiet of the rain caressing his ears gently and quickly, Younghyun hadn't noticed anything amidst his little zone of peace until his ears opened before his eyes did. Standing across the road was a tall figure with a striking, red umbrella domed over his even more striking blonde bangs.

"Wait, I'm sorry, I just-" Younghyun struggled to gather his words, scrambled across the road like the rain puddles as he broke from his standing position, with rising fear of disappointing his friend in his chest.

"You don't have to apologise. I know you've always liked the rain, you told me that." Jae laughed in his low, boyish voice before placing a hand on Younghyun, who had finally came back to reality and started to approach his friend. Knowing very well that it wasn't the reason for him standing there, the younger boy couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt surface to his forehead as he nodded slowly.

As both of them walked to the venue with a sudden, yet somehow not so awkward silence hanging around them, Younghyun knew, with an uneasy feeling in his heart-that someone that took to socialising like a duck to water, would never understand the pleasure of having something as insignificant as the rain to accompany them.

"H-Hyung?"

"Yes?"

"Have you ever felt lonely before?"

The squeaky sound of Jae's rubber soles ceased with his question, and they stopped walking, in sync with the previous calmness that had soothed Younghyun.

Filling the awkward silence was the pattering of raindrops, crashing louder on the field of ridges in the pavement but a little softer on their umbrella.

Suddenly, the rain didn't seem so comforting after all.

"Lots of times." Jae suddenly spoke to break the silence, with an unreadable, blank expression on his face. Not being able to see a smile spread across his dashing, clear cut features felt very foreign to the younger boy, and seeing Jae feeling lonely, felt just as foreign to him.

Surprise was evident on Younghyun's face as he susceptibly raised an eyebrow.

"You're joking." he said disbelievingly.

Jae shook his head quietly. "No, I'm not."

He looked to the floor with an unusual maturity emanating from his gaze, and paused for a bit before speaking again.

"Just because I have a lot of friends doesn't mean I don't feel alone."

Instinctively and unconsciously, Younghyun's lips parted ever so slightly, gaze transfixed sharply onto the sad sliver of light skating across the curves in Jae's small, miniscule pupils.

He never really saw Jae this sad over something as small as being alone. Over being away from home, sure-over occasional fights with members, sure-but never, the hollowness of not having someone by your side.

Then, an uncheerful-maybe even condescending, maybe even bitter laugh slipped through the gaps of Jae's loosely clenched teeth.

"Ah, Younghyun, I really, really can relate to All Alone more than you think I can." he said, tone a lot more gentle than before before continuing, "It's funny, isn't it? When you have so many people surrounding you but it makes you more lonely than you were before."

Slowly recalling the sting of past incidents, Younghyun found himself nodding as he replied, "Yeah. It really just feels like...just feels like..."

"No one really cares."

The same words had come out from the mouth of two seemingly different people.

Then, with a brief exchange of glances, Younghyun started to giggle with an understanding, almost happy feeling in the crease of his eyes, and in turn, causing Jae to giggle back.

They both stood stupidly in the crowd, in the prominent presence of the storm clashing behind them-laughing, laughing and laughing, before reality hit their smiles like a brick and put a halt on their silly fit.

media release: INFINITE leader Kim Sung Kyu taking a trip to Malaysia for two nights of [LV3: Let's Vacay] Asia Tour this August

Kim Sung Kyu, the leader of K-pop group INFINITE, sent INSPIRIT – the boy band’s fandom – on a high with the announcement of his upcoming solo Asia Tour, with two nights in Kuala Lumpur as his first stop!

Organised by D-SHOW, with Offbeat and 43 as Promoters, 2024 Kim Sung Kyu Concert [LV3: Let's Vacay] Asia Tour in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled for Saturday, 10th August at 8pm and Sunday, 11th August at 4pm, taking place at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.

INSPIRIT in Malaysia will have the privilege to be the first to experience the tour, which marks Sung Kyu’s first time in the country after 11 years, as well as his debut solo performance here.

With [LV3: Let's Vacay], Sung Kyu continues his [LV] solo tour after [LV2: Like Your Vibes] last year and [LV1: Light & Voice] the year before, it is definitely a not-to-be-missed occasion for fans anticipating his appearance.

Always a well-known figure of K-pop, Sung Kyu debuted in 2010 as the leader of INFINITE with their first mini album "First Invasion", which includes the lead single "Come Back Again" that cemented their reputation in the new K-pop generation. He would go on to carve out a successful multifaceted career through music, films, TV shows, musicals and hosting.

After completing military service in 2020, Sung Kyu jumped back into the scene with a three-day “Shine Encore” solo concert in Seoul, appearances in shows and musicals, as well as the release of his third mini album "Inside Me", maintaining an active presence since then. Since his debut solo mini album "Another Me" in 2012, he has released 1 studio album and 5 mini albums to date.
