please have mercy on saturday when you look at the prompt list and the prompt you thought was an obvious pwp starter has somehow migrated to the sfw list. i tried SO HARD to guess right i swear. but we are facing a broad user base with diverse behavior paths. so to speak.
(this is my own fault for failing to provide sufficient documentation, obviously. it's not like you can read my mind either. trying to get it right is stressful tho.)
learning a lot of new skills in a very short period of time in order to most effectively share the almost FOUR HUNDRED prompts we have now received.

I've decided to go ahead and report the new desktop feature that eliminates icons from reblogs to Tumblr Support
Send your feedback!
Click here - Category ''feedback''. I don't know if it'll amount for much but I'd rather have them a wave of formal feedback than fake ignorance about the userbase's discontent.
Here's a template if you wanna copypaste:
Hello! I've realised Tumblr has made the decision to not show icons from reblogging users in my desktop dashboard. This decision is truly impractical for most of the userbase, who are used to identifying the people they follow by icon. It makes the user experience actively worse. Besides from that, I also want to report the feature that takes you to a rebbloging user blog when you click on it instead of taking you to their reblog on their blog. Also, clicking on the post shouldn't take you directly to the OG poster blog. Clicking on previous reblogs and ''tracking'' the flow of reblogs that took the post of your dashboard is common practise (as is checking out the tags). Please do understand these measures aren't improving the site: not for newcomers nor for the longtime userbase. People do not come to the site for a Twitter/IG/Tiktok replica, they come for its unique features that you're slowly stripping away. These are: - Tags. They aren't an useless hashtag system like IG, they are a genuine organisation system when searching for specific content. In reblogs, they serve as organisation and as commentary. Commentary in the tags is one of the most unique feautures of the site. - Reblogs as flexible and creative intervention. Different versions of the same post can circulate for years. We have posts from a decade ago still appearing on our dashboards. It's one of the better features of the site --- trend cycles don't span a few days like other social media. - This is a blogging site as well as a social media site. Embrace that, please. Access to the desktop view (where you could customise a blog's html look) as well to easy access to the Account is unique and essential. The sidebar doesn't work. It doesn't look good and it's clunky UX-wise.

Turning a scam on people...
So on LinkedIn, if you post under the hashtag #OpentoWork grifters pour in with a scam that goes something like this: • Where do you want to work? Where do you live?
Send me your resume, I'm a recruiter.
• Our AI bot says your resume is not up to snuff we can offer you editing services, go to non-company website to see this other person.
Usually something like Fiverr, or an employee not related to Adecco, Superior, or whatever company they claim to work for.
You could just simply report them to the companies they say they work for... Or you could counter grift on them. lol. Which is what I did, because I've gotten so much spam over the years in terms of phone calls and grifters, that for my own amusement, I play with them.
When it became clear they were only grifting over the resume versus placement and helping to find a job, I countered their grift and said, "I'm sorry you haven't really sold me." (Basically) "and it's clear from what you said you never really read my resume, or you'd find out that I'm into UX," (which one of the people didn't know what it was, which made it worse for them)
lol I said, tell you what since I have a degree in Anthropology, have taken classes in psychology and sociology, I will charge you 50 dollars an hour to fix your grift so it sounds more believable. And then reported them to the companies they said they belonged to.
Don't fall for this grift. You can do the AI check yourself. And real companies shouldn't be trying to take money from their workers in this way.
I've caught other scammers too... so yeah. I caught a fake pest control guy once which was wild. I caught a fake restaurant. And I tried to get news media to pay attention to the fact that the Atlanta shooter was lying because he was and no one had checked any of the yelp reviews for the stores, so I posted it up, found an Asian news organization, posted the screenshots of the reviews and asked them to try to force the news media to get people who spoke the languages to report. 'cause I'm getting better at smelling scammers.
But if you would like to report all of those people on linked in and have some fun, go ahead, do as I did and counter offer them.

In a strange turn of events, the mass media technologies built out during the heady authenticity days have had a huge part in facilitating this new mass media culture. The hashtag, like, upvote, and retweet are UX patterns that systematize endorsement and quantify shared value. The meme stock market jokers are more right than they know; memes are information commodities. But unlike indie music 10 years ago the value of a meme is based on its publicly shared recognition. From mix CDs to nationwide Spotify playlists. With information effortlessly transferable at zero marginal cost and social platforms that blast content to the top of everyone’s feed, it’s difficult to for an ethics based on scarcity to sustain itself.
After Authenticity

Having seen your post about it: what is your preferred acronym for accessibility? I'm partial to AX, to keep in line with UI/UX, but it may have the same issue as a11y in being hard to interpret for the unfamiliar.
so if I'm writing anything myself or searching for info online, I'm just going to spell out accessibility, 'accessible design', 'web accessibility', or something.
AX is cool and I like classifying it as an integral part of user experience. It would be what I'd choose if i could wave a wand and make something change. (But if I get one petty lexicographic wish I'm not burning it on a11y, it's a minor gripe)
a11y i think has the advantage that it's searchable, the way '#actually ___' etc tags are kinda useful on tumblr because they don't pick up random uses of the word, and i think that's a nice benefit. while i dislike it, that i do have to grant it that. it's an understandable compromise to the nature of hashtags on twitter etc.
honestly i found myself using 'WCAG guidelines' (or 'ADA compliance' lmao) a lot as acronyms for accessibility, but that's coming from a decidedly-non-expert working with other decidedly-non-experts (in a place where it was often hard to get developer-hours for accessibility work).

Top SEO Trends for 2025
The online world changes fast, and the SEO in Melbourne can be tricky. This guide will help you. We will look at top SEO trends for 2025. These tips will boost your online presence. They will bring more people to your site. Let's get started!
AI-Powered SEO: The Smart Future
AI is changing SEO. It understands search. AI looks at lots of data. This helps find good keywords. AI also creates targeted content. Think of AI tools. These tools suggest topics. They can even improve old content. Use AI to boost your brand with MMW SEO in Melbourne. For example, AI can check out rivals. It can find keyword gaps. It can even guess future trends, like more interest in eco-friendly products. AI can also personalise your website. It can show users content they like.
Short Videos: Grabbing Attention
Short videos are very popular. Think TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. These are not just fun. They are also search engines. People find products. They learn new things. They get information. Make short, fun videos. Use keywords and hashtags. This will make you more visible. Video is important for SEO now. A local cafe can show off food. They can give a behind-the-scenes peek. Use trending music and effects. This makes videos more engaging.
Better User Experience (UX): Happy Visitors
Good user experience matters a lot. A good site is easy to use. It loads fast on any device. It works well on phones. Google likes sites with good UX. They want people to have a good time. Make your site faster. Optimise images and code. Make it easy to get around. This helps your SEO in Melbourne. It also makes users happy. A clean design is very important. A simple menu helps a lot. Make sure your site is easy for everyone to use.
Focus on E-E-A-T: Building Trust
Google cares about expertise. They value experience, too. Authoritativeness matters. Trust is also key. These are called E-E-A-T. They build a good online name. Make good, helpful content. Show what you know. Be honest with people. This will improve your rankings. People will see you as a leader. Back up what you say with facts, and show your credentials. Ask customers to leave reviews.
Voice Search: Talking to Search
More people use voice search now. Think Siri and Google Assistant. Optimise for voice search. Use simple language. Answer common questions. Think about how people talk. This helps people find you. Instead of "Melbourne cafes," say "cafes near me with outdoor seating."
Local SEO: Connecting Nearby
Local SEO is important for local businesses. Claim your Google Business Profile. Make sure it is correct. Get reviews from customers. Use local keywords. For example, "cafes in Melbourne." This brings in local customers. SEO in Melbourne needs a local focus. Put your address and phone number on your site. List your business in online directories.
Featured Snippets: Getting to the Top
Featured snippets are short answers. They are at the top of search results. They are very valuable. Try to get featured. Answer questions clearly. Use structured data. This change brings more people to your site. Use headings and lists. Keep your answers short and sweet.
Mobile-First: Thinking Mobile
Most people use phones online. Google likes mobile-friendly sites. Make sure your site works well on all devices. Test it on different phones. This is important for changes directed by MMW SEO in Melbourne. Make sure your mobile site loads quickly.
Content is King: Creating Value
Good content is still very important. Make helpful, interesting content. Focus on what your audience wants. Use keywords naturally. Don't stuff keywords in. This will improve your rankings. SEO depends on great content. Use different kinds of content. Try blog posts, videos, and infographics.
Image and Video SEO: Enhancing Visuals
Images and videos are powerful. Use good file names and alt text. Make images smaller. Use high-quality visuals. Instead of "image1.jpg," use "melbourne-cafe-latte.jpg." Add captions to your images. Use high-resolution images.
Backlinks: Building Authority
Backlinks are links from other sites. They show you are an expert. Get good backlinks from relevant sites. Build relationships with others. Make content people want to share. This will improve your rankings. SEO in Melbourne needs good backlinks. Write guest posts for other blogs.
Long Content: Providing Depth
Long content is valuable. It covers topics well. It shows you know your stuff. It attracts backlinks. Make good, long articles. This will improve your SEO. Break up long articles with headings.
Social Media: Amplifying Reach
Social media does not directly affect rankings. But it can bring in traffic. Share your content. Talk to your audience. Build a social media presence. This can indirectly help your SEO.
Measuring and Adapting: The Key to Success
SEO is ongoing. You need to keep an eye on things. Use analytics tools. See what works. Change your strategy as needed. SEO in Melbourne needs constant attention. Use SEO tools to track rankings.
The Future of Search: Staying Ahead
Search changes all the time. Stay up-to-date on trends. Try new things. This will help you stay ahead. Follow SEO blogs and news.
SEO takes time and effort. Follow these tips. You will improve your online presence. You will get more customers. You will grow your business.

With AI playing a greater role, zero-click searches on the rise, and emerging technologies shifting the landscape, SEO strategies must adapt to remain effective. 1. AI and SEO: Artificial Intelligence Shapes Rankings Google's algorithms are becoming more sophisticated with AI advancements, particularly with the rise of Google's Search Generative Experience (SGE). SEO now requires high-quality content that directly answers user queries, focusing on natural language and topic relevance. 2. Zero-Click Searches: Optimizing for SERP Features Google is increasingly displaying answers directly in search results, reducing the need for users to click on websites. To benefit, businesses must optimize their content for Featured Snippets, Knowledge Panels, and People Also Ask sections. 3. User Experience (UX) and SEO Go Hand in Hand User experience (UX) is crucial for rankings. Factors such as page speed, mobile-first design, and interactivity directly impact SEO. Google prioritizes websites that offer a seamless and fast browsing experience. 4. The Growing Importance of E-E-A-T in Content Credibility Google’s E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) is more significant than ever. Websites that demonstrate expertise and credibility have an advantage, especially in sectors like health, finance, and technology. 5. Voice and Visual Search: SEO Beyond Text The use of voice commands and image-based searches is rising. Businesses must optimize content for long-tail keywords and conversational search, while also ensuring images have descriptive alt-text and structured data. 6. Local SEO and Google Business Profile Optimization Local searches remain crucial for businesses. Managing Google Business Profile, encouraging user reviews, and acquiring local backlinks will enhance a company’s local presence. 7. Social Search and Video Content Optimization SEO isn’t just about Google anymore. Users are searching for information on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Optimizing content for these platforms with proper hashtags, descriptions, and SEO-friendly titles will be key in 2025. 8. Digital Marketing Trends & Local SEO: What’s New in 2024?
In the ever-evolving landscape of digital marketing, staying ahead of the latest trends is crucial for businesses looking to maintain their competitive edge. As we move through 2024, the intersection of digital marketing trends & local SEO is shaping the way businesses connect with local audiences, increase brand visibility, and drive conversions. Let’s dive into the most important digital marketing trends of the year and how they impact local SEO strategies.
The Rise of AI in Digital Marketing
Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionize digital marketing. From content generation to personalized marketing, AI is playing a significant role in shaping campaigns. Here are a few ways AI is transforming digital marketing in 2024:
AI-Powered Chatbots: Businesses are increasingly using AI chatbots for customer support and engagement.
Automated Content Creation: AI-driven tools like ChatGPT and Jasper AI help marketers create high-quality, SEO-friendly content.
Predictive Analytics: AI algorithms analyze consumer behavior and predict future purchasing patterns.
AI is also enhancing local SEO efforts by helping businesses analyze search trends and customer behavior, optimizing their digital presence for better local search rankings.
Voice Search Optimization
With the growing popularity of smart speakers and voice assistants, optimizing for voice search has become essential. Here are some key aspects of voice search optimization in 2024:
Conversational Keywords: People use natural language while searching via voice, so businesses must incorporate long-tail, question-based keywords.
Featured Snippets: Voice assistants pull answers from featured snippets, making snippet optimization crucial.
Mobile Optimization: Since most voice searches happen on mobile devices, having a mobile-friendly website is vital.
Businesses that prioritize voice search optimization will have a competitive advantage in attracting local customers.
Hyperlocal Targeting and Google Business Profile Optimization
Local SEO in 2024 is heavily reliant on hyperlocal targeting. Businesses need to refine their local SEO strategies by:
Optimizing Google Business Profile (GBP): Keeping business information updated and encouraging customer reviews.
Using Location-Based Keywords: Including city and neighborhood-specific keywords in website content.
Creating Geo-Targeted Ads: Running PPC and social media ads targeting specific geographic locations.
A well-optimized Google Business Profile significantly improves a business’s visibility in local search results.
Video Content Dominance
Video content continues to dominate digital marketing. Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels are major drivers of engagement. Businesses must leverage video marketing by:
Creating Short-Form Videos: Engaging short clips optimized for mobile viewing.
Incorporating SEO in Video Descriptions: Using keywords in titles, descriptions, and hashtags.
Live Streaming: Real-time engagement with audiences through Q&A sessions and behind-the-scenes content.
Local businesses can utilize video content to showcase products, highlight customer testimonials, and provide local event coverage to enhance their local SEO efforts.
Mobile-First Indexing and UX Enhancements
Google’s mobile-first indexing prioritizes mobile-friendly websites in search rankings. Key factors businesses should focus on in 2024 include:
Responsive Website Design: Ensuring the website adapts seamlessly to different screen sizes.
Fast Page Load Speed: Reducing load times to improve user experience and SEO rankings.
Easy Navigation: Implementing intuitive site structures and clear call-to-action buttons.
A mobile-optimized site enhances local search rankings and improves overall digital marketing performance.
Social Media SEO and Influencer Marketing
Social media platforms are now search engines in their own right. Businesses must optimize their social profiles and content for better visibility. Key trends in 2024 include:
Keyword Optimization in Social Posts: Incorporating relevant keywords in captions and hashtags.
Social Proof & Reviews: Encouraging customers to leave reviews on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
Influencer Collaborations: Partnering with local influencers to reach a targeted audience.
Social media SEO can significantly boost local search visibility and drive more foot traffic to brick-and-mortar businesses.
Conclusion
The landscape of digital marketing trends & local SEO in 2024 is driven by AI, voice search, video content, hyperlocal strategies, and mobile-first optimization. Businesses that adapt to these trends and implement robust local SEO strategies will stay ahead of the competition. By leveraging AI-powered tools, optimizing for voice search, and enhancing user experience, businesses can maximize their online presence and attract more local customers.

Original Content Writing
Content is Connection.
Content isn’t just words, images, or videos, it’s designed communication with a purpose. It’s about making information clear, useful, and engaging within a specific context for a specific audience. If no one engages with it, does it even count as content?
For me, content is all about connection. I noticed this while helping a friend promote their small business on Instagram. At first, they were just posting pictures of their products with no hashtags. The posts got almost no engagement. But when we redesigned the content, adding captions that told a story, using hashtags to reach the right audience, and incorporating behind-the-scenes videos. the engagement skyrocketed. People started commenting, sharing, and even messaging to place orders. The difference? We made the content intentional, it wasn’t just a post, it was an invitation for interaction.
Good content is crafted for a discourse community, structured with user experience (UX) in mind, and measured through data and engagement. Whether it’s a TikTok, an article, or an email, content isn’t just what you create, it’s what people connect with.
