i hope this ask finds you chilling! it's too bad i missed the stream this week, but i figure i should give you my review of pure or else i'll never remember! that being said sorry in advance if this is annoying at all T.T

anyway overall i really liked it! that's my boring answer haha

my more in-depth answer is sets 100, the set design did not have to do all that but i love that they did. i have to say from the jump the dog made me so nervous but i really did think the dog thing would serve as a catalyst instead of the sawatari thing but they got me, double whammy.

i understand the ryo beef and i'm with you on it he really entered yuka into the competition, did all that, and then got mad about the consequences of his own actions...

i also can get why ppl would say it doesn't have a lot of rewatch value because it was fairly low-stakes and not too bombastic, but i also think there could be a lot to take in from future watch throughs anyway so...

it was really charming to me that sawatari was awkward in his own way, like, he was competent socially no doubt and pretty good at expressing himself but in a way that came off (to me at least) like a d&d kind of low charisma if that makes sense haha just like blunt and to the point but not unkind.

idk where i'm going with this, i just wanted to make sure i made good on my promise to report back 🫡.

Author's Note: Hi Anon! This request is great and thank you so much for it, it definitely is good enough! :) I had fun writing and creating this, even though at the end it's kind of different than what I firstly intended to do. The original idea was to make Y/N very Barbie coded, but at the end I'd say she's Barbie inspired and I focused more on the fashion icon part of the request. Though there's a sweet storyline about why her nickname is Barbie, so I hope you won't be disappointed! :)

Those of you who read my journal comic from last August might recall that I met Robinson at a Trek convention! I'd learned from reading these books that Stitch was considered a white whale among collectors, and now I absolutely understand why. If you're a DS9 fan and you want to try any book from the original run of novels, try this one. By which I mean, try the far easier-to-find audiobook version.

My favorite book of the year is Roadside Picnic by Arkady & Boris Strugatsky. I genuinely did read it the first week of January, but after having it recommended to me for years, I'm thrilled it didn't disappoint. Maybe I am someone who likes Russian novels after all???

The beach and campsite were neck and neck as vacation candidates, but in the end, nothing could beat swimming followed by a barbecue 😂

“You know, it’s really nice like this” Lando says, looking at you and then Max “Like what?” Max asked, tilting his head at the brit “No fighting between you two. I love that” You roll your eyes and continue scrolling on your phone.

Keegan chuckled “Don’t jinx it mate. They’ll be going at each others throat in the next few minutes” You ignore their conversation but feel max’s eyes land on your for a moment before his attention is back on Lando.

“There’s no reason for it right now, is there?” He said annoyed. His attention now on his phone “She’s over there, i’m over here. No need for anything”

“Yeah, until he decides he’s gonna be an asshole again” You say casually “Me? You’re the one with the shady comments” You look up at him “Oh really? I just go on about my day until you decide it’s time to ruin it”

Lando sinks in his seat, hands covering his face “I should’ve kept my mouth shut” Keegan laughs “Yeah, told you so”

“Just shut up, Fewtrell.” “Why don’t you shut up?” You roll your eyes “You’re the one who started this, so keep your mouth shut” You glare at him and before you can say something Lando stands up.

“Enough, please. We’re on vacation. Let’s go eat, i’m sure everyone is hungry” You hum and Max mumbles something incoherent under his breath. You side eye him but he gets pulled away by keegan.

You sit next to Lando and start a conversation about the next f1 season with him.

Max eyes you from time to time, making you shift in your seat. That man was getting on your nerves. But before you could think more about Max, your phone lit up.

Lando looks at you “Who’s it?” “Daniel” He hums “Lando.” You say sharply “I didn’t say anything.” He holds up his hands in surrender “You didn’t need to for me to know what you’re thinking.” He rolls his eyes “He’s been texting you quite often lately”

“And I keep him short. Relax” He nods and brings his attention to his food. You look up and see max looking at you. You raise an eyebrow at him, which he returns before he starts to eat.

“Alright, Good night” Lando says, giving you a quick peck on your forehead “Good night. See ya tomorrow” He waves a little and goes to his room. Keegan and Max wave at Lando before retreating to their own rooms. Max looks at you shortly before stepping into his room and closing his door.

You lay on your bed and watch some tv. You hear some footsteps in the hallway but don’t think anything of it.

A few hours later and you were still wide awake. Maybe you did have to much energy left? Melatonin? No definitely not taking that after the last couple times ended in nightmares.

You flip off the covers, put on some shoes and head for the door. You knew the hotel had a roof terrace that was open 24/7. You waited until the elevator opened on the top floor, which you exited.

A few steps onto the terrace. A light breeze was noticeable at this time. You headed for a few sunbeds when you noticed you weren’t alone. You squint before your eyes widened. Your sudden stop, and the noise of your shoes made the person turn around.

Okay it's me again. So we see that Jd is in Malta with Nicola. We know she there to actively work. She filming Magic far away tree there. So It's not a romantic vacation it's for work but I will say this nobody wants to go to another country by themselves. Also, there's a safety issue as well. You don't ever wanna go to another country by yourself. So if Jake was one of the only people that was free to go, which is probably why he's there. I will say people are jumping ship assuming that they're seeing each other because they spent a lot of time together they think at least. In the video on the boat, what do we see? We see Jake on his phone and Nicola on her phone. At the festival what do we see two people taking a picture and hugging. BTW friends side hug. In all of these photos, we've gotten Nicola nor Jake knew that they were being photographed. So my question is why haven't we seen a picture of them kissing. Why haven't we seen a picture of them holding hands? Or why haven't we seen a picture of them hugging front to front? The only other hugging picture we've gotten is that side hug thing, but friends side hug. They didn't know there would be photographed shouldn't we have seen something else? And why haven't we seen a video from the festival? They purposely tried to create a narrative with those pictures and the way they were dropped until fans put the pictures in order. But in this video, it wasn't set up so we could see they weren't even looking at each other. They sat like two friends not right next to each other, not holding each other . He said one bench, she said on the other bench. I mean, Nicola went to his premier. I'm sure she was always a good friend of his. But we haven't seen anything that would indicate more than friends. I was thinking about how Nemo's family is so little treated (or not even commented) in the book and in adaptations.

No, not his daughter and wife. But rather his parents and relatives.

We know a little bit about his father w̶h̶o̶ m̶u̶s̶t̶ h̶a̶v̶e̶ b̶e̶e̶n̶ a̶ m̶f̶.Did he really not talk to him or hit him? Did they meet often when Nemo was on vacation from school? Did he know he played piano/organ?Did he support certain attitudes of his or did he train him to be just a cold sepoy full of hatred for the English?

And his mother (who wasn't even mentioned)?She was alive and present?Was she like his father or did she offer him assistance?Did she hum or teach him songs?

Nemo had cousins, siblings,uncles or even the famous Indian aunties?

And his childhood is not portrayed much either.What did he like to do in his free time besides playing?Did he have a group of friends at school or just a few?

Some things- I’m slowly changing the look of the whole game. Now that some ✨THEMES✨ are settling in, I’m able to actually make the IF look a little prettier. I have some other art I will be adding later, when something in particular happens in the story, so get ready for that as well! [Also, this is random, but I realize that I’ve never mentioned this… The beautiful hand/forehead model for the SoS banner is my lovely little sister. Hey!! I’m back😭😭😭was on vacation after my brutal exams!!! I passed!! But it was INTENSE! Anyway, I just read ur recent chapter and OMFG!!! WTF!! That was literally insane!! It felt like I was reading pure cinema! Like, I completely didnt think u were gonna have Demeter just straight up deleted like that💀💀😂😂.

(Although, not to be a hater, but she lowkey had it coming… I mean…that’s POSEDION’s daughter ur messing with hun. How else did she thing this would go?)

On that note, I DO feel a little bad for Persephone (only a little, tho, because who basically tries to get their cousin “date-raped” by their uncle so that they can get out of their own marriage 😑. Like girl don’t piss me off 😤👏) at the same time tho. Even tho I didn’t really like him, Zagreas (totally butchered that spelling😭😭) was still her son and I can imagine that no mother wants to have to chose between their kids like that.

(Even if she did have it coming)

With that thought tho…it does lead me to wonder…

If, hypothetically, Percy was ever put in a situation where she has no (absolutely NO) way to save all her yan children which group of kids would she choose to spare amongst the yan children?

Personally Im thinking…

Chances of survival (which group of Percy’s children is she most likely to chose all the way to least likely):

1: Anthonius kids (obviously)

2: Apollo kids- okay so I actually have a reason for this!!! Personally from what I can remember of past asks. Of all Percy’s children the Perpollo kids are the most likely to not turn out complete psycho’s like the rest of the yans because their dad actually raises them like a normal parent would. Apollo has experience with raising children too! And almost all of them were raised to be decent people. So their kids will have the most stable (as stable as it can get for a god I mean) household out of all the yans and are the least likely to be overly violent and sadistic.

3: Anubis kids- same as above^ honestly I think that Anubis’s kids will be pretty chill most of the time, like their father (unless extremely provoked), and stay pretty low key. They might be a little spoiled because Anubis seems like the type but not overly so. Like Apollo he also has experience so I think that their kids will turn out better than the other yans kids and I can’t see Percy as being the type to hate her children solely for their father’s actions towards her

4: Hades Kids- same as above.

5: beelzebub Kids- this is where things start to get…interesting. Percy loves all her kids but I’d imagine her kids with beelzebub will have it rough in a situation like this because if their anything like Beel… I’d imagine that they flip flop between cruelty, sadism, and/or indifference

6: Poseidon kids-bruh💀💀. With the way Poseidon be raising kids Percy would be lucky if they weren’t all sadistic monsters. She’d love them DEEPLY (I just don’t think she would LIKE them very much, you know?)

7: Loki kids- same as above

about your question, it reeeeaaaaally depends on the kid SPECIFICALLY in most cases. like for example, not ALL of poseidon's kids will be evil menaces.... or at least maybe not to a high degree lol, but since we're going my majority i'll judge them based on which yan dad are the most likely to have mostly unhinged kids 😂

1: anthonius obviously 💖 there's no damn way percy and anthonius would ever raise their kids to be evil, they would literally be the most normal, kindest, and empathetic of the bunch

2: cú chulainn! ok so i don't have much on sécy kids yet, but i plan on giving them more daughters and he sucks at handling girls cuz he's too clueless (he'll try tho!). but tbh, i think even the sons would just be huge assholes then psychos really 😅

3: anubis!!!!! you saw how he is with kebi, he's a really good dad 🥹 and he listens to percy (mostly) so he won't corrupt the kids too much.....

Gods you all i cannot explain how much I adore Pollux.

This is going to start happy and get angry before it gets happy again I am upset that people don't think she should be angry at lunar so I may get rant-y. But I promise this is all positive towards her.

Pollux is the first astral Lunar meets. She is never afraid of what she is, she doesn't even try to hide it from Lunar. When he points it out she just looks confused and brushes it off. She's so positive and energetic and what she doesn't understand in social cues and human emotions she makes up for in energy and genuine care. She gives off the most care of the pair initially, especially in my mind when Earth gets hurt and Castor doesn't want to tell her because he's worried she'll get distracted from their mission.

I just rewatched the magic vacation episode this morning where Pollux took Lunar and Castor to Paris and China and oh my gods I was giggling so hard the entire time. I love her energy and her heart and how much of herself she puts into everything she does. She wants to take in everything, she wants to learn everything that she can. Throughout lunar's training she's constantly their hype man (hype woman? hype star? who knows), and that carries on into their relationship, as she tries to support him when he's struggling with his emotions.

She sometimes reminds me of a puppy with how hyper and excitable she is, constantly moving, dancing, shimmying, singing, etc.

Pollux is genuinely willing to change how she sees the world for Lunar, her first real friend, her partner, her mentee. She's willing to spend countless hours watching rom coms to learn how romance works, she wants to learn more about earth (the planet) and teach her brother and Lunar, she says specifically that she is learning how emotions work because she wants to understand how Lunar sees the world and to be what they need in a partner.

Now, current lore time. This is my opinions. If you have problems with it, scroll away or block me. It's not my job to keep you happy.

Pollux deserves to be angry. Some people don't like this, but she deserves it. Her first friend, her partner, a person she is willing to change heaven and earth for turns away from her, AGAIN, and seeks out someone who can help them cheat their way through his training.

She repeats multiple times to Lunar that "they aren't like him" they don't feel emotions the way that he does, and oh my gods does that hurt. She's trying to close herself off because she doesn't understand why she's hurting. If she had never met them, if she hadn't come to earth, if she hadn't started learning how love works, she wouldn't be feeling this heartbreak, she never would have learned how to feel. And now she can. And she Hates it.

Its the same feeling after starting to unmask, or after a dissociative episode. Feeling too much, wanting it to stop but also hating that you want it to stop. She's fundamentally changed as a person, both her and Castor have.

Now she sees lunar as "annoying" and "stupid". She's trying to bury her feelings under anger and numbness. She's acting more like Castor, turning that bluntness that Lunar said he loved against him and trying not to show how hurt she is.

She ignores him, turns a cold shoulder, snaps at him, and just repeatedly acts spitefully towards him.

When castor came to check in on Lunar during his first trial, he'd said that Pollux was the one doing a lot of the talking and fighting for them, without very much rest. Pollux is strong and brave and does not get enough credit for it. Queen Kat does an amazing job with her, showing a character who is learning to be human as her lover loses their humanity.

Pollux and Castor's relationship is adorable to me too, because she's so confident and stubborn, she drags him along and he just goes with it. He watches hours of movies with her, he listens to her rants even when they aren't things he's interested in, he genuinely listens to her opinions and doesn't look down on her for being more chaotic or childish.

Pollux tries to explain to lunar so many times that it's okay if he can't do more, he's doing enough and she's proud of him for that, but he never listens and just ends with them all getting hurt.

I love Pollux so much as a character though, as a kid growing up with a mythology + astronomy obsession, and that continuing into my life now the entire concept of the Astrals is so so cool to me and I love what LAES is doing.
