So far my favorite song on the UTY ost is definitely Meltdown. It combines two of my favorite tracks from the Undertale OST while being its own thing. Like legit I cannot get enough of it dude 😭😭😭

I fucking love the opening for starters, the piano motifs from Another Medium, the bass line and driving rhythm of CORE, all with the electric guitar and orchestra synths bringing it all together. Like holy SHIT this OST is a banger and this song especially.

Guys I need help

This one part of Remedy gives me Homestuck vibes and I can’t figure out why

My brain is drawn to Sunslammer, Rex Duodecim Angelus, and BL1ND JUST1C3 1NV3ST1G4T1ON, but none of them feel quite right

A Clover trait that I haven't seen anyone mention is that they actually have a good or nice singing voice according to Insomnitot. Adding to this, from the Lucky Patch teaser we could assume that they also know how to play the harmonica. What I'm saying is that Clover is, on some level, musically talented.

And if we take into consideration what Martlet says during one of her team talk dialogue about the boss themes (OSTs), music (at least in UTY canon) is a way for monsters to express themselves. It's a natural occurrence formed by the magic of the monster you are fighting. So therefore, music would be connected to identity and expressionism in the Underground.

So, do you think while traversing the Underground Clover would hum little songs to themselves? Do you think Clover would play the harmonica for Dalv which inspired him to create a new music piece? Do you think while in the saloon, Clover and Starlo would sing a duet together or play the harmonica for him? I mean it is implied that Starlo inherited his mother's voice and that Crestina is good at singing.

Do you think while traveling through Steamworks, they would tap on the metal to the rhythm of songs they like while Ceroba watches on? Do you think while traveling with Martlet they would sing a song with her as Martlet fumbles through the lyrics?

Do you think that in every timeline Clover plays something or sings something for Flowey, sometimes making fun of him but other times in a genuine way to express how much they are thankful for his company? Do you think that in every other universe, Flowey tries to play the harmonica with Clover teaching him and he's so bad at it that Clover makes fun of him? Do you think that as he resets more and more, going through timeline after timeline, he slowly gets better to the point he finally learns the song that Clover was teaching him?

Do you think that that timeline was the last time they will ever play the harmonica or sing for him and he didn't realize it? Do you think that long after Clover's sacrifice, he finds himself humming the song subconsciously only to forget the next part and look to the side to ask Clover only to remember that they're gone? Do you think he sometimes still hears them humming along?

okay so first things first what i'd got so far on how i'd think this au would be able to work (just a simple quick explanation aa

- I'd like to think after the final right of the UT true pacifist route, Clover was able to retain some monster magic (just a reeeaal small-almost negligible amount from everyone) and that's what would allow their soul to have a stable/""liveable"" form (sorta)

- As for the other human souls i'd leave that up to interpretation, if you'd like you can probably imagine the same thing would apply for the rest, but it could also work that clover's the only one that ended up this way because they were the closest to "flowey as flowey" so something something make of that what you will (who knows maybe it could be an unfinished business thing lmao-

**to be frank i mostly just made this au quite literally when i was carsick and fell asleep while listening to uty ost and i dreamed it up and uhh hand slipped-

ALSO since this would take place post UT pacifist, they’d probably stay with Martlet in the meantime-

Honestly when I thought of Martlet and Berdly, ALL I could think about was this art by @bud-arts! Before I even played UTY I saw this sketch and I thought it was so funny and I just love the idea of them being related and I think this really captures what I would love in their dynamic.
