@pirtecolin gets princess pen
She was meant to be meeting her husband in a few weeks, her parents had arranged the match, it would be beneficial to both kingdoms. It was why she had been put on that ship, to go meet him, to become the future queen of another kingdom. The weather had other ideas, there had been terrible storms, the captain had not been able to keep the ship afloat, the last thing she remembered was the water beginning to fill the rooms. After that it was pitch black, everything was still pitch black, she was cold and her dress felt particularly heavy. Maybe she was already dead and she was meant to live feeling this way for the rest of eternity.

The first thing she registered was that she was no longer in water, the second thing she realized was that she still so very cold. She willed her eyes to open, to figure out if she was truly dead or if someone had managed to save her. She wasn't expecting to wake in what appeared to be quarters, although the slight swaying told her that they were still in a ship. Just not the ship she had been on, of that much she was certain. "Where am I?" her voice sounded hoarse even to her own ears and she realized it might have been from the screaming, or from nearly drowning, she wasn't entirely sure.
colin had not been prepared when his crew said they were coming across a ship with a royal seal in pieces. he was not in the mood to take on a royal passenger, but his first mate reminded him he could use them as bargaining chips and get some money they could use for supplies. he agreed to allow them to see if there was any survivors. they only found a women. a young, redhead women, whom colin could not help but notice was very pretty. he arranged for her to be brought to his quarters, and waited for her to awake. he had as clean of clothes as they had, but at least they were dry. ❝it is all right miss, you are safe❞ he tried to smile, but found himself.. a bit not like himself.
