It only emphasized the true gravity of the injuries she had suffered at the hands of her students. Eyes closed, a soft sigh leaving the adeptus’s lips--Her azure eyes open half-liddedly, before she manages to use what little energy still within her to turn her head to face Lin Zhaoyu.

when a weathered diary falls upon her desk, her first instinct is to peruse its contents, skimming the anecdotes and imprinting into her memory the primitive maps drawn on parchment. before she was ever appointed tianquan, ningguang was an inquisitive individual who often satiated her curiosity with research and adventure. though she had never truly frolicked about teyvat with naught but the clothes on her back and the stars as her guide, a sense of wanderlust lay dormant within her ( it’s why she always needles outlanders for stories of their travels, to at least live voraciously through the lens of another, if for but a moment ) on a rare day meant for herself, ningguang clutches the journal to her side, spending half a day traveling towards mount aozang where hidden treasure lay untouched and hidden. she comes to a point where the poorly drawn maps begin to lead her in circles, and it is there she allows herself to rest under the shade of a tree, her guidebook open on her lap. “ hmm, i wonder if i took a wrong turn somewhere. ”

Cloud retainer supposed that if there was one person she needed to see in this form, it was her....acquaintance. Though the other’s over enthusiasm on being ‘companions’ did leave the adepti more than annoyed on more than one occasion, at the very least she wanted to see the girl’s reaction. Yes, it should be a surprise that she decided to follow in Moon Carver’s and Mountain Shaper’s footsteps.

“Child,” She addresses Yukine whens he arrives at the mountain, sitting in her assigned seat at the table. “You did bring this one Jewel soup, yes?”

          “Whoa--!” The sudden impact of weight on her head was definitely a shock. It wasn’t that Kyu was heavy, but rather that he surprised her. Lets be real, he weighs as much as a stuffed animal. But no stuffed animals talked, and no one made noises like Kyu did. Yet...why was he here? Nicole was sure that she had returned him to his friends. The girl with the pink hair. She was with one who had green hair...and he seemed to recognize them.

          “--Wha’chu doin’ here, lil’ guy? I though’ youse found yer friends las’ time. Did ya need somethin’ from me?”

It’s practically perfect for gliding from above. “Is it just me, or is the wind blowing even harder than before?” Amber murmured, looking up at the night skies. Granted it was already nightfall, and it usually gets colder in the dark. Most people were already heading home themselves, but Amber’s got a pretty weird feeling about this. “Hmm...”

 AH,  PERHAPS  IT  SHOULD  HAVE  TRIED  TO  EXPLAIN  WHAT  IT  WAS  LOOKING  FOR.  that  would  certainly  help  the  human.  thankfully,  said  human  was  able  to  give  it  a  way  to  show  what  it  was  looking  for.  so,  without  pause,  it  pressed  a  paw  against  nicole’s  cheek,  all  the  while  keeping  its  eyes  on  every  human  that  was  currently  in  the  store.  pink  hair    …    blue  hair    …    green  hair    …    blonde  hair    …    nothing  ?  so  they  weren’t  here    …    that  was  disappointing.        ❝    mokyu    …    ❞

           Goodness, if she weren’t so set on helping it look around...she’d have been dying from the cute. It’s little paw was so soft and tiny...and they themselves were just...adorable. Pretty smart too. They got what she was saying and acted accordingly instantly. With that, Nicole know had the understanding they were looking for a person. That...both made things easier and more complicated. It means someone else was possibly looking for this little creature as well. Nicole looked around too, and...granted she had no idea who the hell she was looking for. But judging by how no one said anything, and how sad Kyu sounded, she could only assume they weren’t there. “...Ya don’ see them, Kyu?”

Discovering the campfire here is not something she expected in the first place. The possibility of someone being here in the midldle of the night has been so low, but she guesses now t’s the way she meets new people. Some adventures around Liyue seemed to be rather interested in the atmosphere that was created by the stars and the moon. So beautiful, she admits, but cooking? The smell of the food has been so pleasant to her.

“Isn’t it dangerous for a young lady to be alone under the moon, hm?” Zarina makes herself known for the sake of politeness that she doesn’t care about, but if this girl has weapons all the better for her to make sure that things will be alright. For the future, at least. There are many people who behave cutely, but can take out weapons to cut your throat.

          “Stitches?” Leaning down, she carefully, politely, and gently takes the shells out of his hands. There. Her hands and arms were significantly bigger than his, so carrying them is simple. Now they can go get a bucket together!

          “Here, I’ll hold them. So when we go ge’ a bucke’, we can pu’ them in an’ youse won’ keep droppin’ ‘em!”
