As Satoru got up out of his seat, his hand brushed Suguru's shoulder, answered an offered fistbump from Yu and gave a playful punch at Kento's arm as he walked past. The airport terminal was oddly quiet, the world beyond the frosted glass too static, a reminder that none of this was real.

In that unreality of this place, under a sign stamped with the characters for ARRIVALS, Satoru was no longer a teen as he had been moments ago surrounded by the friends of his youth. He wore the clothes he'd worn earlier that day, loose fitting robes comfortably draped over his form and nothing obstructing the sight of his eyes. Who Satoru had been with those children was nothing like the Satoru Gojo in the presence of this ancient calamity; it was two different worlds, two different balances of people who peered into his soul and understood.

"You had some nerve, sending me off with some sappy poetry shit." Satoru laughed as he greeted the newcomer, arms crossing as his face settled into its signature cocky grin. Despite everything the King of Curses had done, despite being his murderer, Satoru could not conjure even a drop of malice into his words: "I'm happy to see you finally made it here, you big bastard."

He can't believe she actually ate it. Working his jaw back and forth, he makes a last ditch effort to get it down. Maybe he can swallow it whole, like his cell phone. He goes for it-- then spews green mist across the table, heaving. "AGEUGH-ECK!" For a minute, he continues to gag like a cat, tongue out, pounding his fist against his chest. Then, at last, he licks the inside of his cheek and wheezes, "The taste's not the problem. The taste is great."

I'm going to update them as soon as possible. 💪 So many of the tunings in these two mods were edited so I have to re-do the mods.

I tagged some mods as required updates for adding compatibilities to traits/ skills/ minor features of the new pack on my spreadsheet but they are safe to be used in the game. My other mods and traits are compatible with the current patch. 

After fixing the rest of the broken mods, I will playtest with the pack more to see what extra features I can add to my mods with the new attraction system.

been some time since they had such closeness ( it comes with a price, kaeltyr knew, such was the reason for denial to begin with ). and in the end it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all--

head is tucked into the crook of his neck and shoulder, eyes closed, breaths calm. these moments are sacred, for they shall be amongst the last ( perhaps that is why they feel so momentous, so meaningful despite what's unsaid ). "do y'think," kaen breaks the quiet, tone soft, a lazy drawl as they pull away to look up at him, "we'll find each other again?" the seriousness of their question dissolves as they offer a wry grin. "i know y'hate that shit, but..." the thought trails off, leaving him to fill the void left behind.

Precious days ticked down to Christmas Eve. He did his part in the plotting, the training, the tasks that needed to be accomplished that only he could do, but the others have finally stopped asking where he'd disappear to in the rare moments where he wasn't needed, when he was allowed rest. Satoru couldn't fault them for leaning on him so heavily, feeling their faith and all their hopes placed on his shoulders once more. He'd taken the burden willingly, as he'd never been given a choice to be unwilling. He knew he'd fail them, and that was okay, because this time they'd be strong enough to pick up what he left behind.

But here, he could prematurely set that weight aside, just for a little.

It was just peace, the weight and warmth of Kaen's cask against him where Infinity usually hummed instead.

"do y'think, we'll find each other again?"

His immediate reaction was to do something silly to deflect, the mean streak in him wanting to push Infinity out in a layer between them and watch Kaen slip to the floor. It's not like he hasn't pulled such tricks before and it never stops being funny.

But the words and their ache felt so familiar that it pulled him back to another life, another Christmas Eve in the alleyways of the school where he'd faced his own last moments with someone dear to him. He'd looked Suguru in the eyes, smiled, and asked him that same impossible longing:

"We'll see each other again, won't we?" "You could at least curse me a little in the end."

But it had been a curse. Satoru's whole heart had been poured into those words, his longing so strong it had doomed him. He'd known then and he hadn't cared, because he wanted it too much and nothing else mattered.

Just as Yuta had once unwittingly bound the soul of his beloved, Satoru had bound his own fate.

As the curse was fulfilled, he'd seen Suguru again and it'd undone him. But still Satoru could not regret the mistakes he'd made, as he'd called out for Suguru's soul and it had answered. They'd met once again at the end of their separate tragedies and Satoru would not take that back no matter how much it fucking hurt, no matter how big the scale of his mistakes had cost lives, no matter the grief that came with the loss of others he cared for.

It was agony and it was a mistake and it would always be worth it.

As he chewed on the words and his thoughts, feeling no hurry to make a response, his eyes cast down to Kaen on his chest, in his arms, physical eyes meeting even as they Saw each other in every other way.

"I think if you wanted it badly enough, then I would have no say in the matter," he finally uttered softly after a long silence that stretched minutes. His voice was calm, unbothered at all by the thought.

He really didn't care If Kaen cursed him or not; it would always be worth it.

No one asked but here's some thoughts about Stephen's current and future life.

First of all (and to be completely honest), before Blood Hunt, I do think Stephen was starting to find joy in being the Sorcerer Supreme now that things were seemingly going well in his life.

Just to name a few, he befriended his general self, his marriage was rekindled, Mordo was finally locked down, Clea and Umar were starting to find a common ground (at least, they were not enemies anymore) and Donna II happened, blessing their lives. Stephen was finally thriving. He was executing his duties just fine despite the challenges of being Earth's magical defender. Conflict was obviously expected but it was far from the struggles he faced in v4, for instance. There was optimism.

The fact that he seems sad in that Pasqual's post could be about anything but if I was to predict why, I'd say it's because 1) he didn't want to pass the mantle down at this point in his life and 2) he didn't want to pass the mantle down to Victor specifically because well, it's Doom. And let's be real, Jed's interpretation of their relationship is not similar to T&T or Infamous Iron Man or even Secret Wars. Even if Victor is rarely portrayed as a villain these days (more like an antagonist), there's still a certain dread whenever he shows up in stories. So it's only natural for Stephen to be worried about what's coming next.

Personally, I think Victor will not be a bad Sorcerer Supreme. He's competent and incredibly complex. There's altruism in him, especially when it comes to protect Latverians and people in general (Doom 2099 my beloved). And let's not forget about his dramatic ego and petty personality. If anything, I'd go for a gray representation. He will not be the king of altruism (aka Stephen), but he will not be a shallow villain by desecrating the mantle (something I'm pretty sure Mordo would do. Hate that guy). That said... Oh, he's also in for a big surprise, not expecting the burden that comes with such a huge responsibility. But that's just my two cents. Could always be wrong. However, I still remember when he tried to go after Jericho and gave up as soon as the light of the Eye of Agamotto hit him, so... This idea does have canon support.

As for Stephen and Clea, what comes next for them? I know the fandom is desperate for domestic vibes and a peaceful era for them. But let's be real, it's Marvel. Also it's Stephen and Clea. For starters, Clea is still the Warlord of Manhattan, which means that area will remain under her protection, tying her to our dimension. As for Stephen... We know him, right? We know he will never stop doing what he does, Sorcerer Supreme or not. We have tons of magic characters doing their jobs. Even when magic was practically dead, he found a way to keep doing good because it's intrinsic of his personality. And let's not forget Wong and W.A.N.D. They still need someone reliable, and I hardly think they'll go for Victor when consulting all things mystical. Oh, and Strange Academy, of course.

Last but not least, every change in status quo hardly lasts more than a year or two in comic books. It happened so many times before: Salomé, Jericho, Loki, even Clea. It was only natural for Victor's turn, given how T&T is such an important book to their mythos.

As for me? I think it's not really fair for me to share my feelings assuming how much I love both Victor and Stephen. I've seen some unhappy fans (and I can't relate, sorry 🥲) and some excited ones.

The reason I'm still kinda blue is merely due to the lack of new announcements, whether it's a new Doctor Strange book or a mini featuring Victor. Also it's almost certain that Jed is done with his work, which hit me like a train. I really don't want to say goodbye to Jed just yet, and seeing his work continue with Moon Knight while going for the X-books makes me a bit bitter. There's still the possibility that he's staying, but it's all conjecture at this point. I mean, I dread that some bad writer comes next, and boi do I have a no-no list. Hopefully, SDCC will shed some light on these dark times of uncertainty.

Well, that's it. Do I ramble a lot? Was not expecting to write such a long post, sorry about that (old testament me comeback?). Just wanted to write down my thoughts since they were making a mess in my head. If anything, I'll still be around for whatever comes next. After all, my love for Stephen knows no shame 🔥

Since recently everything here has been taken over by dipshits who lack media literacy, i will come back here to say - RWBY is a good show. It is good. It has good story and good writing and good characters. Does it have stumbles and limitations? Of course, like everything else ever created. Is it the real reason yall are dedicating your lives to religiously following and picking apart every detail to find something, anything, to hate on and make it your whole personality? Nah.

Yall are just pissy your hc wasn't canon. And i'm only half-joking.

Yall are just stuck in the expectation of "cute girls in school fighting monsters and baddies", which it hasn't been for almost a decade. Let Beacon fucking die already, it was the most boring part of the story anyway. If you like it so much, watch.. idk, high guardian spice. Or maybe my hero academia, it has godawful writing too with your favorite Adam-like and Ironwood-like archetypes you adore so much.

And if you didn't click off already in hissy rage, and want to challenge me on the writing point:

Yall are complaining about pacing, characterization lacking, skipped development, insert some other reason, how "show went to shit after volume 3". Well, newsflash, look back at volume 1. REALLY look at it, without your nostalgia boner.

How, in what actually can fit into 3.5 full-length episodes, it skips a whole semester with only a few moments shown in like 3-8 minutes. Notice how Ruby and Pyrrha interacted like 2 times in 3 volumes total. Ruby and Penny? Yeah, they barely interacted too. Ren hasn't talked to rwby girls at all aside from ensemble scenes.

Too many characters in later volumes? Honey, 1-3 had SO many pointless grunts and you ate them up. The whole Vytal festival was filled with them.

Can you tell me the plot of volume 2 from the top of your head? Yeah, me neither. If i think maybe i can remember there was a mecha fight, a dance and a train, but beyond that what was the point of that entire volume again?

Your favorite, pedestalled, volume 3, most of which is fighty-fighty filler and the only stuff you actually remember when jizzing your pants about it is last 3 episodes.

Most character interactions and development happened after Beacon arc. Most actual plot and bigger story happened after it too. Yall are stuck circlejerking to *filler*, setup, which only purpose was to show the status quo to later destroy it and start to show the real picture.

Do you know why v4 and 5 feel so empty and missing something? Sure, juggling multiple plots gave it's pacing issues too, but it felt empty because there were no side characters to fill out the world and make it feel alive. V5 cast was so tiny it felt like nobody interacted at all. Because there were none of those "extras" yall hate on so much. The extras make the world feel real. Which is why Atlas feels alive when Mistral wasn't.

The most complaints about later volumes are chucked down to lack of media literacy and nuanced reading of situations and characters. Translated for your easier understanding: the writing was too nuanced for your "cute girls go fighty fighty brrr" brain to comprehend. Sometimes things require you to put the situation into character perspectives. Sometimes their decisions are made under stress + personality + influence of events and interactions. But i guess yall don't want to think, yall just want to watch "girl go brrr killy killy monster"

I can continue writing down all these other points, but i'm hungry and should get up so i won't. Bottom text: RWBY is a good show with good story and good writing and good characters. It has struggles and fumbles like every other piece of media. But for some reason, because it's indie, it's held to a much higher standard and everyone feels entitled to pick apart every detail of it to make themselves feel justified for feeling sad over their dead headcanons, even though they'd never do the same picking for big production popular series with much *much* worse writing than even the worst of RWBY's fumbles.

If you made it this far and are a member of rwde, congratulations, you still have a reasonable bone or few. Most others i guess clicked off at first point and blocked me after sending me some kinda death threat, idk, i haven't posted this yet after all.

[NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES]

I went the most off script with her, but twas worth it. I really like how she came out :))

When V4 came online, they were alone. Well, not literally. Their creator was still there. But besides that, they didn't really have anyone to interact with. Their creator was not that caring for their wellbeing, and often left them to their own devices. They'd try to prove their worth by learning from Shockwave, tinkering with things they'd find in his junk pile, attempting to make something of it.

Like anyone would do, they'd wander around trying to find something to do if they got bored of learning. There, they met Starscream. He'd treat them cordially. He actually showed care for V4, offering to teach them how to use their alt mode to its fullest. Like the others before them, they were given a name: Vilith.

One day, something in her routine changed. A minicon not unlike her came to the lab, energon seeping and pouring out profusely. She was instructed to take care of him. The new bot protested, but Shockwave was firm. He was too busy to do it himself, he stated. She wasn't a fan of this newcomer's, Vitriol's, shit ass attitude. They got on eachother's nerves, constantly making comments back and forth at eachothers expense.

Overtime, the two became close, going further than their shallow exteriors, both relating to eachother's loneliness and desire to prove their worth. It was then that she was given a new name: Mirage. All of her bullshit cynicism was a mirage, according to Vitriol.

Eventually, though, he stopped coming back.

I like to think that Shockwave now has more experience designing, so all of her fuel lines aren't as exposed, and moved away from the much slower drone design that the others had (to Starscream's suggestion). Also, while she does start off using they/them pronouns, I think she much prefers she/her.

Currently in the process of writing this series for real but it'll probably be a while until the first chapter is published. :P
