It felt like his heart was going to burst. New thoughts were beginning to flood and swell his brain. Yayoi. He's looking for Yayoi. Why in the world is he looking for her? What did this man want to do with her? Did she finally get found out and is being hunted down? What will happen to him if he shows that he's associated with her? If he spills something out now, will everything be for naught? What's going to happen to him...??? What’s going to happen to them?
... What's going to happen to Yayoi...?
..No, he can't have anything happen to Yayoi. Even though she can be overwhelming a lot of the time, he can still remember the look on her face when he said he'd help her reunite with her dad. She needs him. She needed his help. And when all things are said and done, in the end, she's... She's... ..She's still the only friend he's ever had in such a long time.
Deku felt his right hand twitch, aching to reach back and draw forth one of his hidden knives. Panic was screaming for him to get rid of this man before he could have the chance to ruin everything. Reasoning, however, begged to extract information first and act accordingly after. He dryly swallowed to steel his nerves, and beads of sweat began to dot the sides of his head.
"..I-If I told you my answer, what would you do? W..What's your relation to this girl...? A-A--And why are you looking for her???"
If only he could get a closer look at this man's face and lose him... It'd be all over for this pursuer then.

A tall man in a dark trench coat stopped, looked at Deku, and placed a hand on his shoulder before he could walk past him. "You there, just a moment," he said, his long brown hair hiding his face in a dark shadow. "I want to talk to you for a second."
Instincts were immediately kicking into high gear the second this random stranger decided to stop him in his tracks. Deku’s mind began racing a mile a minute, scrambling here and there for a reason as to why someone would possibly want to talk to a plain-looking nobody like him. Not wanting to make a scene, he just stiffly obliged to the tall man’s request.
Next thing he knew, they were both just past the corner of an alley to the side from the public’s flow.
“W..Wh-What do you want...??”

[ SERIAL KILLER SENTENCE PROMPTS. ]
Deku really would’ve liked to have left this grunt alive, make them a living example of what’s to come for the structure of this society. He only needed to cut off those legs, really. That’s where the Quirk is utilized, after all...
..But then they had to go and remove his mask. If it weren’t for Yayoi, Deku probably would have had to kiss his goals goodbye. No matter, the two of them already got the information they were looking for: a confirmation on the League of Villains’ current objective, and why they weren’t at that hideout he’d predicted them to be in prior. Looks like they’re still recruiting people into their organization, explaining their division into smaller groups with different tasks at hand... And that’s a good thing, really. That meant he can lessen his worries about handling trouble when he get the Hirose’s reunited once and for all.
“R.. Right.”..Still, the thought of murdering someone never failed to get him to hesitate. In all his works as a villain in the making, not once has he ever outright made sure to kill anyone he encountered. It’s always because of the fact that he made sure to hide his identity, but now that his identity was on the line, he had no choice but to leave this person for dead.
He just stood there, looming over the adult, unable to bring himself to do it...Personally, he’d rather have Yayoi do it, but her scalpel was already in his hands...

“I’m honestly scared of being a villain... I’m scared of what I’ve done to myself as a result of being so desperate to make a difference in this world. At the end of the day, I’m no hero... I just do things out of spite against everyone who looked down on me for being Quirkless, projecting it into these blind motives that constantly make me question myself...”
“Sometimes, I tend to spite my own self and the morals I continue to keep holding onto. Everything would be so much easier if I was just.. deranged in some way, but I’m not. I care. I go the extra mile to make sure I don’t hurt the innocent, especially those I care about like Mom. I want to make sure that everything I do has good reason behind it, as if it’ll all be justified in the end in some blind hope that it actually does turn in my favor on the long run.”
“I’m just... I’m so scared of being useless... I don’t want to be a waste of space in this world, I really don’t... I just wanted to be hero... I wanted to help make a difference...”“I don’t want to be nothing, I don’t want to be a failure, please...”

Yayoi hugs Deku from behind. "Don't worry, Deku~ I'm here for you."
The hug nearly startled him out of his skin, prompting him to jerk himself away from the hug. Seeing that it’s just Yayoi, though, he couldn’t bring himself to berate her over minding one’s personal space.

@doctorxdeath answered your ask
“I-- think about a week... I think...” His answer came out like a hoarse croak more than anything. Poor kid could barely keep eye contact with the doctor long enough before shivering himself into another dizzy spell. In all honesty, it was probably more than a week, at least just by a day or two. It wasn’t like he was in any condition to maintain accuracy, though. Most of the days are coming to him as a blur when he recalls.
“Th..they’re.. i-in the closet over there, on the---the top left. The towels, I mean. And-- er.. bucket..? Uh, bucket.....” Deku huffed an exhausted sigh, then sat himself up just a bit to point towards the mini kitchen near the entrance of his small, measly apartment room. “Over-- there, I think. Under the kitchen sink. There should be a bucket..... If not, th..en it-- m-might be in the bathr..oom...”
Sadly, it wasn’t long before he started to sway with a dizzied groan. Personally, he would’ve gotten up himself and went straight to fetching the bucket himself. “If--If it’s not under the kitchen sink then j.. just forget about it. I’ll manage... This-- isn’t the first time I had to deal with this on my own...”
He wasn’t.....sure if there was anything concerning that was laying around in his bathroom. And if there is, then the bathroom’s the last place he’d like the doctor to go through.

@plagued-yakuza replied to your post
Chisaki’s sheer presence alone was reacting towards the way Deku had addressed him and he could feel it. Addressing people by their own personal names was simply his way of feeling some kind of superiority here -- a bluff, more or less, indicating he had enough information to know everything there is about a target and their capabilities. Turns out it just made things worse between him and his client, and he was certain he was going to be keeping that in mind from now on.
Deku was instantly tense under Chisaki’s gaze, eye contact quickly broken as he looked down in a sign of inferiority. “Y--Yes, sir---I-I mean---L-Lord Overhaul.” He really should’ve known better than to try and act like he still had some kind of upper-hand against this guy. All it’d take was just for Chisaki to grab hold of him and he’d be a splatter of blood on the walls and ground. Still, Deku needed to compose himself. Showing how much of a pushover you are just makes you an easy target, and he of all people knows it best.
“I.. I can assure you, I make certain that my services live up to its name. Whatever information you want in a person, chances are I’ve got access to all of ‘em.” There was a quiet, slow inhale, and then a quiet, subtle exhale through the nostrils. There was business to be done right now, and as far as he’s aware Deku was getting an offer from someone he respected as deeply as he feared him.
“Of course, with an offer that’s coming from you, sir, I’d personally go out of my way to scavenge more than my personal quota if I possibly can, available or not.” Deku began fidgeting with his hands as he meekly looked up at the more foreboding figure. Despite the apprehension quaking in his chest, his eyes were glistening with genuine resolve. “You see, I.. I-I’ve gathered enough to get an idea as to what you’re trying to achieve, and I have to admit, I’m really glad I’m not the only one who wants to do something about how Quirks have warped today’s society.”
“S-So if my services can help secure that future, th-then---then it’d be an honor to be hired by you, Lord Overhaul. Whoever this person is that I need to scout, I’ll make sure to get every speck of information about them squeezed out, right down to the last drop.”

Drabble: Investigating Subject ‘Kanna Usamunashii’
“Should be any minute now...”
Several days have passed since he was hired by Overhaul to gather information on the subject this time. He had to admit: getting a lead in the very beginning turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Records of this Kanna Usamunashii girl were basically unheard of in the public, not unless you turned around to seek the underworld for them. For that, he had to resort to research on Kaiju Corp. itself, and even then there was very little information to work with aside from their slogan and business in contract killing and weapon manufacturing. In the end he had to resort to field work, and with so little information to use on his end, he had a feeling that this one’s going to be a lot more dangerous if he didn’t play the cards right. An underground business corporation in assassinations and weaponry, a public alias on Quirks and genetic engineering, not to mention what scarce bit of information he had to build on with this lady... Just what is the corporation trying to do?
Better question, yet: are they doing what he thinks they’re doing...?
His train of thought was instantly interrupted when he heard the door of a building swing open and he peeked from where he hid just to see. There, he’d found the target: Kanna Usamunashii. She’d walked out before turning to give a formal bow to what must be the leader, and was then well on her way. Deku quickly began jotting down the newfound information: a confirmation on associating with yet another small group of villains, probably a small yakuza in need of help building their reputation. This wasn’t first he recorded either; there were about five other groups within the district who also sought this corporation’s business, and as far as he investigated they all had a thing or two against each other in terms of territory.
Aside from what he could gather based on visual speculations, this young woman of probably no more than twenty of age was a business representative of Kaiju Corps, and for such a shady business high on alert in keeping personal information discreet, they didn’t seem to care much about providing security for their employees. That’d mean that they were either lacking in their own security department on the field, or each and everyone one of their workers had the capabilities of fending for themselves regardless how big the odds were against them. For someone like Deku, it’s probably safer to assume the latter. So as soon as she turned the corner of the block, the Hero Stalker finally began making his move in tracking her path.
So far, trying to get a map of her walking patterns ended up near-impossible to lay out. Hell, finding a lead on her schedule to start with at whole was just as difficult, too. Hacking the corporation’s system felt like a whole new level of encryption --- if he had to put it into words, Deku would probably even admit that it felt like there was someone actively working as the barrier for all of the organization’s data. That’s pretty much about as good as he could define it. If anything, he’s lucky he isn’t being tracked down himself. At least, that’s what he’d like to believe, anyways. Everything about this corporation was just so cryptic. He can’t even pinpoint a starting point with this woman’s routes. Every point of encounter was completely random, and even when he calculated and predicted where she’d pop up next, turns out he’d be clearly in the wrong. None of her previous routes made a correlation in any way. The only conclusion he could come to was that a teleportation Quirk was involved, and in terms of recognizable patterns, it’s that Usamunashii would cross a populated intersection before turning and disappearing completely in an alleyway, probably to dissuade pursuers like Deku himself.
And sadly, that very scenario ended up happening once again. The second she turned into a random alleyway with Deku just a few stride away, he’d look to find that she had disappeared once more. It sort of felt like she was maybe closer to her job’s location for a moment, though -- Usamunashii hadn’t completely disappeared in the first turn into the alley. Instead, it was when she made another turn did the disappearance happen. Still, another failed attempt in mapping her routes. This is probably the most frustrating subject he’s dealt with yet.
“Ugh.. at this rate I’d feel like I’ve lied to Chisaki altogether about the quality of my services,” he sighed aloud as he flipped through all the pages of information he’s recorded thus far. In summary of everything he’s gathered, all he could deduce was that this lady is strictly dispatched at random in designated underground districts to handle business negotiations and only that. Deku still had written speculations here and there, things regarding any motives and how long negotiations take along with subtle behavioral patterns in addition to possible concerns that Usamunashii may personally have, but it still felt like he didn’t gather enough for a lead. He needs to gather more. He has to show just how good he was at this occupation!
... Suddenly, he felt himself being pulled out of his thoughts. Sobbing. He heard sobbing. It sounded like someone was in trouble-- no, it sounded like that lady was in trouble. He’s memorized the tone of the voice enough from the scarce amount of times he heard it clearly, Deku was easily able to identify that it was her. Question is, where is it coming from? The sobs were coming from all directions here in the alleyway, echoing in an almost haunting fashion to the point he could feel chills run up his spine.
..No, wait, it’s not just the sobs that were getting to him. Now that he’s realized it, the air around him’s gotten significantly colder than he’d remembered. Hell, it was even dropping real fast -- Deku’s already able to see his breath! Dread dawned upon him now, his brain quickly hitting the realization that he’d been found out full speed head-on.
And the only way to confirm it, was if he looked behind him and up.
She was there. Hovering. .. No, that’s a lie. Something held her suspended in the air. A woman. Some sort of hazy, translucent figure. Eyeing him with sunken, hollow eyesockets. It honestly felt like something out of a nightmare; or maybe it was just his imagination exaggerating it from what it’s really meant to be. The way that ghastly, bony hand began reaching out for him was no illusion, however. It snatched him up like a predator and flung him down the alleyway and into the wall before he could even register his fight-or-flight mode. If the wall wasn’t making those crunching sounds as he’d nearly left a crater from impact, then parts of his body were sure doing it instead.
The pain was more than enough to get him moving, though. In an instant, Deku threw a vial on the ground and the chemical reaction from the substance within sparked a mini explosion of smoke on impact. For now, Deku had to get away and fast. He could resume his investigation some other time after this, but right now he needed to deliver what he gathered already to Chisaki before it’s too late. The wind may have been knocked out of him and his bones were screaming from that launch, but he had to run. He’s definitely running. And then his intuition kicked in just in time for him to whirl around in anticipation, only for the girl to burst out from the smoke to plunge a knife to the right of his stomach. The shock of pain nearly had him stumbling and tripping over his own feet when he was forced to stagger. Usamunashii swiftly pulled the knife out before swiveling it around in her hand, and suddenly in came several punches and kicks he did his best to block. There was a brutal kick that made enough force to break the wrist he used to shield himself, staggering him even more, before another stab in the guts landed with a massive kick after to launch him some distance away. Deku could barely feel anything but pain at this point. He could even feel a few ribs ready to cave in on him, too. He.. really needs to get up and flee, to bring his findings to Chisaki at least before expiring...
“Ghhagkhh--!!” And yet, he was now being pinned down by some ungodly force. Bony fingers grounded him by his face, a knee digging into his stomach with the other hand squeezing his broken wrist. The touch was ice cold. Looking up, he merely stared back into voided eye sockets once more.
The ghostly woman figure. It honestly felt like she was getting ready to suck his soul out...
“Yuki, stop---!!” The last thing that Deku heard was Usamunashii screaming out a person’s name before a flurry of freezing wind violently picked up within the alleyway. That figure had suddenly released its hold of the boy altogether, and he shielded his face from the whirlwind of bitter cold air finally subdued itself into nothing. Then, there was silence. Complete, utter silence, with normal temperature finally burning against his skin.
When Deku finally opened his eyes, he was all alone within the vicinity without a trace of Usamunashii or the cold air.

"So you are the one they call the Hero Stalker. Is it just heroes you follow, I wonder?"
Deku could feel a lump swell in his throat, a bit apprehensive upon being discovered. It’s him, the leader of that Yakuza he’s heard about: Kai Chisaki…!! And he personally sought him out!!
With a dry swallow, the young teenager nervously tugged the hood of his jacket lower in front of his face. If only he was able to make extensive research on this man prior to this sudden encounter, he’d feel more confident in addressing him.
“Y..Yes, that’s me, alright.” Despite the trembling in his pocketed hands and rapid beating in his chest, Midoriya kept a relatively calm composure in his response. “I-I… I mainly surround my service on heroes and their information, but my fields of interests aren’t bound by them alone.”
“… I-Is there.. something I can do for you, Kai Chisaki?”

Ghckk--- Talk about a meticulous diagnosis...! This doctor pulled no punches on what ‘the problem’ is with Deku’s lethargic conditions as of late. As much as he wanted to see a doctor, he couldn’t bring himself to worry his own mother about these injuries and where he was even getting them from.As far as she knew, he’s been living a quiet, meek life attending Gen Ed at a boarding school all on his own. He should be safe and sound.
Did he really have to make it sound like a scolding, though...?
“I-I gotta make money somehow,” he replied with a bit of a reluctant pout. “Sometimes, i-it just.. ends up costing a fist or two to get back home alive.”

“If memory serves me right, All for One is capable of taking and giving Quirks, and he used that power to gather people up just to use them like pawns...”
“... But, why though? Didn’t he just end up becoming the reason why we have such a terribly-structured hero system with Quirk regulations? I really wonder what his motives were...”
“That aside though, if he can gather up all sorts of Quirks into himself then think of all the combinations he could do... How does the magnitude of Quirk usage affect him? What about compatibility between Quirks? If Eraserhead were to use his Quirk on him, would it nullify the core Quirk or one of the Quirks? If it’s one of the Quirks would it be the one that’s actively being used only?? What about if it’s the core Quirk? What happens to the rest of the Quirks??? Can Quirks cancel each other out within him or does it cause complications????? How long can he keep them? How many can he keep at a time...?”
