As is typical of him, Dhaos is silent when he is unsure. Well, really, silence is the way Dhaos responds to most things. He looks down at the blond young man with an air of disinterest, his arms hidden beneath the large, orange cloak that falls around him.
"I know neither Ferines nor Orerines. These terms mean nothing to me."
He speaks and looks back at the sky, eyes tracing the twinkling stars that have become his only companion as of late.

Dhaos pushes himself up, ignoring how his limbs protest, how his bones ache under the skin. He cannot stop here, not in this place, not before his duty to his people has been fulfilled. It would be a mistake to rest here again. He's aware of this now.
He looks down at the stranger before him, ignoring her vulgar language as easily as one might brush off a stray leaf. Especially in the wake of what she says to him.
Tumblr media
"You saved me...?" Dhaos asks, his voice quiet. He regards her critically for a moment—trying to discern whether or not she is lying to him. He can't sense anyone else nearby, and the mana within this one is strong. She must have...
He lets out a short sigh—one of relief rather than irritation—and kneels down before her, placing his hand over his chest.
"My name is Dhaos. Thank you for saving me, who is but a stranger to you. I will remember your kindness on this day for as long as I walk this universe," he pledges, and he sounds completely sincere and genuine as he does.
He straightens up, adjusting his cape over his shoulders. It's long enough that it brushes against the ground. "I am no one of importance. Just a traveler passing through this world."
She had found him in the forest, beneath a canopy of trees and brush. An unconscious man, bathed in the thin, gold light that escaped the boughs and leaves. His body limp, skin pale, and breath thin, Death whispered in his ear. For a moment, Neraine hesitated, contemplating if he was her problem, and he was, because she couldn't walk away. There was nothing noble about it: Nera was scowling even as she knelt at his side.
"Can he be helped?" Nera asked, even as she pressed her fingers beneath his jaw and felt his faded pulse.
"What afflicts him is not an illness of the body," The High Priestess whispered to her. "His soul is rotting. I can do nothing to save him, but you can."
Intuition filled the gaps. What he needed and what she could to provide it. The quiet knowledge and instinct of the High Priestess, nestling deep in Neraine's mind. She knew what she had to do and she knew how to do it. It didn't mean that she was excited about it.
Neraine turned her face up, lips pressing thin, and closing her eyes, steeling herself for the next step. (Why, on God's green Earth did her powers work this way? For fucks sake). She gathered the reserves of her magic. Neraine grasped the man by the jaw, leaned forward, and kissed him. Her lips scraped over his and then she pressed in, until ice and crystal bit at their skin, the chilling cold of her power seeping into him.
Neraine pulled away, hand swiping over her mouth, and rolling back onto her hip. She felt her power thin and wane, as her magic infused the man's body. In seconds his skin flushed and his breath returned to him, a ragged gasp of oxygen. Then, he was upright, looking at her, alive.
"Well, the one who helped your sorry ass, to start," Neraine grunted. "I hope you don't make a habit of passing-out in the middle of the woods, i'm not doing that again." She pressed to her feet and swiped dust and leaf litter off her skirt.
"So, what are you, some kind of runaway prince?"

“And why should I care about such trivial matters? What happens to this world is of no consequence to me.” Dhaos finally spoke after a long period of silence. His voice is dull and tired, despite the harshness of his words. Why should he carry the burdens of another world? He has his hands full with his own.
Sharp blue eyes were focused on the red-haired youth before him. He doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he’s watching his sword in particular. It’s almost like he expects to be attacked... hm.
“An outsider such as myself would just complicate your matters more.”

Dhaos cut an imposing figure, watching as the woman was brought into his throne room. Twin statues of a woman holding a large vase, water pouring from them endlessly into fountains at her feet, marked the entrance to this room. The room was large and oval-shaped, with a floor that looked like it was made from glass. It seemed like stars and nebulae slowly swirled beneath the glass. This was, of course, not real. It was simply a projection technology that Elysium had invented. Still, it cast a glow from below on everyone in the room.
Dhaos said nothing at first, looking to the two guards that had escorted her. He raised his hand, and the two backed away from her.
"Palace Gudra must truly be desperate if they have sent spies to even Elysium." He finally speaks, his eyes locked on hers. "I have made my intention to stay out of their petty conflict clear."

“It seems that what I seek is not here either.” Dhaos grips the railing of the ship, looking out at the ocean. There is some sort of force in this world, but it’s not one that Dhaos is seeking. It’s too wild and unwieldy. It bites and snaps at those suspeptible to magic, as if it were its own living thing rather than the veins that carry life throughout the world.
No, Dhaos had no use for anything here.

His eyes narrowed. More locations that he's never heard of. Dhaos gave a short nod to one of his guards, signaling they should retrieve the map from this woman. The guard in question stepped closer to Sun and extended his hand expectantly.
"No such continent exists." His fingers drum on the arm of his throne as he thinks, his blue eyes unreadable.
"Not on Derris-Kharlan. What do you call the world you hail from?" As Dhaos spoke these words, both guards in the room grew stiff, then looked at Sun with bewildered expressions.
┆ ° ♡ • ➵ Well that certainly was troublesome. He hadn't heard of such a famous forest. The possibility that she ended up in a place she could easily return home from was off the table.
Tumblr media
┆ ° ♡ • ➵ Why was he asking where? Gao was a famous forest that everyone knew of, so if he didn't know it was likely her stating its location wouldn't be all that helpful. "The Sybakian continent of Tethe'alla. By Ozette and Mizuho. I have a map in my purse if ya want me to point it out to you. Although there are daggers in there too, not trying to get stabbed by a guard for attempted assassination so I haven't reached for anything yet."

@sentofight asked:   The Chromatus bearer came to a stop when he felt a weird presence "And what can I do for you? I don't think we have ever met before ... " not an aura he recognizes it [dhaos laser please XD]
"We have been traveling for a great deal of time. We are searching for a place to rest our feet," Dhaos replies simply, keeping his eyes locked onto the Chromatus user. Just as Victor can feel something odd about Dhaos, Dhaos can tell that there's something off about Victor. A strange power that he can't quite identify. He inclines his head, speaking a little less overbearingly formal now. "I didn’t intend to sneak up on you."

He really was very tired, but if he needed to keep moving, then he would have no problem with that.

A bright flash lights up the area as Dhaos comes in into being. For a moment, he is floating above the ground with several wings fanned out behind him. They’re oddly still and stiff as he hovers for a moment, hair fanning out behind him. Then, abruptly, they fade and Dhaos lowers to the ground.
A single breath leaves him in a sigh.
He won’t have the mana to make another jump for a long while. At least this mana-rich world will allow him to recover faster than most. In the mean time he’ll— —He’s being watched. He can feel it in a prickle along the back of his neck. He turns his head slowly towards the source.

@eternalidealist in response to [x]
Dhaos has just two jumps left. Two jumps and he will no longer have the power to travel time and space. And yet, he still hasn’t reached the end of atlesian task. He reaches out to place his hand on the tree, trying to gauge it’s mana while the other speaks to him. It’s far too young to produce a seed right now, and even if it wasn’t, the mana stores weren’t enough.
But he’s found it at last.
Tumblr media
"Why have you come to visit this tree?” Dhaos turns his head to look at Lloyd. There’s certainly a peculiar air about him. If Lloyd had been able to sense mana, he might have noticed that there was something distinctly...different about Dhaos’.

azotas:
@akashicmuses liked for a starter
Bounties on monsters and bandits were commonplace, and the world outside the walls and fences was dangerous. Killing wasn’t a crime out in the world. Vence gives a pause, watching the blond man and the bandits around him. In all honesty, he could leave while the bandits tried getting money out of the poor sap- but that would be boring. A breath, then a smile grows upon his lips.
“Absolute.”
This wouldn’t be murder- He was simply protecting a civilian from being taken advantage of. More importantly, he got to do something a little fun. The high-leveled fonic arte seems to scare off the bandits, sadly- Vence would have liked a good fight, leaving him and the stranger.
Tumblr media
“So you know. Killing in self-defense isn’t a crime. You’re lucky they were just cowards after money.”
It seemed that this sort of story would repeat, no matter where he went or searched. He’d only arrived on this planet a few days prior and he was already being accousted. Dhaos felt his lip curling upwards, about to give a show of power that would frighten the pesky humans away.
It turned out that he didn’t have to. Dhaos turned his head towards where he’d heard the voice. For a second, all he can do is stare in silence. There was something distinctly off about this person. His presence resonanted in a way that made him feel more like a spirit than anything else.
This world’s composition was so strange and alien to him.
Tumblr media
“You have my gratitude.” He finally speaks, and his voice is quiet. “Where is the nearest human civilization?”

Dhaos simply frowned, not recognizing the location she'd mentioned. "I have never heard of a forest by that name." Gaoracchia... Dhaos shook his head, eyes still laser-focused on hers. He ought to just throw her into the dungeon and be done with things. He always had so much work to do.
But... there was something tickling the back of his mind, something that demanded attention. There had been some rather odd occurrences as of late. Objects disappearing, maids disappearing for hours, and then being returned disorientated.
"Where is this forest you speak of?"
┆ ° ♡ • ➵ Steel hues watch the man carefully as the angel of fortune evaluates the situation, she is in. One moment she was in the forest of crows and death monster hunting and the next in whatever this pretty place. Two guards and the ruler. She could most likely take them out if need be. Although, regicide did not seem like a smart idea. Confusion becomes evident on her face as he finally begins to speak. Just where did she end up? Elysium or even Palace Gudra, they didn't ring a bell.
Tumblr media
┆ ° ♡ • ➵ "You've lost me, bud. I'm, unbelievably, not a spy." Not that a spy would admit they were one, although judging by how she was brought to what she supposes is the ruler they probably aren't used to spies or even assassins. "Never been to either place, honestly, I was looking for zombies in Gaoracchia Forest to slay and ended up here."
