It’s Yamikumo’s birthday, and she still hasn’t gotten out of the mirror.

It’s Yamikumo and Deku’s birthdays, and she’s still stuck in the mirror.

How is she going to greet them happy birthday with a birthday gift if she can’t even go to the bathroom?

"Really?" The thought definitely amused her. "Cockatiels sound cute... I wish I could see them."

Eri entertained the image of a cockatiel in the form of Present Mic's head on a bird's body a little before smiling to herself. If they were anything like she was imagining, then they must be funny-looking birds. But wait, he said that their feathers looked like his hair when they're excited, right...?

"Does that mean you're always excited, Present Mic-san? Because your hair is like an excited cockatiel?"

“Present Mic-san, what’s a ‘cockatiel’? Sometimes, I hear students say you’re like a cockatiel. Is that true? Are you a cockatiel, whatever that is?”

“ Cockatiel?!” The man questions before pausing, thinking it over before laughing. It wasn’t the first time he was compared to the bird. But he hadn’t expected to young girl to ask him about it. “ It’s a type of bird Eri. But people say I look like one because when they get excited their feathers go up like my hair. ”

What do you think of bun Deku?

"'Bun Deku'...? Do you mean my bunny toy that looks like him? I like him, he's cute just like all my other toys. I still don't know why people like to think of Deku-san as a bunny, though... Bunnies are small and soft and look like they're shy, but Deku-san is big and strong and likes to play with me a lot."

"Kacchan-san...? It's.. Kacchan, right? Deku-san always calls you that even though Red Riot-san and the others you Bakugou, so I thought it was your 'hero name'... I hope I got it right..."

"Uhm, can you show me how to play the drums...? I still remember you playing them at the festival, and it was really cool. I wanna know what it's like..."

A guessing game? Eri was kind of good at that. "O.. Okay." She took a moment to stare real hard at the boxes, trying to visualize what might be inside each ones. So far, much of the presents she got were often little plush toys.. but there was a box as big as her, so at least that one can't be a toy, can it...?

Well, there was also that gigantic toy sword she got from Christmas. Maybe it was something like that.

"Are they.. toys? And the big one is another big, fake sword from The Last Fantasy, just like the one Tsukuyomi-san's present was on Christmas that I got...!"

“Well, Eri-Chan...” he replied, placing the boxes down in front of her, one of them being almost as big as her, before sitting down to be closer to eye level with her,

“You’re a pretty smart kid. I want you to take a guess.”

This was.. the man on the TV. The villain that Deku and everyone else fought. The one who caused massive destruction, enough to bring a city to ruins. ...What did he want from her?

Eri.. couldn't help but stare. As she waited for the student to finish talking to one of the teachers here at the teacher's dormitory, she simply stayed put hiding around the corner leading into the hallway. Her gaze was locked on the unfamiliar student's ears and tail, though. She.. really wanted to know what they felt like.

She's.. She's supposed to be safe now. UA's a safe place. Villains weren't supposed to be able to get in here.

... And yet, there he was.

Eri.. was hyperventilating. Panicking. Hawks would be saying things, and yet all she could hear were just muddled out noises amidst deafening numbness in the ears. She’d try desperately to understand everything he was saying, finding it strangely odd how her trembling body would somehow manage to navigate through his cell phone like he instructed. 

Yet, the second their location was sent, the child just couldn’t hold herself up any longer. All she could do was cling to the hero like her life depended on it. Whimpers and hiccups and cracked pleas would just keep spilling from her mouth like liquid. Apologies and terror and shame blurred the vision in her eyes with tears.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I-I can’t do anything to help... Yy-Y-You’re hurt... y-you’re gonna die...! I-I don’t know what to do, I’m so sorry, please don’t die, please, don’t die, please...!”

This is what she gets for wanting to go outside for once. Just when she’d finally found herself willing to break out of her shell, little by little with Hawks and everybody’s help... Now he’s hurt. He’s hurt, and he’ll die because of her.

Apparently, some heroes were coming to UA in order to talk to a few of the pro hero staff members. Well, it’s something like that, at least to Eri’s knowledge. She didn’t get all the details when she overheard the talk among the teachers. All she knew was just that there were going to be heroes arriving for some reason.

Poor child never got the time or day of when that was going to be happening, which explained why she was surprised to see someone that wasn’t one of the UA staff members coming in through the teachers’ dormitory entrance. The hero’s height alone caused her to feel rather intimidated, making her shy away behind the sofa that was closest to her there in the common lounge.

She’s.. pretty sure there was nothing to be afraid of, yet as much as she knew that, Eri couldn’t help but feel anxious.

Another one of Eraserhead’s students? She isn’t quite familiar with this one, but she does know that she’s from Class 1-A... It must be weird seeing a little child within the teacher’s proximity, though. He doesn’t seem like the type of person to personally parent a child, according to some of the teachers.

Oh no... Her drawing is completely ruined... It’s the first time since Eri’s ever tryied to make art with paint. It was hard, trying to make the colors show without making them too watery. Not to mention, her cup of dirty paint water was too close to her papers. She accidentally knocked it over, resulting in the mess.

Eri sniffled. She tried not to cry from being too frustrated and worried. There’s no way she can save any of this now. So much for trying to make something for Eraserhead, Present Mic and all the other teachers that looked out for her. Even worse, she has no idea how to clean this up. It’s even gotten on her clothes too. She might get in trouble, or so she thinks.

First apple juice, and now pancakes in the morning? She even gets to watch some cartoons when normally she isn’t allowed until after breakfast...! Eri sipped out of her favorite cup, nodding her head delightfully in response.

“Can I have chocolate chips in mine? Chocolate chip pancakes are really tasty, it’s my favorite kind of pancakes.”

So far, Jowi has quickly become one of Eri’s more favored babysitters.

“Suneater-san? Can you make bird wings?” She’s fidgeting in place, unable to hide the eagerness inside. Ever since being told that this was something Suneater could easily accomplish, it’s been on her mind for the longest time.

“Lemillion-san says you look like an angel whenever you do it, and Red Riot-san said he saw you do it before, too...! Can I see what it looks like? Please??”
